It was a beautiful day in New York city. The smog had cleared from the sky revealing a brilliant blue, a few clouds here and there accented the ocean above. Despite the hustle and bustle of the traffic everything seemed, cheerful, to say the least. Perhaps it was just from Rory's persepective that it seemed that way. For once, he had the opportunity to bring to pass the death of the only person Rory ever feared and to topple the orginization that threatens to destroy the world. It was refreshing, in a sense, to have everything in life so focused and have only one clear goal.
A lone motorcycle pulled up in front of the N.Y.P.D's main headquarters in New York. The sidewalk was otherwise lined with police cars, SWAT cars, and numerous other law enforcement vehicles. The old Harley seemed a little out of place. As Rory stepped off it he remeained in his leather suit and bike helmet, glancing over the motorcycle. He had stolen it all from the X-Men's garage, and only now he wondered who it belonged to... oh well.
Keeping the helmet on he began to make his way up the stairs toward the police headquarters. As he opened the large glass doors into a beautiful marble receiving area, he saw a local news crew set up, interviewing the police chief. Oh this couldn't have gotten more anymore perfect. Fate was on his side today.
Slowly he began to take off the leather gloves, inzip the leather jack, unzip the leather chaps, and slowly take off the helmet. As he removed each piece of clothing it didn't reveal skin or clothing underneath, but what looked like some sort of black armored mesh. As his helmet came off it revealed another helmet underneath, this one solid black, with a white skull painted on it.
The helmet dropping to the floor rang out across the empty receptionist area as Rory let go of it, the receptionsist herself was the first to notice Rory and immediately screamed. In the next few moments, the news crew pointed their cameras at Rory, the entire police for pointed their guns at Rory, and Rory himself lifted his hands slowly in the air... Giving up. "I am the phantom you have all been searching for, I am responsible for hundreds of murders in New York over the past month, and for the explosion at the Friends of Humanity Rally only days ago... I am here to give myself up." The cold metallic voice came out of the helmet.
Slowly Rory got to his knees and put his hands behind his hand. All of the cops immediately rushed him, forcing him to the ground and had to find their largest pair of restraints to put on his hands and feet. As they finished and began to pull Rory up, he could hear the news lady turning to the camera and saying something about how "the phantom of New York has given himself up.." or something along those lines.
"Wait, before you incarcerate me, I wish to be put before the camera." The cops stopped for a moment, before aggreeing and moving him in front of the camera. "I am the one you all know as the Phantom. I was responsible for destroying the gas line at the human rally days ago and have proof for it, also..." He paused, and the helmet of his suit began to melt away.
"Me name is Rory Ashe, and I believe I am wanted in more than a few countries... Come out and play." Rory said, giving a slight wink to the camera. The anchorwoman asked why he turned himself in but the cops were already dragging him away. The deed was already done though, he had saved Freya and called out the agency. His helmet began to form back over his face, hiding him once again as the cops lead him away. Under his helmet, he smiled.

Rory had locked her in their room. He’d broken the door handle, AGAIN, effectively locking her in. Just that knowledge alone infuriated Freya. Of course, she didn’t discover she’d been locked in for quite some time. After he’d left their room to do… Who knew what, she’d decided to get up and ready for the day. She didn’t plan on going anywhere, of course. She just liked looking nice… It helped that she thought Rory was coming back
She was just getting out of the shower when she started to worry. Rory had been gone almost half an hour. Sighing, she finished getting ready, using her power to dry her hair as she got dressed, pulling on a pair of jeans and a plain green tee-shirt. As much as she hated the outside world right now, she was going to go see what was taking him so long. Reaching the door…. The strangest thing happened.
It wouldn’t open.
Freya tried again, the handle still not turning. What the hell? Suddenly she realized what was going on… Or, at least part of it. He’d broken the handle, AGAIN, locking her inside their room… Suddenly she was mad. What was he up to..? Scowling, she took a step back, pointing at the door. Lightning streaked from her fingertips, shattering the door into thousands of pieces and efficiently startling a passerby. Stepping out of the now doorless doorframe, she stared at the person darkly. ”Mind telling one of the X-men we need a new door?” She stalked passed the person, angry and on a mission. She wanted an explanation.
