Rose's eyes went wide when Sky spoke of unexpected company, whirling around to stare dumbstruck at the approaching Sentinels. Sentinels?! HERE?! She only thought some of the Brotherhood would be a threat! But SENTINELS?! Only Ian speaking back to her did she calm down, forcing a smile. "I'll hold you to that then, and you better not forget it."
Racing forward she grabbed the terrorstricken Alex by the arm, yanking her back and towards her sister. "Sky, Alex. Get. Out. Of. Here." The look she gave them left no room for doubt. "You're liabilities out here. How are we supposed to protect you if you can't protect yourselves? Sky, please, help Alex calm down. The last thing we need is for her to go into shock." Suddenly she paused. "Ian, just so you are aware, that is my older sister Sky." What a crappy way to introduce the guy you liked to your family, but it would have to work for now.
When she heard what the Sentinels announce their intentions, she could help but smirk, her anger starting to boil. "Don't worry, Ian. I have a promise to keep, don't I? I won't let them take you." She kept her voice low, but the strain from her anger rising was already slipping through. Raising her voice again, she spoke once more. "But boy, these guy's must not have much common sense, even for robots. You don't tell the enemy what your going to do or who you're going to take. Sky, isn't that rule 32 with the family?" She was only half joking. It probably was one of the rules they had to learn, but whether it was 32 or not, who knew.
Taking several steps forward, standing right next to Ian now to face them, she crossed her arms across her chest, head tilted as she stared at the monstrous robots. "I wonder what their made of this time. I don't recognize the metal...." With out a second thought she quickly set up a barrier around the mutants that had gathered, clear in color so the robots wouldn't notice it. Of course, if you were to look from a certain angle you'd realize that something was there.

"Right, count on it."
He looked up as the Sentinels scanned the area before beginning their assault. Ian watched Rose take command of Alex and Sky. He had to admire her, even in the face of something like this she was cool. Guess that's one thing he had to thank the Nightmares for, she was a long stronger then last they met. When Rose introduced Sky to Ian as her sister, he gave her a surprised look. He thought the Nightmares wanted her , guess he was wrong. He shrugged and nodded.
"Hey Sky, hope I didn't interrupt anything earlier. I'll explain why we came here when we get out of this."
If we get out of this, he thought to himself. Even though Rose didn't know what they were made of, something about the material struck a memory inside his head. Without making a comment to Rose, he made a few quick laps around the sentinels before even they knew about it. He went back to Rose and looked to her, a little more then worried.
"Good news and bad news." He said, "Good news is, I know what they're made of. Bad news is, it's adamantium, the same stuff that Wolverine has in him. They have to have a weak point somewhere."
The Sentinels began their assault, and one fired at the two of them. He grabbed Rose and dove out of the way of the blast. He looked at her to ask if she was ok, but felt something wrap around his ankle. He soon felt himself being lifted into the air by one of the cords that shot out of the sentinels hand. The sentinel lifted him up to analyze him, and Ian stared back. After a few moments, his eyes widened and he turned to Rose.
"The eyes! Aim for the-"
His notice was cut off by a painful scream as electricity shot through him. He felt himself slip out of consciousness, unable to see the hatch in the sentinel's chest open. The sentinel placed Ian inside and closed the hatch. It turned to it's companion.
"Priority mutant, captured. Returning to base. Continue mutant extraction."
The rockets in the sentinels feet blasted it into the air, while the other turned and began firing at the island and the mutants both on and inside of it.

((Yeah. Not gunna let that happen so easily Tom ^.^))
Rose felt like hitting Ian when he tackled her for no real reason in her mind. "Ian, you idiot! I had a force field up!" He'd knocked them both out of her barrier, probably why they had been able to grab Ian right then. Of course, her anger at him vanished when Ian was electrocuted and stuffed into the cavity of one of the Sentinels. But if she'd been angry before, her anger now was like an Earthquake, her whole body trembling as she rose back to her feet as the hatch closed. "Hey, Tin cans... I. Will. DESTROY. You."
Suddenly, her angry lashed out, wrapping a force field around the retreating Sentinel, so strong that it literally ran right into the invisible wall and rebound. "Eyes... huh...? Her voice had gone cold, able to send chills down anyone's spine. Taking a few steps forward, she completely ignored the Sentinel attacking the Island. All she cared about, was the one holding Ian inside it.
Reaching out with her power, she did the one thing people hated her doing. She created a force field inside the sentinel, well the eye specifically. With no hesitation, she had it expand so rapidly that the eyes actually blew apart. But she didn't stop there. She targeted the head, force field inside it, and expanded. The shell may be Adamantium, but the interior parts weren't. If luck would have it, everything inside the head dome would be crushed up against the adamantium shell, instantly disabling the machine.
Again, that wasn't where she stopped. The feet were next, the rockets that propelled it into the air. Part blew apart everywhere as she repeated the process. And who ever said Force fields weren't offensive? If anything, they were the perfect offense and defense.

