She couldn't move fast enough... She couldn't protect him... She couldn't be useful to him... Isis was lost in the drowning thoughts of despair as she carried the one she called 'En Sabah Nur', or Apocalypse, to the only people she knew could help him. She's transformed her body into an African Elephant so she could carry him, but even then she slightly struggled with the weight. How long it took her to reach them... She didn't know. She didn't stop for anything. Rest, food, even water. One step in front of the other, not giving up.
She was forced to travel through forests and mountain ranges, to avoid all contact with anyone. If anyone saw her, what would they do? She wouldn't risk it...
Finally, at long last. The school... She could see it. But how to get in and not be attacked? The front Gate... But if she were seen by any humans, it was all over. She had to be careful. She decreased her size so she wouldn't be spotted as easily, before bolting for the gate. She used her trunk to push it open, inside right when a human looked to see what it was he had heard, barely missing her.
Isis had made it... But she couldn't keep her body changed any longer. She didn't have any energy left. Her body slowly shrank, changing back into her human form. Forcing herself to get up, she draped Apocalypse's arm over her shoulders to pull him towards the doors, though was unable to move him more then an inch, exhaustion finally catching up with her. Gasping for breath, she could see someone walking towards them...
"Please... Please help him..." Her cheeks were tear stained, her eyes pleading as she begged this person. "You have to... help him..." She was standing and speaking by sheer will now, her body having absolutely no strength left. She didn't even have the strength to cry anymore, though her mind was screaming in agony for her fallen master. Even if they didn't intend to, any telepath at the school would hear her screams, her thoughts like daggers to them. "Please... please....!"

Ian was on his way back from playing catch with Rose when he saw something odd happening near the gate. Something told him to be careful as he approached who ever it was. The girl, or what seemed to be an elephant changing into a girl, looked stunning and yet more egyptian then anything else. The man, or what looked like a man, was laying unconcious next to her.
"Wow, somebody turned that guy into a giant toaster." He said softly to himself.
He ran up in time to hear the girl pleading for help, and when he saw that she couldn't stand for long, he helped her sit down and relax. Thankfully that bottle of water he had grabbed on his way back from playing hadn't been opened yet. He twisted off the top and handed it to her.
"Here, drink this. What happened?" He asked both with worry and curiosity.

Isis didn't resist when the student forced her to sit down, just about losing consciousness from complete exhaustion. When she was offered the water she couldn't even raise a hand to grasp it, not like she would though. She had to get Apocalypse the help he needed before she accepted any help for herself. So, she just turned her head away from the water to stare at him, her eyes still pleading. "I don't know...! Please.... help him..."She turned her shaky gaze to Apocalypse, wanting to reach out and touch him... To be able to help him herself.
Where were the X-men? Xavier would have felt them approaching, so why was it a student to help? But a student was better then nothing. "Help him..." If he didn't make it, what was Isis supposed to live for?

He knew he couldn't force her to drink the water, and he wanted to help. But neither of them could lift a man of that size by themselves. So once again he offered her the bottle of water in an attempt to help once again.
"Look, we need to get him inside, but I can't do it without your help. I need you to drink this and get your strength back, otherwise neither of us will be of any use to him. Understand?

A part of her wanted to laugh at him. Did he know how far she had carried Apocalypse? Like a little water would give her any strength whatsoever. But he was right. He wouldn't be able to carry Apocalypse on his own, no normal person could. "I'll... carry him..." Isis weakly pushed him away, forcing her muscles to transform into another animals, one capable of carrying him. She struggled to her feet, draping Apocalypse's arm over her shoulder again. "Where..." She couldn't even complete a sentence anymore, she didn't know how much longer she could keep going, but she had to for Apocalypse's sake...

"Man, are all women this stubborn?" He asked as he watched her change.
He knew she was having trouble carrying the man, a part of him was very weary about helping, but he knew both of them were in trouble. When she put an arm from the man over her now animal shoulder, he took the other arm and placed it over his. He grunted a bit, feeling the weight like a hundred pounds. He looked to her, giving her a little smile.
"Down into the hospital wing. I'll help you get there." He said, struggling a bit with his words.

