As Rory got closer he noticed that she had her eyes closed, perhaps the biggest mistake she made was to assume he was dead. She would learn quickly however, as she opened her eyes Rory expected surprise. After all, it wasn't every day that someone got burned to a crisp and then stood back up to fight some more. If he wasn't mistaken, it didn't look like she could fight another round, which meant an easy victory for him... But something else bothered him.
Surprise was natural, but the surprise that she had seemed to be just... Odd. Even more odd, she didn't panic and she didn't try to attack him, even more odd. It didn't matter though why she was surprised, perhaps she just knew she was going to die. As he stepped closer, sharp claws extended from the gloves of his rebuilding suit.
Then she said it... His name. How in the world did she know his name? It caused Rory to pause for a moment, "How do ye know me name?" Everyone knew him as the Phantom, it was a nickname he had picked up in the Agency, no one alive today knew his name was Rory. Then again... There were parts of his memory that were, black, so to speak.
Ever since he got that chip removed, there had been many things that he knew he had done, but couldn't remember. Was it possible that she knew him? The concern on her face seemed to suggest so, but what if she was still an enemy? "Do ya know me?" He asked curiously before shaking his head. No! He couldn't fall for this, it was a trick. She knew who he was somehow, maybe she worked for the Agency. That could be a reason, or at least that's what he justified to himself.
"It doesn't matter, just 'nother reason ta get rid of ya." Rory said, popping his wrists to fully extend his claws. He calmly closed the distance between himself and the red head, his intentions were very obvious. He had won the fight, and what was going to happen next wasn't going to be pretty. As he stepped closer to her though, part of him couldn't help but nag at him that she knew him... and more importantly... that he knew her. Those feelings were unexplainable though, sometimes his gut was wrong, but he felt like he needed to finish this or she would just attack him again. He saw how violent she was after alll...

The response he gave…. Was not what she expected. This really was… Rory..? But… How?! How could this be Rory? The same Rory that she fell in love with… The same one that had saved her life more then once in the Himalayas. The same Rory….
Freya felt like going into shock. Sure, killing Rory wasn’t something new to her… She’d done it before… But… That wasn’t what seemed to have her so shell shocked at the moment. It was the whole him trying to kill her that left her speechless.
Something was wrong. How could the Rory she know try to kill her? No, something happened… And when he asked if she knew him… It was obvious. His memory. Something had happened to his memory! “I do…” The first words that came to mind. She sounded just as confused as she looked, still unable to really believe this.
The next part… What he said. Left her speechless again. Suddenly though… That anger from earlier seemed to rekindle. But not for the reasons you might think. She was angry because he had forgotten her. That he’d done something stupid enough to make him forget her! “So that’s what Angus meant…” She wasn’t really talking to him. She was to exhausted to move, to do anything really. But at last things made sense. When they’d gone to Ireland… His ‘liked more then most people, but not all that much liked’ friend, Angus had mentioned Rory killing people like her…
She didn't move from the spot as he moved closer, just waited. If he really had forgotten her... It didn't matter what she said. He wouldn't remember...

It had been almost eight months ago since Rory had found out he had a monitering chip implanted in his cerebral cortex by the Agency. The chip not only monitered him, but controlled him in more ways than he could have imagined. he couldn't go to a doctor to remove it, so he had to resort to shady back alley transactions to get rid of it. When he finally did, he could remember everything. Joining the agency, what he did before, leading the armies of Ireland, everything... except what he had done for the several years between when the chip was inserted and when he got it removed.
He had assumed that all the memories were... irrelevent, just things he had done while in the Agency. Part of him thought that he had done more though, after all, how had he gotten away from the Agency in the first place? Then there were the dreams, more like memories of dreams. He couldn't explain them, but figured they were just that, dreams... Could this Freya actually have answers to what happened to him in the "dark zone" of his memories?
When she said that she did know him, Rory began questioning everything he was doing. No, she was lying... But then she said Angus' name, how could she possibly know him? Things were getting strange and Rory wanted answers, but part of him, the part that used to make a living out of killing mutants like Freya, was screaming at him to do it.
So slowly he bent down, and wrapped his armored hand around her throat once more. It was much easier when she had totally given up, which seemed very strange to Rory. He tried to shake the feeling though, and instead squeezed; lifting Freya up to her feet so that she would be forced to tippy-toe, and pushed her against the wall.
For several moments his soft hazel eyes stared into her deep green ones. This was wrong, he knew her, he knew those eyes, that face... Rory narrowed his eyes for a moment and then... Let her go, likely moments before he suffocated her. Though he didn't trust her completely, he stood his ground for now, "'ow do ya know me? 'ow did ya know my name, 'ow do ya know Angus?" Rory asked with a raised brow, he needed answers and for once... He knew this woman could give them to him.

