Reaching up to put the binder she was holding back on the shelf where it belonged, Yuki once again found herself in the infirmary. Yuki often found herself spending a lot of her free time here since her mutant power involved healing others, plus the professors thought that if she spent time down here it would help her overcome her shyness. It wasn’t working. She is still as shy as she was when she started volunteering her two years ago. It was good in theory; it was thought that she would have to interact with the people she was healing. Although in practice it didn’t really work since Yuki was never one to start up conversation and they usually just sat in silence while she healed whatever injury it was that the student acquired. The times that conversation did come up Yuki would either freeze or look away stuttering.
After putting the binder away Yuki turned to get the other one, she was helping organize the files, when she realized that this one would be on the top shelf. Yuki let out a sigh sometimes she hated being short, this was one of those times. She was busy debating over if she should just go and get a step ladder or just leave it for someone else to take care of that she didn’t hear when someone entered the room…..

It had been sometime since the Beast had walked through the halls of the mansion. He had been away on business with the Avengers and just hadn't had time to visit. But now there were more pressing matters. The mutant plague. It worried him that this plague was going to escalate before it got any better.
And there was no time like the present. He didn't even bother to drop his bag off at his room before he found himself in the infirmary. Curiousity compelled him to see how hard the school had been hit with this disease. Though when he entered it seemed rather quiet.
When he noticed Yuki sifting through the files he smiled and approached her. He didn't know her so he kept a good distance away in an attempt not to frighten her. "Excuse me...but is the head nurse in?" This infirmary being on the main floor he assumed they still called the person a school nurse. "Oh and forgive me, my name is Henry McCoy. But you can call me Hank if you like. Or Dr. McCoy...whichever you prefer really." He was rambling slightly and had to stop himself into a mere smile. Sometimes he could get carried away.
When Yuki would finally look his way she would see the rather broad blue furred man. And while intimidating looking he had the softest kind expression on his face that probably ever existed. He was also dressed in a business suit, that while tailored for him seemed to be a bit stuffy and he didn't seem all too comfortable in it either.

Yuki froze. Her body tensing up, and she nearly dropped the binder she had been trying to put away when she heard someone come up behind her and actually start to speak to her, normally she just blended into the background and people more less didn’t even notice that she was there. Though since there wasn’t anyone else in the infirmary there couldn’t really be anyone else for him to speaking to, it was one of the reasons she had volunteered to put the medical files away. She had needed something to do, and since there hadn’t been anyone that needed to be healed there was little chance that she would actually have to interact with someone, or so she thought.
Trying to stop herself from hyperventilating Yuki waited for her brain to start processing thoughts again, and the first thing that popped into her head when she could finally think clearly was to bolt. All she wanted to do in that moment was head for the nearest exit and avoid this whole situation altogether, but her legs were refusing to listen to her head and were refusing to move, trapping her where she was. Trying to take some deep breaths, they weren’t really helping, Yuki turned to face the person who was talking to her, head bowed with her bangs hiding her eyes and wishing more then anything that the floor would come up and swallow her. “A-a-a-no I-I-I’m not s-sure.” Her voice was so quiet that if you weren’t paying close attention you wouldn’t have known that she had spoken at all.

Well it was a good thing he had animal like hearing as well. Though he did end up frowning slightly to the reaction he received. He wasn't sure if that was from over all shyness or the fact that he was a rather odd blue person. But that frown turned into a smile again, "Oh well thats no matter I'm sure I'll catch up with the staff later. Do you know if anyone has contracted the illness yet?"
The girl seemed to have problems speaking which could be from her shyness or an actual speech impediment..he wasn't sure. But he wasn't going to pry at her as much as continue conversation as he placed his bag down and wandered over to the nurse's desk. He peered at some of the files there pulling out a pair of glasses and placing them on his nose as he looked. He was hoping that there weren't many infected yet. If he could study it fast enough maybe he could prevent the true cause of the disease. He could only imagine what heartless being could devise such a way to try and cripple the mutant population.

Yuki was planning on taking her chance to escape as soon as she finished answering his question, though she had to quickly rethink this when he started asking her more questions. ‘He was still talking to me.’ ‘He wasn’t going away, which was what most people did when they talked to her. Hadn’t what she had already said been enough? Apparently not, since he was continuing asking her questions.’ Were the thoughts going through her mind.
Yuki’s body, which had started to relax in preparation to get the heck out of there, tensed once more and was quite possibly more tense then it had been when he had first spoken to her. Her breathing also started to quicken, and she was most likely on her way to a panic attack.
Continuing to keep her head down and her eyes hidden Yuki was hoping that maybe if she stayed quiet long enough he would maybe stop trying to talk to her and she could leave without having to speak more then she already had, but after a couple of minutes she knew that he wasn’t going to be going anywhere.
Struggling to take deep breaths Yuki tried to muster up the courage to answer his question. “I-ie oh, ah I mean no.” Her voice was still as painfully quiet as the first time he had asked her, maybe even more so.

His eyes turned up to look at her for a long moment. It seemed like she was going to explode if she didn't get a way out of there. Henry only smirked and then looked back at the paper work he was eavesdropping upon. He wasn't necessarily prying, just trying to see if there were any cases of the mutant plague.
"Well thank you my dear, I'll clean up here. Why don't you go and enjoy some time off." Well it wasn't a very good excuse but it was one that he was giving her. She could leave and he could stay to watch over the place. It wouldn't be the first time he had to do the filing in this area and what not.
In fact for a long while he was the one that was completely in charge of the medical areas for the institute. How things change. And naturally for the better. He would have to visit Charles and find out what things have changed while he was away. With someone in charge to medical issues now he would have plenty of time to sit in the lab and find out how a disease could localize itself to mutants alone.
