Personality: Somewhat on the serious side, Jared finds himself lost in his work a lot. This drives him into solitude a lot of times.
Though quiet and withdrawn Jared is not above hanging out with the guys for a good laugh. It just takes some time to get past that invisible emotional barrier.
His solitude driven lifestyle usually keeps him out of the light of the family business. Push come to shove he stands up and works right along side his father on anything that is require. Though he silently wishes his father could live forever so he would never have to completely control the company himself.

Power(s): Extreme strength, along with the power to thicken his skin, in localized areas or his whole body, in what appears to be a dark red rock like substance. Initially it can grow into what looks like scales but can grow into a thicker area where no skin can be seen. This creates a hard surface that is nearly impenitrable.
Weakness(s): Skin is not completely impenitrable and even though he has an extended stamina from keeping in shape, he can still be worn down.
Cause: He was born with it, anytime he felt threatened even as a child his skin would harden as a defense mechanism.
Other skills: He is known world wide for the creations he has made. Jared is a carpenter of sorts. While his passion is building structures of all kinds he tends to lean to carving wood statues and trinkets.
The concentration in his craft also transfers into the world of martial arts. Skilled in many different forms of self defense he has created his own unique style of combat. This was mainly for his own benefit of concentration and centering his mind, but has also become useful against the growing mutant hatred.
