"She died because she gave her life to protect me and my friends. I don't care what you have to say about it, but to me that made her a real hero."
He was getting just as mad as her, but that was suddenly out the window when she spoke about Rose like...she really was Rose. His eyes widened as he looked her over, seeing Lily and yet, also seeing Rose. His jaw dropped as he looked at her.
"No way..."
He then thought about Cain and Shadow, remembering what Jane and Pitsha had said to him. She really was Rose, even if she didn't believe it. That meant if Shadow or Cain found out about her, she would be in a lot of danger.
"Look, Lily, I have to get you somewhere safe. Now." this time he spoke with both worry and a little fear, "Rose had a family, a very evil family, except for one other person. They were called the Nightshades, and their team is known as the Nightmares, and a very evil man named Cain is with them. Now you may not be her, but you have her powers, and if any of those people knew about it they would try and get you to join them, and probably put everyone you know in danger to do it."

To say Lily was confused was an understatement. She was completely mind bobbled! She had not said that! Well... She had, but those weren't her words. Why had she said that... as if she really was this Rose person? It had vanished so quickly though.... She didn't know what to make of it! If anything, it terrified her. Who wouldn't be scared from having an outburst like that but... Not actually being the one having it? Ugh, this was so confusing! Whatever was going on, it was only happening because this guy kept pushing her buttons.
"I'm not going anywhere with you! You're driving me completely insane!" Looks like she was blaming that strange outburst on him now... He was continuing though, as if absolutely positive she'd just go right along with his plans like a good little girl! She was scowling again. "I am not getting involved in your Mutant war!" Her outburst then hadn't 'Who the hell are the Nightshades, Nightmares, and Cain.', which didn't exactly help her case in convincing him she wasn't Rose. She didn't realize the slip up though. After all, she knew what a lot of things were now.... Things she hadn't even heard of before the accident.

"Please you have to trust me. You're in real danger."
Ian had his back turned towards the sidewalk, so he didn't see the figure rising up out of the pavement. He couldn't believe how easy this day was becoming. His distraction in New York, the assault on Xavier and Crystal's capture, and now Ian, caught off guard and ripe for the picking. He could've killed him at that moment, but decided that the nightshades could use a play thing, especially when Ian was a target for them now. Grinning, he held his hand out towards Ian, his arm turning into a spear that stretched out towards the boy.
Ian didn't see him, being too focused on trying to get Lily to safety. He didn't even know Cain was there until he felt a sharp pain in his side. His eyes widened as he looked down, seeing a gaping and bleeding hole in his side. He dropped down to his knees, looking up at Lily before dropping onto his back. Cain chuckled as he walked up, his cement form disappearing, returning him to his normal features.
"Ian Snyder, what a surprise." he smiled coldly at the young man, "Here I was taking a stroll from the mansion, and I find you. I'm sure Sky and Shadow would love to see you again."

"I'm serious! How many times do I have to say it? Just leave me the hell alone!" Lily was annoyed, partially because Rose had been pissed when she surfaced, and all that pent up emotion was only adding more fuel to the fire. This guy didn't know when to quit. She just wanted to get out of there before more 'craziness' rubbed off on her. And he was acting crazy... Mistaking her for his dead friend... Sure, there was that unexplained outburst, and he thought she had the same power... But that didn't make her that girl! Besides! When he'd shown her the picture, the girl was a lot younger then her!
She didn't have time for anything else though.. Because someone had just come out of the cement?! Shit, more mutants! Lily took a few steps back, her eyes wide in horror. She recognize the name. Not from the tv though, well, sure she'd seen some news reports where there'd been a picture of him, but this was different. She knew him.... Somehow... Someway... She just knew him! Before she could give out a warning to Ian, he'd been stabbed, and was looking at her in a strange way, before collapsing...
Lily gapped, covering her mouth with her hands when she saw the blood. Though not always known, Rose was terrified of the sight of blood, she'd just been good at hiding it. Lily on the other hand had inherited that same fear of blood... Only she couldn't hide it. Finally though.... she turned and ran. She ran as fast she she physically could, trying to get away from that place as fast as possible.

"Aw, did I interrupt your little date?"
Cain smiled at the as she backed away from him, then turned and took off. Ian was left on the ground watching her run, partly wishing she would help him, and partly thinking it was better that she did run. Before he could do anything else, he felt himself being lifted off the ground by Cain. Cain's eyes looking into his, that smile still on his face.
"Don't worry boy, there's plenty of company to choose from back home. If your lucky, I may convince Sky to let one keep you as their pet."
Ian grabbed hold of Cain's arms, trying uselessly to fight him. Finally, the pain had taken hold of him, causing his vision to become blurry, then suddenly just darkness. Cain chuckled and laughed, watching Ian's body become limp in his hands. His body began to change to the same material as Ian, causing the boy to do the same thing. The two began to sink slowly into the earth, soon disappearing, leaving the ground the same way as if nothing had changed. The only thing left was a small amount of from Ian's body. Before Ian's form was completely vanished, two words were sent out to anybody that would be able to read his thoughts.
Help me...
