Voices, that's all that he was listening to for months now. Some were good while others were evil. In the midsts of it all, he felt a growing evil that seemed to slowly creep into his mind. It was the kind of feeling that one would get stepping into an old house or a cave where strange sounds were coming from. You didn't know what it was, but you knew it was bad.
It grew steady at first, but after the last few days it was growing faster, until suddenly it hit him like a train. That was when his eyes opened, though slowly. The light almost blinded him, but he managed to open them fully and let his vision clear. Something had changed in the school, something drastic, but he wasn't sure what. Most of all, he still had that feeling in the pit of his stomache that there was a growing evil in the world. He felt it when Cain first made his appearance, but this was worse, more malevolent, more...empty.
He looked around to see if there was anybody else in the room, but nobody had stopped by yet. He knew people came to visit him, Rogue and Scott among others, as well as some newer mutants whom he hadn't really had the pleasure of knowing. He turned his attention towards the door as he heard foosteps coming in.

OOC: (Sent you a PM, if you have any issues I am fine with editing/deleting this)
IC: Artemis was wondering the school totally bored out of his mind and looking to stir up some chaos. He didn’t think he got much out of the rumors he spread earlier but who knew really, those may decide to ‘pop’ out in a random place later in the week or month. The longer the better since rumors tend to grow with age.
As he walked he thought he heard something from where good old Professor X lay in a coma. He tended to stay as far away from that man as possible since he was the one that helped Rhyme put him away during his years here but now he wasn’t so worried since the only person that held the key to walking up Rhyme was most likely long dead. With the worry of being put back into his little box gone, he decided to walk toward the room and give a small shock to the man if he was actually awake.
He turned toward the medical area and contemplated just stabbing him already for putting him away in that tiny little box but pushed it aside for the moment. He had yet to put his own barriers keeping Rhyme in place and he figured something like that would spark the little wimp into coming out again. So instead he decided to play it tamer and let lose a few sonic disturbances. He couldn’t imitate a lot of people after so short a time back but he remembered, Scott, Logan, Jean and Ororo well enough.
“Well, the Professor sure has been in that coma for a long time.” Came a voice sounding much like Scott from as near to the door as Artemis could judge.
“Yes he has, I have yet to feel much of a mental signature from him either.” Replied a voice sounding this time from Jean.
“How long do you think we should wait for him? How long until we have to assume he won’t wake back up?” Asked a voice sounding like Ororo the voice filled with pity.
“I think we have waited long enough, should put him out of his misery now and move on. He can’t lead the school in his current condition.” Came the last words from a voice sounding like Logan.
After that Artemis cut the voices since from experience he found less was more. If he tried to imitate too long people caught on that though they sounded like the person, they didn’t talk like them. He was trying to learn to pick up on speech patterns but he was nowhere near good enough in it yet.

Xavier continued to lay there, propping himself up against the back of the bed as the footsteps came closer. He felt a mind that he hadn't sensed since the boy was here last. He even listened as the voices of his friends came from outside the doorway. He couldn't help but smile. Artemis had indeed grown in his powers, but he always seemed to forget who was the better at playing mind games. He stared in the direction of the young brotherhood member and smiled, reaching out to his mind.
Trying to trick me with multiple people only works if there's multiple footsteps. You still have a lot to learn, Artemis.
If he had spoken that out loud, he could no doubt just imagine some of the students saying their favorite "busted" word for any time that someone got caught. Xavier found it a bit more amusing when it was the adults that the comments were directed towards. He continued to lookin the direction of the boy, that kind smile still on his face.
"If you're going to greet me, then by all means do enter. I assure you that I am in no position to do any harm."

He didn’t like it but he had to smile. Even after just coming out of a comma the man was still as sharp as ever. He found the one thing he forgot to put in. He was no master of illusions; he would leave that title for Haru. But it was impressive to catch on to that so quickly, most would be too focused on what was being said and not what was lacking.
“Touché, I bow to your wit.” He said as he walked into the room.
“And since you referred to me as Artemis and not Rhyme and since you touched my mind I won’t even bother trying to be Rhyme in front of you. Going to tell the rest of the staff about the little switch-a-roo or try and put me back?” he asked knowing at least one of the answers.
He didn’t want to sound cocky but he wasn’t one to beat around the bush. He wasn’t one hundred percent sure about being able to put back but he was sure enough to be here at the moment. He remembered it being said that only Rhyme could put him away, another psychic could help, but only he could make the final move. And at the moment, Rhyme was in no condition at all to fight, he had the image of Haru dying in the destruction of Tokyo to easily put Rhyme back into his depressive little emo corner.

"I prefer to keep little secrets to myself. However I won't sit by and let you torment my students or the faculty as well. I trust you will behave yourself while you're in my school."
He looked around and noticed that his wheelchair wasn't there. It must've been left in the office. He wasn't really in any shape to move on his own, and asking Artemis for help would probly land him in a bit of a hard situation. So he just sat up in the bed and waited, letting his mind scout the area. He noticed that Logan and a few others from the X-Men were gone. Tim and many of the students were missing as well. This caused his casual smile to disappear into his serious tone.
"What has happened here? Why are many of the students missing and where are the X-Men? I can't detect any of them anywhere."
This little fact worried him more then ever. It wasn't like the team to be gone to the point where he couldn't detect th em, and the students had disappeared to the point where he could easily count the number in the school which, unfortunately, wasn't many.

