The large headquarters were hidden away in the middle of the city. It rested at one corner and was a neighbor with an old fashioned grocery store. Luckily the grocery store was closed because the group would surely get loud tonight. The front door led to a lobby, with a receptionist desk, which could be taken down the hall to a few offices or through a set of double doors. Through those doudble doors was where the rally would start in only an hour. Workers were busily moving about making sure the refreshments and decorations were in order. The room was like a large ballroom, with a wide floor area, some seating towards and edges, and a stage for the speakers to reside.
Graydon was tense. Tonight would be the first night he spoke to his people since the announcement that he would run for president. While he knew it was pretty much impossible for a third party to win the presidency, it would be enuogh press and attention that he could get his message out. Maybe even influence that Yates fellow a bit as well.
But for now Graydon waited in the back rooms of the rally hall. Sitting on a couch with one arm drapped over the back, he would relax. As much as he could relax. He was always tense.

Artemis yanked a flyer from the wall and frowned when he saw that the hate was spreading. He was just happy he could pass for human since otherwise New York would become a bit harder to live in. But since he could blend in, might as well stir up some trouble.
“All it takes is one passionate speaker to turn a rally into a riot.” Artemis said but with the voice of Senator Yates.
His previous phone call with Senator Yates gave him enough verbal input for him to mimic it well enough for these people. His family or close colleagues could probably tell the difference or think he was sick but these people, they barely knew the man so they wouldn’t hear any difference in his speaking patterns. Copying the tones and pitch were easy, it took a decent amount of verbal input though for him to understand their word choice and speaking patterns.
He then ripped the flyer down and began to walk toward where the rally would be. He would wait for this Graydon man to talk before stealing the spotlight and stir this powder keg into a firestorm of hatred.
“Let’s see if we can get these people taking to the street.”
Won’t be my fault if they died from mutants defending themselves. he added mentally as he walked.

Jamie had been walking around town when she saw the flyer she looked at it and almost squeak she was so happy she was going. No one was going to stop her form going to that edvent she wasn't a mutant hatter by any means but she was sure that there would be some fun things said at this edvent and it would be new worthy.
Jamie dressed in a pair of dress pants a button up gray blouse and a pair of sunglasses that she wore on top of her head and a brown jacket she had a note book and in her bag she had her recorder to record the hole event and a camera just in case she got a good seat and could take some pitchers and a small gun that she always keep with her just in case something happen it was better to be save then sorry.
Jamie found a seat that was in the front row she was bubbling with excitement her notebook out and one her lap as she weighted for others to sit down. she turned on her recorder as the speaker spoke this was going to be a story maybe not a good story but people who couldn’t make it would want to know what happened hear to night. And who knew maybe something surprising would happen.

Night Wolf wasn't happy when he saw the flyers about this anti-mutant group having a rally. What made the situation even worse was the fact that it was the group that he had heard some of those gang members he had 'questioned' mentioned they had done some jobs for. This group had secretly hired the gang to hunt down mutants and have them destroy property, attack people, and all kinds of things to increase the tense between humans and mutants and to increase support for their cause. It was people like this that he hated the most. Night had come to the rally and looked around to see where he might want to sit down at. As he was looking around, he smelt a scent that was very familiar to him. It seemed that Jamie had seen the flyers as well and had shown up to report on it. He didn't like the idea of her being here since he knew other mutants were likely to show up and do something and he didn't want her caught up in it. He found her and sat next to her.
Jamie didn't seem to even notice how he had sat next to her or that anyone had sat next to her. Night took on a wolfish grin and was glad he hadn't said anything to her when he had sat down, because now he had a chance to mess with her. He gently wrapped his arm around her waist and leaned in slow to her ear. He said to her in a seductive whisper as he suddenly squeezed her waist, " Hey there beautiful. What say you and I head to your place?"

