Alice looked like she was deciding who to rip apart, or kill in another gruesome way, when she heard what Night said. The actually stopped, breaking that insane gaze she'd had focused on the men, to look at Night. She actually looked surprised that he'd made such a demand.
Several moments of silence followed as the girl stared at him, mulling over the demand. After a short time though, she glanced back at the men, who were still in shock from the gruesome death of their comrade. The look she had almost made it feel like they were lambs going to the slaughter. Still, she didn't do anything as she looked back at Night.
"......." Of course she didn't like having to decide between these men and Night. Which was she supposed to choose though? Someone who just might be able to play her twisted game of tag... Or these men who probably wouldn't last one round... Her answer was written all over her face, looking utterly distraught. "You promise?" It was almost like dealing with a child, how she was upset by the idea of not playing with these men, but at the same time excited. Obviously people didn't 'volunteer' to play with her very often...

Night Wolf gave her a smile and said, " I promise, now just sit back and watch. Maybe this will get you excited."
He turned around to look at the frightened men. His smile turned from the friendly kind it had been with Alice to a strange kind that hadn't been on his face before. He had a wicked grin that made him look like he was about to do something to these men they wouldn't like. The men continued to look at him as if trying to figure out what to do. One of them seemed to have gotten some courage from somewhere, because he readied the gun to shoot it. A weird beeping sound came from the suited man. He said with a face of terror, " Shot you fool! He is a mutant too!"
The rest of the men moved their guns to shot, but before they could so much as pull the trigger, Night traveled into the middle of them and had cut the eyes of two of the men as he came up with both of his daggers. The men had faces full of terror as they had scattered away from Night. Night quickly glanced at them, his eye having turned a golden hue, and with a burst of speed that not normal person could ever hope to reproduce, he had made to to the first of the men and had landed a punch to his stomach so hard it lifted him off the ground for a moment. As the man dropped to the floor, Night was onto two men who had stuck together and had slashed out the back of their legs forcing them to drop to the ground. As they hit the ground, Night slashed their wrists so they could no longer use the guns. The last of the men with guns took a single shot at Night, but he had traveled behind him using the man's own shadow and had thrust his knives through both of the man's shoulders, the blades having gone all the way through his flesh.
" It seems only you two are left." Night Wolf said with a chilling gaze at the two men on the other side of the kitchen as the man he was behind dropped to the floor in agony from his stab wounds.

Alice was a little sullen as she hopped onto a counter, crossing her legs and leaning against the wall. Even if she had agreed to stop, it didn't mean she was happy about it. She just watched in silence as Night intimidated the men who had suddenly seemed to realize that the rest of them were still in danger. Some humans could be so stupid...
What was that sound though? Whatever it was seemed to have broke their fear induced silence.
Alice was a little surprised that he didn't use his power other then that first moment to get in the middle of the men. This guy seemed to prefer hand to hand combat.... That she wasn't happy about at all. She'd rather see what he did with his power! Curse it all.. It upset her enough that she just about decide to go back on her word. But no.... She was still curious. And until her curiosity was satisfied she had to be 'somewhat' obedient... Wait.... Obedient? Her? Why was she doing that?!
She watched him beat them to a pulp, gaze expressionless. No sympathy for the men, no worry for Night, nothing. Just... watched. It was a little eerie. "You didn't kill the others." She only spoke up after he had. She'd expected him to kill them on the spot, but no. He'd only wounded all of them... Why? Did he really value their lives?

