"What are you doing here? You can't be-"
A guard approached him, only to be impaled by a metallic blade. A small laugh as the blade lowered, exposing Cain in his metallic form. He had been looking for a separate spot to escape in case the factory in Japan was compromised. He then remembered the MRF, and couldn't help but see what was going on inside.
"Ah...home sweet home."
Another laugh as another guard was speared. He saw the rest of the security guards coming towards him, and with one stomp of his foot, spikes came up from the ground and impaled them into the ceiling. He smiled and looked up at the men as the life left their eyes.
"Pitiful humans."

Jackie had stayed clear back during the exchange, watching with interest but making sure to say out of Cain's way until he had dealt with the humans who came to stop him. She wasn't sure why Cain had brought her to the gloomy place. The white walls annoyed her eyes, the tiled floor was a horrible pattern, and the whole place stank of bleach. Wrinkling her nose a little, she pushed the wheels at her side forward, the wheelchair gaining much more momentum with the even, floor, making less work for her arms.
"And what exactly is this place...?" She brought herself to a halt only a few feet behind Cain, her gaze slowly dropping to the murdered guards, that shadow smirk of her's returning. Though after a few moments it vanished as her nose wrinkled once more. "I hope we won't be here long. I don't exactly like the smell of bleach, and they must have cleaned the whole place with it." Bleach, often used to 'wash away' blood. Why not just leave it? The smell of blood was much more welcoming then the disgusting bleach.

"This, my dear Jackie, was once the base of the Mutant Research Facility. My first and only employment before I left."
He chuckled as Jackie began complaining about the place. He had to admit that the smell of bleach was overwhelming, but he was sure that when the bodies began to rot it would fill the place with a much more pleasant smell. He turned and walked up to Jackie, gently touching her cheek with his hand. He stared into her eyes with his, still void of kindness as they always were.
"There's more here then you can believe. How do you think the idea for the sentinels came to pass?"
He smiled and turned, heading towards the elevator. He knew that this place had it's own base of operations under it. He decided to scout out the area for any information on where the others went. He decided he could turn this place into his own army complex, perhaps do some recruiting of his own.
"You and I are part of a greater plan. A plan that will allow us to rid the world of humans and mutants who don't see our way."

Cain? Working for someone other then himself? THAT certainly surprised Jackie. She didn't think Cain ever the type to take orders, before or now. She probably would have laughed, mentioning the fact if he hadn't suddenly turned back to her to softly touch her cheek and meet her gaze with his own. That dark, emotionless gaze sent shivers down her spine. So exhilarating! She smiled faintly, all thoughts of complaining gone.
So this facility had some importance. And who would believe Cain to retreat to New York if anything were to happen? Who would think he'd come so dangerously close to those who sought his destruction? She smirked a little. Who would ever even think that Cain was not alone in this? She just followed Cain as he approached an elevator, pondering over her own thoughts, and Cain's words. "And what sort of part can this place play in the plan?"

"Merely an escape plan, my dear, in case we lose the factory. One must be prepared for such occasions."
He pressed the button for the elevator and waited. When the elevator doors opened, he stepped in and waited for Jackie. When she joined him, he pressed the button that sent them into the lower levels of the compound. He couldn't help but smile at the thought of what lay under the building. He gave a small chuckle as the doors opened and he stepped out into an abandoned laboratory that was used for testing and sometimes torture of mutants.
"What a delight to know that the fools who built this place and left it, never knew the potential it could have."

"Ah..." And who would have expected the escape to be in one of the largest cities in the world? Right under the enemies' noses... She steered herself into the elevator quickly before the doors closed, thankful to notice that there was no. elevator. music. She almost sighed in relief at the silence. When the doors reopened, she let Cain lead the way, keeping a small distance between the two in case. "Only the opportunists can see the true potential in everything they come across."

"Which is why only you and I will be allowed in this place. Not even those that follow us will be allowed down here. Any who do will die."
He walked down the hall of the lab, looking in each room to see that everything was set the way he wanted. He walked into the main control room which was just as big as the interior of the other factory. What was surprising to those who had never seen it, was the fact that there were more conveyorbelts with parts of sentinels on them. Cain smiled.
"Ah, the birth place of the sentinels. Shame that it was shut down long ago."