The sentinel that had Ian trapped inside of it was a couple miles from the ground when it began to jerk and twitch in the air. It's face, feet and hands exploded as the insides were crushed by an unseen force. It's body crashed to the earth, falling through the ice and sinking into the water. The other sentinel continued it's assault on the rest of the island.
(short I know, but the best I could do)

Rose shot into action, running as fast as she physically could to where the Sentinel was crashing into the ice. She hadn't meant for that to happen! And Ian was unconscious! Sure, the cold water might wake him up, but unless she got the hatch open, it wouldn't matter. He'd drown.... Her heart felt like it was being ripped in half because she'd been to angry to even consider such a thing happening. She'd promised to protect him, but it was her fault he was probably drowning now!
Reaching the spot in the ice the Sentinel had crashed down into, she didn't hesitate for even a second as she dove into the frigid water. Ignoring the cold as best she could, she reached out, uses her little 'explosions' to break the hinges on the hatch, the chunk of metal breaking away with ease. Of course there was one advantage to this water. It really woke you up. Which meant no matter how tired you'd been before, you could use the full force of you're power.
And there was Ian... unconscious still... Swimming faster, she grabbed hold of his wrist, pulling him from the hunk of metal she'd destroyed, and back towards the surface.
Breaking the surface she gasped for breath, but decided her need for air was less important to Ian's life. Using her power once more, she create barrier 'steps', pulling him up onto the ice and out of the water. Now she had to chose. Make sure he was okay, or take out the other Sentinel before it realized what had happened to it's companion. "Ian? Ian, wake up!" Her voice was shaking, both from panic for Ian's life and from her whole body trembling from the cold.

His body jerked as it hit the cold ice of the ground. He barely heard Rose calling to him as his eyes slowly came into focus. He began to cough, turning over as he coughed up some of the water that made it into his lungs. He was on his hands and knees, seeing the hold that he had no doubt fallen into. He looked over to Rose, and everything else vanished as he wrapped his arms around her. He couldn't stop himself as he suddenly kissed her as well. He then broke it, smiling a bit as he hoped he didn't go overboard.
"Thanks. I owe you one."
His attention was brought to the sounds of blasts and screams as the mutants were still being attacked by the remaining sentinel. He tried to figure out how to bring it down, then looked to where the other fell in. He wasn't sure how he escaped, but had a feeling Rose had something to do with it. As he watched the shadow of the Sentinel fade in the water, his eyes widened and a smile slowly formed. They're just giant robots on a sheet of ice. That's it!
"Rose," he looked back to her, "I have an idea."

"Thank God...!" Was all that escaped Rose's lips when Ian started coming to. Rose felt like just collasping, her nerves completely shot from the scare she'd had. "Don't you dare get captured again. Otherwise I really will hit you!" He had no idea what she'd done when he'd been caught. And hopefully, he wouldn't find out. If he realized just how violently she'd thrashed out, she might just scare him to death. She almost blinked in surprise when he suddenly folded her in his arms, and-
All train of thought came to a screeching halt when their lips met. Did he just...? But before she knew it, the kiss was over and he was thanking her. Instantly she blushed furiously. "Just don't get caught again. That water was cold." She was trying to distract herself from him kissing her. But only when she heard the commotion from the other sentinel did it work. She jerked out of his arms, stumbling to her feet, still dripping wet from diving into that bone chilling water.
She paused when he mentioned an idea, slowly looking back at him and trying to smile. "You better say it then. We don't have much time before it realizes what happened."

"I know, that's the best part. I'm the priority mutant right? It has to come after me now that I've escaped the other one." he said, giving Rose a wink, "With a little help of course."
He tried to fight off the cold that was threatening to turn him into a popsicle. He knew she was having the same problem, and once the other Sentinel was out of the way, they'd have plenty of time to warm up, and maybe her and Sky will have plenty of time to catch up. He always wanted to meet a member of an evil family who didn't want him .
"I'll lure it towards the hole made by the other one. It won't catch me this time, not when I'll see him coming. I'll give you the cue, and you use one of your force-field things to knock it into the water. I just hope it will be strong enough, aim for the back of the knee if you have to."

