• Power/s | Reverie is a telepath. She can read people’s minds. But it is a bit more difficult than that. She hears everything, whether she wants to or not. Imagine a telepath hooked up to Cerebro and being unable to control it, so they hear everything? That’s her power, on a slightly smaller scale.. The only way she can ‘tune out’ others thoughts, is if she is listening to music, reading, or focusing on one individuals thoughts. She can communicate telepathically, but unlike most telepaths, her thoughts aren’t capable of going unnoticed, so she can’t convince others her thoughts are theirs (sad right? She makes up for it). Strangely though, mental blocks or barriers rarely work if she is trying to get in your head. She is a master eavesdropper, nothing more. She can’t control minds, or influence them in anyway. So, obviously, why should barriers meant to keep malicious telepaths out work on her? Sadly…. This has a serious side affect. Like I said, she hears everything. She can’t choose who to listen to and who not to, so she hears a LOT of things no teenager should have to hear… Her range is around a football field (so she can read anyone’s thoughts that are within 300 feet)
Lately, the girl has also been developing the ability to... well see things! Not the future, of course! Rather, she can see other places, at that same moment. So if she ever learned to control this power, she can 'watch' other places at the present time. Basically, just making her a more extreme eavesdropper then she already is!
• Flaw/s | Obviously, overloads happen quite often if she is near to many people. She’ll likely pass out or have a mental break if she hears to many thoughts at once.
The visions also come with a terrible toll on Reverie's body. They are physically draining, to the point that if she has one that lasts more then a few minutes, she'll faint. Longer, she can fall into a coma. It's not that hard to guess, that if she has an unusually long vision (longer then the ones that can cause a coma) she risks actual death.
• weapons | … The girl would probably faint if she even thought about using one!
• Overall Abilities/ Skills |
- Photographic memory (impressive, huh?)
- Photography (she takes pictures a lot. It’s the only way she can ‘try’ to see movement.)
- Writing (hey, she has to do something to keep her own thoughts straight!)
- Swimming (She loves water, it’s soothing to her, and the voices aren’t quite as loud under water.)
- Eavesdropping (Not a skill she brags about, but her power makes her a pretty amazing eavesdropper!)
- Speaks Scottish Gaelic fluently.

• Overall Appearance |
Reverie is a small, petite girl, barely touching five feet. She has a very delicate look to her, that is likely to make most people believe they might break her if they aren’t careful. Her golden blonde locks are uncontrollably wavy, and are offset by her intense blue eyes. She is fair skinned, which only makes those deep blue eyes pop even more.
Reverie is obviously the type of girl that doesn’t put much effort into her appearance. Her daily routine is limited to brushing her hair, and throwing on the first outfit she sees, so it’s rare to find her dressed up in anyway.

‘ Dogs. She’s absolutely terrified of them. She can’t see them, and then BAM! Barking until she dies of shock.
‘Thunder. Hates, hates HATES thunder! She’ll cower under the bed during a storm.

