Apocalypse worked in his lab, doing his usual rundown on operations when he heard a noise coming from outside his lab doors. He turned curiously as the sounds of explosions and screams came from outside. As quickly as it started, the noise stopped, and a cold chill went down the back of the Brotherhood's leader.
After what seemed like an eternity, though it was only minutes, the lab doors opened and Apocalypse was once again faced with Cain.
"You dare enter my domain?" Apocalypse said angrily.
"Enter it? I plan to take it from you." Cain said with a laugh.
Apocalypse charged at the man, his form growing to emense size as he swung hard at Cain. Cain, however, had other ideas. He launched himself into the air and over Apocalyps's head, landing on the back of his suit's collar.
"Time to change leadership." Cain said with a smile.
The metallic tendrils he used on so many of his victims now shot from his back and into the back of Apocalypes's head. The leader screamed in pain, pain that he never thought he would feel, and Cain knew he would never feel again. Cain let out a loud yell of his own, and a huge explosion caused the doors of the lab to fly off their hinges and slam into the far wall.
When the smoke cleared, Cain stood behind Apocalypse, using his finger to push the body forward. The brotherhood's leader fell, though body only. He head was completely gone. Cain chuckled at another easy victory, using those metalic limbs of his to take over the computer, bringing the entire ruins under his control.

Artemis was finally getting out of the goodie two-shoes manor also know as Xavier’s School for the Gifted. With his other half hanging around to help out where he can and to make up for what Artemis did for the last year he didn’t want to hang around. He was planning on heading up to New York City and set up shop there again. It probably wouldn’t be hard to get his old apartment back he remembered paying well in advance with fake money but the loss of funds was the banks problem.
He just needed to pick up the small amount of stuff he had with him at the Brotherhood compound. He put his hand on the palm reader pad and when it didn’t recognize him he cursed and punched in his code into the keypad. When that refused to work his brows went together.
“That’s it, I am getting my damn stuff!” he cursed as he tossed his hair back out of his purple eyes and then thrust his hand out at the door. With that gesture he manipulated the complex but easy to change 0’s and 1’s that made up the computer code and made his code work again. He then slammed it into the keypad and walked in.
Finding this very odd though as he walked in he absorbed all the sound coming from his footsteps making his approach silent. He also pulled out his iPod and got Mr. Cellophane ready. He loved the song for sneaking around since even the best types of detection could be gotten past. It took a near super human level of attention to detail to be able to see him since as the song said, “You can walk right past me, look right through me, and never know I’m there.” The song didn’t make him invisible which was complex since there were many types of invisible, it just made him ignored.
He made his way to his room and tossed his small amount of items into a duffle bag before he tossed it over his shoulder. His room was special and he would miss it, but the one in New York would be even better. Any place he lived at for a long amount of time, at least a month, would get used to him and be more pliable to his reality warping.
“I’ m out of here.” He said to himself as he began to walk out still on edge slightly

Cain smiled down at his defeated foe, once again enjoying the pleasure of a second kill. It wasn't as fun as seeing Shadow's face, but when your face was in a million peices, there wasn't much to see. He chuckled at that small joke he made from his thoughts. His metal limbs went to work changing and shifting the ruins the same way he did for Nightmare Island.
The ruins began to come alive as it molded into Cain's on vision of perfection, along with members of the brotherhood that failed to get out of the island alive. He wasn't aware of Artemis walking around the ruins, not knowing that the mutant's powers were sheilding himself just by using music. Other mutants weren't as lucky, now becoming mindless drones under Cain's control.
He smiled at his accomplishment. First it was Nightmare Island, then the brotherhood. Now he only had two more options to choose from, but which would be a more enticing looking target? Should he leave the earth and take over Asteroid M? Or leave that for last and relish in the thought of killing Xavier one more time? Either one looked just as pleasing to think of as the last.

Artemis stopped at the door as the hallway outside began to change and his room tried to change.
“No you don’t.” he said stopping the song and flinging a hand at a random direction in the room.
His room was almost always within his realm of control because of his long time here. Even when he just slept here and left during the day it was 10 hours of time here with his mutation. It interwove itself with the reality and each time a part of reality was changed, it became easier and more malleable to change.
The gesture he did stopped any changes done to the room holding it as he liked it.
“Let’s see the best way to get out of here.” He said to himself as he sat on his bed.
He closed his eyes and waved toward the sound system shoved into his duffle bag. It tumbled out and began to play in a sub-human frequency. It was within Artemis’ ranges and anyone else with advanced hearing. He cranked it up and let his realm of influence grow. It crept in full sphere from his room.
In his mind’s eye he saw the changes happening and other Brotherhood mutants changing as if infected by something. His eyes snapped open as they burned with a bright purple energy. He made a square with his fingers and from them a reply of a person being infected was shown. Then, acting like it was an iPad he enlarged it and mumbled to himself.
“Nothing….reality reading.”
He didn’t need to vocalize it but doing so helped order his thoughts. Only thing he got from the reality reading was an abnormally high level of certain metals. He then circled a small part of the person’s skin.
“Molecular level, filter only metallic compounds.” With that he saw a large amount of molecules that appeared like the old highschool stick models since that is all he knew as his chemistry background was low. He did notice one type moving when they shouldn’t.
“God damn someone finally got those to work.” He said referring to the nanobots. He was around when Rhyme heard a technopath talking about them.
“Time to get out of here, fast.”
He shoved the sound system back into his back but kept it playing. He then shrunk his realm of control back to just his room since it was straining to have it out that big to read information. He was already starting to get a slight headache.
“Here’s hoping this works….local reality, personal space. Silicon, copper, radio waves, sound waves, carbon nanotubes, gold.”
As he said them he did a lot of strange gestured tossing his hands all around as if working with a touch-screen. Something this complex he couldn’t make too big but the basic effect was, anything with an inch of his skin would find that, the materials he spoke had their physical properties changed. Anything electronic would not work, he was just lucky he didn’t have a pace maker.
With that he left his room and tried to make his way through the new hallways to get out of the complex.