Alice wasn’t at the rally because she wanted to go. No, she was here… Because of that conversation last night with the man who called himself Sabretooth. She wanted to see humanities true nature. So, here she was, following the directions on the flyer. Getting in wasn’t a problem, someone even shook her head (forced, actually), going on about the younger generation showing interest. Other than that…. Alice was completely ignored. No one seemed to realize, or care, that the teenager was there.
Her dark sunglasses were both fashionable and a necessity(though no one but anyone that knew her would even consider the second). Her baseball cap, the same.
She wandered, trying to decide where to sit before anything started. During her search… She ended up spotting Night in the process, and scowling. What the hell was he doing here? Son of a…. The girl was really holding a grudge against him. No, she wasn’t going to talk to him, look at him, let him know she was there. She didn’t want him meddling in her life anymore. She’d had more than enough of that for a life time.
With her thought rant over, she found a place in the back, sitting by herself and trying to look as inconspicuous as possible. She was succeeding, because before long an elderly man had taken the seat next to her. Well, at least her company made her look less awkward and more like a reluctant granddaughter that had been forced to come.

James found himself at the rally, more out of a vested interest in people's safety then anything else. The 'Mutant Crisis' had people in a frenzy, the country was already in the grips of a second civil rights movement. This, however could turn out far more deadly then the first.
James had taken a passing interest in Creed after his announcement to become president. No one who runs as a third-party candidate expects to actually win the election, they run for president to get attention. A cursory google search told James all he really needed to know about Graydon Creed:
Antimutant to some of the most extreme degrees. He was clearly there to spread his antimutant agenda to the mass media. It was deplorable to say the least, preying on people's fears and segregating the population based on genetic traits, but who was to say that this Creed guy wasn't genuine about it? He could honestly believe the ignorant, misinformed, twisted ideals that he stood for. And, James supposed he had a right to voice them...first amendment and all....
Regardless, James wasn't really here for political reasons, he was just here to make sure no one got hurt. The chances of an angry mob breaking out were high, and he, well he supposed at least that he could do a lot to breakup a mob...being that a mob mentality was often much more instinctual then intellectual strategic illusions in the right places should, hopefully keep things under control, but hopefully it wouldn't come to that.
James stayed in the back of the room, invisible, surveying it gradually, while he had his double take a seat near the front, now he just had to sit and listen to a few hours of hate speech...joy.

Jamie being at a good spot set up her camera and pressed the record button on that as well she smiled checking everything off in her head making sure she had everything she needed not really aware of what was going on around she didn’t see Night sit down next to her she knew someone did but it didn’t matter as long as they weren’t load so she chould pick up the speeker with her recorder. Jamie looked at her phone for the time there was still a few minutes to spare
Suddenly she felt someone wrapped there arm around her and started to whisper in her ear in a very seductive voice then than squeeze her she jumped reaching for her bag, for her pepper spray that she normmaly kept in there she lived in New York why whouldn’t she kept pepper spray in her bag. She pulled it out and aimed it at the man before she realized it was Night. Luckily for him she didn’t spray him “ Jho……Night what are you doing hear last I checked you where off somewhere” she hissed at him “Night you shouldn’t be hear”.
She let him explain why he was hear and nodded. Then she smiled at him realizing that he still had a hold of her waist “and don’t worry we’ll go to my place just after the meeting”

Night Wolf laughed at what she had just said to him. It was a good thing he actually did live with her and knew she was teasing him since she just told him they would go to her place after this while his arm was still around her waist. He removed his arm from around her waist and looked at where the speaker was going to speak from. He didn't think that this guy knew anything about the dealings between the FoH and the gang, but that didn't mean he wasn't aware of it happening. He had learned some about politicians and he knew they always had other people do their dirty work for them and made it so they could deny any involvement. What he didn't like though was the number of mutants he could smell mixed in with this crowd. There were many familiar scents, a few friendly ones that he couldn't say for sure who they were due to how mixed with all the other scents they had become and many from some mutants he had smelt from the gang but had yet to run into. This rally looked like it could turn ugly quickly and he needed to make sure he got Jamie to safety when it did at least.
Night leaned over and whispered into Jamie's ear, " Don't be alarmed, but there are several mutants mixed in with the crowd. I can't make out any exactly since there are so many, but I want you to make sure I can get you out of here the second things turn ugly."