She was on the main floor now, searching for her lover, who would be in big trouble when she found him, when the news in the main room caught her attention. Stepping inside, she was just in time to see… Rory. In his suit…. What the hell was he doing?! She was frozen as she listened, absolutely horrified.
He was… Taking the blame? Dammit, he wasn’t allowed to do that!
Storming out of the school, she didn’t care who she got in her path. Rory was in big trouble.
With her power, it was a quick trip to New York, the woman being as flamboyant as ever as she landed on the top steps of the station and storming in. It was obvious she was angry. ”Tell me where you took that idiot so I can kill him myself.” With most the police taking Rory back, it was just her, a stunned news crew, and a terrified receptionist.

As the police lead Rory back to a heavily fortified cell they had prepared for him, he was still smiling under his mask. He could hear the anchorwoman questioning why his final words had been "come out and play". They were probably very obscure to people considering he had just turned himself in, yet it sounded like he was calling someone out, and calling someone out was exactly what he had done.
Rory knew there was a certain someone out there monitering the news network, and if he wasn't mistaken they were probably already coming for him. It would only be a few minutes now before they came, and when they did... Well, Rory already had it all planned out. They would have no idea what they were getting themselves into.
After a few moments they finally got back to Rory's new 'home' for the time being, and a short time at that. The inside the cell it was solid metal, lined with elctrical conduits. The cell door was barred, but not like a normal cell door, it had six inch thick steel bars for the door. All in all, it was an impressive cell. The doors buzzed, then slid open and they pushed Rory inside, the door slamming behind him. Obviously this cell was meant for mutants, and powerful ones no doubt. Too bad it wouldn't stop the people coming for him...
Slowly Rory walked around his cell, examining it, before sitting directly in the middle with his back to the cell door. With his legs crossed, in a meditative pose, Rory looked much like a black statue posed in the center, unmoving. There he remained for minutes, maybe hours, it was hard to tell how much time passed now as he was in fact meditating.
After an unknown amount of time passed, Rory heard footsteps outside his cell, "You got a visitor, freak." The guard said, stepping aside. Rory smirked under his mask, so they had come already? Slowly he stood up, facing the door only to see... Freya?!? What?! What was she doing here, this was impossible?
Rory charged toward the cell door, grabbing it and staring at Freya behind his mask, "What the hell are you doing here? I told you to stay in the mansion? Why did you come?" Despite the cold metallic nature of his voice coming through the mask, it was obvious how incredibly upset Rory was to see the person he loved.

It was a little amazing that they would let Freya see him. Maybe it was her reputation that made it possible, or maybe it was the fact that she looked like a woman who had just found out the guy she loved was cheating on her. Not quite the truth, but it was pretty close. All the men seemed to think she was angry someone would take the blame for her crime. The women… Well, they figured it out pretty quickly, they were even a little sympathetic, convincing the officers to let her back to see Rory.
She didn’t say anything else, just followed the officer back in silence, gathering her thoughts. Why had he done it? What was he trying to do? Did he really expect to get away with this? Or for her to stay away when she figured out what he was up to? Apparently… Because the moment he saw her, the woman standing in front of his cell with her arms folded angrily across her chest, he was going on about her being there.
”What am I doing here?! What are you doing here! What do you think you’re doing?!” She was downright furious. ”You are the most infuriating man I’ve ever met! Did you expect me to just sit quietly when I saw you on the news?!” The woman loved him, of course, loved him more than she could put into words. But right now? She didn’t like him all that much.

As Freya began chewing him out, the mask on Rory's head began to slowly melt away revealing perhaps the angriest face Freya had ever seen on Rory. As she spoke, he was only half listening, glancing at all the guards who were sitting there staring at Rory's cell with their weapons showing; blatantly showing. What was Freya doing here, she was going to get herself killed. She had no idea what was coming.
Rory listened to her rant and rave for several minutes, his face and expression were stony; revealing little. However it was still obvious how angry he was but he said nothing yet. Letting her blow out her steam for now, his mind racing. This wasn't part of the plan, he had to think of something and quick. That was when his mind landed on it... It was probably the only way, the only chance, that he had in saving Freya from what was coming. When Freya finally finished, Rory glanced at the guards.
