Alice was more then a little surprised that he managed to avoid the attack, obviously people rarely managed just a feat. Still, after the initial surprise, it turned into excitement. He was more then willing to play, he was changing the rules on her. Just the idea alone made her anxious.
His attack was also a surprise, but she didn't let that surprise affect her in anyway. With out fail, shadows leaped up to protect the girl, to hold him back just long enough for her to retreat a little. After only a moment though, the 'shield' unraveled, rippling towards him like tentacles, going for his limbs. They didn't intend to hurt him though, just catch him. Catch him, and yank him into the air. After that... Well she'd have her usual fun with people, coming up with interesting and gruesome ways to murder the person.
All the while, Alice had taken on a few steps back, her own form starting to darkening, the girl slowly changing into a 'shadow form'. He'd still be able to harm her if he managed to catch her, the form only real use being camouflage... Not to mention it was a little fitting that a girl who controlled shadows and darkness could partially become one with it.

This was funny... Only Victor Creed could go out for a simple walk and end up in a fight. Just wasn't usually with some teenage girl. But he had to admit...she was impressive. Her reaction time was quick and seemed instinctual. Only high class mutants managed that kind of control. Interesting...
Victor had lunged for her only to feel his claws hit that strange shadow energy. It was then that it wrapped around his arms and pulled him upward into the air. He let out an irritated growl. He didn't like being pushed around. Brute strength was used then to bring one set of claws to the other side to cut those bindings.
He flipped so that he would land on his feet with a thud though his body moved down into a crouch with the momentum of the landing. Dark eyes looked up to the girl, not because he could see her...even with his night vision it was getting hard to discern black from black. No, he could smell her. Feet pushed against the wood of the pier suddenly, driving the large man into a leap towards the girl in an attempt to tackle her to the ground. He was going to get the advantage, one way or another.

It wasn’t often people were actually strong enough to break free of the shadow bindings. It actually wasn’t even something she’d come across before now. She was both interested, and annoyed at the same moment. After all, she’d expected to just be able to rip him apart once her shadows had a grip on him. ”You’re not supposed to escape.”
She was a little surprised he found her so easily, again, something that she’d never encountered before now. This response was slower than her previous, only because she’d at least expected some difficulty in finding her. It was almost like being hit by a freight train when he tackled her to the ground.
The girl didn’t move, didn’t even seem to register that she should be in pain. Instead, she just stared up at him with that same, black stare of hers. After half a moment though, her initial surprise that she was now flat on her back faded. The shadows around them swarmed over of the girl like water, creeping up his own limbs. If the shadows made contact, they would proceed to basically smash him, intending on leaving him as flat as a pancake.

"I wasn't supposed to escape a lot of places Darlin'" He chuckled darkly while loomed over the small girl. It seemed he had the upper hand. At least for this moment, he enjoyed the shock in her from his ability to find her so soon. He loved catching his prey off guard.
Victor wasn't sure what she was up to with those shadows that started to wrap around his arms but he was going to make sure she didn't have the chance to do it. "Not so fast." He growled and wrapped his hand around her throat and squeezed. It was a nice threat to strangle her right there as he squeezed just tight enough to make it very difficult to breathe, in fact if she panicked it would only make her breathing situation worse.
"Now why don't you tell me a little about yourself?" Victor smirked down at that girl, obviously enjoying their little tussle. It wasn't often that he was able to meet such power in a mutant. "You seem to be very dark...yet.." He leaned downward a little just enough so he could sniff at her. "you smell like the pacifists.. Seems a little contradictory doesn't it?"

Alice didn't squirm, or even move, as he wrapped his hand around her throat, just continued to stare up at him with that dark but unreadable gaze. After a few moments of difficulty breathing though, her shadow form seemed to drop, leaving her normal once more. The girl was a killer, that much was obvious, but she was untrained. She'd never had anyone put up a fight before (or at least a worthy fight), and really had no idea how to react in this situation.
Still, she stared at him with those cold blue-green eyes of hers as he spoke, slowly blinking. ".... Pacifists..." Her voice was quiet and forced due to his hand on her throat. At least he was allowing her to speech to some extend.
The girl seemed to pause, as if pondering what he'd said. ".... I smell... Like them?" Oh no, she wasn't at all interested in how he could smell them, but rather that she smelled like them. "They don't like me though. I don't think they'd like me smelling like them." She fell silent for several moments, the thoughts taking a 360.
"I want your name." It was a little demanding, especially for a girl who happened to be pinned at the moment.

