Sky sat in a reclining chair, her emotions just out of whack. She was throwing up and a lot of morning sickness. She was pregnant. Sky noticed a little bulge in her belly, but not much. It was only ten weeks since she tested herself.
Cain had asked Sky to spend a few nights in his facility and she didn't mind. There was a lot to do in New York City and she loved it. It was boring on the island. But the problem was that Sky's power was completely out of control. Sometimes she would affect people when she didn't mean to. Sky had accidentally put someone to sleep and accidentally made someone go crazy. But luckily, those people weren't very important. Obviously, the pregnancy was affecting her. Already, she could sense a presence in her body...it was a strange thing. Sky didn't know what to make of it...but it filled her with a drive to protect this baby.

It wasn't long before Cain and Rose arrived. He didn't know Sky was waiting for him, even as he walked up the door with a young trailing behind him. Cain was smiling again, but it was a new smile, a colder and more evil smile then even he could've wore on his face. He had two of his dreams fulfilled in one moment, and by one . He still couldn't get the image of Ian's broken body dropping to the ground.
Rose had done it all. Ian was , or close to it, and Cain had claimed Rose and turned her to their side. He would be more then happy to show Sky and Shadow, and with a little help Rose would be more powerful then even himself. He walked through the doors, looking around at his new home, he then turned and looked to Rose.
"Welcome to your new home, you are free to do here as you wish."

She'd killed Ian.... Rose had murdered the only person at the school that had tried to get to know the new her! She'd tortured him to death! Crushed him... The images kept haunting her, making her feel nauseous and light headed.
Somewhere along the way to wherever Cain was taking her, Rose had come back to her senses. When she had, she'd just about thrown up, forcing him to stop for a moment. The rest of the way, she was just trying to keep the images out of her head.
She'd decided on one thing though, she was a monster... She'd enjoyed hurting Ian like that. It terrified her. She'd done all those things with out even a second thought... No, she wasn't terrified of her actions, she was terrified of herself. Losing control like that.... What was she supposed to do?!
Rose didn't say anything as they arrived, she was still looking a little green, and traumatized by her own actions. "Did... I... Kill him..?" Please let him have lived! Let him have somehow escaped, that he was alright. She wanted to go back... To make sure she was tricking herself. To be able to call herself a liar and see Ian was alive...

Sky soon heard Rose's mind enter and her eyes widened. But when she sensed Rose's despair, she worried. Calmly, she walked over to where Rose and Cain had entered. When Sky looked more, she realized Rose had remembered her training from when she was still with the family...and that she probably killed Ian. Sky eyebrows rose in worriment. The former Rose was so fond of Ian...
"Hello, Cain. It's nice to see you back with my sister." Sky reached up and kissed him gently. "Thank you for keeping your promise." She then turned to Rose and resisted the urge to go to her and hug her. Rose was confused enough as it is.
"Hello, Rose...I'm Sky. I'm your sister, as you've probably been told." Sky didn't want to push it. "You're welcome to do as you choose here and you may ask questions if you want. I'll be here for a while."

"I saw his body drop, Rose. Yes...I do believe you killed him." he looked back to her, "I'm sorry..."
He looked a head, his serious face turning to a cruel smile. He was not at all sorry that he saw Ian fall . He wanted to keep that memory inside his head forever, relishing in the fact that the boy who had destroyed his factory and his plans before was now lieing crumpled in the woods, waiting to be found by those mutants at the school. But that thought was replaced by a look of surprised as he saw Sky, his love, coming towards him and kissing him. He placed an arm around her and returned her kiss.
"My love, it is good to see you." he said after the kiss was broken, "I hope you made yourself at home, when did you get here?"
He turned and stood next to Sky when she looked to Rose, welcoming her sister into the building. He took Sky's hand in his, hoping the bond that they just shared proved his words even more back in the woods. Rose wanted proof that he and Sky were together, and that moment had been the proof.

Rose near broke into tears when he said Ian was dead. She didn't though. For some reason... She just couldn't cry. Instead she just wrapped her arms around herself, looking away. She really was a monster..
A voice Rose didn't recognize greeted them. When Rose dare look, she noticed a resemblance between herself and the older woman. This was... Sky? She was pretty... And she had this strange happy glow to her... She might have wondered over her sister longer if she weren't already so moody and down. But... Maybe Sky could explain what had happened.... Why Rose had just lost control like that... "Why... Why did I kill him...?" Why did she know how to kill in the first place? Why hadn't she hesitated?

Sky eyes softened in sympathy and worry when Rose came up to her and asked why she had killed Ian. "When we were young, we were trained severely on how to combat others. How life is to kill or be killed. We had it drilled into us...to not hesitate to kill others. That their lives were meaningless." She didn't know what to think of that anymore. Sky held Cain's hand, finding comfort in his touch. She had softened when she became pregnant. Sky wondered if that happened to all future mothers?

