Ruarí Ághas
Basic information...
Birth name: Ruarí Ághas (English: Rory Ashe)
Alias: Phantom
Gender: Male
Age: Actual age is nearly impossible to tell, appears to be around 28, some have guessed his true age to be around 90 to 120 years old. Though he could be far older, or far younger.
Birthday: Unknown, though Rory has always felt it was some time in May.
Appearance...
Celebrity claim: Chris Evans
Appearance: Roughly 6'2" and weighing nearly 210 pounds, he isn't the type of person most people expect to be fast and agile. He has a stout, athletic build with quite a bit of muscle definition making it obvious he is a very fit person. He has brown/blonde hair and hazel eyes, and what one could describe as a very gentle and friendly face, accented be an almost permanent 4'o clock shadow. Has the word "cóir" tattooed on his left bicep, and an intricate Gaelic design going down his right shoulder to the middle of his forearm.
Identity...
Personality: Generally Rory is an incredibly laid-back person. He has a very dry sense of humor, and a very dark sense of humor as well. This is generally shown no matter the situation, whether he is simply relaxing with friends or faced with certain death. More often than not, it is his form of a coping mechanism, sort of a way to keep sane when surrounded by insanity. Though, because his sense of humor is so dry, many can't catch the humor in it at all and often mistake him for trying to insult them or the situation. For those who are able to pick up on it, though, it becomes very obvious very fast that there is rarely a moment when he isn't being incredibly sarcastic or joking.
While not quiet, he isn't exactly a talker either. He prefers to wait, watch, and listen before opening his mouth and possibly saying something stupid. That coupled with his extremely dry sense of humor lead some to believe that he is a bit cold and uncaring. To some extent they would be right, because of the lack of compassion he has been shown throughout his life it isn't common for Rory to show any. He has been betrayed so often that it has turned him into the very thing he despises; a liar, cheat, and backstabber.
Rory is likely one of the best liars anyone has met. Not only in the skilled way he is able to manipulate his words and the words of others, but in how he is able to act as well. He can take on the role of nearly anyone, from a common street bum to a high class business man. It is why he has always been able to so easily evade capture, blending in with a crowd or standing out whenever he wants.
Because he is able to lie so easily it is very easy for him to make friends, able to tell people exactly what they want to hear. If one is wise they would never let him get close to them, because the only reason Rory would ever show interest in becoming a friend is if he wants something. Unfortunately most people don't realize this until it is too late and Rory is long gone. That being said, it would also be wise for people to realize that he is always watching out for number one and no one else, ever.
In combat he is incredibly calm, cool, and collected, almost eerily so in fact. All emotions seem to disappear when he is fighting, though he still finds time to crack dry jokes somehow. He treats battle like a game of chess, only making minor moves, revealing very little of his combat ability, until he learns his opponents weakness. Then he strikes with full and methodical force, bringing down his enemy as quickly and effectively as possible. He treats life the same way he treats combat, always believing that everyone is his enemy, and so he is always watching for weakness and will never hesitate to use that weakness against them.
One aspect of his personality that often surprises people is his loyalty to the very, very few he calls friends. As much as Rory can be the worst enemy a person could have, he is possibly the best friend one could have as well. He constantly ensures that good friends and allies are taken care of and safe, always keeping an eye on them whether they know it or not. This is how Rory used to treat everyone long ago. He was a kind man, a compassionate man, and the type of person you could always trust and count on. Those days seem to be long gone though.
With that in mind it could probably be safe to say that Rory is one very complex, and unpredictable, person. Just when you think you have him figured out he will do something completely against his normal routine and leaving you to realize that you never did know him. Which also means that his true motives are unknown. Why he does the things he does, or what he is really after, are completely unknown to everyone but himself.
It is possible, though very unlikely, that the untrusting and unstable aspects of his personality could be removed by surrounding him with people who show him true compassion and love due to how dearly he respects friends. Though, that is just a theory, it is also possible that if surrounded by compassionate and loving people he could slaughter every one of them. It couldn't hurt to try, well actually it could, but if it did work and he became the man he once was long ago then you would have won over a very good ally.

Mutants…
Leave blank if you are human.
Power(s):
Resurrection: Rory's original power, and the cause of much strife for him. Resurrection is the name Rory gives the power, scientifically speaking it's actual term could be described as a latent healing factor. So long as Rory is alive, he can be wounded and hurt the same way as any human and take the same amount of time to heal. In a normal humans death, their brain can stay partially "active" for several hours after death. Though for a normal human this does nothing for them, it is simply a reaction in the body, much like cutting the head off a snake and the body still moving.
