Mystique was growing more and more fond of her distant relationship with Apocalypse each day. It was a rare occasion that he required her assistance, and often times he would grow angry with her for doing it her way rather than following orders that he never gave her.
Outside a restraunt seated oposite of an empty chair, she waited. She truly hoped that she wouldn't get stood up on her 'date'. Even without her blue skin gracing everyone's eyes, she wore the form of a tall, lean blond with big green eyes and curls falling against her back, which was bare from the low cut back of the short black dress that she wore.
A timid waiter continued to bring her free drinks from a man with a stupid grin on the inside. The first two drinks, she took, but after that, she told the waiter to bring the glass back with him and if the man continued to pester her with drinks then to just bring the same one back and forth.
She sighed and craned her neck to see the clock. Her 'date' was five minutes late. Perhaps there was good reason. Perhaps that was their intent, she was not sure, but she grew restless and began tapping her foot against the cement under her feet.

How she had managed to find him, he would never truely understand. Yet there she was, saying she wanted to meet with him. Honestly his first thought was to just kill her at that point, but realized that she could be valuable since she had information about the brotherhood. So he would meet with her, letting her live for the moment.
Why she wanted to meet in public outside a restaurant was beyond him. He watched as people began noticing him and running in fear, which only made him smile at the sight. Humans were such easy things to play with, and even easier to torture and kill. He chuckled softly at that, though noticing that one of these people weren't running at all. She was just sitting there at the table, and he decided that had to be her.
"So, what name are we going by today, Mystique."
He walked over and pulled out the chair across from her, sitting down and propping his elbows onto the table. He clasped his fingers together and placed them against his lips as he stared at her. He hoped this would be quick, he had a prior engagement that he had to put off just for this meeting.

Her eyes lazily followed the crowds that began to swarm down the street and a weak smile pulled up at the corners of her lips as she continued to sip her coffee before she was finally joined by Cain. A small smirk came across her mouth when questioned about what her name for the day was.
"I assume you understand my need to be in disguise so let's go with something easy for the day." She glanced around, thinking of a name to fit her disguise. It wasn't as easy as everyone assumed it was, but the name of a bookstore caught her eye and she sighed. "Dawn, I suppose will do for now."
"I'll be honest, Cain, I was surprised when you agreed to meet with me. You see, I have a situation. I'm not comfortable being at rest while everyone else is occupied. I used to be very...active, but since Apocalypes took over the Brotherhood he doesn't trust me. He thinks my allegiance is with Magneto, but I haven't seen him in quite some time now. He could be dead for all I know. Now, I'd like to be activly working again, and I think we would both have something to gain were I to be working for you. I'm sure you wouldn't be opposed to having a spy and I also wouldn't mind being the invisible thorn in Apocalypse's side."

"Believe me, coming to see you on friendly terms was as much of a surprise to me as it was to you."
He listened to Mystique, or Dawn as she named her disguise, tell about her feelings towards the brotherhood and Apocalypse. He did like the idea of having a spy for the brotherhood, as well as someone with her talents and agility working under him. Something still kept him from giving his final answer though.
"I know of you and your business with the brotherhood and magneto. I can't help but wonder, what would keep you from turning on me? How do I know you're not just trying to lure me out in the open where your "dear apocalypse" can get me?"
Granted he wasn't too afraid of what Apocalypse would do, but having someone from the group willingly join him made him both interested and cautious. He had his experience with getting a willing subject, and Alex had managed to be won over by her bleeding heart friends. It made him only the more cautious about someone who is good at playing both sides joining him. He did think of a way for her to prove herself, just in case she gave him a good reason not to kill her out in the open.