Freya just waited for something, anything, to happen. How would he react? What was he going to do? Were his memories really gone? So many questions… Absolutely no answers. What happened to him…. That would make him forget everything? And better yet…. Why was he the Terrorist, Phantom…?
She fought some when she was suddenly lifted by that hand on her throat, not nearly as much as you might expect, but with a combination of lack of oxygen and just plain shock… Well you really couldn’t blame her. She grimaced, struggling to breath from the grip… There’s eyes meeting until he just…. Let her go? She gasped for breath, using the wall she’d been pressed against for support.
“We met… In New York…. There was a Bank Robbery…” She paused for a few moments, still trying to catch her breath. “You came here after… Xavier offered you… A job…” And at last she reached the finally question. “I met Angus when we…. Went to Ireland…. The house in the fog…”
Freya didn’t tell him about ‘them’. How could she? How could she tell the only man that she’d ever loved, about ‘them’, when he didn’t even remember ‘them’! What was she supposed to say anyway? We used to be lovers? Oh yes, smart idea. How would he even react to her saying something like that?!

It was clear that Rory still did not trust this woman as he let her speak. Clenched fists and an agressive stance proved that, if what she said didn't add up in any way he would rip her throat out. There was no room for trust with an omega mutant, they were too powerful to be trusted, largely because Rory had yet to meet one that wasn't corrupted. Well, as far as he could remember he had never met one that wasn't corrupted.
As she spoke he remained totally silent, staring intently at her with every word she said. Rory couldn't remember anything she was saying, however, she knew about his home and Angus. There was not another person alive besides Angus that knew about that house, Rory had never taken anyone there. As hard as he tried though, he could not remember her.
"I brought ya to my house?" Rory paused for a moment, "Then 'ho are ya?" It was obvious that he didn't mean her name, he wanted to know who she was to him. If all they did was meet in New York, why would dare take her to his home unless... No, that was impossible.
"Who is this Xavier? I want to talk to him..." Rory said through a metallic voice once again, the suit had crawled up across his face one again. The suit looked as if it had never been touched, just like Rory's skin, though it was lacking the painted skull that ws on it before. Suddenly, there was a slight hissing noise and the wall beside Freya began to move, Rory assumed it was the door... Now would be his chance to kill Freya and escape yet.... he couldn't bring himself to do it, yet.

Freya had seen Rory like this a few times before, but never had it been directed at her. It actually pissed her off, maybe not like before, but enough that she wanted to yell at him. She wanted to beat him for not remembering anything about her. Even worse... She actually.... Felt like crying, the one emotion she'd refused to ever show in front of Rory.
Slowly, very slowly... Freya nodded. His next question though proved... Well she wasn't really sure what to say. Instead of responding, she just looked away from him, unable to bring herself to say anything or even look at him. She hated this, truly hated this. But she didn't try to convince him of who she was.... Or what they'd been.
Only when he asked to talk to Xavier did she look back at him, the emotions she'd been feeling a moment before buried. "Charles Xavier.... And I doubt anyone would let you near his office in that." She meant his suit. Any student that saw the menacing figure would attack him, thinking he was a threat.... Which he was...
Freya heard the hissing. Someone was opening the door... But why? Who was that stupid?! A moment passed, and Freya knew... No wonder the person was daring enough to enter.... Freya, and probably Rory, would feel dizzy, to the point of being unable to be able to stand. It wasn't bad enough to knock either of them out, but it was pretty close. The French woman used the wall behind her as support, her head swimming as she cursed in French.
The door slid open fully, revealing another woman who looked like she was probably close to 30, with dark hair and eyes. The source of the Vertigo, Hazel. She smiled at the pair, though.... it was more of an 'I'm only smiling so I don't yell' smile. "Are you two playing nice in here?" She finally got a good look at Freya.... And then the half melted Danger Room. "...... I suppose not..." The woman paused for a few moments, her gaze back on the Phantom. "Well, Freya. I suppose we can get him out of your hair. Someone's come knocking for our guest, and they aren't going to take no for an answer."
Freya glared at the woman, the whole room spinning still. As long as she was close to Rory, she'd feel the same affects as him... Hearing what Hazel said though.... Freya actually looked panicked. "What? You can't!" She paused for a moment, her gaze traveling to rest on Rory. "It's.... Hazel, it's Rory!"

