Nix sat on the tree branch and looked down. Her coat was sitting resting over the bench at the edge of the forest and her back pack was resting up against it, her shoes were tucked under one of her coats sleeves and her socks were tucked inside them. Her bare feet hug down below her and kicked back and forth as she looked out over the school ,she smiled to herself and sighed and then leaned back on her tree branch and fell back. Her legs stayed wrapped round the branch she'd been sitting on and she swung forwards and then let them go straight and fell to to the ground on all fours with a thump.

She grinned to herself and then stood up and lifted up one hand and ran it through her long messy hair and pulled out a twig and tossed it into the bushes beside her and then looked at her items on the bench. No-one would take her stuff, and even if they did she'd be able to get it back, after all, her powers left traces on things and the traces on her clothes would be pleantly to help her find them if someone were to borrow them while she walked. She tucked her hands into the pockets of her black combats and then walked into the trees a little more and smiled again .The sun shone down through the trees and made the grass ahead her glow yellow and she could hear water trickling a little away from her. it was nice to be in the forest again after so long doing homework and classes

Tain sat in his dorm and looking down out of the window at the court yard and school grounds below him, his tail flicked lazily behind him and his eyes scanned the forest line. He spotted a coat hanging over one of the benches beside the forsest and he smiled and then stood up, there was a bag sitting beside it which meant that who ever it belonged to can't have moved very far away from it. He lifted a free hand and ran it through his messy hair and then looked down at his watch and grinned ,"I've got time to walk" he said to himself and laughed.

He smoothed his black shirt and slid his hands into his jeans pockets and then stopped and took his right hand out of his pocket and flashed, he disappeared in a flash of light and a reappeared next to his bed and bent down and picked up his dark green forest hoodie and then he disappeared and reappeared again next to his dorm room door he grabbed his tail and curled it up under his shirt and then he peeled a line of tape from a small roll in his pocket and tapped it down to the top of his jeans so it couldn't be seen. Tain reached out and pulled twice on the rickety handle attached to the old door, until it finally opened with a jolt, he stepped into the corridor, it appeared to be empty as he glanced down each side at the row of doors, similar to his own save for the numbers '105' painted on with white paint. With a crooked smile, A flash of white light filled the corridor and he was gone.

Nix wandered into the trees and then paused and looked around herself at the trees and bushes and a lopsided smile grew onto her face and then closed her eyes and listened ,she could hear the water trickling in the stream just beyond the edge of the school grounds and the leaves in the trees around were moving back and forth in the light breeze and nix sighed.

She closed her eyes and clenched her hands up into fists and flicked them out in front of her and drew them back to her sides and a long line of shadows flicked out In to the trees and wrapped around the branch of a low yew and then they tugged her forwards at it, she paused until the last moment and then trust her hands down and shadow shot out below her and sent her flying upwards. She reached forwards and her focus was gone in moments, the shadows disappeared like smoke and nix wrapped her hands round the branch and swung round and then pulled herself up on to the branh and panted. Her legs wobbled and she cost her head go dizzy for a moment as her power drained the life shadows from inside her and then levelled out and nix felt herself go stable and smiled again ,"getting quicker" she said in a low voice

Tain reappeared in the grounds, the brisk coldness of last week had passed and the sun shone brightly; but there was enough of the faint breeze ruffling the leaves of the forest to make tain irritated enough to pull on his hoodie and raise the hood of it. He slouched lazily with his hands in his pockets and looked around the grounds. The grass was cropped neatly, and the trees on the grounds where well cared for and trimmed. But the woods behind him where more wild and covered in shadows. His eyes fell on the stone bench to his right. The coat was still there, folded neatly. Tain walked up to the bench curiously and picked at the sleeve, underneath was a pair of shoes and within them socks. He smirked and shook his head drifting away from the coat and dreamily looking into the woods. "I wonder who is walking around bare foot then...." He rolled his eyes and nudged the bundle of clothes aside so he could sit down.


Boredom grew, and he increasingly wanted to flick his tail. But in the end he shook his head and ran a hand through his hair ruffling up and pushing back the hood. He watched people walk by, birds tweeted loudly and he heard a distant fountain trickling softly.

nix leaned forwards in the tree and leaves brushed over her face and branches tangled themselves in her hair and she smiled and then let go with her hands. She fell forwards and dropped through the air and leaves and branches whipping past her trying to slow her down and then she threw her hands forwards and the ground came up to meet her and a dark purple bubble appeared below her and she dropped down onto it and then she flicked her hand and it was gone and she dropped down on to the ground gently and little dark shadows shot through the under growth around her

She stood up and brushed down her black combats and then smoothed down her dark grey t-shirt and sniggered again and then held her hands up above her and then brought them down to her sides quickly and sent two waves of shadows plowing through the trees and out into the sunlight of the school ,nix clenched her fingers together and then shadows were gone like they had never been there aside a few now trimed branches in the trees. She gave a small laugh and then rolled her eyes, "now we know that works and we have also given our location away, smart move" she muttered to herself and then flicked a bit of hair that had fallen past her ear

Tain slouched for a second, lazy and bored as he looked around the neat grounds. Watching people stroll by. He shivered as the sky temporally seemed darker, like a thin cloud had passed briefly over the sun making everything more dull for a moment. But then it was gone, and he seemed to be the only one who noticed it. He whirled around and looked at the forest over his shoulder. "Hmmm" He murmured, frowning slightly. With a flash of light he was gone.