Night Wolf ignored what Alice said to him as he looked at the two men who he had left to deal with. The people who had been forced into the corner all bolted for the back door of the kitchen. Scream of 'monsters' and 'demons' could be heard as they all pushed to get out of the door.
" So would you rather we just end this whole ordeal now, or do you want to keep going?" Night Wolf asked the two men after the people had escaped.
The other man with the suited man smiled and said, " I think you are the one who needs to give up, or at least that is what I would have said. Now though I'm just going to kill you."
The man waved his arm in front of him with a wicked grin on his face. Night felt his instinct tell him to move, so he dropped down close to the ground as a slash of wind cut through the space he had just been and cut through everything in it's way. Night growled loudly and said, " Wind manipulator I see."
" HAHAHAHAHAHA! Yes I am, so what are you going to do Mr. Knives? I'll cut you to pieces!" the man said as he made the same kind of movement as before.
Night took a few scratches as he dodged the wind. This man wasn't nearly as good as he thought he was, or as smart. Night had glanced over at Alice a few times to make sure she stayed where she was, this wind user had forgotten all about her it seemed. Night glanced back at the man and sighed. He had only one choice right now on what he could do since he didn't want Alice or the wounded man to get hit by the wind and his gun wouldn't work against this kind of guy.
Night's eye had a the white part of them begin to turn black. After it had completely turned black, a strange sound reverberated through the room. It sounded like the howl of a pack of wolves in the distance. The wind user stopped as he heard the sound and quickly looked around the room. Three wolves seemed to come out of the shadows in different parts of the kitchen: two on either side of the wind user and one from behind the suited man. The wolves seemed to be of pure shadow outside of their glowing eye, that resembled the glow of the moon in the pitch darkness of the night.

Alice looked as if she was contemplating taking a nap while he finished taking care of the rest of the men. She even went as far as closing her eyes and relaxing on the spot. This was mainly to distract herself. If she saw those living, but injured, men, she'd be tempted to finish Night's work. But he'd already told her he wouldn't play with her if she hurt them... She had to keep the temptation to a minimum, if she thought about it to much, she might lose control...
Her eyes only opened when she heard the laughing, the teenage girl giving the cackling man a bored look. He spoke to loud... And if it weren't for that deal, she would have killed him just for that alone.
Her eyes were closed once more, thoughts else where. She didn't care that the staff was gone, and would, with out a doubt, go get the police to 'handle' them. What she did care about was getting boxed into this place by said police. She'd have no problems dealing with them, but she was sure he'd say their deal included the Police....
Only when she felt something.... Odd did her eyes open once more. She stared at the shadow wolves, expression impossible to read...

Night Wolf just looked at the wind user who seemed to be confused by what he was seeing. The man looked at the wolves as if he didn't know what to expect of them, before he finally smiled and laughed. He said as he looked over at Night, " These are some very nice illusions you have here. I almost thought they were real for a moment there. That is a neat trick, but it is time for you to die!"
He was about to move when he heard the suited man begin to scream in a voice of extreme agony. The wolf that had appeared behind him had passed through the man somehow and had caused the state he was in. The wolves began to slowly approach the wind user, their eyes locked on him with the sense of the hunt in them. The wind users continued to smile as he threw slashes of wind at them. The wolves bodies seemed to just move around the attack, as if their bodies were made of nothing but shadows. The wind user took one step back and said as he continued to smile worriedly, " Really nice illusion there buddy. I can't believe it can react so when to my attacks."
The man's smile slowly faded away as the realization that the wolves might be real hit him. He slowly began to back up, but before he could take more then a few steps, the wolves had their fangs sunk into the man's arms and legs. The man began to randomly thrash around and cause all kinds of violent gusts of wind to shoot from his body, but the wolves bodies always reformed, there jaws still stuck in his flesh.
" Are you done thrashing around yet?" Night asked the man as he was suddenly standing over the top of him. " Or would you like to play with them some more?"
The man could only nod as his blood soaked limbs fell to the floor motionless from his exhaustion. Night looked at the man for a moment before he suddenly punched him in the gut, knocking him out. He stood up and looked over at the still screaming man. He walked over to the man and began to empty out his pockets.

Alice watched with silent interest. The 'wolves' were shadows, there was no doubt about that. She could feel them. It made her wonder what would happen if she tried to manipulate one...
She didn't though, as he might think she was trying to finish off the men if she did. Couldn't risk playing later. Hearing the Wind manipulator speak made her make a sour face. He was an idiot. This was why she hated people. Everyone was an idiot. She didn't speak up this time, convinced Night would at least kill this one. He was the most annoying of the bunch, after all.
Hearing the screams... Alice sat up straight, her eyes wide... and blacker then a black hole and just as engulfing. She almost lost it right then, and it was obvious, the light above them exploding. Somehow though... She managed to restrain herself, keep herself from lashing out at the men... But a mad and hungry look was in her eyes, urging her to just give in and kill the men.
Still, she managed to stay in somewhat control, but she never looked away from the man, her bloodthirsty want written all over her face. Finally though, he'd taken care of one... And not in the way she wanted. Like before he'd just knocked him out. She let out an angry growl, loud enough that he'd hear it quite clearly. Even worse.. One was still alive AND conscious.
Her frustration started to show, all the shadows in the room twitching under her power.

