Rory had glanced over at what appeared to be an ice pillar holding the building up in the middle of the room. Then he had to do a double take when he saw that the rock man was inside the pillar. He raised a brow slowly in question, and shook his head slightly. Well, it was working, and desperate times call for desperate measures. When he turned back, Freya was only inches away from him, causing him to lean back in surprise slightly.
Rory didn't know what to think, she was crying yet she looked angry. He couldn't tell if she was about to hug him and cry, or burn him to a crisp. Suddenly, before he could even react, she had brought her hand up and slapped him. She really did just slap him! His head spun to the side from the force of the hit, which she obviously meant and his jaw dropped in shock. He turned back to her slightly, afraid she would try to hit him again or something.
"OW!" He said loudly, though it wasn't really said in pain, it was said in a way as if he were yelling "WHAT THE HELL!". A hundred questions came to his head, but the only one that came out was, "Why?... If this is the way you express compassion, I'd hate to see you express your love." Suddenly the sister walked up and asked him his name as if her sister hadn't just slapped the crap out of him.
Rory didn't take his confused eyes off Freya when he answered, "Names Rory... And no, I'm not from around here." He heard a cracking behind him but still didn't turn around, even after hearing the stone mutants voice. Rory was still trying to figure out why exactly he deserved a slap for dying. At least he had been right, emotion was her weakness. But this was one of the first times someones weakness had caused him pain.

She wasn't crying yet, or it looked like she wasn't... But if you were to pay close attention, her tears were evaporating as they fell. Stupid Rory! Stupid, stupid, STUPID RORY! She felt like hitting him again. In her mind? He deserved getting hit again. But no... She wouldn't. Couldn't. "Jerk..."
Freya stepped away from him, still just as furious, and emotional as before. Oh, if he came back every time he died, how she was tempted to kill him now, just as payback. She wasn't that childish though. She didn't bother trying to come up with a witty comeback to his, instead, she just glared at him through her evaporating tears as her sister started her interrogation of the man.

Rory was still dumbfounded by the events that just happened. It was silent for a moment after Freya had called him a jerk and moved away from him. He'd never been put into a situation like this, so he didn't really no what to do. Though really, who has been in a situation like his? "I don't understand... I die trying to save your life... And you're mad?" He was no longer making a snarky comment or dig at her or the situation, it was obvious in his voice that he really did want to know what was going on.
When he heard the stone man suggest the hurry up he nodded slightly, "Aye... Perhaps it is time to leave." He said as he still watched Freya, a bit of remorse for the whole situation in his eyes. He stepped over some rubble, walking close by Freya as he slowly made his way for the door.

Freya looked shocked by his question, as if she hadn't considered this herself. He'd tried to save her, and she was mad at him? God.... Freya was so messed up... And confused.... And just about every other emotion all wrapped up in some chaotic gift. "You died though! I... I watched as the life just left you!" No, she wasn't mad at him. Quite the opposite, she was so relieved he'd... well come back! She was mad at the emotions she'd been forced to face when it happened. So, she took it out on the one that cause those emotions to come out.
"I... I made a stupid mistake, and killed the guy even though he had those stupid bombs strapped to him! I could have killed all those police officers, and civilians!" She closed her eyes, not wanting to look at anyone right now. "I just.... I don't know why I'm mad at you, okay?" Freya couldn't understand it. Nothing made sense. Should she be happy right now? That he wasn't really dead? Shouldn't she be, grateful for what he had done? So what was making her so mad?!
Was it anger? Freya stopped. Was she really mad at him? Or...
Rory was walking passed her now. Her eyes opened, and before she could stop herself, her fingers had closed around his wrist, trying to stop him. "I'm scared. That... Because of me, you had to go through that. Because, if I hadn't been so worried about losing control with you and the other civilians inside, you wouldn't have died." She let go of him, emotions running wild. "I'm angry... Because, even if you're used to it, I got you killed." Freya looked away, unable to face him. He probably thought she was such a child, her reason for being angry at him so childish, letting her emotions control her in such an erratic way... She wouldn't have blamed him if he just walked out, not even responding to her.

Rory simply listened to Freya try to explain her emotions as he headed for the home-made door. Though she made it clear why she was upset, it made him even more confused as to why he was the one feeling her anger. "Well, he's lucky ye got to him first, because if he were still here when I got up... I would have ripped him limb from limb." When people killed him, it tended to make him understandably angry.
As he walked by Freya, though, he suddenly felt her grab his wrist and stop him, forcing him to listen when she began to speak. Normally he would have just walked out without saying anything. Not because he was upset, but because generally he didn't care about anyone or what they felt or why they were upset. Yet, for some reason he stayed and listened, then actually chose to speak to comfort her.
"Ye didn't kill me lass, nor were you even the reason for my death." He said as he turned to face her completely, "I got killed because some idiot thought he could bring me down with a gun... If anything it was my fault for not paying attention to me surroundings... Besides, it's all over now and I'm back... So cheer up." He said comfortingly, with a slight wink.
This was probably one of the first times that Rory could remember that he had actually taken the time to try and comfort someone. Perhaps it was because he was no longer in the agency, or perhaps it was just something about her... A bigger problem for him now was where to go. The cops outside and the civilians had seen him, they would tell stories and describe him. Eventually the agency would learn he was here and come for him, and when they got involved, lots of people tended to die. So he couldn't go back to work for the newspaper, he was going to have to disappear... again. At least until he found somewhere else to go that the agents couldn't find him.

Tari calmly watched Rory and Freya talk and felt a smile creep up on her face. Perhaps...Freya and Rory were...
Soon, the police were arriving and Tari let out an exasperated sigh. "That's our cue to leave, all. Let's get going before interrogations start. C'mon, lover girl, we need to go to the hotel. You can see him later." She grabbed Freya's hand and pulled her out the back of the building. She froze a wall and then reheated it, causing it to collapse. Soon, the two sisters were off to their hotel.

Bobby stood there next to David as Rory and Freya went back and forth. He had to admit there was a certain part of him that felt Rory deserved that slap after the comment he made. As the two continued their discussion, he saw the smile slowly showing on Tari's face. He didn't know why she was smiling, but he was smiling cuz it seemed amusing to him. He also heard the sirens coming and looked to David.
"So much for pizza." David said, Bobby nodding then looking to Rory.
"Hey, we're heading to the mansion. You're welcome to join us, and don't worry Freya knows where it is."

Rory watched as Freya's sister drug her away. Part of him was a little upset to see her go, though he couldn't explain why. After all, he generally disliked everyone he was around. He quickly shook away the feelings though when he heard the sirens. He needed to get out of here fast. If the cops found him then the agency would find him a lot faster.
He glanced at Bobby when he offered to take Rory to some mansion. Those two lived in a mansion? That was interesting. He was about to decline the offer when it occurred to him that he really didn't have anywhere to go now. Perhaps laying low at this "mansion", which was likely some fraternity house, might be a good idea. "Ye know what, that sounds like a good idea... Lead the way, boy-o." He said, turning to Bobby and preparing to follow him out. Though he did wonder why the boy mentioned that Freya knew where it was. Did the boy think he liked her?... Now wasn't exactly the time to ponder it however as the cops were beginning to pull in front of the building.

"Time to go."
Bobby led the way out the door, David breaking from the "ice pillar" Bobby made him out of. Bobby turned and placed an extra layer of ice along the ceiling to keep it in place a little longer, then he and David led Rory out of the bank as the cops were making their way over the melted van. The two led Rory down the back alley and onto some side roads, knowing their way well enough to get to the mansion safe.
