It was a little sad, how Emmy listened to everything Shaun said. How she put up with everything he did. And even though he punished her for those few moments she did act as her own person, she always returned to him. She didn’t even consider the option of not listening. Of just telling him no. She was more loyal to him than most thought physically possible.
Emily tried to brace herself for the pain that was coming, but it still made some of the color drain from her face when he held onto her bad shoulder with enough force to bruise even a healthy shoulder. She flinched, holding back a whimper of pain. Not once did she fight though. That was bad. She’d end up in even more trouble if she did.
Still, that didn’t mean she was still. She trembled, the pain in her shoulder and arm making her see spots. As he tightened his grip though, she bit back a cry of pain, but being as close as he was, Shaun might hear the faintest whimper. ”T-t-take the deal…..” She whispered, so only Shaun would hear. Why she chose that option…. She was praying he’d be satisfied with the answer and stop hurting her.

Shaun's face broke into a wide and sinister grin.
You're sure about this now? You want this boy around and working for us, helpin you get better and all of that?"
It was honestly up to Em at this point. Shaun could give a rat's ass about whether or not this kid lived or died, he was no real threat, and he was no real savior either. He was simply a pawn. If he got in the way, well that was easy enough for Shaun to fix one way or another. The kid was truly in the palm of his hand, even if he believed otherwise.
He could go ahead and play make believe if he wanted, pretending he was there to be little Emmy's knight in shining armor...that was just fine, in fact it gave Shaun that much more control over him to manipulate him as he pleased. Kid was a puppet on strings and when Shaun got bored or bothered it would be easy enough to cut him loose.
He may even manage to make strong ties with the Nightshade family as a result, it never hurt to have a favor or two stored away from a family as strong and prominent as them. Nothing ventured nothing gained, that's what dad always said, and as foolish as he was, he was right.

Alucard just watched as the man grinned. He didn't trust what thought came with that grin. He wasn't sure what the thought was, but knowing this guy it wasn't going to be pleasant for anyone but him. It would seem though that they were willing to go with the idea of seeing if his blood could be used to help the girl, for now at least. He needed to figure out a new idea though for what to do from this point.
" So I guess that means we have a deal. Shall we discuss the details in a more private spot later?" Alucard said to the man. " After all, someone might be eavesdropping in on us right now and I don't think either of us want that part to be over heard. Although it is up to you if we do or not."
Alucard just sat back down in his chair to wait for a response from the man. It was up to him when and where they were going to discuss the finer details, but he figured he would rather do it in private. Alucard didn't figure he would find them here when he first came, let alone he would go for the deal the first time around. It had been a productive evening, but he still had much more to do later on.

It wasn’t that she wanted this…. This intruder in her life. Not at all. But…. It was either this, or Shaun tried to kill him. Not to mention… Maybe the chance to experiment with someone’s else’s blood might put him in a good mood for often. After all, if there was a chance a serum could be made to help her immune system, it meant less care for him. Emily didn’t see why he wouldn’t want that (As she didn’t even consider leaving her brother, so she didn’t understand why he’d want to keep her totally dependent on him.).
Either way, she just nodded vigorously, squirming just a little to try and get at least a little pressure off of her shoulder. Like always, Shaun seemed to have forgotten he was hurting her by this point. And even shifting just a little to ease his grip almost made her sigh in relief. Oh, it hurt. Nearly brought her to tears, but it wasn’t as bad as it had been before.
It was at that point she noticed another person…. A second teenage boy, trying to ‘sneak’ into the conversation. And he obviously knew the intruder. Acting on pure instinct, she shifted back into her brother’s much firmer embrace. After all that work to loosen his grip just a touch…. Wasted. Oh, it hurt, like hell. But she felt safer, even if she was in pain, in his arms, then at a point where she could be snatched away with little warning.