"Shut up, do ye want ta get us both killed?" Rory had never spoken to Freya like that, and he knew it, and she knew it, but he had only just began. "Do ye really think I'm doing this for you... Oh my..." Rory took a slight step back, a look of shock over his face, then he started laughing.
"Ye actually think I'm doing this fer ye?... Ye actually think I care abou' ye? Girl, there are bigger things going on here than ye can understand... I used ye, every step of the way." Rory said quietly and calmly, a look of disgust on his face as he looked over Freya. "As if I could fall fer someone like ye... I used ye fer sex and ta get here to further my plans, nothing more. Yer stupid to think I ever cared about ye, ye mean nothing to me, but trash..." Saying it all left a bitter taste in Rory's mouth, but his face remained unreadable, even the best lie detector would think he was serious.
"Ye saved my life once... I'm saving yers now, don't question ih... Now ge' lost, yer worthless to me now and I'll be out of yer life soon, so go." Rory knew it wouldn't make Freya angry, he knew what to say not to make her angry, he was cutting her deeper than any blade had, and he knew it. What she didn't know, was that inside, it was tearing Rory up; hurting him just as bad. He almost couldn't say what he was, he... loved her, that's why he had to make her leave him.

Rory had never used that tone on her. Unwillingly she fell silent, not because he’d told her to though…. She was actually stunned. Freya might yell at him, and chew him out all the time, but this…. This was a first.
As he continued speaking though, Freya’s heart started to sink. Deeper and deeper. She hated to be cliché, but each word was like a knife to the heart. A part of her tried to tell her he didn’t mean it, that something was going on that he wasn’t telling her about. The attempts were feeble, at best. And all attempts to keep her expression calm failed. Her emotions were clear as day, written all over her face.
It felt like she was drowning, and believe me, she knew what that was like, the more he said, the deeper she sank and the harder to breath it became. She was, figuratively, suffocating. Even her own body temperature dropped, which Rory probably hadn’t thought was possible. After all, she’d never told him everything there was to her power. That Freya was the cold blooded one, and not Tari. That it was her own power that kept her body temperature high, and if she wasn’t watch it, it dropped to Tari’s usual temperature. And here he’d always thought she had an unnaturally high body temperature… The sudden drop only proved how upset she was…
”I see…..” Likewise, Freya had never used this tone around Rory. She actually sounded like Tari, just as cold and unfeeling. Nothing like her usual outspoken and firey self. Without another word, she turned and left, unable to bring herself to even look at him.
She was nearing the door at the end of the hall, when all hell broke loose…

Freya's spirit appeared as though it was being shattered over and over with every word Rory said. He wasn't just wounding her, he was completely breaking her. Every time her face dropped, so did Rory's heart. It was breaking him watching her hurt like this, and be hurt by him. It had to be done though, he was trying to save her, save her before they killed her or worse. Why couldn't she have just stayed in the room for ten minutes longer? Just ten minutes and this would have all passed.
As Freya spoke, Rory's helmet began to cover his face once more so that by the time she turned away his face was masked, covered by a black helmet with a white skull. As she disappeared through the door frame Rory continued staring where he last saw her, "I love you." The cold metallic voice spoke softly, so only he could hear.
Slowly he backed up into his cell, trying to forget the things he had just done when the lights shut off to his cell. His head jerked up toward the ceiling, "They're here..." He muttered under his breath as the guards flashlights came on.
"What the hell was tha-" Before the guard could finish the entire roof of the building was blown away in a massive explosion. Yep, they were here. Once the smoke and debris cleared, several massive black helicopters could be seen hovering over the building. They had probably cut the power to several blocks around the police station, no one knew they were coming until it was too late, just like Rory had taught them...
Several ropes were thrown out of each helicopter, and men in black suits very similiar to Rory's repelled out of them and into the court house. They opened fire on everyone, butchering every living person in the entire building. After all, no witnesses, no problems. Rory could only pray they got Freya out in time.
The guards in front of Rory's cell were gunned down in seconds, and then the door to his cell was blown away. Several Ghosts stepped in and eyed Rory, "Look at this boys, he's all wrapped up and ready to go like a present." One said, commenting on Rory's cuffs. "Merry Christmas." Another quipped before they grabbed Rory and signaled one of the helicopters. Everything was going perfectly to plan, and yet Rory's mind was only on Freya...
