Jane...who is Jane?
He couldn't believe he was sitting in his room and next to the phone. What made it more disturbing is because it was due to a conversation he had with a complete stranger. He reached into his pocket and pulled out a piece of paper that had nothing but a name and number on it. He looked to the door, making sure it was closed and locked, just the way he wanted it right now. He always made sure to keep it closed and locked. Another look at the paper, and he shoved it back into his pocket. He stood up, running a hand through his hair with an aggravated sigh.
"What am I doing?"
He walked to the window, the rain beating on it like drums. The storm had hit not long after he got back to the mansion, and even that didn't seem to distract him. He placed his arm against the window and rested his head against it. Pitsha had basically taken his world and flipped it upside down with one conversation. He looked out over the grounds, watching the rain fall from darkened clouds. What would Jane be able to tell him? Was Rose really still alive?
She knows Cain. Why would I trust anybody that knows him?
He walked back towards the middle of his room and began pacing around, wondering why he would follow the advice of a woman like that. Sure he knew Cain, but the way she talked about him, but more like he was an acquaintance to hers. Then again Sky also knew Cain, and she wasn't too bad, at least not that Ian had noticed. He stopped, taking a glance at the phone again and giving a slight aggravated growl.
"I must be crazy or stupid." he said, walking over to the bed and sitting down. He took out the paper and looked over the number, taking the receiver off the phone as he held it to his ear and punched in the number. There was a few seconds of silence, followed by a ring, and then a voice.
"Hello?""
"Hi...is Jane available?"
Who's calling?
"M-my name's Ian...Ian Snyder."