Shaun continued to smile his eyes only growing brighter with malicious delight. In fact at this point he had to focus simply to stifle a laugh that was working his way up his throat.
This was turning out to be the best night ever, and it was only getting better for him as the night went on. He had guessed that his sister in a pinch would choose the more peaceful route, she didn't have the cunning and decisive instinct that he had after all, but ultimately it didn't matter what she chose either way some poor soul was going to be damned, and Shaun got to watch.
If she had opted to kill him, Shaun would have done so gladly, but not before reveling in the fact that this boy's love wanted him to die a painful death at the hands of a monster like him. That she hated him, despised him, and she wanted him dead. Crushing that boy's spirit would have been fun to watch regardless of what happened afterwards.
But instead Shaun's poor and naive sister, had chosen to let the rat live. He would work with them, and bleed for them, until Shaun deemed otherwise.
If Emmy wanted this boy, so much she could have him.
"Alright then, you want the boy around so much why don't you go spend some time with him."
Shaun pushed her fairly hard and out of his grasp. As a result she went tumbling into the boy who had just passed by, the one EM was so afraid of...
By the time Em recovered herself Shaun would be gone, well half of him anyway. If lover boy really wanted to work with them he could do this boring job of babysitting, Shaun could find better things to do.
Alucard would no doubt be pleased by this development as his crush was nearly given to him, but Em on the other hand would be a different story, a much more interesting one.

Ow This is third worst day of my life... Luke had been pushed down, head on the concrete. Luke thought for a moment. did I say something wrong? Before realizing there was a cute girl on top of him. O.o luckily Luke already had a girlfriend, and wasn't as nervous as he usually was around girls. Luke awkwardly waited a few moments before helping the girl up off of him. Pulling her up by the hand. Luke placed his hand on the back of his head, he was slightly bruised but fine otherwise. Luke then realized what had happened, she was pushed into him by Shaun out of anger... By the time he got up Shaun had disappeared into the crowd Luke backed away from the girl. Having very little grasp of the current situation. He looked at Alucard checking how mad he was. I hope Alucard's Girlfriend is alright. are you alright? Are you hurt anywhere? Luke started too check all over her for injuries. Hoping the girl wasn't hurt. Luke didn't know what too say, he didn't know what was going on. Hoping Alucard had an idea of what was going on.

Alucard listened as Emmy told Shaun they should take the deal. Shaun didn't argue with her and just said something about her and him spending time together before suddenly pushing her. She fell into Luke, but Alucard didn't notice who it was she fell on since his focus was completely on Emmy. He helped her get up and sat back down into her chair shortly after Luke started to help her up. Luke had asked her how she was and was looking all over her, he guessed to check for injuries. Alucard just gave Luke a 'step back' look, but he didn't seem to notice it.
" Luke was it? You need to back away from her and give her space. She is deathly afraid of strangers, and your talking to her and getting far too close." Alucard said to Luke in a very protective voice. " She is fine, so don't worry. She just needs to sit down and have some time to calm herself."
Alucard reached into his satchel and pulled out a bottle of the light reddish liquid and opened up the top of it. He placed it in her hands with the cap, and then reached down for the book he had handed to her and set it in her lap. He looked at her for a moment after he had placed the book in her lap.
" Little Bird, try to drink some of that if you can, it will make you feel better. I put the book in your lap, so try reading some more of it." Alucard said to her in as soothing of a way as he could manage. " I am going to get you something from the food stand, so would you please wait here for me or your brother to come back? I promise I will come back as soon as I can."
Alucard wasn't sure what she would do, but he hoped she would do as he asked her to do. She needed some actual food in her after what happened, and he was planning on pushing every one of the people at the stand out of his way to make sure he got it back to her quickly. He looked over at Luke, who seemed to have decided to do as he told him to.
" Luke, why don't you help me bring the stuff back from the food stand?" Alucard asked him.
Alucard barely waited for Luke to answer before he started to walk quickly to the food stand. He was annoyed and concerned for Emmy in equal parts and no one decided to stop him as he pushed his way to the front of the line at the food stand.

