*Blackbriar heard Sky's permission before he knocked. Apparently she already knew about his coming and he opened the door.*

*When Black saw Rose, he immediately froze with his red eyes staring increduously at her*

Rose slowly glanced to the door, her eyes slightly narrowed. She was completely awake now, probably the thought of someone coming that she would 'know'. She would not be taken off guard. Her eyes slightly widdened when she recognized the person. That boy that had approached her at the school. The one Mairead had tried to attack, word went around the school rather fast. Her eyes narrowed once more as her anger suddenly flared, sky rocketing much faster then even Sky would have expected, much more intense then anyone would have expected from the self controled Rose.
"You...!"
Her power seemed to explode, with much more force behind it then Sky would have anticipated, much stronger then the weak block Sky had placed. A force field appeared around most the room, then expanded blindly fast, smashing into Blackbriar, and trying to crush him against the wall. Rose gritted her teeth, straining to keep the barrier up, she hadn't had enough time to recover from the fight. The barrier gave one last push against Blackbriar before dissolving. Rose gasped for breath, all the strength she had gained from being unconsious drained from the action. Her head swam slightly, but Rose quickly placed a hand onto the bed to steady herself.
"Mairead should have eaten you while she had the chance... Especially after what you did to Kolm and Rika..."

*Sky gave out a little snicker as she allowed Rose to crush Blackbriar against the wall, keeping Rose from actually killing him. After the barrier dissolved, Sky immediately went to Rose.*

*Blackbriar expected it. He didn't even try to fight back when Rose smashed him against the wall, feeling the air leaving his lungs. Black knew he deserved it and wanted to die. What kind of life was this anyway? he thought. But relief and disappointment flooded through him when he dropped to the floor. Black coughed and took in a few deep breaths. Then he heard what Rose said and it pierced his heart. All he could do was just look at the floor and wallow in self-loathing, not wanting to meet the young girl's gaze.*

Rose glared at Blackbriar for a moment, wanting to try and crush him again, but slowly her composure returned. She didn't have huge anger issues like most the family, in the sense that she wasn't always angry or easy to anger, but she did have fits when things went wrong, though her outbursts were always short. Rose's fits were much more like a child's tantrum then true anger. Though her age probably played into the why. She finally turned to her sister and wrapped her arms around her sister's waist and burried her face in Sky's shirt. She didn't want Blackbriar to hear what she said, so she thought it instead, knowing Sky would be listening to her thoughts.
"You guys sent him didn't you?"

*When Rose wrapped her arms around her, Sky wrapped one arm around her and had one hand on top of her head. Then she heard what Rose thought and hugged her tightly, guilt flooding through her*
Yes...I missed you and...Shadow wanted you back too. Shadow asked Blackbriar to get you, but I asked him not to harm you when he brought you back. But he ran away after the whole affair with the students at the school. I was about to come myself...but apparently...Cain beat me to it.
*Sky felt a surge of hatred towards Cain and for once, actually felt sorry for Blackbriar. Sky then patted Rose's head and then left to go over to Black*
Black? Blackbriar?

*Black just sat there. He knew he had a couple of broken ribs, but he didn't care. What was the point? Then Sky came up to him, which surprised him*
...Sky....Rose....I'm sorry.
*Black then looked at Rose, not knowing what to say. Blackbriar was a broken man*

Rose sniffed softly, shaking her head.
"Shadow doesn't want me back.... She'd rather have me dead. I'm the odd one, remember?"
She let go of her sister when Sky moved to go to Blackbriar. Slowly Rose's gazed wandered to Blackbriar and she was met by his apology. Suddenly her wild emotions shattered. She seemed to return to herself and realized what she had done. She'd hurt someone. It didn't matter that she'd been angry at the time, a wave a guilt and despair engulfed her as her eyes went wide. Sky knew Rose hated hurting people, she almost went into a shock if she did. She struggled off the bed and staggered over to Blackbriar, collasping to her knees next to him, her eyes still wide and beginning to brim with tears.
"I'm sorry.... I'm so sorry I hurt you..."
This was why Rose was the odd one in the family, the one that had always been picked on, and teased, and beat up. She couldn't handle violence very well unless it was training. If she hurt someone with no reason she shattered. If she hurt someone to protect another, she was fine. Carefully, she reached out and wrapped her arms around his shoulders and burried her face in his shoulder, trying to express just how sorry she really was.

