The past few weeks had been strange, very strange. She and Shakaku were officially 'together', even though most people didn't even know about it. It wasn't like a lot of people knew about their even knowing each others names to begin with! Gisli even doubted that Shakaku had told his friend Kaitou about her...
Classes had ended only a few minutes before. Most students would rush off to change out of their unfamiliar uniforms. Gisli wasn't one of them. She headed for the library to return a few books and find a few more to read.
As she slowly wandered the aisles, her gaze scanned each shelf, trying to find something worth reading. Each step she took, she unconsiously tugged on straps of her plaid jumper. She didn't wear skirts often.... Sure, she kind of liked the look of it, and quite a few people had said she looked adorable in her uniform, but it was still strange.
She stopped at a shelf, pulling down Jurassic Park and staring at the cover. Should she read it? She'd never even seen the movie! She sighed, sometimes it was frustrating to try and find a new book to read....

*This sucked! Why was he still here. Why didn't he just get his GED. That was all that was required. Well partially for training. He felt like he could still use some time as a student to learn under Freya. But the other part was...There she was right there. Walking into the library. Shakaku, with his piercing back in he followed her. Stopping to look around. He had never even been in this room before. She must be looking for a new book. For curiosity sake Shakaku wondered around the room, his uniform loosened to be a little more comfortable.*
*After a little wondering around he spotted the isle where Gisli was. She was holding a book. He observed her in that uniform. A mischievous smile came to his lips. Looking around to see if there were any witnesses...none. This was perfect. Shakaku silently walked towards her until he was directly behind his beloved Gisli and wrapped his arms around her waist. Pulling her tightly to his chest, he leaned so his mouth was near her ear.* Sexy little school girls should watch their backs. There may be a demon wanting a thing or two from them.

Gisli didn’t know how long she just stood there staring at the book. She’d finally turned it over and scanned the back. At last she decided. She’d read it. At least to see what the heck was in it. It’d give her a movie to watch after she finished it to. Should she grab the second one as well now? She couldn’t decide…. She liked reading all the books in a series but what if she didn’t like the first one? But how could she just stop at the firs if she knew there was a second, even if she didn’t like the first? She sighed softly. She was such a book nerd…
The absolutely moment she felt someone grab her from behind her whole body froze. She didn’t jump, she didn’t jump when you scared the hell out of her, she played possum and went deathly still. She didn’t even make a sound in her sudden shock. Only when she heard the voice in her ear did she let out the breath that had trapped in her throat. Of course she recognized that voice. How could she not? “It’s a good thing I already have a demon watching my back then. Scares off all the other demons.” Even though she knew that the one holding her happened to be her cynical boyfriend, it still took her a few moments to calm her raging nerves from the surprise attack, her body slowly beginning to relax against him.

*The smile on his face became more demonic. So she agreed? Well then...* What does the princess think of her demon? He may be a bit protective right? Or does she want prince charming to come and save her? *This was his chance. His chance to find out her feelings, again. He didn't know why but he loved to hear Gisli say what she did about him.*
*As Gisli's possum act started to wear off he held her tighter. He knew about Gisli's act when she was scared. It made it hard for him to hold her the way he wanted to.* You're so cute when....all the time. *He had to stop himself.*
*He couldn't think of a time that she wasn't cute. He looked at what book she had in her hands.* Isn't that book from some form of dinosaur movie? I think I saw it...it was lame. But I'd watch it with you if you want me too. But I still think it's a lame name. They could have thought of something better...*At that he kissed her cheek lightly, his warm lips making contact for only a few seconds.*

Even though he couldn’t see it, she stuck out her tongue at his sudden curiosity, a somewhat sour look on her face. So she was the princess now? Well it looked like they had a theme today… “The Princess thinks the demon has corrupted her to much, and she’d rather not be rescued by a Prince Charming anymore. Anyway, a demon is more exciting company then a Prince.” Her sour look broke way to a small smile. It was true. His cunning ways made things exciting and unpredictable. How could she ever want another guy?
Her stillness had passed by now, and Shakaku’s arms holding her even closer. She naturally relaxed into his arms even more. If anyone were to see the two they’d stay they were having an ‘intimate’ moment, and even though their looks were at odds with each other, Shakaku the punk and Gisli the childlike innocence, they actually did look cute together… In their own unique way. “All the time?” He never gave specific times when complimenting her like this, as if unable to decide on one.
Gisli would have shrugged if she didn’t want to disturb either of them, turning the book in her hands a few times. “The book came first. The movie was just Hollywood’s attempt to create it in the real world.” She paused for only a moment. “… I’ve never actually seen the movie though…. I don’t even know if it’s any good…” His instant label of the movie sucking wasn’t a surprise. He seemed to be the type that was very particular when it came to movies. At least he offered to watch it with her…. “Is the movie scary?” It wasn’t a secret that Gisli didn’t like being scared to much…. And if it was scary… Well she’d basically force Shakaku to watch it with her, if only so she could hide in his arms at every scary scene.
She smiled when she felt his lips touch her cheek. It was almost like a butterfly kiss, very light it almost tickled, and it did tickle. So much that Gisli giggled a little.