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
On the far side of the building, several ghosts walked through the front door, raising their weapons and killing everyone, locking the doors behind them. Their suits looked incredibly similiar to Rory, but only sleeker, smoother, and more alien. It was obvious theirs were updated versions of Rory's. As the last person was gunned down, the Ghosts reloaded their weapons and stood by the doors, as sentry's until Rory was taken into the helicopter.
At least that was until another person walked into the room. Both ghosts robotically turned their heads toward the newcomer, her face registering on their visors... An Elensar. They looked at each other, then nodded. One lowered his gun and pulled out of a small satchel what looked like a handful of black marbles, throwing them at the Elensars feet. Black smoke burst from the balls as they touched the floor, the moment the women inhaled it, her powers were shot for a good thirty minutes.
As the smoke cleared around the woman, where she would have seen the Ghosts standing before would be empty, they were gone. There was total silence in the room, nothing but dead bodies and distant gunshots from somewhere else in the building when suddenly, a Ghost landed directly behind Freya. His gun was gone and in it's place was what looked like a black steel rod, the man, or thing, flicked his wrist and electricty crackled and lit up all around the baton. Suddenly, on the opposite side of the woman, flanking her exit, another ghost landed. This one was holding a long black staff, he slammed the end of the staff on the ground and electricty crackled around it as well. Then without warning, they charged the woman, it was obvious; they weren't trying to kill her, this was going to be a kidnapping.
Freya wasn’t all that… Aware, to be honest. The man she loved, move then anything in this life, had just…. Ripped her heart out. Imagine how you would feel in her shoes! It took everything she had to leave Rory’s cell as calmly as she had, when all she wanted was to break down and cry. And it took a lot to make an Elensar cry…. Quite the accomplishment on Rory’s part.
She’d stopped when she was out of sight, leaning against the wall as she tried to catch her breath. God…. Why did it hurt…? How could emotional pain become physical..? She’d been through a lot in her life… And right now, she’d rather be back at death’s door then feel this pain.
After a few moments though, Freya forced herself to keep going. Perhaps that small pause was what saved her from being gunned down like the rest of the people in the lobby. Either way, when she reached the room, she froze.
What?
Everyone was dead. Except for two men who guarded the doors. Instantly she recognized the suits. The same kind as those two from weeks before…. She didn’t even hesitate, lashing out. Fire bursting up around them. Sadly, with her current… Emotional state it just didn’t pack the same punch. She couldn’t even muster enough power to do any real damage. Then… Smoke filled the room.
And she lost control of the fire.
Freya covered her both and nose, as if it’d help after she’d already inhaled quite a bit of the smoke. Dammit. Today… Just really wasn’t her day… When the smoke cleared, both were gone. She scanned the room, trying to find them. She heard the gun fire, and was sure it came from the cells she’d just left. Her first thoughts…. Were hoping Rory was alright. Then, silently telling herself to forget about him, the aching in her chest tighter when she even thought his name.
Suddenly she heard the heavy thud of one of them landing behind her, she turned, taking a few steps back. This was bad…. Perhaps she should have learned at least a few self defense techniques… Her only chance would be escape. Sadly, they were way ahead of her, because as she turned to make a break for the exit, the second reappeared, effectively trapping her between them. To make matters worse, both of them had those stun rods…. She’d had a nasty run in with one in the past, she really didn’t want to repeat the experience.
Both men were faster than her. She couldn’t even react fast enough to retaliate. With attacks from both sides, it was pure luck she managed to even get a few steps in an attempt to escape. Then…. Electricity was coursing through her whole body. Not from one, but two stun rods. She screamed, maybe Rory would hear if he wasn’t already out of building. Maybe he’d feel a little more remorseful about what he’d done (She didn’t realize it was all a lie after all.). Then, everything went black, the French woman dropping limply to the ground.
The Elensar woman was less of a fight than the two Ghosts had been hoping for. As the rushed her, she broke under their attack in mere seconds; even some humans lasted long than that. Strangely though, it seemed as if she had already been broken... Either way, no person stood a chance against Ghosts, and especially not a mutant that relied on their powers and had them taken away.