Night Wolf began to look at what the man had on him as the light exploded. He didn't flinch when this happened because he could feel that Alice had used her powers somehow. The man had what you would expect most people to have, keys, a wallet, and some small change. What was interesting though was the small book he had on him and a strange device he had in his pocket. As he went to reach for it, the thing began to beep. This is what had made that sound earlier. Night glanced over the small book as he pocketed the device. What he saw in the book seemed to interest him enough that he pocketed it as well. He looked over at Alice now, she was in an uproar and causing all of the shadows to move around. The wolves had seemed to be unaffected by her power, but it was clear they did have an interest in her pressense.
Night knocked the screaming man out before he walked over to Alice. He put his hands on her shoulders and said to her, " Alice calm down! If you don't your going to hurt someone and then we can't play remember?"

Alice was basically glaring now, mostly at Night for not finish the job, but also at the unconscious men as she started to debate if playing with him would really be worth it, or if she should just have her own fun. After all, she could always replace playmates... But she didn't like to unless she had to. Considering Night might be capable of surviving....
Either way, it was amazing she'd lasted this long with all the violence but no deaths. All that aggression had built up inside of her to the point of making her want to explode, destroying everything in sight.
Upon Night's return to her, and attempt to make her calm down, she gave him a dangerous look, resisting the urge to growl at him this time. It was almost feral, the way she was acting, like a lion that was hungry, with food just out of it's reach.
After several moments though, the shadows seemed to settle, reluctantly, slowly followed by color returning to her eyes. She still wasn't happy, glaring darkly at the man. Why was he so set on letting these men live? They didn't deserve to live! It was the law of life! Survival of the fittest... And they'd already proven their inferiority...

Night Wolf waited for her to calm down. It would seem she had somehow not kill these men. He wasn't sure of what he would be able to do about Alice. All he knew was that he had stumbled upon something interesting with these men that he needed to look into, and he still needed to look after Alice. He believed that more now then he had before, only now it was to keep her from hurting other people more then anything.
" Let's go someplace else, before the police stumble in here and you lose it." Night said to Alice.
He wrapped his arms around her. As he did, the wolves disappeared back into the shadows of the kitchen. As soon as the wolves were gone, Night brought both him and Alice through the shadows to a park somewhere in the city. He let go of her as they arrived so he could fall to the ground. His gun shot wound was bleeding badly and he was exhausted after having pulled her through the shadows. He needed to do something about this wound, but he was sure Alice wouldn't want to help him.
" So how are you feeling? No injuries or anything right?" Night asked her with a weak smile as he panted.

If Alice knew he thought he needed to look after her... She might have tried to harm the man. No, the only reason why people might feel that way would be because they were more interested then everyone else's safety then hers. Personally, she didn't care who, or what she hurt. Whether she just wounded them, or killed them, it didn't matter as long as they suffered in some way. Of course.... She liked killing more then wounding.
She continued to stare at him darkly as he spoke, but she didn't argue. Police complicated things. Sure, they were easy victims, which made her far to willing to play with them, but at the same time they were serious trouble because of the media. Being in the spotlight was not something she'd like.
Again, she voiced no protest, even when he wrapped his arms around her. She just stayed deathly still, not even daring to move an inch as he took her through the shadow plane and out at a park. She stood there after his fall, staring at him as he struggled for breath, expression void of any sympathy. "......."
Of course she wasn't worried about his safety, she was a little more focused on his being able to 'play' with her later. If he died now, he wouldn't, and her holding back at the restaurant would have been a waste. Still, what exactly was she supposed to do..? She'd never actually tried to save someone....
".... You're not allowed to die. So get better." She obviously didn't understand the process required to even handle a wound like his own, seemingly convinced it was something he could just recover from in a few minutes. And, she was also convinced that seeing as he hadn't eaten, food would help with that process. With absolutely no warning, she turned and bolted off, vanishing from sight before he would be able to realize what had happened.
A few minutes later, she returned, carrying a little over a dozen cooked hot dogs. Where she'd gotten them... Well, he'd probably not want to know, but at least no one was killed during the collection. With out a word she dumped the food onto the ground next to him, before sitting down a few feet away, wrapping her hands around her knees with her head resting on top.
As she saw it, she had two options. The first would be leaving him there and coming to find him later when he was well enough to play. Or, she could find a place for him until he woke up. Both were tempting ideas. With that power of his, it would likely be easy to find him again. Still... Did she want to go through the trouble of looking though? Not to mention.... It'd be light soon enough...
Finally, she came to a decision. Scouting around, she finally found a suitable shelter, a maintenance shed. With her power, it took no effort to break the lock, and drag Night to the safe house.Once inside, she sat in one corner, him in the opposite, arms around her knees once more.

