The smells of roasting turkey, pies and stuffing could be smelled coming from the kitchen. Inside would be a sight that would floor anybody who didn't know Hank that well. He was in the kitchen, dressed in a white short sleeved shirt and black pants, his reading glasses on as he would glance to and from the cookbook that rested on the counter, and a white apron on with grease and other stains plastered on it.
Three pies rested on the counter, cooling down from being made, a pot of stuffing sitting on the stove, and next to it a pot of cranberry fresh from the can. He opened the oven, checking the turkey and the pan of sweet potatoes next to it, covered with marshmallows that were beginning to turn a golden brown. Thanksgiving was always a favorite time for him, and his chef expertise were always a sight to behold when he would cook for dinner.
Since he was baking for a school, however, he always had backup, which is why he was tending to two stoves instead of just one. He made sure that he had two servings of everything, from the pies to the stuffing and turkey. His ears perked up when he began to hear footsteps. He smiled, knowing that his helper was unknowingly about to enter the kitchen.

Kurt ported into the kitchen and sat at the table his head resting on the wooden flat surface he heard some one walking around but didn't look up instead just buried it deeper his mind hurting from rouge's earlier drain from him. He gave a groan his tail laying limp at his side he had not even rememebred to switch on his transduser and so lay blue head down and blue skin showing.
"Gott fühle ich mich dräniert (God I feel drained)" he said softly his hands caressing the back of his head as if trying to massage the pain away "Die Macht des Rouges sichere Sätze ein Schlag (Rouge's power sure packs a punch) " he said softly hoping who ever it was might have something to help him but he felt a strange warmth inside him at the though of having a sister.
Slowly he looked up and saw Hank busy cooking and he took a deep breath in imidialty he smiled and sighed "smells wonderful " he said trying not to wince at the sound of his own voice as he spoke to ask the question. He looked behind the man at the food he was prepering.
"do you vant help?" he asked hoping to finally be doing something to help the school instead of just sitting around and waiting for something to do.

Hank didn't expect the arrival of Kurt so suddenly, but had grown use to it. He couldn't help the small smile that shown on his face as Kurt seemed to massage away some major headache. He had been a doctor at the mansion long enough to know that Rogue had something to do with that.
"Thank you, I've been working on proper recipe's."
When his blue companion looked up and smiled at him, complimenting his cooking, he just smiled and gave a nod after speaking. He couldn't help the humor growing in his mind at the thought of two blue mutants being the ones responsible for making the thanksgiving feast, but he could use some help.
"I would in fact. Perhaps you could help with making some of the desert. I'm attempting to make pumpkin pie from scratch."
Granted his cooking skills with potatoes and turkey were acceptable enough to be called culinary, he wasn't too sure on how he would fair at making a pie. He hoped that Kurts expertise went beyond acrobatics and biblical knowledge, he would soon find out. He looked on his checklist to see what else is needed.
"Let's see. Turkey-check, sweet potatoes- check, what else do I need?"

Kurt looked at Hank and though for a moment he had never done a thanks giving meal before and as such had no clue where to start with the main meal but he did have thought what to make for dessert he had remembered he had helped make a Pumpkin and Gingerbread Trifle. Moving to the cupboard's he opened them trying to find what he needed, 2 packages of gingerbread mix, 1 box cook-and-serve vanilla pudding mix, 1 can pumpkin pie filling witch he found at the back of a cupboard obviously nobody wanted it,1/2 cup packed brown sugar, 1/3 teaspoon ground cardamom or cinnamon ether didn't change the recipe, 1 container of frozen whipped topping and last but no means least 1/2 cup gingersnaps. Once he had them all laid out on th table he began assembling first he baked the gingerbread according to the package directions and let it cool completely. Meanwhile he prepare the pudding and set that aside to cool. Stir the pumpkin pie filling he added the sugar, and cardamom into the pudding. Crumbling 1 batch of gingerbread into the bottom of a large, pretty bowl he poured 1/2 of the pudding mixture over the gingerbread, then added a layer of whipped topping. He repeat the action with the remaining gingerbread, pudding, and whipped topping. Then sprinkled the top with crushed gingersnaps, and placed the finished dish in the Refrigerator overnight.
He smiled as he closed the door as he hoped every one would like what he had done. At least it had stopped him thinking about his head ache which he had noticed had stopped throbbing. "I hope that is OK Hank " he said looking at him.

He didn't know what to expect of his helper, but as he watched Kurt gather the ingredients for something he hadn't seen before, his curiosity caused him to forget what he was doing and watch. As Kurt began to put together what looked like truffles, he smiled when Kurt asked him if it would be alright. Hank just nodded.
"I think it will do just fine, Kurt."
He began to sniff the air curiously, catching a scent of something being possibly done. He walked to the oven and opened the door, smelling the finished turkey and sweet potatoes. His stomache almost growled, wanting to be full of the baked goods that were coming out. He went to the counter and grabbed some oven mits, placing them carefully over his hands as he began to pull them out one after another.
"Kurt, would you mind grabbing the stuffing off the counter? Be careful, it's hot."
Hank carried the sweet potatoes to the table, then returned to grab the turkey. There was other things to be placed on the table including the casserole, rolls, and other items that made the Thanksgiving Dinner what it usually was. When the two had finished setting the table, Hank went back to the kitchen to begin working on the pies.