Isis didn't say anything, just ignored what he said about being stubborn, and then when he said where they were heading. She let him 'lead', following him to where the Hospital Wing was. Each step was harder then the last, her transformation slowly weakening as they carried Apocalypse, but somehow she held it...
She didn't see any other students on the way to the Hospital Wing, but when they finally reached it, she almost sighed in relief. Finally... help. Isis was so relieved her will was no longer enough to keep her moving. She transformed back to normal, the weight suddenly doubling for both her and this student. Unable to hold the weight, she collapsed, weakly looking to the infirmary. "Get... the doctor..." Her eyes flickered shut.

Each step with the two felt like it was taking an hour just to lift up a toe, but they two struggled as much as they could. His legs felt heavier and heavier and he couldn't understand why until he looked to the girl across from the body. Her form was changing back into human, and he couldn't help but feel impressed that she's trying so hard. He couldn't blame her though, he would've been the same if this was Rose they were carrying. When they finally got to the hospital wing, the weight was too much for either of them. He looked to her when she requested that he get the doctor. There was only one person he could think of at the moment as he struggled out from under the arm.
"Right away...stay awake until we get back." He said, getting out from under the man's arm.
He disappeared in a literal flash, zooming all over the compound for Beast. When he finally got the man, he came back with Beast rushing all the way, jumping over students and off of walls and ceilings. But he stopped in his tracks when he saw who exactly was lieing uncocious.
"Good Lord, Ian. Do you know who you just brought into this compound!? It's Apocalypse!" Beast said, looking scoldingly and worriedly at Ian.
"Apocalypse? Who's that?" Ian asked.
"WHO'S....HE'S THE LEADER OF THE BROTHERHOOD!" Beast finally yelled, the color now draining from Ian's face.
"Oh...crap. What have i done?" Ian barely got out of his mouth, both of them looking to the bodies lieing on the floor.

Isis did as she was told. Stay awake... She propped herself against the wall, resting until the student returned with a doctor, her gaze never leaving Apocalypse. Why had this happened... Why?! And who had done this to him?! She would hunt that person down until the day she died! When she heard people approach, she forced her head to turn in that direction, watching the student tagging along behind a beast of a man. He was the doctor...? When she heard him yell though, suddenly her own anger started to boil, enough to give her the energy to stagger to her feet, leaning heavily against the wall as she fixed them with a dark glare. Something about her gaze though... You could feel the pure agony all the way to your bones. This wasn't just her 'leader'. "DON'T CALL HIM THAT!" She hated the name Apocalypse more then anything in this world. Just about collapsing, she forced her anger to keep her standing. "He is... En... Sabah Nur..." Isis was starting to black out, but something kept her going. "Only family..." She started to slid down the wall, no longer able to stand any longer. "Have to help...."

"Hey!" Ian was at her side in a moment, helping her to her feet and moving her to a chair to sit down. He ran out and was back in seconds with water and food for her to eat. He then turned his attention to Beast, who stood there wide eyed at him.
"Are you mad, Ian? You brought them here and now they'll know where our base is!" Beast said.
"I didn't bring them here. She came here looking for help. I figured that since this is a place that helped people, then it wouldn't matter what or who they were." Ian argued.
"If I help Ap...En Saba Nur out, then he'll come to life and destroy us!" Hanks voice was rising.
"And if he doesn't, then there's a good chance he'll die!" Ian said, "You and I both know that a doctor's priority is to his patients, evil or not!."
Hank sighed, rubbing his nose again. He hated the fact that he was going to help out the one person he would rather see destroyed. Unfortunately, Ian got him right where his weakest point was. He was a doctor, and as such he couldn't allow anyone to die.
"Alright...alright. Help me get him on the table." Hank said, finally defeated.
Ian smiled proudly, and with renewed strength, he helped Hank get Apocalypse up onto the table onto his back.

