VRooooM!! VRooooM!![i/] The sound of the harley screaming seemed to punch a hole in the thick silence as it approached the garage. The engine continued to purr as it's rider drove it into the huge massive building, heading for a particular spot. Nothing seemed to phase the rider tonight. A glimpse of a brown jacket and black hair flickered under the evenly spaced lights as he went, a trail of smoke following behind him.
He finally found his spot and pulled in, a dirt caked boot kicking the stand into place as he shut his beauty off. Logan took a long drag off his cigar and exhaled, the smoke floating up to form almost a halo around his devil horns before fading away. It felt good to be back home. Mexico is not the best place to be. His keep eyes noticed every corner as they swept the room. A moments pause... Sounds like someone is up. Never a dull moment.
A grin crossed his face as he stepped off his bike and swung his duffle bag over his shoulder. "It's good ta be back." he muttered as he walked through the garage toward the door. 'Ro would have his head if she caught him smoking. Just the thought of it made his smile widen. This was going to be fun. First stop: kitchen. Next bed.

From the kitchen a humming could be heard of an old children’s song. Even though it was only a hum it seemed a bit ‘more.’ It was slightly more dynamic then what a normal person’s vocal chords could produce and it would appear as if instruments were present but just barely out of earshot, even for Logan’s enhanced hearing. (( Song)) When Logan entered he would find a man sitting at the kitchen table thumbing through a comic book backwards since it was a translated manga. The man was in his 20’s but the man would have remembered him from when the person was a teen. He had vibrant purple hair that stuck out everywhere more so then normal from bed head. He had black pajama pants and no shirt on. His torso was neither tanned nor pail and slightly toned. He wasn’t muscular in the way Logan was but he was limber and strong in his own way. Around the man a midnight breakfast was being made. Eggs were floating from the opening fridge, cheese was being grated into a small bowl, tomatoes were being chopped, spinach was being taken from a larger container, and butter was being put into a pan that was on the stove while a whisk was making pancake batter in a large bowl. This was all done by the man sitting in the chair. He was not a telepath but it was the song itself that was being sung that did it. Rhyme wanted it to happen so it happened. He could have easily done it by hand but he was rusty and this was a good training exercise since his focus was split over sex ways. To someone of keen insight a vein was popped on Rhyme’s forehead from having to concentrate and the relaxed look as he thumbed through the manga was mostly faked.

Logan made his way through the sleeping mansion easily. He knew this place better than most, having checked out every inch of the place many, many times. It was quiet for the most part. He could hear a few of the night owls moving around above him but that was normal here. Adjusting the duffle bag as he turned the corner to the kitchen, the smell of simmering butter caught his attention along with fresh tomatoes and cheese. Whoever was in there was making Logan even hungier. He reached the door and paused for a moment. He could hear a whisk going along with a knife chopping something. Well no time to be hesitant (like he ever was). Logan walked into the kitchen and ducked.
He managed to manuver his way through the flying chaos to the dinning table where a student sat. Setting the duffle bag down, he took a quick glance up and down the kid. Man he had grown. "Hungry much Rhy?" he chuckled as he looked around the kitchen. He hadn't seen much of the kid lately, hell he hadn't seen much of anyone lately. He knew the kid had a special power of singing some song and doing stuff but what bothered logan was the fact that he would have to strain his ears just to catch the tone the kid used, never picked up the words unless Rhyme wanted him to.
"Hey why don"t ya fix me up one of those bub?"
Walking over to the fridge, he opened the door and reached to the back of it to the six cylinders of frosty goodness that were clearly marked as his and grabbed himself one of the beers. Nothing like a cold beer after a long ride. Shutting the door, he turned and moved over to the kitchen table and took a seat across from Rhyme, making himself as comfortable as he could.

*Bunny walks into the thread, carrying a paper banner and grinning* I was told that I'm supposed to wish happy birthday to the board. Unfortunatly the Admin seems to have forgotten what I told her I was going to do. Bunny stares at banner for a moment* Anyways, Here we go!!! *Bunny holds up banner and grins* Isn't it PRETTY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! *Bunny folds up banner and smiles mischievously* Well, time to go. I have plenty more threads to interrupt! More Chaos to cause! *Bunny walks out giggling* and now, some facts about the Happy Birthday song. The combination of melody and lyrics in "Happy Birthday to You" first appeared in print in 1912, and probably existed even earlier.[1], pp. 31–32 None of these early appearances included credits or copyright notices. The Summy Company registered for copyright in 1935, crediting authors Preston Ware Orem and Mrs. R.R. Forman.[citation needed] In 1990, Warner Chappell purchased the company owning the copyright for $15 million, with the value of "Happy Birthday" estimated at $5 million.[5] Based on the 1935 copyright registration, Warner claims that the United States copyright will not expire until 2030, and that unauthorized public performances of the song are technically illegal unless royalties are paid to it. In one specific instance on February 2010, these royalties were said to amount to $700.[6] In the European Union, the copyright of the song will expire on December 31, 2016.[7] The actual American copyright status of "Happy Birthday to You" began to draw more attention with the passage of the Copyright Term Extension Act in 1998. When the U.S. Supreme Court upheld the Act in Eldred v. Ashcroft in 2003, Associate Justice Stephen Breyer specifically mentioned "Happy Birthday to You" in his dissenting opinion.[8] An American law professor who heavily researched the song has expressed strong doubts that it is still under copyright.[1]