When Freya turned away from him Rory couldn't help but notice that she looked as though she was on the verge of tears. He didn't understand why but she actually looked deeply upset, not angry, but sad. Rory, unexplainably, actually cared... at least a tiny bit. If only because he knew that he was the cause of this. Obviously he had meant a lot to this woman, though he didn't know why. When she avoided the question about who she was, and looked away from him, she gave him the answer to his question.
Rory didn't know what to say, heck, he couldn't even hardly believe it; if it was true. When she finally looked back at him and spoke, he glanced over his suit, "I'm sure they wouldn't, but I can't take it off yet. If you really know me, then I should tell you... There are people coming for me that wi-" Before he could finish his head started to swim and he staggered a little. His balance was far better than a regular human, but whatever this was it was making even him want to sit down.
Suddenly the door opened, revealing another woman, and the obvious source of whatever this was. Immediately Rory felt the sense to attack her, after all, she was attacking him in a way. He extended the claws from his glove again and took a step toward her, but as soon as he did he lost track of his feet and hit the ground. Apparently the closer he got to her the worse it become, either that or she intensified it, either way he couldn't stand anymore. Interesting that he nearly killed an Omega level mutant, but one that was no where near that level brought him down quickly... for now at least.
"Ms. Evans, we will not wait any longer. Please detain your prisoner and hand him into our custody immediately or you will be charged with aiding a known terrorist." A voice echoed around the danger room, coming from an unknown male voice outside.

Hazel didn't like the idea that a bunch of Government agents had come to the school to pick up their guest. Who would, after all? In some way, it irked her purely because the X-men had been the one to capture him, and now were basically being forced to hand him over. Hearing what Freya said though... Well the woman looked stunned.
Her gaze traveled from Freya, to 'Rory', watching him intensely. With that suit on, she couldn't see the face behind it. She didn't want to believe it was true, after all, they all knew Rory here, and Rory hadn't been... Well like this. But... That look on Freya's face... Freya wouldn't act like that unless she was absolutely sure it was him.
"Is it true?" She finally asked, right around the time he took a step towards her. With out any hesitation she intensified it so he couldn't get any closer. She just watched him with keen interest as he fell. "You shouldn't try moving. That's the thing about Vertigo. The more you move, the worse it gets." At least Freya had been smart enough to brace herself against the wall and not move.
The woman scowled as the voice came over the intercom. They certainly were impatient. "Well? You both heard. They aren't going to wa-" Hazel suddenly stopped, her attention back on Freya. "What the hell are you doing? Where do you think you're going?" The younger woman, using the wall as support, was leaving.
Freya had a rather insane plan in mind. No way did she want to just 'hand him over'. Freya wanted to know why he couldn't remember her... And for that, Rory had to meet Xavier. But with the agents here to collect him... There wasn't really much chance of that happening. So.... With the insane plan set, she moved to go through with it. She hadn't been hit by the Vertigo nearly as bad as Rory, but she was still forced to lean against the wall as she walked. She didn't bother speaking to either of them until she was out of the door. "To negotiate." She was starting to get farther and farther away. And the farther she got, the better she started to feel. Soon, she was running up the stairs and out to meet these so called Agents.

