Nix shook her head and then turned the page over to reveal her with shadow sitting on her sholder and a backpack on her other sholder and her face smiling but her eyes hiding sadness, "this was taken by the people who took me in when i was 14, the other boy was their son and my only freind, Tain" she explained and then sighed and snapped the book shut and leaned back on her bed and slid it back underneath in the wooden rungs running along its bottom
"he was like us" she said to the top of her bed and then forced herself upright and looked over at her roomate, "i knew he was when he found me back he never made he walk home, he's a teleporter, but his family got messed up once they found out by seeing his tail" she said and then gulped, "his mother killed his father, and i ran away only a month before hand so i never knew until he sent me a letter last year, i know he's around but i also know every time he see's me he flashes out so i dont see him" she said and then slid her legs off the edge of her bed and ran a hand through her hair

*Hehe, sorry! I'm a nerd, I know. ^^;*
"A teleporter!" Mika said, amazed. She'd always been interested in teleporting, wondered how it worked. "He sound's really nice." She listened as Nix finished her story, her smile fading. "Oh my God, thats horrible! I'm so sorry!" She paused, leaning on her hand, with her elbow placed on the desk. "And I thought my parent's divorce was bad..." She whispered, remembering the custody battles and hours of sitting in courtrooms. "That must have been horrible for him." She looked at the red-haired girl sitting across from her. "It sounds like you've been through a lot of hard stuff. I'm so sorry. You seem so nice, you don't deserve to be put through these horrors." She turned to continue empting her bag. Pulling out the last of her belongings, she set everything in its place. Adjusting a few things, she looked at her desk, content. She though for a way to lighten the mood a bit. Laughing slightly, she turned to Nix and said "I'll bet you're life would make an awesome movie, huh?" She smiled at the girl, hoping that helped to cheer her up slightly.

Nix laughed and then shook her head ,"me and Tain would be a brilliant move combo" she said and then looked over at mika and then ran her free hand through her hair ,"he was found out on his first pe lesson at school but he convinced the kid not to tell, he was ok until he was 11 and the teacher saw, when his mum came to office he was in tears and asked for a hug and she stepped back and wouldn't touch him as his tail flicked out behind him. They walked home and his father told him to go upstairs, but he heard a scream a came down to find his mother having gone mad and killed his father and then she ran at him, so he flashed out and turned up at the park" she said and then sighed, "I havent seen him for 5 years now so I don't know how he's doing, his name is on the class sheets here but I haven't spotted him yet" she said and then pushed herself up off the bed and dusted her dark combats down and then walked over to the open window ,"wanna go for a walk?" she asked looking outside

Mika listened to the sad story. She spaced out a bit, thinking of what she'd said- she hadn't seen him for five years? She shook her head. "Hm? A walk?" She saw him at least once a week, he was in one of her classes. Which one? It was one of the regular classes. Math? No, he was in her Science class. They were lab partners before, a while ago. "A walk sounds nice," she said to Nix. She pulled on a jacket. Maybe she should try to re-unite them? That would be kind of her, and she liked this Nix girl, she was nice. Maybe Nix would like her better if she got them together again. She smiled at the thought. "So where to?" She asked, pulling on her high-top Converse sneakers. "The library? I have a couple books I need to reaturn." She turned to her desk and pulled out the six finished books. "Their not due yet, but I already finished them. I read really fast." She piled the books up. "But if you had somewhere else in mind, we could go there. Like I said, these aren't due yet." She waited on a reply.

Nix rolled her eyes at her room mate and looked around for some thing soft to throw at her, she settled on her pills and tossed it across the room and into the other girls face and sniggered to herself ,"nice catch" she said with a smirk and then stood up and looked out the window again, there was no-one else around. She lifted one hand and ran it through her messy red hair and then untied her boots and slipped her feet out of them and then bent over to pull off her socks. She shoved the socks inside her shoes and then stood up and kicked them under her bed and walked over to the window sill and climbed up on to it and opened the windows wide and nudged her cat out the way ,"shift scruffy" she said with a laugh and the cat mewed at her and climbed up onto her bed as nix looked back over her sholder ,"I was thinking some where else, yea" she said with a dark and mischievous smile and then walked to the edge of the window sill, looked down one more time and then laughed and leaned forwards

Mika flinched as the bottle hit her. "Hey!" She exclaimed. She picked it up off the floor and placed it on the girls desk. When she turned around she saw Nix leaning out the window. "What are you doing?" She asked, sounding skeptical. "Your not thinking of going out onto the roof, are you?" She walked over next to the red-haired girl. "You could get in serious trouble if you get caught." She said you, meaning that there was no way she was climbing out onto that roof. So far her record was clean of detentions and diciplinary points. She didn't even have any overdue notices at the library! She planned to keep her file clean of any trouble. She didn't want to cause any problems with the faculty, eather. "Your insane, you know that?" She said to Nix. "Absoulutly Kureijî." She refered to her origional Japanese language, Kureijî meaning crazy. "If you think I'm going out there, you're thinking wrong. There is no way, not one, that could possibly get me onto that roof." She turned, walked over to her bed, and sat firmly down. "Sekai de wa naku, 1tsu no hôhô." Not a single way in the world.