"Oh really." She smirked. A place that only she and Cain were allowed? She didn't mind that idea. And at least down here it didn't wreak of bleach. If anything it seemed like no one had been down here in some time. "Why did they shut them down, I wonder?" She couldn't help her gaze from wandering down the assembly line, not a single Sentinel even near operational. It was like, they'd just stopped. Vanished. Leaving everything exactly the way it was.

"Those fools in the humans government made laws to prohibit mutant capture. The sentinels were shut down before their true potential could be unlocked."
Cain walked over to the control room and punched in a few keys. He smiled when the lights on the control room and inside the base itself came on. He looked around, glad to see that things weren't as bad as they first appeared. He chuckled and walked back over to Jackie, continue to look around as he did.
"At least the humans kept this place in good repair."

Jackie just smirked. "Then they must be in even more shock now that the Sentinels are back." She pulled her gaze away from the assembly line to watch Cain as he messed with the control room. When he approached her once more, her smirk softened just a tad.
"Humans certainly can be idiots. Leaving all of this here, as if they didn't expect the technology to be used against them." She paused. "And to only have had those few guards. It's a mystery no one has found this place until now."

"Indeed. I'm sure the president of these humans is making his report right now."
Cain chuckled at the thought of the president making his usual speech whenever a crisis comes up. He knew that whether or not the speech was made, people won't listen because they will be too busy running for their lives or being destroyed by his creations. When Jackie commented on the lack of security in a place like this, he couldn't help but give a small, inward laugh as he agreed with her.
"Perhaps they thought that nobody would be foolish enough to venture into this place and take it for themselves." he looked to her with his usual smile, "Unfortunately, they neglected to think of someone more powerful then them."

Jackie smirked softly, one of her hands half covering it as she pressed the fingertips to her lips. "Soon, I would imagine that he may call for.... foreign help. Well, once they discover what exactly Adamantium really is." Certainly, many would doubt the metal was indestructible, once it was realized though, all hell would break lose. But who would he call to is aid? The X-men? Other mutants? Other countries? She wasn't sure, it all depended on what sort of man the president was.
Jackie was already trying to figure out what the lack of guards could mean. There was always the options they'd already mentioned, and hoped it would be, or.... "What if they sabotaged the parts?" Her own voice surprised even her, the words escaping before she could have stopped them. Holding back a sigh, she decided to continue. "Or some other part of this facility? I wouldn't put it above them to do such a thing. Perhaps they left this place as bait, to lure power hungry individuals." Slowly she turned her gaze back to Cain. "Have to checked for anything out of the ordinary?"

"Indeed, one is never to sure the help that could be called."
He continued working on the keyboard as Jackie continued speaking. He could tell the worry in her voice, even though she tried to hide it. It only made him give his own small smile, did she really think he wasn't prepared for such incidences. Just to put a little shock into her, he pressed a few buttons. Indeed the alarms in the building began to go off, just as he wanted them to, and a few more presses of the buttons caused the alarms to stop and the lab to become silent. He stood straight and looked to her.
"My dear Jackie, did I not tell you I use to work here in this facility?"

Jackie almost felt like scowling when he purposely set the alarm off. She would have jumped if Cain had had the same sort of reaction. But watching him, she noticed that he didn't seem at all concerned. So he'd done it on purpose, just to prove something to her. With a sigh, she shrugged, shaking her head. "It's never a bad idea to double check. Though I hate to admit it, sometimes humans can get rather clever." And they most certainly could. How very clever when they invented the Sentinels in the first place. So, why wouldn't those same people do something to protect their investment?

He smirked at her when she scowled, seeing that his little joke was played perfectly. He walked over to her, smiling as he did. How beautiful she looked when she was angry. Though she had a valid point when she said that humans could be clever at some points. He placed a hand on her cheek once more, caressing her skin as his fingers once again went through her hair.
"Humans may be clever at times, but they're in full, stupid." he said, "They left their investment because they thought the had no more use to it. When the usefulness of certain items are done, humans usually discard them."