Hazel didn't have to tell Rory not to move twice, as he rolled onto his back he simply staye there, spread eagle. He let out a soft groan as the world spun around him, it was amazing how fast she had brought him down. He knew his suit had tricks that could be her, but honestly, he felt too sick to try and use them. Laying still, that was a good plan though. "Could you... please stop... or just, leave... something." Rory said, his eyes rolling behind his helmet, trying to focus on anything.
Upstairs, two men dressed in black suits with black glasses on waited patiently at the door. Both looked almost exactly alike, freakishly alike in fact. Not only in appearance, but posture, and even the way they held their hands behind their backs. Finally though, the door to the mansion opened, and both were expecting the dark haired woman, but instead were greeted by a strange sight.
It was a red head, with large bruises over her neck, cut marks all over, and most of her clothing was gone; barely covering up the more personal parts of her body. The two agents glanced at each other, then back at the woman.
"I'm agent Smith, this is agent Kowolski. We are with homeland security. You are harboring a terrorist known as The Phantom. You are to give him to our custody immediately or this building will be searched and you will all be arrested." The man spoke calmly, and was obviously the same voice as the one over the comm system earlier.

With Rory's whole rolling over and playing dead, Hazel was nice enough to stop using her power on him when he asked. "Do you plan on stopping her?" The woman didn't seem all that worried for Freya's safety... She was more concerned the the agents.
Speaking of Freya... Well the woman didn't even seem to notice her rather... revealing attire until she spotted the stunned looks on a few students faces. Before leaving the school to 'greet' the men, she grabbed a thigh length coat off the coat rake. If it weren't for at least one of the agents being male she wouldn't have even bothered. But, alas, men were visual creatures...
She was in the process of slipping it on when she stepped out of the school to face them. Her first thoughts when she saw them? Why were there only two? Buttoning the coat shut she finally she smiled at them. But... It wasn't what you might expect. It looked like she was mocking them... "Only the two of you?" Well, she might look like she was mocking them, but her french accent actually sounded rather pleasant. "I'm sorry, but I didn't think holding someone against their will was considered 'harboring' in this country." She paused once more, hands propped on her hips. "As for searching the school and arresting me... I see two problems with that plan. I doubt anyone, especially the students would welcome your poking around, even if you did get the Headmaster's permission, or a warrant, whichever comes first. And second... Doesn't diplomatic immunity prevent you from arresting me?" The was smiling still.

Almost immediately, Rory began to feel a little bit better. After a few seconds, the room was no longer spinning and he no longer felt nauseaus. Though he was still a bit dizzy, likely just after effects, as he got to his knees and then feet. Rory himself was a tall man, but in the suit, it was increased even further and when he fully stood up, he practically towered over Hazel. Which, when dressed in a black armored suit, with razor sharp gloves, and knowing he was a terrorist, it was likely a little intimidating.
"What do you people want with me?" Rory asked, after all, why had they brought him here in the first place? Hopefuly she could answer.
Outside, the agents glanced over Freya as she put on a coat. Sure, they may be trained to fight, but even they had urges, and Freya was definitely a very attractive woman... When she finally put it on, they focused back on what she was saying, "Well ma'am, whether he is held against his will or not doesn't really matter. He is still wanted by the government and is being kept from government supervision." The man was trying to reason with her calmly, but when she started subtley telling them to get lost they both got agitated.
"Well, we already have our warrant actually, and we could enter the mansion right now. Asking permission is just being polite, ma'am. Besides, I doubt your headmaster and your 'students' if you call them that, would like being known as enemies of the state and refusing cooperation with the government." After that, she really did it. She didn't want to play nice, then they wouldn't play nice.
"Diplomatic immunity huh? Kowolski... You see any Embassy's around here?" Smith said, never taking his eyes off Freya. Kowloski glanced to the left and right before speaking.
"No I don't."
"Well, isn't that a shame... Bring us the Phantom, ma'am... Or we will bring him out ourselves."