Nix smiled and dropped down from the window and then turned round and grabbed on to the window and looked up at mika ,"come on, I'll help you out, I can even catch you if you want" she said and then loosened her hands and dropped down. She dropped down trough the air and then waved her hands across in front of her and a bubble of her dark purple shadows alleged on the ground below her and she dropped down on to It and then it was gone in a second and she touched down on the ground.
She looked around and then smiled, it was the middle of the day so everyone was ether in class or doing home work so she would be able to wander around and no-one would care. She turned around and looked back up to the window sill of her room and then took a step away from the school a little bit and waved up at mika who was still standing by the edge of the room and she smiled ,"come on down, we can go for a little wander" she said with a smirk and then waved her hands across in front of her ,"I'll catch you" she said with a laugh

Mika hissed a sigh of releif. At least they weren't going on the roof. The reality smacked her on the face- She had to jump. She called down to Nix: "I can't! I'm afraid of heights!" She looked down, and was immediatly hit with a bout of nausa. She pulled her head back in the window and leaned her back on the wall next to it. She called out once more. "There is no way I will jump! Masaka, nai ka!" She sighed. "Can't I just take the stairs? Please?" She did not want to jump. She was morified of heights, and jumping out a window certianly wouldn't help that fear. "You can't make me jump, Nix!" She yelled down. She turned and went to her desk, leaving the window behind. She sat down in the chair and pulled out some blank paper. "Since I'm apparently not going out," she said to herself, "I guess I'll draw a little." She started on the guidelines for a manga character she'd been desgining before. See? She thought. I'm perfectly fine in here, not jumping out a window.

Nix rolled her eyes and flicked her hands up towards her room and two lines of her shadows flicked up and wrapped themselves around the glass and then nix pulled and they shortened in length and she shot upwards. She gave a laugh as she shot up through the air and then flexes her hands and the shadows disappeared and she dropped down on to the window on a crouched position and then rested her arms on her knees and looked over at her room mate ,"see, now I'm gonna think you don't like me" she said in a taunting voice and then sniggered. "heights isnt something that should scare you, they can't hurt you upset you or anything like that ,or they can't when I'm around and bubble prone at aleast" she said in a slightly softer voice and then leaned up against the window pane and looked over at mika again.
She tipped forwards and dropped into the room and then nodded at phantom to take his trademark place on the window sill and then stood up straight and dusted herself down ,"the jump and fall are the best bit of the walk, aside getting back in again" she said with a snigger and then rested her hands on her hips ,"and trust me, I could pull you out with me" she said ,her voice growing playful

Mika started slightly when the girl flew back in the window. "Don't scare me like that!" She gasped. "If you'd have scared me any more, you bee chock full of electricity!" She crupled up the drawing, which wasn't turning out right, and turned to her room mate. "Look, so I'm terrified of heights. Is that a big deal?" She stood from her desk. "It's a common fear, caused by a bunch of diffrent things. My cause if that a few years ago, when I was 12, I fell out of a tree and broke my arm." She held up her right arm and pointed to it. "I couldn't draw for weeks, and I felt helpless. I don't what that to happen again, and I've been afraid of heights ever since. What's the big deal." What she didn't mention was that she climbed the tree to escape her fighting parents, her only safe-haven from the arguments. She sighed, and sat down on her bed. "Look, I'm sorry, but I refuse to jump," she apologized. "Couldn't I just take the stares like a nor-" She caught herself on the word "normal." She wasn't normal, no one here was. "Like everybody else?"

Nix rolled her eyes and took a step off the window sill and over to her room mate ,"who said jump? I only do it because I like be adrenaline rush it gives me when I do it, I could lower you down if you wanted. I'm ever. Fairly sure that provided I had enough energy I could flash us both down, but I'd never tried it, but getting people down from windows I have done before, you would be safe" she said softly and then leaned up against the end of her bed and rested her hands on the wooden frame and pulled herself up so she was sitting on it.
She flexed her legs out and then let them swing back and knocked against the wood and flexed her fingers too and felt the buzz of energy as classes ended and kids left them with homework and relationship fears which fueled her. She twiched her fingers slightly as the buzzing heat spears down to her elbow and then shook her head and it was gone as she focused on the world around here again. "I wont force you to, I'd never do that, I just know facing fears is good for you" she said in a low but SPF and friendly voice