Stunned was putting it nicely. The fact that Shaun just…. Left her with the other teenagers actually seemed to shock her to the point of wanting to faint. What was worse, his rough shove actually threw her into the same boy she was currently terrified of.
If that weren’t bad enough, both teenagers were trying to help her up at the exact same time. Shock wasn’t even a strong enough word anymore. Apparently though, one of them, she was at the point where she honestly couldn’t tell which was which, managed to grab her bad arm in an attempt to help her up. Emily sharply yelped, instantly withdrawing from both of them, That didn’t seem to stop one of them though, who still proceeded to force her to her feet and back into a chair.
Trembling, she refused to look at either of them, traumatized by the ordeal of being ‘abandoned’ by her brother. ”……. I’m not a bird….” She was getting awfully defensive now that she wasn’t under her brother’s watchful eye. It always happened, varying in degrees. If she could escape, she would. If she was left…. She was expected to stay there, so she panicked.
Emily ignored everything else that was said or done, her mind reeling as she tried to come to terms with her brother leaving here there…. Alone…

Alucard got up to the front of the food stand, despite the fact that there was a line in front of it. Most of the people just let him do what he wanted after looking at him, but one of the people towards the front decided to confront him about it. The man was tall and heavily muscled and looked like he could snap Alucard like a twig. He reached for Alucard and grabbed his shoulder saying, " Hey kid you can't just cut in line because your impatient and expect to get away with it. Now why don't you head to the back of the line before you get yourself hurt?"
Alucard quickly manipulated some of his blood around his body like threads and quickly grabbed the man's arm. He bend pulled the man forward and straight into him thrusting one of his elbows right into his stomach and then flipped him after onto the ground next to him with a loud thud. He man had his breathed knocked out of him and ended up passing out not long after he hit the floor. Alucard glanced around at everyone else in the area.
" Anyone else have a problem with me coming to the front of the line?" Alucard asked with a look that just begged someone to try.
Alucard went up and ordered the food he needed after everyone backed away from him. He got what he needed quickly and ended up carrying it all back himself somehow without spilling any of it. He made it back to Emmy far quicker then anyone would have expected. He set the food down in his seat and looked at her.
" Which of this do you want Little Bird?" Alucard asked her is as soothing and kind voice as he could manage. " There is a burger, a corn dog, a hot dog, nachos, and even a frito pie. You can have which ever one or all of them if you want. I'm sorry I left you alone for a bit as well."
Alucard just waited for her reply without sitting down and was actually knelt down so she could look him in the face without looking up.

Luke didn't know where to start, he was frustrated, his new headache didn't help much, and he felt that he was being completely ignored by Alucard. While they were at the food stand as Luke saw it Alucard just knocked a guy out for no good reason. The snobby prick. Clearly the socially retarded vampire won't pay enough attention to tell me what's going on, maybe his girlfriend will. They then returned from the foodstand, where Luke had realized that they didn't have candy.
Luke turned his attention toward the girl, who had been acting incredibly awkward and afraid of both Luke and Alucard, the same way Luke had imagined a person doing around a predator or mass murderer. Perhaps this is the phobia of strangers Alucard had spoke of, which obviously means that he doesn't even know her that well... Why is he calling her "little bird " then??? is it the same reason he calls people he hates "sheep"? That's just creepy and obnoxious!
Luke had his hand on his forehead, from the way he saw the situation. Okay calm down maybe she's just upset about her brother... maybe I'm wrong and it isn't her phobia of strangers. That would make more sense... and I suppose Little bird is a creepy thing to a call a girl under any context, the kind a nickname a stalker would give someone, she looks extra frightened whenever she hears it too... I suppose there is still the possibility...
Luke sighs sitting down one seat away from where Shaun once sat trying to give her space. The girl was obviously scared and in shock, and Alucard had just offered her food in a creepy fashion. Could you stop calling her little bird Alucard? It's creepy and it might give off the wrong impression, it's also obviously making her upset. He turned his head towards the girl. I'm sorry miss, I'd try and comfort you but, I don't know what's wrong... If you'd like we can talk about it... Luke hoped this would work, and make her feel better, maybe he'd get's some answers too.