Unregistered mutant activity detected
Cain was brought from his thoughts when the computer came on. Without even speaking, he used his control over the machines to localize the activity, which ended up showing the hallway outside of Artemis's room. Cain smirked and chuckled as he saw that very mutant running down the hall.
"Well, well. We have a guest, and he doesn't want to stop and say hello? What a shame."
Another chuckle as his limbs went to work in the wires, sending out his connection to the nanobots that now held control over any poor brotherhood member that didn't make it out of the ruins in time. He then registered his voice over the speakers, just to get Artemis's attention.
"Attention all brotherhood mutants. Intruder alert, find him and bring him to me. If he refuses to surrender, then use all means necessary to bring him down. Kill him if you must."
He then worked his "magic" and activated all the security cameras, which now filled with mindless mutants swarming the halls and heading in the direction of his unwanted "guest". Cain had to laugh as he worked his control over the security doors, closing and locking all exits. If Artemis wanted to leave, Cain was going to make sure he had a hell of a time doing so.

“Shit, why does this always happen in the worst possible areas.” He cursed at himself when he heard the announcement over the loudspeaker.
Artemis was primarily a ranged fighter, he could work at melee for short time periods but he needed room to move and work his magic. The narrow and twisting hallways of the Brotherhood put him at a pretty big disadvantage.
“One good thing though about these hallways, they sure do echo.” He said when he noticed the security cameras coming to life.
He paused for a moment as he focused on the music playing just out of range of his technology short. He had to stop it for a moment to pull off what he wanted. As he stood store he began to snap his fingers with the strong beat of the music.
“One, two, one two three FOUR!”
On the word four he stopped snapped and both his arms shot out one in each direction of the hallways. At each word spoken the music he was playing got louder and higher pitched until at four a near visible sonic blast flew from his hands. If he got the frequency right it was high enough to shatter all the glass in a wide area including the ones in the security cameras.
He then decided to not raise his field back up. He had more things to worry about then the nanobots. He wouldn’t be able to do enough to get out of here with all those mutants in the way since the field took up way too much of his concentration. He would need a better idea of how the bots worked to make it simple for him to stop them.

Cain just sat back and watched the show that played before him. His curiosity got to him when he saw Artemis stop in the hallway. Was he going to fight? Give up? Both answers were proven wrong when he suddenly saw a flash of light that blinded him for a moment, and was shortly followed by monitors and other glass objects exploding all around him.
Whatever Artemis had done no doubt destroyed any chance of him being tracked by camera. It didn't matter to Cain, knowing that as soon as his mutant slaves caught up with Artemis, the boy would either be captured or dead. He took this opportunity to leave the base himself and return to Nightmare Island. He had to prepare for his next target, and he would make sure that instead of bringing down the leader, he would bring down the whole base as well. Which meant either Xavier's mansion would be mothing but a crater, or the world was going to see the next ice age once Asteroid M came crashing down to the earth. This caused Cain to laugh maniacly as his form took the same material as the floor beneith him. He sunk into the ground, disappearing among the wreckage and leaving his slaves to handle Artemis.
(sorry, getting Cain out for the final battle)

Artemis heard the crinkling of glass and knew they were coming for him and in this tight hallway he couldn’t do much. He knew one way but it would hurt his pride greatly. At least if he did it right nobody here would remember what he sang to break them free of it. While he still had time he pulled his sound system out of the back and shoved the cord into the sound system of the Brotherhood. He got someone to put in the jacks all over the place when he joined when he told them it would let him fight better within the walls. He then punched in the number of the song he wanted. He wasn’t normally a fan of songs sung by females. Rhyme didn’t care and sometimes preferred them but it always made his stomach twist when he had to do it. Cain was just lucky it was Artemis down here and that Rhyme didn’t know about him yet. Rhyme would consider all mutants his brothers, Artemis only cared about the Brotherhood enough for this song to work. ((Leave It All To Me: Song Lyrics)) The song worked so well because though it wasn’t intended to be by the original author, it described what Artemis could do. Somehow, the world will change for him and in his eyes, be more wonderful. As soon as he hit play the entire compound of the ruins was filled with the music and everywhere his music reached, his power reached. Every mutant who heard it would ‘wake up’ and come back to their senses. It helped them break the spell cast by Cain and to become normal again. He wasn’t sure what happened to the Nanobots and truthfully he didn’t care. As the Brotherhood members stood there stunned and confused after being brought back Artemis packed up his stuff and left. He was gone before anyone was awake to realize he was the one who saved them.