*Shakaku gave Gisli a devious look. Even though she didn't see it. So he was fun to be around? She also said that she didn't wan't a prince anymore. But what princess didn't want prince charming? Well that was obvious. One that was corrupted by a demon.*
Yea all the time, and especially right now. *He knew that he was bad at thinking of specific times, but it was true, Gisli looked amazing every time. No matter what was going on around her.*
*Thinking back on the movie...well...he didn't think it was scary, but Gisli was different.* I guess it was a little suspenseful, but it was a little childish from some other shows I've seen. But you might find it scary. *Knowing what she was going to make him do if it was scary he kissed her again.* Don't worry, I'll be there to protect you. The demon must protect his beloved princess. *He thought he should stay with their theme for now. It made things fun. Plus no one was around so there was no harm in flirting a bit with his girlfriend a bit. He wasn't sure if he should say that they were "cute" together...but it felt right.*

Hearing his ‘especially tight now’ comment only made Gisli glance down at the uniform in an almost self conscious way. What was it about girl uniforms that guys liked so much? She really couldn’t understand it…. At all. “I think you have a thing for plaid.” It took her longer then she thought to come to that solution, but it made total and complete sense to her.
Oh great. So he did admit it would be scary for her? Well that was just perfect… Books rarely scared her, so she doubted she’d have much trouble reading it, watching was a different story…. And before she even had to tell him that he’d have to watch it with her he was already agreeing to it. …. He knew her to well. “Well, that’s good. I’d hate having to watch it alone…” Especially the scary parts. Suddenly she smiled a little. “The demon seems to be very protective. Is he worried a Prince might try to steal his princess?”
Of course he was worried about other guys. What guy in a relationship wasn’t wary of every other man their age that came near their girlfriend? It seemed to be a completely normal, male reaction… So far though she hadn’t seen Shakaku’s jealous reaction yet… She had to admit, it might be interesting to see… And dangerous for the daring stranger…

*Shakaku looked at his uniform. He hated his uniform! He would already be out of it if it wasn't for him seeing Gisli. O well he would change out of it soon enough.*
On the contrary, I challenge any prince to try to steel my princess away. *If any boy tried....Freya would have a lot more training to do and Shakaku would have to venture to the lowest area in Dante's inferno. That would be bad for Shakaku, the random boy, and Gisli.*
*Thoughts of a boy hitting on and even dating Gisli made Shakaku mad. His temperature raising. Once noticing that it was raising a bit to high for Gisli he concentrated on lowering it. He was getting better at that. But he still had a long way to go. As his temperature went back to "normal" his arms loosened around Gisli. He could hurt her one of these days if he wasn't careful. He was worried about that. The last thing he wanted to do is see Gisli get hurt. Maybe it would be best if some knight in shining armor came and swept her off her feet. Then the demon would be alone and not have to worry about hurting the one he had grown to love.*

Okay, maybe he personally didn’t like wearing plaid, but something about girls wearing plaid uniforms seemed cute to men. Why? … It was unlikely anyone could ever answer that. Gisli personally knew Shakaku despised his uniform. But his reaction earlier hadn’t said he hated her uniform. Ah the wonders of men…
His challenge to anyone that might try to win her affections made her raise both her eyebrows in surprise…. A moment passed before she giggled. It wasn’t quite a giggle fit, but it was pretty close. Enough that she just might have tripped if Shakaku hadn’t been holding her against him so tightly. “I think ‘Dragon’ fits you better then ‘Demon’ at the moment. They like guarding Princesses don’t they?” In this case though, the Prince wasn’t allowed to win. “Only… Without the slaying part. That isn’t allowed.” Her sense of balance had returned at the right time, because he’d loosened his hold on her. Being this close she instantly noticed the temperature jump. How could she not?
She smiled a little. He made it unusually easy to know exact how he was feeling. Just because the temperature always raised when he was furious. It raised at other times, but it jumped the most when he was angry. She didn’t worry about being roasted though, he was careful, or tried to be. She set the book on the shelf and turned in his arms so she could stare up at him. “What are you angry about? I’m not going anywhere. No matter how dashing the Prince is.” She smiled.