The first ghost slammed his stun staff into Freya's leg, tripping her, and the second slammed his stun rod into Freya's head before she even hit the ground. Now, a stun rod may sound somewhat gentle, like something you'd use to control a crowd. These rods however had enough power in them to power a small house, and with ever hit they burned through clothing and left definite red burn marks. They were brutal weapons and if over used could easily kill a person.
While Freya was on the ground, the first Ghost raised his stun rod again and slammed it across her face once more, then her body several times; leaving burn marks all across her. When he moved to hit her head again the second ghost stopped him, clicking loudly. The first ghost clicked back then nodded, powering off his stun rod and picked the Elensar woman up as the second ghost moved back to stand as a sentry once more.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
In the cells, a harness and a rope fell from the helicopter over the torn roof. The Ghosts strapped Rory into it, then signaled the Helicopter and it began towing him up. Rory would have been going over his plan had everything gone smoothly, but his mind was turned to Freya. Just before the Ghosts came he could've swore he heard a scream that sounded like Freya, he prayed that it wasn't her. Surely she left in time, or at least he kept telling himself that.
Once inside the helicopter, several ghosts picked him up and pushed him to the far wall, binding him to a chair there, then stood on the opposite side staring at him... Staring at their master. He had to admit, he had trained them well, it took them a total of five minutes, if that, to ransack the building and retrieve him. However,t hese sure left a lot of eviden- A sudden explosion and shockwave shook the helicopter, Rory looked out the window behind him and saw the police headquarters was nothing but a mushroom cloud as they flew away. Ok, they were good.
Glancing around the helicopter he saw numerous weapons, six ghosts, two ghost pilots, and in the back corner he saw a figure slumped on the ground. Had they kidnapped someone else? Who else could've been at... His heart sunk... Was that, "Freya?" Rory said under his breath, but the ghosts heard him.
One laughed, "The Elensar woman? Bring her here..." The man said and another ghost walked forward and grabbed her, dragging her into the middle of the group. Immediately Rory jerked at his bindings, forcing himself to stop, the only way he could save her now was to follow his plan... Which became harder as he looked over her, seening her torn clothes and numerous burn marks, obviously from a stun rod.
"You... Care for this woman? Haha! You care for her! Look at this gentlemen, the great Rory, hunter of Omegas, has fallen in love with his prey."
"Touch her and I'll kill you!" Rory shouted, even through his helmet his voice sounded like the crack of a whip, causing them all to jump as he lunging at his bindings.
"Heh... Wake her up." The ghost said, motioning to her. Another ghost knelt down beside her and pulled out a small cylinder, then slammed it against Freya's neck. It was a dose of adrenaline, enough to bring a corpse back from the dead. Not only would she be awake, the would be ready to take on the world, unfortunately she was still bound with rope.
Why couldn't she have just stayed home? Why did she have to come here and ruin everything? Why did he have to love her so much?... For now, everyone seemed to go silent, waiting for the dragon to wake up...

Normally, it wasn’t possible for the woman to get burns, even from stun rods. All because of her power, which basically made her immune to them. Sadly, with her powers ‘turned off’, they couldn’t protect her.
That wasn’t the only abnormal thing though. As expected, she usually put up at least a bit more of a fight. But considering the ordeal she’d just gone through, you couldn’t exactly blame her. After all, did you really expect a women who’d just had her heart broken to even be all that aware of her surroundings? The fact that she’d noticed as much as she had was miraculous, to say the least!
She was completely out, but it seemed the torture continued to go on even after she passed out. She’d definitely feel it when she woke, but at least now…. While she wasn’t conscious… She didn’t have to worry about the pain, both physical and emotional. Sadly, reality didn’t seem to like that idea, because raw adrenaline had been shot into her veins.
It took a moment, but suddenly, just like that, she was awake. First order of busi- Damn, why did her whole body kill? ”Ouch…” Okay, she wanted to go back to sleep now. As she tried to move, she realized one very crucial, but previously overlooked, detail. She was bound… Pulling at the restraints, she flinched, her body protesting.
Great…. Rory’s ‘friends’ had kidnapped her.