When Logan walked into the room Rhyme’s eyes turned quickly taken off guard. When they did he stopped humming and every dropped a foot for a quick second before jerking back up as the corner of his eyes twitched violently from the strain.
As Logan went to the fridge Rhyme took the time to close his eyes and take a deep breath in and out as everything returned to normal. He stopped humming but listened into to all the sounds around him, the shuffling of feet above him, a student’s TV on in a bedroom, the animals outside, all created a complex and beautiful song around him. After his mind was brought back into order about ten seconds later he opened his eyes and smiled at Logan across from the table.
“Good to see you too Logan and why don’t I fix you two? Never knew you to be one to eat light.”
Ten more eggs flew from the fridge and cracked themselves into a pan with the other eggs. They were quickly stirred with a spatula into a slurry. Some bacon and sausage also came out of the fridge since Rhyme remembered Logan liking meats. Soon the smell of bacon filled the room as it sizzled in another pan with the sausage.
“How have you been Logan, haven’t seen you in a while but haven’t been here much myself.”

"Good idea Rhy. I could use some good grub."
Logan chuckled as he cracked his beer. He spotted the bacon and the sausage being added to the eggs. So he did remember. That was a good thing. Logan was a man and he loved his meat. Protein and fat, how could you go wrong? Oh and high salt and grease? Oh yes this would be a good breakfast. Taking a sip of his beer, he stretched out his legs and gave Rhyme a once over. He seemed to be good. Of course he never really had much trouble from him either.
"Well ya know how it is Rhy. So many places to go, people to meet, things ta do.'
He chuckled and inhaled that smell of sweet bacon. "Went down ta visist an old friend. Even a few things out. Ho 'bout ya?" He knew that everyone needed a break including students. Most didn't know anything about the outside world because charlie had brought them here as children. It was only natural that they would want to explore it for themselves. He knew exactly how the world was and it wasn't a surprise that Rhyme would be out there more. Especially with his gifts.
"Been out an' 'bout?"

“Yeah, after I graduated moved to New York City for a bit, then traveled the world. I saw Europe and Asian and ended up picking up a boyfriend in Japan. We ended up settling down back in New York. Not sure what I have been doing the last year, the attack on Tokyo nearly took my dearest and without Charles right there to step in my other half took over. Thankfully Haru finally found me and smacked some sense back into me, literally.”
Rhyme talked in a matter of fact tone. He had to explain what happened the last year to most of his old teachers so by now it got pretty easy. Losing half of your heart hurts and was the perfect chance for his alter ego to take firm hold.
Suddenly three plates floated over to the table as Rhyme sat down the comic. Two went to Logan while the veggie omelet went to Rhyme. Then the dishes floated over to the power dishwasher to be cleaned by morning. He then pulled out a pair of chopsticks and began to eat his omelet.
Now that all the strain was gone from doing the multiple tasks, Rhyme’s eyes fell to the Canadian beer Logan had. He felt that would taste really good right now but he knew better then to steal one of Logan’s so he did one better. He stared at the beer as hundreds of thin lines of musical script went over his eyes at a fast pace sort of what the Matrix looked like in the movie.
Part of being in control of reality is knowing what is in reality. He made a simple copy of the beer Logan was drinking. And the best part is, he could enjoy the taste and get drunk off his ass but once he released his hold on it and it disappeared again, so would the alcohol from his system.
He took the beer and took a small sip as he ate.

Well Japan is a great place to pick up a mate. The attack was uncalled for. It still don't sit right." He let out a small chuckle. It didn't matter to Logan who the boy loved as long as they treated him right. "Good thing ya got that Haru fella ta snap you outta it. Sounds like a rough year." Not too rough but a pretty rounded one. Logan watched the plates float over to the table, his mouth already salivating. As he spotted the chopsticks, a grin crossed his lips and he turned to his bag, digging out his chopsticks before turning around. Logan had spent many years in Japan. Loved the culture, the language, the food, and especially the atmosphere. It was rather peaceful there, except the last time but he wasn't gonna talk about that.
"Domo arrigato wazimas Rhy." He took another bite, savoring it slowly. It was cooked perfectly. The meat and chees were a compliment to the eggs and veggies. God it tasted so good! He watched as Rhy created a beer for himself. It always amazed him watching Rhy work. "If you wanted one, ya shoulda asked." He took another bite and washed it down with a sip of his beer. "So is Haru your boyfriend? Tell me about him." Logan settled back into his chair so he could eat and listen at the same time.