Emily was plotting, which wasn’t all that surprising. But not the sort of plotting most people did. No, she was plotting her escape. But first… She had to figure out where the second half of her brother had run off too. She didn’t know if he expected her to stay there or not, which made things a little complicated. If he did, and she left, big trouble. If he didn’t and she did…. Well, he probably wouldn’t give a damn.
Well, Shaun had said it was up to her…. But did he mean it? If he had, she could wander off, probably go wait outside in the car if she wanted…..
Suddenly though, both teenagers were back. Crap. Escape plan foiled. And just when she’d decided to escape too! Poor timing on her part… Well, she’d just have to wait for the next opening.
Emily flinched when one of them, Alucard she remembered, knelt down next to her, intently waiting for an answer. She didn’t like this. At all. Her nerves were completely and totally shot from the attention she was getting. It wasn’t often that Em prayed to get sick, but right now was one. Purely because she knew Shaun would come racing back in a heartbeat if he realized her health was in jeopardy. Or so she hoped…
She didn’t say anything, to either of them. She just kept her gaze away, refusing to even look in their direction. She could feel an anxiety attack coming, the girl getting fidgety and jumpy. Ignoring everything that was said, she tried not to react when he called her a bird again. Still, there was a visible twitch when she said the words, obviously from discomfort. She didn’t know Alucard at all, hell, he didn’t even know her name, but that didn’t mean he had the right to give her a nickname.
Dammit, she didn’t want to have a panic attack right now! Taking slow, deep breaths, she tried to calm her racing heart. ”I-I don’t…. w-w-w-want… T-to talk…” With the incoming panic attack, her stutter was getting worse. To the point where she didn’t even want to say another word because she felt stupid for having a stutter at all. She would have added ‘I just want my brother’, if it weren’t such a challenge to speak.

Alucard just kneeled there waiting for her reply. She told him she didn't want to talk and looked like she was about to bolt at any given moment. He figured she would be like this, but she seemed set on not letting him do a single thing for her. He wasn't sure what he could do for her at the moment, aside from going and getting her brother for her but he was the one who left her here with him. He needed to show he could at least take care of her while he was gone or he might never get another chance to be around her. What could he do though when she didn't want to have anything to do with him? He only had one option right now it seemed.
" Alright, I'll leave you be then since you don't want to talk. Just let me know if you need anything, no matter what it is and I'll get it for you."
Alucard said to her before he sat in the seat next to the seat he was using before but was now full of food. He wasn't sure what he could do for her other then just leave her be right now. She would probably never let him to anything for her ever.

So I'm just supposed to sit here doing nothing hoping this girl doesn't have a panic attack... Screw that. Luke takes some water out of his backpack, thinking to himself, What do I do when I'm stressed out? he took a sip of the water and looked inside his, where he saw his modded psp and the first aid kit. He thought for a moment. Wondering if it would calm her down. If not it can't be worse than doing nothing... can it? Luke had come to his conclusion, if she's afraid of strangers, what better way to calm down and seclude yourself than video games, like Tetris. With any luck I can find out what's going on, obviously Alucard won't tell me. But if this Shaun is who I think he is, he might be in some deep trouble...
Luke gently handed the girl his Modded PSP, to calm her down Here you can play this it has a whole bunch of games you might like on it, like Harvest Moon, Tetris, Kingdom hearts: birth by sleep umm, oh yeah and The Sims 2.

Emily was trying to calm her raging nerves, still searching the crowd for her brother. Where had he gone? One was in the ring fighting, she could hear that plain as day. The other half though…. Maybe he was lurking in the shadows, watching what was happening. Actually, she was sure that’s what he was doing. That made her feel a little better….
She didn’t like this. People being around her when Shaun wasn’t. She didn’t know them, she didn’t know what they might do. It made her nervous. Maybe it Shaun was here she wouldn’t be freaking out nearly as much…
Not only was she ignoring Alucard, but the other teenage boy as well. That…. Until she heard him say Kingdom Hearts. It was probably the most interested reaction they’d ever seen from her all day, and by reaction… she at least looked at him, silently taking the PSP without a word. To say she liked the games was an understatement. She loved them. She had one and two for playstation, though she’d never beat one… Played it dozens of times yes, but not beat.
Still silent, she stared down at the PSP in her hands, as if unsure if she was allowed to play it even if he had handed it to her. Finally though, she turned it on. Sure she was still panicking. But hopefully this would help her raging nerves…
