Rose instantly spotted Ian's reaction to Shadow's name. So he hadn't thought of the possibility of her being there. Bone head mistake number 1. Perhaps she should do a three strike system. Three mistakes, and she forces them to come back. Hm. That would work.

Rose would have smiled brightly when he lunged out to hug her, if she wasn't set on staying miffed at him. Instead, she just scowled, though it was obvious she was fighting the urge to grin.
"Yeah, well it better not be any of those stupid sports, or deal with throwing balls in any way." She paused, her eyebrows furrowed together. "Or sticks. Or kicking. Basically no sports. Even in the slightest." She was certainly very set on no sports. After her first encounter with Baseball, she'd decided she hated them. All of them.

He smiled and couldn't help but give a small laugh when she started counting off anything that had to do with sports. He nodded, though trying hard not to let her know he was seeing the side of her mouth twitch as she tried to fight a smile.

"Deal, no sports. I'll let you decide what we could do."

It was a great way to get his mind off of what they were about to do. But then his face became serious and he looked around to the others. He hoped that Shadow wasn't there, that everything would go well, and none of them would be killed or injured. He couldn't bare the responsibility to explain what had happened. But they all volunteered and he looked around once more before looking to Rose.

"Let's go"