”Fantastic…” Up until now, she hadn’t even looked around to see where she was, what was happening, or who was even there. She knew they were moving, of course. But other than that clueless. Finally, she looked, but she didn’t seem to notice the ghosts. No, she’d spotted the familiar white skull that was painted on Rory’s mask…. She froze.

The more that Rory thought about it, the more he realized that Freya coming to the jail effectively shattered every single plan that Rory had after this point. He had planned everything from being being captured, to getting into to he helicopter, all the way down the line to getting Darkside himself. Now however, things had to change. There was no way Freya was going to survive a direct assault against Darkside and his armies. Then again, neither could he, it was intended to be a suicide mission because only a suicide mission would bring him down. Fortunately, Rory was trained to adapt and switch up his plans on the fly. So while he could no longer do what he intended, he was already coming up with a new strategy.
This strategy would have to be formed step by step rather than having everything planned out as before... But it had to work, otherwise both he and Freya would die. There was no way he was going to let them hurt her anymore... As Freya jerked awake with the adrenaline Rory couldn't help but smirk a little, it was good to see she still had her spitfire attitude. Then she saw him and her entire demeanor change. This was going to be a very, very awkward flight.
"Look at that, the wall flower is awake." The ghost said as he leaned over Freya, causing Rory to jerk at his bindings once more. He had to get out of this, they weren't going to kill Freya; but if he didn't help her soon, she would be begging for death.
"It's been a long time since I had any fun... May I?" The ghost who gave Freya the injection of adrenaline spoke, looking up at the first ghost, they all sounded the same; cold metallic voices slightly different from Rory's.
"Lay a finger on her and I will rip out your heart." Rory's voice snapped out like the crack of a whip.
The head ghost stared at Rory for a minute, "Proceed." The man said coldly. The ghost that was kneeling down by Freya flipped her onto her back and straddled her. Grabbing the top of her shirt the ghost began to pull it down, causing it to rip slightly. Rory was shaking he was so angry, but he had to remain calm, he had to carry through with the plan, he couldn't attack yet. The moment would come soon enough, and so it did as the head ghost began walking toward Rory, the man's mask began to melt away from his face. When it did it revealed features that looked... almost exactly like Rorys, "I think Rory is going to want to watch thi-"
Before the man could finish Rory lunged forward, slamming his head into the Ghost Commanders jaw, hitting him so hard that it knocked him across the helicopter bay and against the far wall. Rory had snapped the ropes that bound him to his seat, but his arms were still pinned to his torso by several large metal bands. He had use of his legs, and nothing more.
Without another moment of hesitation slammed his foot into the mans head that was on top of Freya, knocking him off and slamming him into the other four ghosts, knocking them all to the wall. They were all master assassins, but even assassins could be taken by surprise. Not wasting the element of surprise that he used on them, he jumped over Freya and slammed his shoulder against a small control panel on the opposite side of the helicopter. When he did, the helicopters side doors rolled open... The side doors that five of the ghost had fallen against. With how fast the helicopter was moving, and the sudden change in cabin pressure, all five of the ghosts were sucked out of the cabin.
Rory turned to see where the commander was, but it seemed the commander had gotten his bearings as Rory was blindsided and tackled to the floor. Rory had to admit, these pilots were very skilled. They had been rocking the helicopter back and forth, fighting, and changing the pressure in the cabin and the two pilots managed to keep it steady. That was an achievement.
Rory and the commander rolled across the floor of the helicopter, locked together in a fight. Despite the lack of use of his arms, Rory was actually winning against the man who looked almost exactly like him. However, what he didn't know was that the co-pilot was stepping out of the cockpit and began walking back toward the two fighting. Slowly pulling out a sword that was sheathed on his back. Up front, the pilot put the helicopter on auto-pilot and stepped out into the bay of the helicopter as well, whipping out a stun rod and both began to move slowly and carefully toward Rory and their commander, but completely ignoring Freya on the floor. Rory was able to fight those six ghosts simply because he caught them unaware, now two ghosts who weren't surprised like the others, were about to catch him unaware. Rory didn't know it, but his plan was falling apart, he just simply wasn't good enough at being an armless fighter...