He smirked as those shadows fell back and disappeared for now. It was always nice to know when you've sufficiently gained the upper hand. And it seemed that Victor was in that position for the time being.
Victor blinked a little to Alice's comment about her smell. Now that was entertaining. "If you live with them, you can't help it." He chuckled with that amusement for a moment before she ordered his name out of him. His brow arched to the demand. "I don't think you're in the position to make such demands. Why don't we start with your name and move from there shall we?"
Victor had kept his grip upon her throat, not letting it loosen in the slightest. Luckily for him she had smashed those lights. He could only imagine how this must look to any passerby. A full grown man with his hand over the throat of a teenage girl. Yea...he really didn't need to be on the news tonight...at least not yet. Not that a jail could hold him for very long, but there was to be a purpose in these things when the time came.

It wasn't that Alice had given up, she was more at a pause, trying to figure out what she was supposed to do next. When she came up with something, she'd fight. So until then, she was perfectly content with her current situation... Which was actually a little freaky.
"I guess so. They still wouldn't like it. How do I get rid of their smell?" She sounded completely serious, too! Of course, she was just as serious about getting his name, so his half refusal wasn't what she wanted to hear. "I asked you first." None the less, after several moments of silence, she spoke up once again. "It's Alice."
Yet another short, silent pause as she stared up at him with that strange gaze of hers. "Now I want your name." And she wasn't taking no for an answer this time. A shadow stretched off the pier boards, shaped almost like a spear, with the sharpest point positioned at the back of his head. "You're making it hard to breath. Let go." She stared up at him still, still in that demanding fashion as before. It was a little odd, how she was so calm about this whole mess, and how she almost didn't seem to register that he was a potential threat... Or another living thing for that matter!

"Well the easiest way is to not live with them anymore." He still thought it was funny that she was concerned with how her scent smelled. Victor glanced behind him as he had that odd feeling that something might just hurt him, or at least sting quite a bit. It was then that he saw that poised shadow. That made him smirk while he let his hand move away from her neck. He wasn't afraid of the arrow in the least, but he let her have the small victory.
"You can call me Sabretooth." Maybe he'd give her his real name sometime in the future but for now she didn't need that kind of information.
Victor moved from her then, raising up to his feet and even offering a hand to help her up. That was of course if she wanted to be 'friends' now. His muscles were tense still, ready and waiting for her to decide that their little fight would continue. Not that he cared either way but her powers could be useful if he could convince her to renounce Xavier. It did seem like that wouldn't be too hard of a task either.

Alice blinked, as if never actually considering the idea of not being at the school before. She actually hadn’t. The girl had been there for so many years, the idea of leaving hadn’t crossed her mind a single time. But, considering how she rarely associated with others, the girl had been pretty content the way things were, and thus, never felt the need to change in any way. Lately though… People had been forcing their way into her life…. It made her jumpy…
The ‘shadow weapon’ remained poised at him, waiting to see if he tried any funny business. She didn’t realize he’d come back if she did strike, and sadly… If she had known that she actually would have attacked him, just for the hell of it. Victor wasn’t the only crazy one around after all…
Finally though, he got off her, even offered to help her up. She stared at his offered hand for several moments, the wheels in her head turning, obviously contemplating if she should try to continue playing her little game with him or not. After several moments though, she reached up, taking the offer and pulling herself up. When she was on her feet and released his hand, she somehow managed to scrape her wrist on those ridiculously long claws of his…. There was no realization of pain on her expression. Instead, she stared at her injury, as if wondering exactly what it was. ”We’re using code names? You should have told me before. Mine is way cooler then ‘Sabretooth’.” She spoke as she examined the cut, still trying to figure out where the foreign thing had come from… And waiting to see if he’d ask what her code name was.

Victor's brow arched a bit as she continued to stare at his hand. This girl really didn't get out much did she? His smirk returned as she pulled herself up to her feet, but he couldn't help but to laugh at her remark. "You shouldn't trust your name to strangers Darlin'. Haven't you ever heard the superstition that your name gives you your power? You never know what someone's agenda could be." Not that Victor believed in such things but he mentioned it nonetheless.
It was sound advice and he really didn't care if she didn't like his code name. Of course he ended up 'biting' the bait out of curiousity, "And what is that?" He assumed it probably had something to do with her shadow powers and that wasn't impressive at all.
He was a little surprised that she managed to cut herself on his claws. It wasn't necessarily unheard of...but usually people noticed them before they got cut. That was of course if he wasn't cutting them on purpose. If she was really that careless, that was her own fault. It would be a clean cut at least and those usually sealed on their own, as long as they aren't tampered with or too deep.

