Exya didn’t exactly blend into the crowd. How could she? She didn’t exactly dress normally and the thin black feathers that stood in the form of a mohawk didn’t help her blend either. People always found a way to look at her, some even stare at her. This made her exceptionally uncomfortable, but she noticed that everyone was staring at other people who looked a bit strange. This eased her discomfort a bit, but not much. She kept her mouth shut, but her ears stayed wide open. This entire place was new to her. She wasn't fearful of it, but that didn't mean that she wouldn't be on edge for the first few weeks, maybe even months, on the asteroid. That was if they stayed that long anyway.
After much wandering against walls, and much watching, maybe even a little eavesdropping, she found herself in the shopping district. This place was strange. The clothes they sold were strange. The music that played in the shops were strange. The smell of food was strange. It was all strange….but intriguing. She never said a word, but fought to collect her thoughts to form an opinion on this place. There would be much to learn, and for once she wished that she wouldn’t have to fight her way out of this place.
A tall, lanky fellow with Mohawk upon his head caught her eye. She caressed the feathers atop her head slowly and kept an eye upon him until after my examining, she found he was simply an earthling of some sort. She had to admit to herself that she was disappointed. She hadn’t seen one Shi’Ar since she had wandered off after landing. They had to be here somewhere. She knew for a fact she wasn’t the only one of her race to wander this asteroid.
A squatty and fat man with almond shaped eyes and not a single hair upon his head collided with her and began to scream at her in Mandarin. She was still learning this language, but she knew it well enough to know that he was scolding her for running into him. Once he was done with his speech, spikes breached his skin and he glared at her. With his display, she arched a brow at him and simply side stepped him before continuing away. He yelled after her, but she paid him no mind. There were other things she could occupy her time with. A tantrum throwing earthling was not one of those things.