This was an absolutely perfect day. First, Rory locks her in their room, charges out to take the blame for the gas line explosion, completely breaks her heart, gets her kidnapped, mildly tortured, and now, to top it all off, it looked like he just might have to watch as she was taken advantage of. Yup. A fantastic day, to say the least. Getting out of bed had been a really bad idea…
Freya, hearing what Rory had to say, glanced at him once more. Of course she was still upset, incredibly upset. But his reaction… It was contradicting. It almost sounded like he…. Cared? Without any intention, her eyes silently said ‘You don’t care about me, remember?’. Still, the pain was plain as day. It was surprising none of the ghosts had picked up on it.
Thankfully, or sadly, whichever you preferred to use, it seemed she didn’t have the time to focus too much on how Rory had broken her heart into a million pieces. No, she was kind of busy dealing with a guy on top of her, slowly pulling at the fabric of her shirt. ”Ruin that, you owe me a new one.” It wouldn’t surprise Rory that she was still her ‘normal’ self, even with her current predicament. It took a lot more then this to shake her nerves… Though Rory should get a round of applause for already doing that once today.
Then, all hell broke loose, everything happening faster then she could blink. Apparently she wasn’t the only one taken by surprise, which was kind of a relief. Still, she was left trying to figure out what had just happened. The man that had been on top of her was gone, as were four others. The helicopter side doors were wide open, so it wasn’t that hard to figure out where they’d gone. And when she spotted Rory and…. Rory? She blinked, positive her mind was playing tricks on her. She was seeing double. Okay… She now understood why Rory had been so confused when he met Tari without his memories.. Still… Why did he look like Rory?!
God, she was just confusing herself even more, and that really wasn’t an option right now. Because, two more suited men came charging back, the pilot and co-pilot she assumed. With the scuffle going, she couldn’t tell which was the real Rory, but knew he wouldn’t be able to handle three at once, especially when two had weapons.
Rolling out of the way, she scanned the helicopter for something, anything, she could use to at least even the odds a bit. She paused though, suddenly realizing that…. She was actually wanting to help Rory? Why? After what he’d done, he deserved this! Still… She couldn’t bring herself to sit quietly. Dammit, even heartbroken she still loved him…
In one of the corners were…. Oh, look, her favorite new toys. Stun rods. Fighting her restraints, she inched her way towards the stockpile. Ignoring the rope burns, she finally managed to get a hand free, quickly followed by the other- She’d regret the decision later when she had to tend to the rope burns, but right now, seeing as she had plenty of adrenaline coursing through her veins, pain was an easy thing to ignore when you had bigger problems. Grabbing the closest stun rod, she forced herself to her feet, and rammed the end into the nearest man’s back, who happened to be the other fellow with a stun rod. It was already on, and like the last time she managed to get her hands on a stun rod, she didn’t turn it off.

Training, that was all Rory did when he entered the Agency so many many years ago. For almost five years straight he did nothing but train. At first, he was beaten at almost everything he did, but eventually Darkside began to mold Rory, cutting off his rough edges; shaping him into the perfect killing machine. He had trained to fight in everything from total darkness to underwater, but for the life of him he couldn't ever remember a lesson of "how to fight with your legs when your arms are bound". It was a wonder how that didn't end up in the training manual...
Either way, Rory was able to use what he knew to hold off the commander who was more than a little shook up from Rory's first attack. The man was so shook up that he hadn't even put his helmet back on... he hadn't put his helmet back on! Immediately Rory had a plan, probably his only option of making it out of this alive. As they rolled across the ground the commander suddenly broke away from Rory, jumping back to his feet. Rory himself got into a kneeling position, then up to his feet. The commander had blood running out of his nose and a blood lust in his eyes, without warning he charged at Rory, but Rory was ready.
Rory made a feint, acting as if he was going to kick the commander but instead slammed his head forward into the commanders head again, knocking them man back against the bay wall. Then Rory charged forward, his head lowered like a charging rhino, and slammed his head into the commanders once more, pinning the man to the wall with his knee. After the initial blow, Rory didn't stop, he continued to pound his helmeted head against the commanders bare face.
To someone who was just watching it probably looked as though Rory was head banging, and in fact, he was. Slamming his head harder and harder against the commanders, bones began to crack loudly and blood spurted everywhere. Rory didn't stop, even as his visor got covered with blood, blinding him, he continued to pin the man to the wall and bash in his head.