Artemis shrugged his shoulders not knowing where everyone was. He had better hearing then most but it was never that good. He motioned as if pulling a chair around to seat himself and when he did a simple wooden chair appeared in his hand and materialized around him as he sat. This was done so naturally that he barely even noticed himself, the same motion four or five years ago would have taken a decent amount of focus or a small song.
“I have no idea where everyone is, I am just here as a messenger between you guys and the Brotherhood, and I wouldn’t dream of it since wouldn’t that violate that treaty thing? Though I would nip some of this gossip I have been hearing in the bud or tell your teachers to be more discreet, apparently someone heard Logan and Ororo in a supply closet down in the lower level of the school.”
The first part was the truth since he didn’t know anything about it which was surprising. He heard a great deal, sometimes more then he wanted. Though the second part was a dig at what he stirred up earlier. That is one little time-bomb that would be hard to diffuse since like hundreds of feathers, once released gossip was hard to take back.

"It would seem that things have gotten worse then before I was unconcious."
He sighed, composing himself as he sat up in bed, still waiting for the doctor to come in and look him over. He needed to get back to his office and get things prepared. He also needed to find the X-Men and talk about what has been happening in his absence. He could feel something stirring far off, though he couldn't tell what was happening without cerybro. His attention was back to Artemis when he talked about rumors.
"Rumors are just that. Even if you are the one that starts them."
Another half smile at Artemis as he spoke. The boy should learn to keep his thoughts to himself when he didn't want anybody to know about them. He was sure that the students would get reprimanded severly if they continued talking about things going on between the faculty. Nobody gossiped about Jean and Scott, so he was certain that a few words to the students would remove any talk of Logan and Storm.
"Would you kindly bring my my chair. I must return to my office, and I'm sure the doctor would mind me being out of bed at a crutial hour. Especially since this is my school after all."

His grin didn’t leave his face even when the Professor called him out on the starting of the rumors. He didn’t really care since it didn’t cause any direct harm so was in the grey area of the treaty. It was his own students fault for believing them and spreading them.
“We shall see, rumors can be strange though, the more you try and squash them the more believable they seem to get. Twenty-one percent of the human population still believes we have not set foot on the moon.”
At the mention of the wheel chair he rolled his eyes at being used as an errand boy but stood and looked around for the chair. When he stood the chair behind him faded back into nonexistence. He finally noticed the electric wheelchair sitting in the corner and gave a whistle as if calling a dog. On the whistle the chair slowly started up on its own and wheeled itself over to the Professor’s bedside.
“So…do you need me to lift you out of bed too and set you in? Maybe heat you up a bowel of chicken noodle soup? Get you an aspirin or whatever you take after waking up from a coma.” Artemis said in a snarky kind of way.
Rhyme always had respect for the man since Professor Xavier took him in and helped keep Artemis repressed but now that Artemis was the one in firm control he was only here because the Brotherhood made him and he truthfully had fun collecting recon on the new students.

"Yes, it's quite amazing how humans can be so...how do you say it? Simple minded?"
He watched as the chair rolled over on it's own accord. Artemis had indeed been working on his skills more outside the school than in. Xavier's only concern was whether or not the boy was using it to help or harm people. He didn't say it out loud, but he knew that the brotherhood weren't ones for helping people, though the alliance was starting to show different.
"Thank you, but no. However I would mind that you show a little more respect while in my house. Unless you want me to wake up your counterpart."
Xavier did his best to struggle into the chair, and when he finally settled himself down, he looked up at Artemis with a small smile. He made sure to let it be known to Artemis that Xavier wasn't in the mood for smart comments.
"Follow me. We have much to discuss and much more to plan. I have a feeling that our dealings with Cain may be put on hold. I sense a bigger threat in the world now, much worse than Cain could ever bring."

“Oh, you can try but you will find him crying in a corner over the loss of his boyfriend. Poor thing was in Tokyo during the attack.” Artemis said brushing off the threat of putting Rhyme back in charge. The tone though wasn’t as a counter threat, he still didn’t want to have to deal with fending off the telepath at all hours of the day and night but came out as a flat tone of truth.
He remembered from the past, even with the Professors help, it was always Rhyme who had to do the binding. And right now the kid didn’t have a positive emotion left to use as the cornerstone of the binding.
Artemis waited for the Professor to pass and then followed him. There was nothing going on so might as well learn more about the global politics so he understood more of what he overheard in the school.
He was somewhat surprised that the Professor valued his input. Rhyme’s maybe but his? He didn’t really care what happened since he always felt like that status quo was always too boring and needed shaking up to make life worth living.
“Global orders are never as fun as they start off as. Sure it’s fun to defeat the opposing armies and to scare most of the world. But once the world is all under one man, the rules are even stricter and the world becomes even more boring and unchanging.” He said referring to Cain’s ideals to conquer the world.

"Perhaps I may one day, just to see if I can reach the poor soul."
He continued down the hall towards cerybro, a small smile on his face as he spoke that sentence. He wouldn't really do that to Artemis, having left his school. It would appose Xavier's law of free will for mutants. When they reached the door, he looked back to Artemis.
"Again, you are correct, which is why he must be stopped. However, I beleive it isn't him who's now pulling the strings for the fate of the world. Not anymore, now please wait out here."
The doors opened and Xavier rode in, the doors closing behind him. As he moved up to the console and put on the cerybro helmet, he could feel the minds of all the mutants around him and around the world. The things he saw amazed him, mutants who were once good were now evil and causing chaos. Tim and Alex were in Australia battling a female mutant, David was attacking New York, and it looked as if the real Cain had returned to the Nightmare home for a little recruiting of his own. There was a member of future Cain's team heading up to the asteroid to infiltrate it, and Magneto was now on earth.
Rose was dieing and Ian and Parker were working together to find a cure. What made matters worse is there was a new mutant plague out with no unknown cure and there was a new member of the senate looking to make life better for humans and take away any freedom for mutants. He removed the helmet and the walls went dark. The doors opened and he turned around, his face entirely covered in sweat. He rolled out and stopped by Artemis's side, looking up at him with a tired and worried look in his eyes.
"We're all in grave danger."