Isis wanted to keep talking, tell them that it wasn't a secret when it came to the schools location. Tell them that she was the one who had carried Apocalypse all the way from Alaska to here. Tell them that it didn't matter if Apocalypse was 'evil', her life was meaningless with out him. But finally, he was getting the help he needed! Finally...
The tray on her lap slid off to clatter on the floor, Isis doubling over. Her eyes fluttered, a part of her wanting to stay conscious for Apocalypse, but that was no longer enough. She didn't have to struggle anymore... Her eyes shut, and she was gone.
((Well... gone as in passed out.. not gone as in dead! D: ))

Both turned when they heard the tray clatter to the floor, the glass with the water shattering on the floor.
"Ian, quickly, clean that up and lay her on the bed next to him." Hank said.
Hank was now glad Ian was here, for the boy's speed allowed him to not only clean up the mess in seconds, but get the woman laying down on the bed. Hank went to work getting an I.V. ready to put fluids into the girls system. Ian had to look away towards Apocalypse, mainly because he didn't want to see the needle going into her arm. He had a weakness for needles. After a few minutes, Apocalypse was attatched to the monitor showing his status, while the other girl was getting the fluids she needed.
"How is he?" Ian asked, walking up to Hank who was standing next to Apocalypse. Ian knew from the sigh Hank gave that the answer wouldn't be good, and it wasn't.
"He's barely hanging on to life, Ian." Hank said, rubbing the glasses he took out of his pocket, "Whoever or whatever attacked him did him great damage. I can't get into his suit to see how bad it is, and the only one that knows the mechanics of this thing is lieing in the other bed."
"Do...do you think she'll wake up before him?" Ian asked, looking from the girl back to Hank.
"Ian...I'd be surprised if this man ever woke up at all." Hank answered, and both now had a look of worry in their eyes.

"I know how it works." Somehow, someway, Crystal had gotten into the Institute. Maybe it was her youth that made it so easy, everyone she'd run into just thought she was a new student. And even more surprising, was that she somehow got into the Hospital Wing with out Ian or Hank spotting her, leaning against the wall with her head tilted a little. The girl had followed Isis all the way here, with a few adjustments though. Like she would have walked the whole way. Hitchhiking was the way to go.
She straightened, almost skipping over to the two who stood by Apocalypse's body. A thought popped into her head. Why would they believe she knew how it worked? Rarely anyone believed she knew what she did. So would they be different? Or would she have to prove it?

Hank and Ian both gave a small yell and jumped when they heard the voice. They both turned and saw a young standing in the doorway. Both regarded her curiously when she skipped her way over to Apocalypse, then looked to each other and shrugged. They would've doubted her comment of knowing how the the suit works, but these past few days had made them start to believe anything was possible lately. Hank was the first to speak.
"What is your name, child."
"And how do you know about the suit?" Ian added.

A question. Crystal's expression went completely and totally blank, of everything. "Crystal Miller."The tone she used was just as bare as her expression. Question answered, she seemed to 'return', curiosity touching her expression, though the emotion was very weak. Another question... Once again everything vanished from her expression and voice. "Because I know everything." A second later, she fixed Ian with a 'I dare you' sort of look. "You don't believe me, do you? I can prove it. Ask me anything, well, anything that is verbally or physically manifested." She paused, running fingers through her hair.
"I could tell you the exact time, down to the milisecond that this happened. Or how long it had taken Isis to carry him here. Personally I'm surprised she didn't die." Another paused as she leaned forward to gaze at Apocalypse. "She carried him from Alaska to here with out stopping once, for anything. She kept muttering about you guys being the only ones that could save him." She shrugged, gazing up at them again. "Is that proof I know everything for you? I could go into exact detail what you were doing earlier today, Ian Snyder and Hank McCoy." She truly was a know-it-all.