"I must go for now, darling, I will return shortly."
He used a finger to turn Sky's face to him, only for a moment to kiss her gently once more. He then placed a hand on Sky's stomache, touching the one of many things the two of them shared. He then passed by Rose, placing a hand on her shoulder and stopping to look at her.
"You mustn't worry for the lives of others. It is a part of who we are, we protect ourselves when we are in danger. Ian was a threat, as were the others, you did what had to be done."
He then continued walking, exiting the building and leaving Rose and Sky to themselves. He left for two reasons: One, because he didn't like seeing people get emotional over things that were small to him. It made him feel sick at how weak it would make them. Two, he had to tell Shadow the news, knowing that the leader of the Nightmares would be more then happy to know that not only was Rose unable to remember anything, but she was returning to the way she once was.

Rose looked away when Sky spoke. So... she was a monster... Her family had taught her this. Her FAMILY! What sort of family was that.
Rose wandered off, not wanting to face reality right now. Sure, she'd hated it at the school, but she hadn't wanted to kill anyone! She'd just... wanted space! Wanted them to leave her alone so she could remember something! She didn't want to remember this...
She wasn't sure where she was going, deeper into the building, away from Cain who'd caused this. Why had she come with him...? Finally, she just curled up against the wall, her arms wrapped tightly around her knees as she buried her face. She wanted to forget it.... Forget she'd hurt Ian.... She started to concentrate, reaching for her power.
Please.... Make me forget again...! Rose.... was trying to lock away the memories of today.

Sky just watched Rose as she walked away, worried that her sister was falling apart. Her mind was so fragile and she saw that. But Sky didn't know how to handle this...but she couldn't let Rose go deeper into her depression.
"You don't know Ian's dead, Rose. Did you even check? The X-Men are excellent at healing their people. They're probably taking care of him as we speak." Sky didn't think Rose had it in her to just...kill him, after losing her memories like that.

"You didn't see him..."
Rose closed her eyes, everything running through her head again. It had been like she was on autopilot, and was unable to fight it. The events started to repeat for her, the thrill of battle triggering a blood rage inside her, one that utterly terrified her, Ian not giving her any choice in who to go with sending her into that mad frenzy. Ian's horrified expression as she pushed him around like a rag doll.... Smashing him against the biggest, strongest tree near by and completely crushing him. The blood.... Oh God, she could still see all the blood!
Rose's face started to turn green again as she fought the urge to throw up. There as no way... No way in heaven and hell that Ian had survived that. Sky had been wrong, Rose hadn't hesitated. Her already hateful feelings to everything that had known her before had only called back her training. Not why she had left, or any other memories of the family to tell her that what she had been doing was wrong. All she knew about her old self.... Was making her a monster.

Sky saw all the emotions running through Rose and how she recalled nothing but her training with the Nightshades. She sat down next to her.
"Would you like me to check for you?" The school was nearby, so Sky could strain her power to reach that far. It was about the length of the island that she used to monitor for intruders or guests. Sky just didn't want her sister to fall apart from all of this.

Rose nodded vigorously. Yes... She wanted to know if there was at least a chance that he'd survived! What she didn't realize though, around the time Sky would check, Hazel and Hank would be giving their prognosis, there was little to no chance he would survive the night... As Rose sat there, beating herself up over her vicious attack on Ian... Something started coming back to her. Her last memories.... The images weren't coming to her.... But the feelings were. Betrayal. He'd betrayed her. He deserved what she'd done to him! He was evil! Rose cried out, her hands over her ears, as if trying to block out the emotions and thoughts. He deserved it...
He hurt you first...
He would have killed you... Even for only remembering her training, she'd been far more ruthless then anyone had expected... But now Sky would see why. Those locked away emotions of betrayal and anger towards Ian for what he'd done... With out even realizing it, those emotions had driven her to torture Ian beyond anything else...

Sky noticed that Rose had remembered her feelings about what Ian had recently done. But soon, her mind reached out to the X-Men School. She sifted through all of the minds of the students, seeking out Ian's own mind, but she had a hard time finding it. Sky was beginning to fear the worst...
Sky then spotted Hazel and Hank in their infirmary, while Ian lay dying on a nearby bed. She noticed Hank had destroyed a coffee pot and was grieving, while Hazel kept trying to keep Ian alive. Sky then delved into Ian's mind, checking if he was going to be okay...

When Sky entered Ian's mind, what she would see would even scare scare Shadow, if not worry her. All around was just a barren waist where a field should've been. The trees that were so lush and full of life and memories were now gnarled and , reaching towards a red sky as clouds of crimson flew overhead. Not far from where she stood, on a cliff edge that leaned out over a black ocean, stood Ian. He wasn't dressed or even looked like the Ian one would see outside. He was dressed in black, his hair was the same cut, but was black as well. He wore dark sunglasses over his eyes, for reasons that would be revealed later.
"Come to gloat?" the emotionless voice echoed through the dieing world inside his mind, "Can't you leave a dieing man in peace?"
