Night Wolf was waiting in a small park near his new home. He had 'visited' the office of Jamie's boss and had 'borrowed' the contact information of that bounty hunter. He sent her a message saying that he had a job for her and to meet him in this location right after night fall. He had used his real name on the message, John Wolfe. He had realized after the interview something that he should have picked up on before. He was going to ask her about it and hire her to do something. He knew it was going to bug her and he wasn't sure if she would even go for it, but he was curious now and he had to find out. It wouldn't hurt to know if his suspission was true for future reference as well.
He looked over at her when she had finally arrived. He walked up to her and said, " I'm glad to see your here. I have a job for you and some questions to ask before I tell it to you."
He hoped this encounter turned out well, but with this woman there was no telling. He just had to be ready for what happened either way.

It was a little surprising to hear from the man she'd been 'protecting' her last Body guard job from. Even more so was the fact that he shouldn't have the resources to contact the Order, let alone get HER number! After putting some thought to it, she realized he must have 'borrowed' the information from a previous client. To say she was angry was an understatement. The fact that they'd kept it long enough for this to happen made her want to kill the people.
She hadn't spoken to him on the phone, she never answered her phone, forcing people to leave a message for her, so he was a little lucky, because otherwise he would have gotten an earful.
None the less, she would meet him, see what the mutant had to say. The moment he tried to approach her on her arrival though, she pulled out a gun, pointing it at him. "If you take another step, I'll blow a hole through your head." She waited several moments, to let her words sink in, before hiding the weapon on her person once more, her arms crossing across her chest.
"I don't do anything for free. Make it worth my time."

Night Wolf watched her put the gun up. He figured she would be cautious around him, but he needed her help. He pulled off his coat so the handles of both his knives and his revolver could be seen. He pulled out his knives and threw them over by the woman's feet. He then pulled out his revolver, emptied out the bullets into his palm and threw the gun by the knives and the bullets behind him. He was going to make sure she knew he was here for business as much as anything else.
" It will be trust me, but first I needed to know something since I'm going to be asking you to help me out with this job." Night Wolf said to the woman's statement. " I think I already know the answer to this, but are you a modified human?"
He wasn't for sure if she would answer or not. This woman obviously had no trust for anyone from what he could tell, let alone a mutant who had contacted her. This whole situation and the coming conversation had a good chance of becoming stressful, even if it was only for him that it did.

Merfonde slowly examined him as he disarmed himself, making sure every weapon was removed. She didn't do a thing about the weapons at her feet, except kick them out of her path. It was unlikely she'd trip on them, but only an idiot would leave a pair of knives on the ground, especially where you would step if you moved.
As he got down to business, asking his first question, she just stared at him with those wild hazel eyes of hers. It was almost like she was seeing right through him. Finally a truly wicked smirk crossed her lips. "Here's a question of my own, why do you care what I am or not?" Wasn't it pretty obvious? She was faster then humans, stronger then humans, better hearing and eyesight. Did he really think normal humans could do what she did, with out getting killed?
Why would it matter to him though? Most people didn't even believe there were humans like her, those who had been subjected to experiments.... Those who did know about them though, rarely seemed to realize these the experiments were purely voluntary. At least the ones she'd gone through...

Night Wolf knew she was going to be difficult. Oh well, he could just try to do this himself then. He didn't like the idea of it, but he was in no mood to try to convince someone to just be direct.
" Then forget about the whole thing. I'm sorry for wasting your time, but I guess I'll just handle this whole thing myself." Night Wolf said to her. " I didn't think you would listen to me anyways. Good luck with your business and don't worry about your contact information, I will destroy it so no one can get their hands on it."
Night Wolf picked up the bullets behind him and went over to pick up his other weapons. He was guessing she was a modified human though based on her reply. He had very little to base is thought of her being a modified human on though, only being her being able to sneak up on him during the interview but he had meet some normal humans who could do that stuff as well. He was going to have to rethink his plan now that he had given up on her helping him.

Now, Merfonde wasn't saying she wouldn't do it. The fact that he was so easy to drop it irritated the woman beyond belief. To the point that as he started to retrieve his weapons, she yanked out her own, finger on the trigger as she aimed at him. "I didn't say I wouldn't listen. But like I said, I don't work for free. I'll do the job as long as you make it worth my time." Her reflexes were, obviously above normal, because just like that the gun was put away, the woman stalking towards him, hands on her hips. "I'll even lower my fee, just this once of course. But you're going to have to answer my questions as well."
"You're smarter then most mutants. You know about us. Better yet, you can recognize one. Most people don't even believe such a thing is possible, let alone anyone willing to try the mad experiments." Merfonde was smirk darkly. "I'll ask you again. Why do you care if I'm modified?" She'd just told him what she was, with out actually saying 'Yes, I'm a scientifically modified human'.

Night Wolf looked at her, it seems she was interested now. He might as well tell her the truth since if she agree to the job they would be working with each other. He also needed her help and he just kept being proved right about his suspision, even without this woman all but telling him she was. He looked her up and down slowly really quick before he said, " Well I'm going to assume you ignored my conversation with Jam-, Ms. Doe, and just tell you from scratch."
Night took in a deep breath before he started back by saying, " My parents died when I was young due to an accident. I somehow ended up in this orphanage after that. That was just a cover though since this place was used for some mad man's idea of an experiment. He was raising and forcing mutant kids to fight everyday to find out what would make a better mutant fighter. I was one of the mutant kids as you probably figured out, but they also picked up normal human kids as well. They modified these kids and forced them to fight us mutant kids as well as other modified kids. You never knew who or what you would be fighting everyday so I had to learn to spot a modified human quickly. And the reason I want to know if you were one as well is because the job I have for you involves a lot of fighting, against both mutants AND some modified humans."
