“Let go of me!”
Her shouts echoed through the halls as she was dragged through them, her hands were bound and two guards stood on either side of her. The blonde haired young woman continued to struggle against the guards, refusing to be dragged along quietly. “Unhand me this instant!” A swift backhand to her face silenced her. Her face was red where she’d been hit and she couldn’t help but feel the distinctive sharp pain that came with being struck in the face.
“Shut up!” The guard on her right hissed at her, clearly he’d crown tired of her struggling. He muttered something under his breath while the other just shook his head and dragged her along. For a moment Calamity stopped struggling then suddenly kicked out, striking one in the knee before spinning on her toes and slamming her foot straight into the side of the others head. Before the other could get up she kneed him in the back of the head before making a break for it.
The only sound she could hear was the fast, pounding sound of her heart beat. She ran as fast as she could, trying desperately to get away from the lab that she had been being dragged towards. Calamity finally came to a stop, leaning back against the wall, attempting to catch her breath. She slowly slid down the wall, closing her eyes and allowing her breathing to return to normal. Her head was sore. She hadn’t noticed it until now but she guessed she’d hit her head while being dragged from her car.
She wasn’t even sure who they were or why they were after her but she didn’t like it. Calamity opened her eyes when noise caught her attention, clearly not quick enough. A sharp pain was all she felt before her vision went and all she could hear was the faint and fuzzy sounds of voices. Everything went black and all her senses died.
-------- A Few Hours Later -------
Noise.
She couldn’t make out specific sounds, there was too many of them for her to differentiate between. Voices, two of them. Her hands were still bound, she could feel the cold metal against her skin. “Where…Where am I?” Her brown eyes flickered open, her vision still blurred. Her blonde hair was fanned out about her head, almost like a halo. Her face was still red from where she’d been back handed earlier that day. The cold metal was suddenly snapped by the flicking of her wrists. ”Pathetic.” Calamity flipped herself to her feet before kicking open the warehouse door, the warehouse was empty but there was a Friends of Humanity banner upon the wall. ”I should have known.”
Calamity walked out of the warehouse, the door lead into an alley way, one that was dark and damp. Lovely. As if her day wasn’t bad enough. ”Where the heck am I?” Her hands rested upon her waist as she walked through the alleyways, lost to say the least.

"You! What are you doing here?"
A burly looking man walked up to him as he entered the place, looking around at where he was, then seeing the banner hanging above them. He had tracked a blond haired mutant to this place and saw that it was a haven for humans that were apparently rising up against the mutant race.
"Truly you don't believe that humans can have a power over mutants do you?"
"What did you say?" The man stormed up to him, but stopped when he saw Cain's form beginning to change to that of the concrete steps, and the walls that held openings for the windows and doors were now gone, replaced by concrete walls. Cain just stood there, smiling at the group of humans who he now had the attention of.
"I said, you're all going to die."
If any were to come by with sensitive hearings at that moment, all they would hear is the sounds of horrified screams, angered yells, and cries of pain that ended in an eerie silence. After a few moments, the place resumed it's original shape and Cain stepped out into an alleyway where he was sure the blond mutant went. The smell of death and blood followed after him, having left the group of humans a literal blood bath, the banner that hung above ripped in two.

Another dead end, how disappointing. Her brown eyes searched the alley wall for any sign of weakness, yes if there was no other option she was going to knock down the wall. She was growing increasingly bored of the ugly brickwork; the young woman crossed her arms over her chest in an un-amused fashion. Her blonde hair stood out against the dirty and damp alley way. Why couldn’t there meeting place be in a nice part of the city?
Her dark eyes scanned the dirty walls around her once more, there was a slight crack in the wall but that was more than enough for her to exploit. Calamity thrust forward with a clenched right fist, watching the wall crumble down around her fist. “Such a pathetic excuse for a wall.” The mutant brushed off her knuckles, there was no harm done to them so she merely lowered it to her side. It was in the aftermath of the wall falling that she finally heard the footsteps. Is someone following me?
Calamity turned and walked back the way she came, stepping out into the open. Her eyes cold as she looked upon the person that had been following her, her arms were folded calmly across her chest. “Why are you following me?” He wasn’t human or at least that was what she suspected. A Friend of Humanity wouldn’t have come after her after discovering the fragments of broken handcuffs, Calamity had a horrid feeling that her day was going to get worse. As if my day wasn’t bad to start with now I have to put with a stalker… Not a good day at all and to think it started off so well, someone had seen Shaun…
Someone up there must hate her a lot.

He continued down the alleyway until he saw the girl heading back in his direction. She looked at him with a look that only said she wasn't one to be toyed with. Those were the kind that he liked the best. When she asked why he was following her, he merely smiled, though there was no feeling behind it.
"I wasn't following, merely looking for talent for an army against these stupid humans. Care to join me?
He was getting use to letting his words speak for him first. That usually did the trick, but even if it didn't, he kept his powers on standby in case he had to trap this girl in and take her by force. If she only knew what he had left back in the warehouse, she probably would either try to fight him or hear what he had to say.
"I had been watching your movements through the day, especially while you were in the hands of those...what did they call themselves..."Friends of Humanity"?" he laughed a little, "By the way, you don't have to worry about being taken by them anymore. I made sure they knew the flaws of their little group."

Mutants were taught very quickly not to mess with Calamity; she could absorb the abilities of others and weaken them at the same time which made her a tricky opponent. Not to mention she was very good at hand to hand combat. Calamity continued to observe him with her dark eyes; she didn’t tend to trust people who followed her around, force of habit one might say. A habit that usually left her follower face down on the ground. Something about the way he was smiling at her unnerved her slightly though it didn’t show upon her face or in her eyes. Over the years Calamity had grown very good at hiding things from others, especially her emotions.
A cold laugh left her lips. “Even the weakest mutant could get away from those fools; I could simply be a healer for all you know since I haven’t used my powers in some time.” This wasn’t strictly speaking true since she’d knocked down the wall with her super strength. His offer was tempting but Calamity wasn’t one to just give away her loyalty, it had to be earned though once it was earned it was very difficult to lose. One other thing put her off his offer. Shaun. The love she’d spent months searching for.
“I thank you for taking care of them though they were of little concern to me, mere flies that are easily dealt with. I assume you killed them, judging by the smell of blood that is clinging to you.” Her arms remained folded over her chest even as she brushed her hair back over her shoulder in a casual manner. “As tempting as your offer sounds I’m going to have to decline.” Shaun came before anything else and she wasn’t about to give up on him until she had proof that he was gone.

"All humans deserved to be punished for their arrogance. They believe they can control us and tell us what to do. I'm forming an army to prove how wrong these fools truly are."
There was a growing hunger in his eyes as he spoke, a lust that only came from someone wanting to conquer and destroy. When she thanked him he nodded in regard, and let a small chuckle come forth when she assumed he had killed them. He smirked when she declined his offer. He really didn't want to fight this girl, but since she had said now, obviously there was no choice in the matter.
"I do apologize, girl, but I'm afraid I'm not giving you a choice in this matter. You're coming with me."
His form changed to match the cement floor of the alleyway, never losing his smile as he did. Cement walls rose up behind the two of them, reaching to the top of the buildings. Once they reached the top, spikes appeared along the walls, reaching a good two feet long. Cain just stood there, smiling at her once this new area was finished.
"Last chance to change your mind, girl."
