After the introduction to Jackie and his new family, and a brief mission briefing from Cain, he sped off towards the mansion to find Rose. It didn't take him long to get there, in fact it only took him a few seconds. He looked around at the mansion with a small smile on his face. He couldn't believe this small place used to be his home, and he couldn't help but wonder if he will be able to witness the school's destruction.
But he placed those thoughts behind him as he pulled out a small dart, the very same dart that was used to knock him out. He made sure to add a little extra since the one used on him took a while to kick in. He knew Rose's power from both experience and the video Cain had. That only meant that Rose had to fall and fast. He continued walking the grounds, hoping to find Rose soon. Cain tends to be a bit impatient, and that he knew from experience as well.

Rose didn't know what to believe. Had her sister been telling the truth? No way! He couldn't be on Cain's side! Ian would never join Cain's army! The thought was completely insane! None the less though... She had to consider.... Sky had never lied to Rose before...
Ugh! What was she to do?! Should she go talk to the Professor, see if he could straighten things out? Help get some answers? She didn't know....
Rose was perched up in a tree, staring blankly up at the slow moving cloud. She wanted to sigh, how she wished she could be a cloud sometimes. Never having to worry about these stupid emotions....

He was getting more then a little frustrated with trying to find her. How hard can it be to locate a that resembled the Nightshades? He continued to look around until he spotted something in the trees. After taking a closer look, he saw Rose sitting in the trees. He composed himself the best he could before walking up to the tree. He smiled, placing the dart in his jacket pocket and calling up to her.
"Hey! Daydreamer! Where ya been?"
He smiled up at her, feelings still stirring inside him even though he was changed into a member of Cain's army. He hoped that when he got her on their side, she would be more open about her feelings towards him.

Sky stayed at the bench where she had warned Rose and her sister had walked out on her. But a familiar mind had wandered onto campus and Sky narrowed her eyes in fury. Ian. He was here already...and he was here for Rose. But as much as she wanted to protect her sister...Rose needed to see things for herself. Sky sat back down on the bench and observed things from afar. But...if Ian completed his mission, no way was Sky going to let him take her baby sister to Cain.

Rose didn't know where Sky had gone after her 'warning'. In a sense, she was almost glad her sister had decided to leave her alone to think. She had to figure things out...
Her time was cut short though when she heard Ian's voice. Looking down at him, she smiled softly. Somewhere though, in the back of her head, her mind was trying to decide. Was he evil now? Should she trust his word, or her sisters? She knew she couldn't just ask Ian if he was good or evil. If he was good, he'd be offended, and say he was on the good guys side. If he was evil, he'd lie and say the exact same thing. It would get her no where.
"What do you mean, where have I been? You're the one always getting up and vanishing!" She tried to act normal, push the nonsense thoughts out of her mind.

"You know me, I can never stay in one place for long." he said with a laugh and a shrug, "I missed you on our date though. Was waiting for you for a few hours."
He gave her a mimicking pout as he continued to look up at her. He took a few steps back like he usually did, and within seconds he was sitting next to her on an opposite branch. He looked to her with the usual smile he had on when he was around her. He reached over and brushed some hair away from her face, looking at her as he always had. Even though he was on Cain's side, his feelings for Rose were never changed.

Sky gritted her teeth. Rose was hesitating! After all the warnings she had given her, Rose's feelings were getting in the way. She wanted to scream and kill someone, but Sky had promised Rose she had come in peace. And Rose needed to see for herself if Ian had changed or not. Ro-chan...don't you dare hesitate! She muttered to herself. Don't interfere...don't interfere. Chanting that to herself, Sky held herself back from killing Ian right then and there.

Rose shrugged, still struggling to push those thoughts out of the way. Ian wasn't acting out of the ordinary... "Yeah, well you sort of forgot about something. Us students have something called detention when we do something stupid." She hadn't stood him up on purpose. As soon as they'd gotten back to the school, the X-men had really let Rose have it, giving her a weeks worth of detention for her pointless, and stupid adventure. They obviously thought Rose had been the ring leader for the trip, and hadn't bothered trying to correct them. She'd take the fall for the others stupid mistake...
Rose knew Ian would be in the tree in the blink of an eye. He'd done it before. When he was finally settled, she spoke up, having to force the words out since they wouldn't come willingly. "Sky came to visit earlier. Here, at the school." She had to make sure of something. Watch his reactions, Sky had warned her, and even though Rose didn't believe Sky's words, Rose's guard had been put up. She had to reassure herself that Sky had been lying.