Luke was at the Rally, in the back of his mind wondering if it would be just another mutant hate rally. It was much bigger than the rally at his school. Casually looking for seats he ended up sitting in the back next to girl with a baseball cap and sunglasses. After all he didn't want to be near a crowd if things got messy, and with the location, and atmosphere of this place it was bound to be. He had gotten the hang of his powers now and was ready to use them at a moments notice.
He was sweating this place brought back memories to him, he had been in a situation like this before the atmosphere of the place was quite reminiscent of the time. But the this was different these people were not children if there was a riot people could get hurt. Why do people hate mutants, philosophical and ethical questions like this didn't matter at this point it was going to start soon, and if no-one else dared to speak the truth, and dared too raise the question why, would he? That was ultimately the only question that mattered to him at the time, and his only answer was, I don't know.

When the rally finally started there were cheers and speeches. Everyone that ever reached the podium to speek did not leave without stating hateful words about mutants. And ninety five percent of the crowd agreed.
It wasn't until ten that Graydon's introduction was finally made. Leaving the best for last, Graydon finally walked up onto the stage with a smile and a wave to the crowd. The presidental theme playing while he made his way to the podium.
"My fellow Humans. How did you feel when you woke up this morning? Energized? Ready to seize the day? If you felt like that...well then I'm glad. Everyone needs to feel that way. Unfortunately none of us really can feel that way. Why? Because there is a menace out there on our streets. A menace that can't be stopped even by our own honest self-sacrificing police force. That menace are mutants. Have you heard of them? Of course you have. But did you know that they can walk through walls? They could steal your house right from under your nose with such abilities. And there are the ones that can read your mind, even control your very movements! How are we to feel safe with such monstrosities on the streets?
That is why I will make sure we get the most important laws passed when I become President of this Nation. There will be mutant registration, and each mutant will live in a supervised district of this country, if not deported completely. Let them run. But wait a moment my friends." He rose his hand to quiet down the crowd. "We also have a secret weapon." Graydon pulled out a metallic loop from his pocket. "This is a power suppressor. Each registered mutant will be required to wear these, so that we can all feel safe in our own homes again!"
He smirked as he gained the roar of cheers from the crowd around him. Though after a moment he noticed there was a little bit of a disturbance in the crowd...

As the applause and cheering slowed, one distinct and loud clap could be heard from the crowd. In the back a few people turned and moved out of the way as a gray haired man took a step forward coming to full view.
“Very well done Mr. Creed. May I have the stage?” he asked as he walked forward taking the podium at the front.
The man looked just like Senator Garland Yates and he sounded nearly identical to him as well. Artemis snuck in with the crowd and with a bit of light manipulation it was easy to appear as something he wasn’t. He rose the mic up and made it level with his face before speaking.
“I am here to speak to all of you much like my fell politician Gradyon Creed has. I am here to speak to you all about the danger of mutants. I will not speak to you of the clear danger because you are not stupid men and women. You understand the danger of a mutant who can shoot sharp knives out of their hands, freeze anything around them, create fire out of nothing, or toss a car a mile. The collars my colleague suggested would take keep us safe but first we would have to find them. What I have come to talk to you about is the secret mutant menace. These are the groups we need the mutant control laws for.”
“Many mutants can pass for normal humans. Some only need the help of a large coat, sunglasses, or hat.” When he said this he stared right at Alice with her baseball cap and glasses. “We need to fund the wider use of portable device that will let use easily detect if someone has the X-gene and is a mutant and we need to build devices similar to our modern day metal detectors that will be stations at the entrance to every public airport and other important places. If we cannot detect them, we cannot control them. We will not be safe until they can no longer hide among us like the plague fleas lived among all of Europe!”
“I ask you! How well do you know the people even within this rally! Always suspect those closest to you for those are the ones that will be the most dangerous. Who knows what a mutant will do to keep their identity as such a secret! You! Young girl why do you wear such dark glasses indoors! Take them off yourself if you dare! What do you hide behind them? Are your eye’s only slits like a cat!? Or are they a soulless black like all mutant souls if they indeed have souls!” the last bit he again directed at Alice and the old man next to her turned to her and waited for her to take off the glasses.
He stopped then and took a step back from the mic observing the chaos he was producing. The people were starting to argue among themselves. He found that paranoia was one of the easiest things to spread among a crowd of people. It happened in the Cold War era with McCarthy and it can happen again easily.