Night Wolf watched her run off and come back with some food. He wasn't sure why she did it, but he guessed she did because she thought it would help him out in some way. He smiled at the thought of her wanting to keep him alive, even if it was just so she could play with him. His vision was begining to blurr though and he knew that wasn't a good sign. He was completely drained after having brought her here, and with as much blood as he had lost from when he had first gotten shot until now without stopping the bleeding, there was a chance he could pass out and not make it if he didn't do something soon.
" Alice can I get you to help me out with stopping the bleeding from that gun shot? Just follow what I tell you to do and I promise you won't die so we can play." Night said with a weak smile. " First, I need you to take off my shirt so you can see the wound. Next you need to remove the bullet from the wound, if you need to use one of my knives, feel free to. After the bullet is out, you need to rip up my shirt into long strips like bandages. Put some of the strips over the wound to stop the bleeding and then wrap the last of the strips around the wound tightly. Once you have finished wrapping it up, you are done. Easy to fix right?"
He had somehow managed to keep from passing out while she bandaged him up. After she had finished, he gave her a smile. Before he could say anything, his vision blacked over and he fell to the ground.

Alice watched him for several moments, as if waiting for him to get up and be completely fine. How or why she seemed to come to the conclusion that he'd recover in only a few minutes was a mystery. Perhaps it was the fact that she'd never tried to 'help' someone recover from injuries before. Perhaps because she'd never watched to see the steps necessary to recover. Perhaps she'd spent to much time watching Logan fight, and expected everyone to heal the same way.
Hearing his request, she lifted her head, as if surprised such a thing would be required. Finally she stood up, closing the distance quickly and following his directions. Instead of using the knife to remove the bullet though, she used her own power, creating her own knife. The girl was unfazed by the entire thing, not squeamish from the blood or having to dig out a bullet. Well, at least her inability to sympathize with people had some use.
Her handiwork was sloppy, and probably painful for him, but he didn't complain nearly as much as she expected. Finally though, when all was set and done.... He just passed out on her. Really? Really?! To say she was mad was an understatement. Here she went to all that trouble just so she could play with him, holding back at the restaurant, treating his wound, bringing him food, and he goes back on his word and passes out! Well... Maybe he'd be willing after he woke....
But what was she supposed to do? Just leave him there and come find him later? Find a place for him to rest and her to just wait?

Night Wolf laid on the ground having completely passed out on Alice right after she had bandaged him up. It was hard to say how good his condition was at this point. His now bare torso showed no signs of feeling the chill of the night. It was riddled with scars though, with most of them centered around spots that if you were to shot or stab someone at it would almost always kill him. This was a testament to how much he had endured and survived over the years. How could someone without spontanious regeneration have survived so many fatal blows to his body? Most though would not even realize the gravity of what it meant for him to have survived being attacked in a fatal spot so many times.
Night still had not shown any sign of waking up soon. It probably would have been better if he had been moved to a warmer, less exposed spot, but leaving him were he was wouldn't kill him either. The blood had bleed through part of the bandage though some before it had stopped, leaving his wound to look worse then just a single gun shot. Who knew what would happen to the bandage now though.