He reappeared in the forest, it was darker, but still summery and bright, just more shadowy. The tall pine trees around him creaked in the wind, he jumped out the way of one, figuring it was about to fall, but rolled his eyes at his stupidness when it didn't.
He proceeded to walk through the trees, in search for whomever was sending out shadows, and leaving clothes behind. They'd be walking bare foot, something tain found weird seeing as the ground was littered with sharp looking twigs and pine cones.
He saw something flash by just ahead, the trees looked identical. But there was someone there for sure. He caught a glance of pale red hair, and heard a murmured tone of faint talking-

*little note fogsie, nix and Tain knew each other as kids and were best mates and Tain leaves a puff of white smoke when he flashes, sorry of I didn't say before*

Nix Looked out through the trees and then muttered darkly to herself as she spotted a shadow of a figure walking through them in her general direction and lifted her free hand and ran it through her messy red hair and caught a twig wrapped up in it and flicked it away and then smiled and broke into a run. Her feet pushed off on the grass below her making her move faster and faster until she could hear the movement of the water in the river just out of the grounds and she gave dark and mischievous smile and then bent down and flicked her hands up wards.

Two lines of shadows shot out from her wrists and wrapped themselves around the top of the wall round the school and she tugged back on them and sent herself flying upwards, she gave a small laugh and then waves her hands out away from her and dropped down on to the brick wall in a crouched position and looked back through the trees ,"gone come chase me?" she wondered out loud

Mika sat at her desk in her shared dorm, attempting to draw a new character she'd come up with. For the fifth time, she angrily crumpled the paper and tossed it into the waste can. "Uch, why can't I get him right?!" She said to herself, frustrated. She stood from her desk and went to go look out the window. It seemed nice enough out. Maybe I ought to go for a walk, She thought, to clear my head Taking a walk usually helped her with her art, so why not? She walked over to her closet and changed into a pair of torn skinny jeans and a purple tank top, the slipped into her grey Converse sneakers and a baggy grey sweat shirt. Zipping the sweatshirt half way, she grabbed her drawing pad, pencil and good eraser, and started for the door.

Once outside, Mika started for the woods. She usually found good inspiration there, if not for characters, then simply for backgrounds. She inhaled deeply, taking in the woody scent. It smelled like the forests back in Japan- a scent she adored. Sighing happily, she entered the little haven, hoping for inspiration.

Tain crept forth, the shadow drifted into a patch of warm sunlight, where the sun had broken through the canopy of leaves up ahead. He caught a glimpse of red hair as it flared in the sunlight, long red hair swishing around as the, figure a girl moved. He heard a faint snip of her bright but quick laughter and a crooked smile fell on his lips. He knew who it was.
He followed after the figure, as it turned and ran, the girl had seen him and flew up onto a wall, crouching on the red bricks. "Gone come chase me?" He heard faintly, still in the distance of the forest. He rose his hands and vanished, leaving only smoke behind. He reappeared closer to the wall and looked up at nix. "Hey, don't run." He huffed. "You know It's bad for my joints" He grinned crookedly and winked mockingly. Tain looked up at the pale skinned, red haired and large green eyed girl above him, smiling fondly. "I had a feeling it was something to do with you" He looked at her bare feet and rose an eyebrow. "Do you often walk around barefooted?" He asked sarcastically.

Nix gave a chuckle up on the wall and nodded ,"well duh, shoes are for squares didn't you know" she sniggered and then looked down at her freind ,"no tail out today? Someone tread on it again or you still too worried about fitting in?" she asked honestly and tipped forwards on the wall and dropped down. The ground rushed up to meet her and she waved her hand across herself a bubble of her shadows appeared below her just in time for her to drop on to it and land, the second she did it popped and disappeared like smoke and she touched down to the ground.

Nix chuckled again and stood up and brushed her self down and then looked over at Tain ,"it's been a while phantom, I didn't think you'd ever end up coming here but hey, you've surprised me before plently of times" she said with a smirk and then tilted her head to one side ,"and who are you to talk about being pale?" she said ,moving her hands so they rested on her hips. She rolled her eyes and leaned back on her foot a little and then tilted her head to one side again ,"so how long you been here and how long you planning on staying?" she asked