• Overall Personality |
First and foremost, before anything else is mentioned, you must know. This girl is motion blind. She can’t see any movement. Water, films, people, any movement. Basically, her I.D. and passport have her listed as legally blind. She can’t drive because she can’t see other cars, she has issues flying by herself, and just being in crowded places in general is beyond her. If her power worked properly, it would probably compensate a little for this disability, but it only makes it worse… She’s extremely jumpy because of this, all because she can’t pinpoint where people are exactly, so, quite literally, until you stop moving you are invisible to her. You can be approaching her, directly in front of her, and she won’t see you coming at all. Second you stop? Yeah, don’t be surprised if you make her faint from shock.
Second, She’s Scottish, like born and raised in Scotland Scottish. Her family did move to the states when she was 14 though, so her accent is still VERY strong. Very, very, strong. To the point where some of her words are near impossible to understand if you aren’t familiar with the accent. Before, Rev wasn’t a talkative person, but since moving, she’s become very self conscious about this, and says as little as possible to avoid any teasing.
Finally, we get down to her actual personality. Basically? Reverie is a total, and complete push over. She’s unwilling to stand up for herself, no matter what she’s being tormented with. Bullies, obviously, find her the ideal target because they don’t have to worry about her telling anyone, or her fighting back. Pretty sad, right? Her self esteem is low, and her people skills poor. She’s socially awkward around, well, everyone! And, she’s very wary of strangers. Even her own friends have to deal with her sometimes withdrawing for no ‘reason’ that they can see. Why does she do this? She’s a telepath, remember? You’re thoughts aren’t private with her. And she’s heard a lot of awful things. Which is why she doesn’t feel any attachment to most friends, because a single wrong thought? And she’s gone.
The poor girl is under the illusion that everyone is a two faced liar. She’s so used to someone saying one thing and thinking another, it’s become her typical response. So, obviously, she’s come to believe everyone she meets, no matter how nice they appear on the outside are disgusting, vile creatures on the inside. Seriously, she has trust issues. Even her own family has been pushed away, because, as sincere as they are, she’s heard all the mean, nasty things they think. Of course they don’t mean any harm, everyone thinks a lot of things they don’t mean when they are angry. But poor, poor Reverie… When you have a hard time distinguishing thought from word, you tend to lose reality of what she’s supposed to hear and what she isn’t. And even then, how would you feel if you heard your sisters, parents, or even best friends think very vile, jaw dropping things about you?
IF you turn out to be a good person though (And she has a seriously high standard for someone to be a good guy)? At least, a good person by her definition (which is near impossible, mind you.), you’ll honestly never meet a sweeter girl. Of course, Revie is still shy, deathly shy. Like faint if you say anything to embarrassing shy! But she can be a total sweet heart. She’s very calm, happy (When she isn’t listening to crap, which is almost never), and just…. Peaceful! Seriously, spend time with her, and you’ll learn she’s a very laid back, easy going person. She speaks slower than most, like she’s in no rush, and never says anything in rage.
Actually, is rage an emotion she has? Yes. Is it one that shows? Never. To put it simply, Revie only knows how to handle conflict in one way. And that’s burst into tears and run. Angry? She cries and runs. Sad? Cries and runs. Embarrassed? Cries and runs. See a pattern here? Basically, anything outside her peaceful and shy temperament, can send her into tears and flight. This is probably because of her deathly shy personality. When I said she’s almost like a fainting goat shy, I wasn’t kidding. If you startle her bad enough, she will faint. If she doesn’t, and you still startle her? She’ll burst into tears and try to hide from the world. It’s how she’s handle conflict her whole life, and honestly? That probably won’t be changing for a very long time. Thankfully, she always manages to run away before tears actually come, so people rarely see the girl cry.
Okay, I lied a little. She CAN show distress. But, only when she is surrounded by to many people, when she is having a mental overload. Reverie will, literally, start to freak out and panic, and, basically? Act like she's losing her mind. It's like trying to calm a child that refuses to listen to anything you have to say. She'll keep panicking until you get her out of that situation, or she passes out. Whichever happens first.
Now, you must be asking yourself, where did her shyness come from? Without a doubt, her power. She hears everything you have to say, so, a lot of times when she would talk to someone, she’d hear the whole “Why’s this freak talking to me?” or “She sounds like she’s mentally retarded.” (From her accent.). After a while, obviously this can take a serious toll on your emotional state. You learn not to bother trying to meet people. And finally, it turns to such a social awkwardness where you can’t talk to someone. Like I’ve said several times already. Poor girl.

• Other Relations | Mostly just cousins.
• Overall history |
Reverie has always been a quiet girl, from the time she was a baby. And, of course, she’s always been different. It was obviously from a very young age that she was impaired when it came to sight, but it wasn’t until she started school that they fully understood just how impaired she was. Obviously, being motion blinded caused quite a few problems for the girl growing up, which is probably why she turned out to be such a wimp! Thankfully, she always had her sisters to watch her back, the oldest, Hope, and her twin Dakota (who was only four minutes older, to be exact.). Other than her sight issues, the girl was relatively normal though, except for the fact that she mostly kept to herself.
It wasn’t under her family moved from Edinburgh to New York City that things got a little crazy. She started…. Hearing things. Voices in her head. For a long time she seemed to think it wasn’t in head, that she was really hearing people speak, which lead to many awkward moments! In the end, these voices got so bad she felt like she was losing her mind. Thankfully, it was around that time she and her sister were found by the folks at Xavier’s school. Apparently, Revie hadn’t been the only one showing signs of being a mutant in the house! The twins were shipped off to Xavier’s, and have been there ever since.
