Circle Ansari ran as fast as his ten year old legs could carry him. His feet were pounding on the path toward what he'd been told was the runaways hideout. Bloody cuts and bruises were all over his neck, arms, and hands. A bag full of marbles crashed together in the pocket to his winter jacket. His messy curls bouncing up and down as he ran. All of his wounds made it seem like it was the result of self mutilation. Circle would have much rather had that been the case. He tripped over his feet, skidding across the ground and lying there. Breathing heavily.

((Coco had been kidnapped but that never finished, so somehow, she escaped.))
*Coco stumbled through the trees, along her favorite path that she had found. It ran across the actual path a few times and she was coming up to it. But she heard something strange, like something falling on the ground. Prancing to the trail, she came upon a boy that looked her age and badly hurt. She looked around but stood there, just looking at him.*

Circle attempted to stand up, failing though. He fell back onto his knees. Mentally telling himself that he was close to the Runaways. He was currently in the state he was in because of his mutant power. He had been trying to steal some new clothes from a clothing store. He had succeeded to. Grabbing a backpack that he stuffed with all the essentials. Including his new winter jacket. Unfortunately he'd been caught. Circle grabbed a shopping cart in fear. His emotions got the better of him and he transmuted it into antimatter. He'd been on the way to finding a group of mutants called the Runaways.

*Coco walked up in front of him and knelt to the ground. She cocked her head to the side and stared. Whoever this was, they were hurt and in trouble.*
"I'm Coco. What's your name? Are you a mutant too? You don't have any candy, do you?"
*Coco wasn't too good at talking to strangers, and it wasn't any better with kids her own age.*

Circle wasn't expecting the girl to walk up to him. But by the questions she asked, it seemed like he'd found the right place. Candy? Was he supposed to bring an offering or something to this group of mutants?
"My names Circle. and yea, i'mma mutant," he said, almost sheepishly. The young boy scrounged through his pockets, taking out one of those after mints from fancy restraints. "Dose this count as candy?" he asked, holding it out to the Coco.

*Coco immediately let out a blood-curtling scream, falling backward on her bottom. As soon as the candy was out of his pocket, it flew to Coco as if like a magnet. It attatched itself to her neck, seeping out of the wrapping and forming a small transparent, yet flexible shield in that area. The wrapper fell to the ground quietly. Coco squirmed as the shield formed and shot an angry look at Circle.*
"If you ever bring candy from the store to your room, make sure I am not around. This happens!"
*She pointed at her neck where the tiny shield was. She sat there for a second, then smiled. She stood and grabbed his hands. Coco pulled him to a standing position and started pulling him off the path.*
"I know a shortcut back!"

"Well usually when a ten year old asks me for candy, i assume they want some," Circle said, reacting to the blood curdling scream. Still though, seeing what her power did to her, he thought it would be best if he listened to her. When she pulled him down the path, it caught him off guard. It took everything he had not to transmute her into antimatter.
"So, your actually gonna take me there??" Circle asked, keeping pace with her as best he could.

"Of course, silly! 'Anyone I find out there that isn't a bad guy, bring back to the Hideout.' That's what Exie always told me! ...More or less... Anyway, you better memorize where we're going and the path we're using. I won't show you again unless we go out and play!"
*Coco started giggling as they ran. There seemed to be no path she followed by, jumping over thickets and ducking under broken limbs. It had been a while since Coco had found someone out here, but the first time they weren't a bad guy. Exie would be SO proud of her!*

Circle nearly killed himself running through the brush. He had no idea who Exie was but he nodded anyway. Since Circ had been on his own he'd became an expert at memorizing. As he struggled to keep up with Coco he ran his fingers across the trees and took in giant notches and marks. These would help him distinguish the path later. A broken limb nearly took his head off.
"So, uhh.. How much longer now?" Circle asked, clearly exhausted. At the words 'go out and play', he perked up. That actually sounded sort of fun. The runaways seemed like a good place to be. Seeing as this girl wasn't completely miserable.

*About when Circle mentioned the Hideout, they jumped through one last thicket and there stood the Hideout. It wasn't much, a pretty rusty old building, but it was so much more inside. A giggle bubbled up inside Coco and she looked at Circle.*
"You stay here and hide in that thicket we just came out of. I'll go get Exie. He's bound to be here somewhere. But, if I can't find him, I guess I can't get Conner cause stupid Nelly took him away... Oooh, I'll go find Wicked. Haven't seen her for a few months!"
*Coco ran off into the building, not even looking back to see if Circle had obeyed her instructions. ((You post and then I'll get Exie to post))*

Crux was coming back to the hideout from his walk, when he heard Coco's voice nearby. It was kind of hard to miss because she was always so bubbly. He didn't know her that well, but had seen her around enough to know her happy voice anywhere. We're exact opposites, he thought. She's always happy and I never am. After her voice faded, he walked in that direction to find a little kid standing there.
He tilted his head to one side. "Who are you?" he asked curiously, then added, "Where'd Coco go?"

Nessa came back from her most recent visit to the local pub. She had wanted to see Aaron, but Nessa found no sign of him since that mutant named Cain went on a rampage. Heaving a sigh, she entered the hideout, only to find Crux and a kid. Wind swirled around her, unconsciously letting her power out.
"What's going on...? Who's the kid?" Nessa was always suspicious of new people, thinking that they might be spies. But a kid? She kept her guard up as she went to get herself some food and cocoa. "Who brought him here?"

Crux turned to Nessa the moment she spoke. "No idea. Coco seemed to like him but she vanished. I know I heard her happy voice coming from this direction. But once I got here she was gone." He shrugged at her, shocked that he'd said so much at one time. Why was he all of a sudden talking so much? He never said more than two sentences - even if that much - at one time...
