Kyle tossed the basket ball up toward the hoop, but it hit the rim and bounced back toward him, almost hitting him in the face. He dodged it, ducking slightly, and then ran after it. After he caught up with it, he sighed. It finally rolled to a stop before him, but then he heard a strange popping sound.
"Uh oh," he picked up the ball and turned it over. There was a nail stuck in its side, and he groaned slightly. Why the heck was there a nail on the basketball court?
He was supposed to meet Taylor somewhere, but he'd honestly forgotten where. He knew it was somewhere on the school grounds, but he didn't know if it was the pool, the court, the track... it could have been anywhere. And he knew that she was smart enough to find him. And it wasn't his fault that he'd tuned her out.
He tuned everybody out, but he rarely did it with Taylor. Taylor was his girlfriend after all. Tuning her out was a no no, and he intended on thoroughly apologizing for it, until she couldn't take it any more and just had to accept it from him.

Taylor checked her watch and then her cell phone for the fourth time. She was leaning against the front gate, the place she had asked Kyle to meet her an hour ago. After a few more minutes passed Taylor checked her watch one last time before finally admitting defeat. Kyle had most likely forgotten, again, about where he was supposed to meet her. She shouldn’t have been surprised every person had a fault and Kyle’s was not paying attention to details.
Taylor let out a sigh before walking off to find her lost boyfriend. She had no idea where to look first, though she knew that it was highly probable that he was somewhere on the grounds. He knew when to meet her after all just not where. Though in her opinion he could have texted her and asked where instead of making her walk all around the school trying to pin him down.
It took her another thirty minuets but she finally found him at the basketball court. Taylor walked toward the other end of the court so he wouldn’t see her and leaned against the basketball hoop. She then folded her arms and waited for Kyle to notice her. Her stare was cold as ice.

Kyle kicked the flat ball and it just flopped over twice and sat still on the court. He sighed stepped on it, hearing the air come flushing out even faster than it had before. He jumped on it then until all the air was gone and then he picked up the pancake ball and slammed it into the hoop. Of course, now that it wasn't full of air, it just stayed, balanced completely perfect up on the hoop. And it didn't looked like it was going to fall back down any time soon.
He groaned, but not because of the stuck ball. Because of Taylor. She was going to strangle him. He forgot, AGAIN, where and when to meet her. He was pretty sure about the time they'd planned, but he honestly had no clue where. He sighed then and turned to head back. He jumped back in surprise to find Taylor leaning against the opposite goal. How long had she been there? Oh... now he felt even stupider.
He stood awkwardly then, trying not to seem completely startled by her sudden appearance. He rubbed the back of his neck nervously, "Uh... hi... Taylor..."
What else was he supposed to say? Her glare was deadly, and he didn't know if she'd forgive him this time. Sure, he was getting her to open up a little bit now, and she truly didn't care about her. He was just so disorganized that he couldn't keep up or remember anything. His mind was like his powers. Constantly flowing and not staying still like water. He thought, Please don't kill me...

Kyle was in trouble. Oh Kyle was in big trouble. She could forgive him for forgetting where to meet her, but he didn’t try to find out where he was supposed to meet her. He had had an hour and a half to either ask someone where she was or he could have even texted her and asked where he was supposed to meet her. But no he was here playing basketball. She kind of felt it served him right that his basketball had broken.
Taylor continued to wait for him to notice her. Since his ball was flat it shouldn’t take him very long to turn around and notice that she was there. When he decided to annihilate the ball more then he already had she was surprised. She was even more surprised when he tried playing with the now useless ball.
Then the moment Taylor had been waiting for happened he turned around. He jumped about a foot in the air when he noticed she was leaning against the basket, and she was almost tempted to smile. Almost. When he started to greet her Taylor held up her hand to stop him. “You forgot again didn’t you?” It didn’t seem that her gaze could get any colder then it already was, but it did.
Taylor had already decided to forgive Kyle, but that didn’t mean she wasn’t going to make him suffer first.

Kyle just ran his hand through his short blonde hair, staring down at his very used converse in reluctance. He hated himself for forgetting their meeting place again. It wasn't his fault, not entirely... Okay, it was mostly his fault, but he couldn't help it. He happened to be a little ADD when it came to remembering things that people tell him. And he had looked for her. Sure, he could have searched for her longer, but he was too lazy and he liked the basketball courts.
"Yes...." he muttered, glancing up to see her dark expression. Her eyes seemed a little softer, though. He knew she'd probably forgive him, but even though her frown and expression were grim, there was a little twinkle in her eye that told him that she was amused by this.
"But I did try to find you," he suddenly said and approached her a little closer. "I checked the whole first floor but you weren't there, and I started to make my way around the grounds, too, but I stopped when I found the basketball," he explained.
He sighed then and stopped right in front of her. He gave her a small, apologetic smile, "Can you forgive me... again?"