Your name was your power? Alice looked both surprised and confused…. And actually seemed to think he was serious. That it wasn’t a ‘superstition’. ”I don’t get it. I thought names were just for identification. How can they give me ‘power’?” He was right, she didn’t get out much… That or she didn’t retain information that she thought pointless…. Like most everything. ”And if it gives me power, what does it give other people?”
It wasn’t that she didn’t like his code name. She just liked her own more. ”Daughter of Darkness.” Quite literally. Since her own parents had died in an…. ‘accident’, when her powers first manifested, the girl had, literally, been raised by the Darkness. It was both her mother and father, her family. So, it was only fitting that a girl who believed an element was her parent, be officially dubbed it’s child.
Alice finally looked away from her cut, looking at him for several moments, before, quite rudely, she reached out and grabbed his hand, raising it up so she could examine his claws better. It was odd, but once you learned to never expect the unexpected from her… Well, this was every day behavior when her attention was drawn to something. ”You’re like me…. Aren’t you?” She referred to the blood lust and ‘somewhat’ insanity. Had she really found someone with the same desires? The longer she stared at those claws, the more she was sure they were often used to make mince meat out of people….

This kid was strange to say the least. Who really does that? She just grabbed his hand and started to look at his metal laced claws. Perhaps it was the surprise of the action alone that didn't have him yanking his hand back right away.
"It's an old supersition. Basically saying that if someone knows your 'true' name all they have to do is speak it and they will have complete control of you." Of course this superstition originated ages ago. No one really believed it anymore which he supposed was a good thing. Everyone was so paranoid and crazy back then.
And Creed had to hold in laughter. He had to try very hard not to laugh at that code name. It just seemed so self serving. "Bit of a mouthful isn't it? That sounds more like a title than a codename. No one is going to call that out during a fight to get your attention. Too many words. Perhaps you should think of one that fits better?" He was being serious even as he still attempted to not laugh. She still had that shadow weapon pointed at his head, and even though he wasn't worried about it....it would still hurt.

"Oh. What's the difference between the name you use and your true name?" She really didn't understand what exactly a 'true name' was. Was if different then your given name? And if so.... How did you learn what your true name was? One thing she did know... People and their superstitions were beyond her understanding.
Alice glanced up from his claws when he said the name was more like a title. She stared at him for several moments, before finally speaking. "That's what they call me though." She paused for several moments. "Why would people want my attention in a fight?" Another pause as she thought over his last comment. A new name? What would it be though? She hadn't even come up with Daughter of Darkness. "I don't know what a better code name would be though..."
The girl had seemingly forgotten about the shadow weapon still on guard duty. Thankfully, it wouldn't act without her giving the order, so, as long as he didn't remind her it was there, and do something stupid at the same time, he was relatively safe.

Victor decided to let the whole name thing drop. It was more of a joke anyway and this girl was taking it too...awkwardly.
"You can make it simple and just call yourself Darkness if you really wanted. Or even just Dark. Dusk...Lurid..." Well Lurid wasn't really a definition of dark as much as what darkness was capable of. He liked that one. But wait a second... why was he talking to this girl about this again? It was too easy for him to get side tracked sometimes.
"But that's something for you to figure out on your own Kid." He wasn't here to help with any sort of identity crisis. Hell he wouldn't have been here at all had he not noticed the girl staring at him like she did. That look definitely had a predatory light to it and that was what he wanted to investigate originally.
He wondered why she still held onto his hand to examine his claws so closely, which reminded him of what she had said earlier. Like her? That could be taken more than one way. "You think I'm like you Darlin'? And how exactly is that? Bad temper? A little 'off putting'? Crazy? A killer? A savage? Predatory? Yer gonna have to narrow it down girl."

Alice tilted her head slightly. "Don't most code names come from other people though? They chose it for you?" She didn't know what she would chose for herself, if given the option. Rather, she'd want to wait and see what other people came up with. Maybe he'd be the one to finally pick one. Maybe he'd even said it already..
Alice had finally released his hand, done with her inspection. He'd seemed to finally realize what she'd said before. Her head tilted, a look of curiosity on her face, as if trying to figure out how he didn't know that answer already. "Not think. Know."
She was silent for several moments, giving him a look that might remind someone of the raptors from Jurassic Park, a strange, feral curiosity. A wanting to understand this strange being in front of her, but at the same time tear him to pieces. "You have the same look in your eyes." She paused for only a few moments. "You're a predator, everything about you. The way you carry yourself, the way you talk... People avoid you, because their instincts tell them you'll kill them without even batting an eye."