Rose listened in pure silence to what he planned, as if reassuring herself that the plan would work. There was one flaw, but she could handle it. No need to mention it to Ian. She didn't want him knowing she was doing it after all. She'd have to disable the rockets on it's feet so it didn't escape before it fell in the water. Slowly, she nodded. "Okay then! No time to lose, let's get moving before it does more damage. Besides, you're reason for coming here might just work if they see we were the ones to save them." She smiled faintly, before her expression went serious again. "I'll stay here, you get it's attention. If need be, I could probably weaken the ice if we can't get it to this hole."

"Yeah, you're right, it could work with both the brotherhood and the Nightmares. At least...with your sister anyway."
He smiled and listened as Rose worked out an extra part to the plan. He couldn't help but feel proud to have her as a friend, at least...he wasn't sure if that kiss made them more. Even though he wanted to be more then friends, he still had to take her on that date. He smiled as she finished and kissed her cheek.
"You know you're even more cute when you're like this." he sped back towards the Sentinel, standing behind it, "Hey! Tin man! Your "priority mutant" hasn't left yet!"
"Priority mutant escape, initiate recapture." The sentinel announced, turning from the others towards Ian.
"That's it tall, dark and ugly, come and get me."
The Sentinel advanced on Ian, launching out the tendrils from it's hands. Ian was right when he said he would be able to notice it, for his speed kept him out of range while drawing the Sentinel further out towards the hole. Since the distance the other had flown was short, getting the second didn't take long at all. Ian went stood right on the edge of the hole that was made, the Sentinel coming close. As soon as he was sure the robot was on thin ice, he looked to Rose.
"Ok, Rose, Now."

Rose blushed even more so when he kissed her on the cheek and mentioned her being even more cute when serious. A part of her said he'd think that as long as he never saw her as angry as she had been when he'd been captured. Instantly though, he was in route, and their plan had begun. She waited, ready to strike when he gave the okay.
She couldn't help the sinking feeling when those tendrils shot out at Ian again, as if expecting him to get caught once more. She reassured herself though, telling herself over and over he wouldn't get caught.
Rose waited until Ian said her name. Instantly she lashed out with her power, Creating a large barrier behind the Sentinel and letting it expand so quickly it seemed to explode and sent the Sentinel toppling over. But she wasn't done, even if Ian thought she was. Reaching out again, she focused on the feet, repeating her destructive attack and sending the jets shattering from the rest of the metal body. Crap. That wasn't supposed to happen. Ian wasn't supposed to have seen her do that. To late now though....

Ian smiled at her when he saw the barrier come behind the Sentinel and knock it over. What he didn't plan on was seeing another force shatter the robot's feet from the rest of it's body. His eyes widened at that, and saw the Sentinel heading straight down onto him.
"Oh boy, gotta go."
Using as much speed as he could, he picked up Rose and ran out of the way of the falling robot. He ran and almost skidded to a stop near Sky and the others. He turned in time to see the Sentinel crash through the ice, sinking into the water. The body ed the ice enough to where what remained of the legs fell through and sank as well.
"I kinda feel bad. They didn't even have life jackets."
He chuckled and laughed, not thinking about how he had ed a joke at the wrong time. It was his habit, but he also did it to hide a thought that was in his head. He had a feeling he knew where these things came from, but not how they were able to be made of the same adamantium as Logan. His eyes widened and he gasped, immediately putting two and two together.
"I think I know where Wolverine is."

Rose didn't complain or struggle when Ian quickly scooped her up in time to avoid falling into the ice themselves. Only when she was set back down on the ground did she sigh softly, shaking her wet hair and quickly rubbing her arms quickly to stop them from going numb. "Yeah, well I don't. They almost took you away." Her expression looked furious once more, annoyed by the thought t hat he'd almost been taken.
After a few moments, and Ian suddenly announced that he knew where Logan was, she shot him a shocked look. "Where?!"

"I'll explain later, right now we have to get everyone inside. We're going to need help if I'm right."
He was staring at where the Sentinel fell as he said this. He then looked to Rose as she was shivering, and it just clicked into his head about what she said towards him. He didn't know she had cared so much about him. He turned her towards him, rubbing her arms gently as he tried to warm her up, smiling as he did.
"Besides, you're freezing. We need to get you somewhere warm."

Rose slowly nodded. "Well, inside or to the school. But inside is closer." She was about to move to go in when Ian grabbed her, turning her towards him and rubbing her arms for her. Blushing furiously, she quickly stumbled back, extremely embarrassed that he would do such a thing in the first place, but especially in front of her over protective sister, who, if she took it wrong, might mentally attack Ian. "I'm okay, it's nothing. Besides, you should worry about yourself. You were in there to. And with you're speed, you're more freezing then I am." It was a wonder the cold air rushing past him hadn't completely frozen his clothes and body.