In Rory's case though, during the last few hours of neural activity, his brain activates a very powerful healing factor that has restored limbs, healed destroyed organs, and brought his body back to life. So in a sense, every time Rory is killed, he is brought back to life by this latent healing factor. It isn't instant though. While the healing is done quickly, the time it takes for Rory to awaken again can take anywhere from a few moments, to a few years; with his body remaining in a coma like state during that time. On average it takes between one to seven days to be "resurrected".
SECONDARY MUTATION
Human Perfection: Once again, this is the name of the mutation given by Rory. Scientifically speaking, again, it would more likely be called Peak Physical Attributes. Basically, every physical aspect of Rory is at the absolute peak of human levels, above Olympic level in some cases. He is able to lift almost 1 ton, run at nearly 30 miles per hour, and can push himself harder and longer than the average human. Not to mention his dexterity, agility, sight, hearing, and health are at peak human standards. As a side-effect of this power Rory almost never gets sick, and weak poisons have little effect on him.
Weakness(s):
Resurrection: The weaknesses for this power are fairly obvious. There is nothing about this power that could help him in a fight, or be a threat to other people. There is nothing about it that prevents him from being hurt or killed, just brought back after death. Because few have had the chance to thoroughly study his abilities, and even fewer have lived to kill him more than once, it is unknown how to truly kill Rory Ashe. It is known however that after his first "death" when he came back he appeared to be in his early teens. After each subsequent death, when he came back he was slightly older. So it is likely that eventually Rory could age enough that he will not be resurrected.
For those who don't want to wait that long to kill him, then the only viable option is to completely destroy his brain after killing him. Severing the head likely will not work in his case because the brain is still intact. However, something such as burning him, blowing him up, or a close shotgun blast to the head are all ways that he could be killed; so long as the brain is completely destroyed.
Human Perfection: Again the weaknesses are fairly obvious. Nothing about this power could stop him from being kill in the same way any other human could. The weakness for this particular power though is that every aspect of it is only at peak human standards. While some of it may seem superhuman, there is nothing about it that actually is "superhuman". Like a normal human, through constant working out and training he can get stronger and faster, but only at the rate that a normal human would.
General Weaknesses: Rory can be killed in almost the same way as any other person. While weak poisons and most diseases can't affect his heightened immune system, stronger and concentrated poisons still can. He can be shot, stabbed, run over, burned, frozen, or drowned just like any other person. More personal weaknesses for him are children, friends/family, his own personality, and his own powers. He absolutely refuses to harm a child and will go out of his way to protect a loved one, both of which can and have been used against him.
Due to his "watching out for number one" personality, it is hard for him to make true allies and even harder for people to trust him once they know him, which leaves him with almost no one can truly trust himself. Also, he is tired of not being able to die. Watching friends and family pass away from old age and not being able to do so himself has affected him psychologically and is likely the cause for his brutal personality. He even went through a stage of trying to kill himself, but unfortunately for him he would always come back. Some may view that ability to not be able to truly die as a blessing, but for Rory it is a curse that few could ever understand. Lastly, his naivety to the situation in the world right now makes it a bit dangerous for him as he could be recruited by people actually trying to help the world, or be lied to and join a group that is trying to destroy it.
Cause:
Resurrection: This power has been with Rory as long as he can remember. Since it isn't exactly an aggressive power, and more of a passive ability, it is unknown when exactly it manifested but he believes it was likely during puberty as most other mutants.
Human Perfection: This power was a forced secondary mutation, and was not part of his original powers. Some time after his 8th death (around the 1990's) he was enlisted (captured) in a government experimentation program trying to create "super soldiers". It is the reason why he doesn't remember his past, or remember exactly how he knows the skills he has. He does remember going into a white room and being strapped into a chair, then receiving several shots of some chemical. Afterwords he seemed to be stronger and faster than everyone else around him. When the scientists tried to use the chemical on other test subjects it simply killed them, making them realize that it wasn't the shot that made Rory into what he is now, but the chemicals in the shot that forced a secondary mutation.
Other...
Allegiance: As he has only recently awakened from a several year long coma, then spent most of his last few months hunting down and killing the people who killed him, he knows very little about what is going on in the world. As such, you could say he is still waiting to be discovered and recruited.
Anything else: Rory is trying to start a normal life and leave his past as an agent for the United States behind. He is working as a journalist/photographer for a newspaper in New York and doing what he does best, blending in and disappearing (this time from his old life though, and not from someone he is trying to kill).