While Graydon was in the middle of his speech Victor had made his way into the room. He lingered at the back of the room, not wanting to really make that many waves...just yet. Graydon knew what he looked like after all, so it wouldn't take long before he'd surely call attention to him in some manner. But if he could mingle in with the crowd then that would just make the look on Graydon's face that much sweeter.
Victor arched a brow as an older man brushed passed him and went onto the stage. He thought he recognized that scent...
The crowd started to grow uneasy with the new man's speech. This was going to be good. Victor did notice that the poor girl that was singled out had been the girl he proded at to be here at the rally. Good. He let out a loud laugh as Yates stopped speaking, mainly to get attention from the crowd for himself.
He walked forward and down the aisle of the seats, feeling all of the crowd's eyes staring at him and of course the look of absolute horror on Graydon's face.
"Detect mutants all you like. It wont save you. Or...you.." His gaze purposefully turned to Graydon. While he was looking for a good chance to get rid of a chunk of mutant bashers...he really just wanted to rip his own son to shreds. And just before the shock of his words alone hit the crowd he jumped forward, leaping towards the stage. The large leap alone would be a clue of his own mutant origin.

To be honest…. Alice was shocked at what the humans were saying, and it took a lot to shock the girl! After her initial shock wore off though…. She was just angry. So angry, she almost stood up right then and there. But where was the fun in that? No, it wasn’t until she was actually singled out…
Of course, like anyone, she was surprised to be singled out, but the insanity inside the girl told her this would be fun. She didn’t act phased, slowly reaching up to pull off the glasses. Her eyes were the normal, blue green shade they naturally were… But… There was a mad fire behind them, and not just angry mad…. After a moment though, she smirked. ”Oh, right. You wanted the soulless black. Sorry, forgot for a minute.”
Just like that, her eyes turned solid black, soulless black as he called it. It wasn’t the ‘Senator’ she was looking at though, she’d spotted Victor Creed, Sabretooth as she knew him, laughing and approaching the stage. The look she gave him basically said she now believed everything he’d told her. And seeing as he was going to have his fun…. She might as well. The old man next to her was ripped from his seat, sent flying into the rows infront of them, a shadow slowly seeping back onto the ground from throwing the man.

Night Wolf listened to all of the people coming up and speaking hate against mutants. Nothing they had said truly surprised him or got his attention until it got to the last two men. Graydon would be a problem, he had the qualities of someone who could get people to do irrational things. And then that Yates fellow, Night couldn't say why but something seemed off about him. He had listened to him and wasn't pleased to hear about that collar or about the devices that detected mutants. Those devices had made his life hard with that gang and he didn't like the thought of them being mass produced and easy for anyone to get their hands on. He was thinking of saying something when he smelt a dangerous scent and someone speak. His instinct told him that this man was very dangerous, but he had a problem, Jamie was sitting next to him and he had to keep her safe. He watched as the man leaped up at the Graydon fellow. He didn't have any reason to do anything to stop this man he knew would be extremely dangerous, but things might get much worse if he killed that guy.
Night quickly traveled onto the stage, pushing the Graydon fellow out of the way and into that Yates guy knocking them both back. He braced himself to take the impact of the kitty man hitting him with the leap and used the force of his fall and the leap to throw him backwards towards the wall with his legs. Night had his breath knocked out of him and his chest hurt from the leap and he had taken several cuts from the man's claws. They were razor sharp and he was lucky he wasn't cut deeper then he had been. He quickly got himself back up onto his feet with his revolver in hand. He wasn't looking forward to this fight since he had lost the advantage of surprise when he saved that worthless anti-mutant hater's life. He knew he was going to regret this move later on.

O things where getting good she was just loving this the speeches where lovely way ani-mutant both of them and then with this other mutant coming in the room and then Yates targeting the little girl and her freaking out Night jumping in and saving the speaker, Jamie’s hart was racing this is what she lived for she was jotting down notes as fast as she could taking in everything around her.
It was hard with stuff going on behind her and stuff going on in front of her Jamie tough quickly realized that the safest place was not sitting down so she grabbed her bag and the camera and moved to a corner of the room so she could not only see the stage but also could see the back of the room.
It was then that Jamie realized that her recorder was not going to get the words of everyone in the back as good as it was there were too many people in the room. So she moved along the wall leaving her camera and notebook behind as she was trying to find a good spot for her voice recorder so she could pick it up latter with out getting in the way of the freaky little girl who was well throwing chairs and people Jamie didn’t really want to be thrown across the room.
