A New Reunion (Rose, Cain)

Rose was hating today so far. She remembering things she didn't want to. Mostly feelings that kept consuming her to tear of Ian's head. But.... something made her curious. Why had Shadow taught her? The way everyone had been talking about Shadow... They kept saying she was the driving force in having Rose killed.

Ugh. What was she supposed to believe?!

Slowly, Rose was beginning to grow unstable. With emotions she couldn't understand, her soul breaking from trying to kill Ian... She couldn't take it anymore. Rose stayed curled up in the corner, face hidden by her hair as she buried her fingers in her long locks. A barrier started forming around her, but.... it wasn't normal. No. THis wasn't like any barrier she'd created. No one had seen anything like this. It was black almost pitch black, eyes barely able to make out her form inside it. And it was moving, distorting. One thing was obvious though, Cain and Sky had to move, and fast. The barrier.... was forming into spikes, and jagged edges.

Cain's hold on Sky slowly began to release, his curiosity turning completely to Rose. Something was going on with the , something definitely not good, especially in his case. Some sort of black force was wrapping itself around Rose, like a dark cocoon. What had worried Cain was that it began to turn ly, spikes and jagged edges forming all around it.

"Sky, we must move. Now."

Without another word, he took Sky's hand and led her to one of the farther rooms from Rose. He entered the room with her and closed the door, a concerned and irritated look on his face. What was she doing inside his building now? He was beginning to think bringing her here was a bad idea.

"What is going on with that ?"

Sky immediately turned around, feeling Rose's emotions spiking and her unstable state just broke. Her eyes widened when she saw Rose's barrier turned black and had spikes. She immediately walked out with Cain and understanding lit her face.

"The barriers have broke." Sky then turned to Cain. "Rose's power isn't limited to just barriers...she can shape those barriers in anyway she wants. It was created when she was unstable, so when she was younger, I sealed off some of her powers of shaping those barriers. Her powers caused her to become completely unstable and do what she's doing right now. But now...they're broken. I need to put her to sleep so she doesn't destroy the building."

Sky then reached out with her mind and triggered the sleeping mechanism in Rose's brain, causing her to fall over unconscious. Once Rose was out, she then turned to Cain. "We need to take her to Shadow. Now."

"What?"

He looked at Sky with complete shock when she spoke of Rose's barriers. He knew that Rose had incredible powers, but enough to destroy an entire building? That's just madness! And yet, looking into Sky's eyes, he could tell that it was true. When he heard the barrier fall, as well as Rose, he moved out cautiously to her. He walked over and picked her up, walking over to Sky.

"I was able to travel with two before, but I've never tried it with three. Do you trust me, my love?"

Sky nodded.

"I trust you, Cain. Let's go."

Soon, she went up to Cain and wrapped him in a tight hug.

Cain nodded when she said she trusted him and wrapped herself around him. He kissed Sky's head, then used the floor beneath him to change his form to the same material. He touched Sky, allowing her form to change with his, and he did the same as Rose. He had to concentrate on his powers or he would lose them both. The three of them sunk into the ground, leaving the building empty.