*Black was suprised and froze when Rose started apologizing to him. He let out a chuckle and patted her on the head.*
Don't worry...I've had worse.
*He then looked at Sky. Ever since he ran away, Black felt he was closer to Sky then anyone.*
Sky...I'm sorry I didn't keep a closer eye on your sister. I'm sorry I didn't keep Cain away from her.

*Sky looked at Rose, feeling her pain of hurting someone else. She smiled sadly and went over to her and Black*
It's okay Ro-chan. Black's pretty tough, if I do say so myself. And I promise, once you're older, you'll be able to control your emotions better.
*When Black spoke to her, Sky nodded, accepting his apology. She had grown fond of Blackbriar and even had feelings for him, but she wasn't going to show it just yet*
I'll help the healing process for you.
*Sky convinced Black's brain to work faster in order to heal his body and took away his feeling of pain. She then turned to Rose again.*
You're safe here, for the time being.

Rose finally released Blackbriar, and quickly wipped her tears from her eyes, staring at the ground as she spoke.
"I was the one to provoke Cain... He was hurting people in New York... I had to stop him..."
Rose knew Sky didn't dig in her head, so Sky hadn't known how Cain had caught her. She didn't want them thinking Cain had just come and found her.... Rose had gone to him to try and stop him. She glanced to her sister when Sky mentioned her being safe for the time being, a look of disbelief on her face.
"Only as long as Shadow ignores me..."
They both knew Shadow, Shadow didn't ignore things for long. It wouldn't be to long now until Shadow probably showed up to 'punish' Rose.

*Sky heard Rose's thoughts about Cain and sighed. Her sister always risked her own well-being, even when the enemy was stronger than she was. Sky couldn't understand why Rose protected humans. But she mind-shrugged and turned her attention back to Rose's comment about Shadow and nodded darkly.*
I can make it less painful for you and I'll heal you afterwards.
*Sky knew that it was inevitable that Rose would be 'punished' by Shadow, but Sky was going to make sure that she was protected from most of the pain. She had learned to provoke the mind into healing the body faster than it usually does and could take away someone's pain or sense of touch.*

Rose stared at the ground for a moment, her mind running at 300 miles an hour, trying to find some sort of solution to everything. She didn't seem coherant for a moment, until finally she muttered something, a saying she had come up with when she'd left. It was her 'reason' for now staying. She knew Shadow would punish Rose, then probably act as if nothing had happened, trying to brainwash Rose.
"I'd much rather be who I want... then lie just to survive."
Shadow would want Rose to say she'd been out of her mind, that she hadn't meant to run away. Rose was tired of running, or hiding among her family and pretending to be just like them. She'd rather be killed then become like the rest of them.

*Sky heard Rose's thoughts before she voiced them and remorse swept through her. She let her guard down for the first time in...a long time.*
Ro-chan. I don't know what to do, hon. Shadow is our cousin and my leader. But you're my little sister and I love you.
*Then a thought came to her and saw Blackbriar dejected on the floor. For a while now, ever since his experience at the Xavier school, he was thinking of leaving the Nightmares, but she had never cared before. Now she saw a golden opportunity.*
Blackbriar...could you get Rose out of here?

*Blackbriar didn't hear the silent conversation between the two sisters. He really didn't care about anything. He wanted the impossible and he was never going to get it. Ever since his meetings with Rika and Airi, Blackbriar could see a much better life outside the Nightmares. But he just spiraled down into depression, until he heard Sky's voice in his head. He jerked his head up, gazing at her in pure surprise. Black didn't dare speak aloud, so he thought the words in his head.*
What...? Why?? What are you doing, Sky?!