*Shakaku smiled when she said that slaying the dragon wasn't aloud. So the princess did prefer the monster. But she was so...understanding. She knew that he was worried about her being with someone else. He looked down and smiled at Gisli. Leaning back on the bookshelf behind him he sighed. Still slightly holding her, but his hands ready to drop at any moment.*
You have herd of the saying "if you play with fire your going to get burned. *He looked up at the lights above them.* I don't want to hurt you but I might do it accidentally. *That was his biggest concern. But he had been training. But even Freya had let loose. If someone as composed as her couldn't control her power sometimes then there was no hope for Shakaku. The second something happens, the tempeture could raises, burning Gisli and setting the shelves and books on fire. He had to stay focused on his body heat, and the heat around him.*
*His arms dropped. He closed his eyes and focused. His temperature was...one hundred and seven, Gisli's temperature was... ninety eight degrees. The aria around them was about eighty degrees. Those were pretty good, he had to keep them that way.*

Shakaku always seemed to have one worry on his mind. Always. He was always worried that he might hurt her, that he might lose control. It made her smile vanish, her expression hard to read. She didn’t say anything for a few moments, trying to gather her thoughts. Of course she knew the danger. That if something happened she could get hurt…
But the same thing went for him. He’d only experienced her power twice before, if only because she was extremely cautious when it came to using it. He’d only ever experienced one curse. He didn’t know just what she could do…. Yet. And like him, there was always the chance that she might lose control.
He seemed oblivious now, his eyes closed and arms at his side. She just stood there, as if deciding what to do. Finally, she sighed, fixing him with a somewhat stern look. “I know. There’s always a chance that something could happen…. I don’t care.” She folded her arms across her chest as she stared at him with that fixed look. “I really, really, really don’t care. The risk will always be there… For both of us. That doesn’t mean anything to me. You know that I could accidently hurt you, and your still here after all…”

*Shakaku half way looked down when Gisli started to speak sternly. He had a feeling that he would be getting at least one more lecture today. But it was true Shakaku could get hurt from Gisli's power as well. When she finished he grabbed her again, once again pulling her close to him as if he never wanted to let go. He kissed her forehead and stayed there in silence. He felt a little better, but he had to keep sight on the temperature. His was now one hundred and ten, gotta keep it there. Here's was a little higher too, along with the temperature about them. He lowered the surrounding temperature back down to eighty.*
*They stayed like that for quite some time but finally he spoke.* What should we do now? *He didn't let go but he still wondered. He didn't care if she wanted to stay or leave. If she wanted to do homework or something then he could go watch some things on his laptop. He usually worked on his homework in class while the teacher was talking. Not because he wanted to look like a good student, but because he didn't want to do it afterwards.*

Gisli had expected some reaction from him, just not suddenly yanking her back into his arms with absolutely no warning. She actually squeaked in surprise, sounding almost identical to a mouse in the small sound. Her possum act almost returned as well, and would have if it’d been anyone but Shakaku. Instead, she just sighed softly, relaxing into his arms and closing her eyes when she felt his lips touch her forehead.
Neither of them spoke for a long time, the silence comfortable. The surprising thing was that no one came across the two, not even the librarian! Or if the Librarian did see them… The woman didn’t say anything, probably thinking it was about time the devil student had someone close to him. And if that person was the shy, cute Gisli? All the better!
“I don’t know…” She opened her eyes to look up at him. “What were you going to do before?” Suddenly, she realized something. They were in the library. She couldn’t even think of a time before where Shakaku had entered the library. She doubted he’d even known where the library was before now! She suddenly smirked a little. “Did you follow me? I find it hard to believe you just happened to find me here.”

*The silence was comfortable not awkward in the least. He thought of what he was planning to do before he spotted Gisli. He didn't have to many things planed.* I guess I was going to get my laptop and watch some new anime's that just came out. But that can wait, they wont go any where, unless you want to actually study?
*Shakaku's smile came back as she asked.* Yea, I guess I did follow you into this place. *He looked around. It looked fairly familiar...lots of books. He had herd the professors and students talk about this place, but he never wanted to go there until now.* Is that a bad thing? Do you want me to try to not follow you around?
*Shakaku hoped that she would say that she didn't mind. He enjoyed her possum, he thought it was cute and different. He wouldn't say this to her, because she would probably scold him again. But sometimes he like to scare her just to see her do that, then sometimes get mad at him for scaring her. That was why he didn't laugh that when he did it. But she was still so adorable.*

Gisli had to admit, the idea of just going to watch anime sounded very boring…. And very predictable. Shakaku was obsessed with Anime… “Yeeeaaaah. I should have guessed that.” Hearing the rest of his comment though, she stuck her tongue out at him. “You thought I was going to go study…? Study what? Dinosaurs?” She raised an eyebrow. If she’d planned on going to study, why would she have been looking for a book to read in her spare time?
“Well, I’m pretty sure you want to go change, but after we could go do something…..” What they went and did…. She didn’t have any ideas. She was pretty bad when it came to coming up with activities, especially considering she still wasn’t that used to being ‘with’ some one yet.
She chuckled when he admitted his stalkerish behavior. “Stalker.” She paused for a few minutes, before shrugging a little. “Of course not. I think it’s cute.” Sure he probably wouldn’t agree with her, but oh well… Guys didn’t like being called cute after all. “Wait, try?” She raised an eyebrow. “Try as in you would try not to and fail, or try and fail half the time, or try and actually succeed?” She smirked a little.