"Yeah...sorry about that. I should've been there to take the fall."
He didn't want to tell her that the reason he wasn't there was because Alex had taken him. That would blow his cover completely. He looked at her with a shocked look on his face. Sky was here? Did she know why he was? He had to think of something fast, but again the only concern he had was Rose.
"Sky was here? Did she hurt you? What did she say?" He looked back to the school, using that moment to hide the anger towards Sky in his eyes, "I hope we don't have to alert the others. It's bad enough Cain's out there, but if the Nightshades are making their move."
A hand gently took ahold of Rose's hand, and he turned and looked to her with true worry in his eyes, "I don't want to lose you again."

A soft laugh escaped Rose's lips. No, she wouldn't have let Ian take the blame for that. The X-men might not be able to give him detention, yet, but they could have banned him from the school. She didn't want that happening!
Slowly Rose nodded, noticing Ian's confusion. Yeah, she'd been just as confused. But no, that wasn't what surprised Rose now. It was that Ian had jumped to the conclusion that Sky had hurt Rose! Sky would never do that! "She just came to talk!" She paused, her anger flaring a little. "Sky wouldn't help Cain! Shadow might, and maybe the rest of my family, but not Sky!" Wait a minute... How did he know the Nightshades were getting involved..?
When he took her hand, she fixed him with a blank look, as if unable to decide on something. "How.... How did you know my family was on Cain's side...?" Rose only knew because of Sky, and because she knew her family's handiwork. Ian didn't have either of those to rely on. So how had he found out...?

"You're right, I'm sorry. I should've thought about that. Sky's the only one of that group I can tolerate, even if she gets a bit annoying. It's just a hard time that's all, I've been on edge lately"
It was definitely a stupid move on his part. Though he wasn't lieing about being on edge. When she mentioned about him knowing the Nightmares and Cain's army joining, he mimicked a look of surprise. Yeah he knew they had joined forces, but he had never mentioned anything like that to Rose.
"Rose, I didn't even know they joined. All I meant was that we're just recovering from Cain's assault, and if Sky knows where this place is, no doubt Shadow might. We can't stand another attack, especially from your family. We'd all be killed and who knows what would happen to you."

Sky just had to smirk when Rose threw Ian off-guard. She was figuring it out, finally. She sent a private message to just Ian.
"You're a good actor, Ian. For a brat." Sky lightly threatened, with a teasing note. She was definitely toying with him. But she never let up her guard. Rose could still be in considerable danger and Sky wasn't going to let him take her.

"This is my first time seeing this school..." Angel's expression was peaceful and she wrapped her cloak around her tighter as she walked along the grounds. She felt a tidal wave of different emotions. Worry. Fear. Concern. Deceit. Wait...Angel zeroed in on this person's mind, just for the sake of being curious. Ian Synder. He had deep feelings for someone special to him...and he was next to her. But...he was deceiving her in a way. But Angel didn't look any further. Teenager's had the most chaotic emotions. Other emotions rammed her. Sadness. Loneliness. Despair...lots of despair. Something terrible happened here.
"All right. Where should we start, do you think?" Angel turned to Tim, a thoughtful look on her face.

"It's not my first time, that's for sure."
He looked around the place, remembering the attack that had happened only a couple days ago. He still remembered the massive amounts of sentinel junk that littered the front lawn, but still couldn't help but wonder why nobody showed up. He was amazed at how fast they cleaned things up, but then again this was a school full of mutants. He looked to her when she asked where they should start and just shrugged.
"My best guess would be a member of the faculty, or someone that knew Alex or Kaia."

Rose just sighed. What was she supposed to think? The way he had spoken sounded as if he was positive where her family's allegiance stood. But no.... Ian couldn't have meant it like that... It wasn't that hard of a guess to figure out what her family was up to.... But what was she supposed to think?!
Rose put her face in her hands, unwilling to look at anything at the moment. "I can take care of myself, you know." Why was she suddenly annoyed? "I'm not as weak as you think..." Why was Ian always acting as if the smallest of things could break her? She was stronger then that! Maybe it was her sister's warning that got her mood so out of whack....