On the other side of the bay, unknown to Rory, his love was putting up a better fight than he would have ever imagined considering she had no powers. As soon as her stun rod touched the Ghost his body began spasming, then slumped over, Fstill standing; like a statue, still gripping the stun rod but unable to move. Freya had held the rod on the man so long that she overloaded the suits circuits, effectively overloading it, frying the man inside, and disabling the suit in one move. The last remaining ghost wasn't about to be taken by surprise like his friend though.
The Ghost turned on his heel, slashing diagonally upward with tremendous force across Freya's body. He was attempting to completely cut her in half, or if blocked, at least knock the baton out of her hands. The man assumed she probably had no skill with fencing, or fighting, most Omega's who lost their powers didn't. So without her "God-Killing" lover, he figured her to be a sitting duck... Or so he thought.

There were effectively two fights going on in the small space of the helicopter, absolutely amazing that neither seemed to get in the way of the other. Not to mention, at least two of those involved (Namely Rory and Freya) seemed absolutely oblivious to the other fight going on. Or…. Maybe Rory was aware that Freya was trying to even the odds, just didn’t feel like pitching in. He was, after all, fighting his ‘double’.
Freya smirked slightly, stepping way from the ghost, and rather proud of her handy work. It was a little twisted, but last time she’d killed one of them, she’d had Rory’s help. At least this time it was all on her own. Sure, she’d taken him by surprise, but who cared about the details? Her time to gloat was cut short though, as the second man was zeroing in on her. Well, that wasn’t supposed to happen…. Initially, the whole plan had been taking them out while they were distracted trying to deal with Rory.
Before anything happened, Freya knew…. This was going to hurt.
As if she hadn’t gone through enough abuse already…
Stumbling back, she was taken completely off guard by his sudden attack. Actually, it wasn’t just the speed of his attack that stunned her, but also the force. In one swoop he managed to rip her only weapon away and leave a rather nasty cut along the stomach. It wasn’t serious… As long as they took care of the wound. Freya was in serious trouble if her ‘knight in shining armor’ didn’t come to her rescue.

Brutality was a specialty of Rory's, in fact, some have said the word brutal was invented for him. When you made Rory mad he could get more violent than any seriel killer, and even more brutal. There were few things that could ever make Rory that angry though, unfortunately hurting a loved one was number one on the list... and Freya was a loved one.
That being said, it was almost understandable why Rory continued to pummel the commanders face long after he had been killed. Blood was sprayed across the wall of the helicopter, covering the front of Rory's suit and his helmet was completely red now because of it. Yet still, he continued to slam his head into the commanders.
After several minutes Rory finally stopped, or rather, was forced to stop because his own head couldn't take anymore even with the helmet on. Rory staggered away, much like a drunk, finally revealing the damage he had done to the man. The commanders face was completely caved in and unrecognizable. The mans jaw was hanging off his face, one eye had rolled out of it's socket due to having no socket left, and the other was completely gone. It was a gruesome sight.
Rory himself was having a hard time standing, the front of his helmet was so coated with thick blood and shredded bone that he couldn't see a thing. Add onto that his head was spinning from headbanging so much, and you had a man that was barely standing. He staggered left, then backward, then right, then forward as if there was an earthquake; yet the chopper was perfectly still.
As he staggered forward he ran into something hard, and fell to the ground, unable to get up as the world spun around him, "Ugh... Nobody wins in a headbutt." A voice could be heard through the blood drenched helm.
~~~~~
The ghost grinned underneath his helmet as he saw the stun rod fly from the woman's hand and the gash appear in her clothes and skin. He was right, absolutely no fighting experience. Not only did he cut her, but left her completely defensless. The man knew his orders though, someone as powerful as this Elensar was to be taken alive... However, mum was the word on the condition she needed to be in.
With that in mind, the man raised the blade overhead and slashed downward at Freya. Just as he nearly completed his swing though, something slammed very hard into his ribs, staggering him. The Ghost lost his balance and fell backwards. Unfortunately for him, backwards meant out of the open helicopter door and so the man fell to his doom, never knowing who (or what) did him in...