Hazel didn't move from her spot as she waited for him to return to normal, more then patient enough. When he was finally on his feet and questioning her, she just smiled. "Nothing, other then your motives. Though now I wonder... Are you really Rory? You act as if you've never been here... Or seen Freya before in your life."
Freya didn't seem to notice the looks she'd been getting from the two, as if it didn't concern her as long as they didn't try anything. Actually... She didn't seem all that concerned about anything they were saying. "Oh, I understand. I wonder though, if we had a hard time detaining him, how do the two of you plan on it?" They did know that Freya, and at least all the others that had been involved with catching Rory were mutants, right?
This was why Tari didn't like Freya getting involved with politics and Governments. Freya always made things worse then they should be. But that was just her personality for her, even more so seeing as Rory was the one they wanted! Like hell she was going to hand him over!
"Really? That's great. Can I see it?" It wasn't exactly because she wanted proof... More like she wanted to destroy the document... Either way, it would be a bad idea to give her the paper... It that weren't bad enough, the look she gave them basically gave away the whole scheme. She didn't go on to mention that some of the students wouldn't cooperate, even if they did know...
With an overly dramatized shrug, Freya just sat down on the steps, propping her elbows on her knees and head in her hands, now smiling that 'let's see what happens if you try' smile or hers. "You're right. But that doesn't mean I couldn't beat you to one, if need be." She was getting overconfident, like usual. A few moments of silence, before she covered a yawn. "If you want him that bad, go right ahead and try. I'm to tired to do it myself." Again, there was that 'Let's see you try' smile.

As the new woman spoke, Rory didn't move. Every ounce of him was screaming to kill her and just get out of there without a problem, but those things that the red headed woman said... He HAD to know. He had to stay until things got sorted out, until he got his answers, then he could kill them all if he had to. For now though, patience was the only answer to his problems. Perhaps if he found out what he had done in those years he couldn't remember, he would be able to fight the Agency better.
When she asked if he was really Rory, he remained totally silent for several minutes, "You should let me go now... "Rory said calmly, if he tried to explain that the agency was already here and going to try to take him, she wouldn't listen to a word he'd say.
Outside, the two men were getting very aggravated with this woman, "As you are not the owner of this premises, we are not required to show you our documentation." The man said calmly.
Finally though, she seemed to be cooperating at least a little bit, "Thank you ma'am. Please, lead us to him and we will extract him." The man said casually again, if only Freya knew how well they actually could bring Rory in...

Down in the Danger Room Hazel didn't seem to be making much progress. The Phantom was being just as uncooperative as Freya was on a daily basis. "That's not how this works. I ask you a question, nicely I might add, and you're supposed to give me an answer." She paused, smiling cheerfully once more. "And the sooner you answer, the sooner this is over."
"Hmmm... I guess you have a point. But unless I know you actually have a warrant, I can't exactly let you in. Isn't it interesting how that works?" Freya's smile turned into a smirk, taunting the men even more. You could say she was an idiot for doing this, but this was just Freya being... Well Freya!
Seemed was the keyword. Freya didn't cooperate, not with anyone. Even when Rory had his memories, if she didn't want to do something even he couldn't convince her otherwise. Force was just as useless as negotiations with her, as well. She was quite easily one of the most stubborn people you'd ever meet...
Both her eyebrows lifted as they thanked her, as if trying to figure out why they'd done such a thing. "Wait, I didn't say I would take you to him. I just said I'm to tired to, even if I did feel like doing it." A short pause as her smirk vanished and she just started at them. "Sadly, I'm sort of in the mood for making this whole thing much harder then it really should be. I think you might want to call in reinforcements."

Rory sighed slightly, "You don't get it..." He left Hazel and walked to the middle of the room, folding his arms and facing the open door, "It will be over soon anyways." Rory didn't say another word as he stared at the open door as if waiting for something. They would be here sooner or later, probably not many, just a tester group to see if Rory really was here, but they would be here....
Outside the two men stared in disbelief at the woman. As she spoke, then just sat there with practically the only thing covering her was that coat. At least they knew she wasn't armed. When she finished speaking the two agents looked at each other, then back at Freya.
"Fine, here is your warrant." The man reached into his coat pocket and pulled at a paper, stepping close to freya and holding it out to her. As he did so though, a spray of black gas came out of his shirt sleeve right into Freya's face. The gas was used by The Agency to temporarily shut off a mutants powers, and only used by the Agency.
Kowolski stepped forward, reaching into his pocket and pulled out what looked like a metal rod. He whipped it out, causing it to extend to about two feet in length, then jammed the tip of it into Freya's ribs and turned it on. She would likely feel an incredibly painful jolt of electricty, and keep feeling it until the man let go.
"...Now... Take us to him, or we will do far worse things to you..." The man known as Agent Smith said, though it was very obvious now that these men didn't work for the government.
