Rory's powers never had really gotten out of control with him. Mostly because he didn't have powers like Freya, they weren't completely offensive or quite as liberal. Nor could he completely control them, they were very subtle, but very powerful regardless. Of course, he did know mutants like Freya could lose control, he had seen it happen many times. Though usually it was in the middle of fights when they lost control, not when they were kissing someone.
Rory gently lifted Freya back up onto the bed, still in a kneeling position in front of her. He shook his head and laughed a bit, "Don't apologize, gra. Ye didn't hurt me, even if ye did I wouldn't care... Besides, it was kind of fun." He said with a wink, really the only reason he had pulled his hand and lips away from her was the sudden surprise of the heat.
"Besides, that was one of the hottest kisses I've ever had." He said with a smirk, that was both a literal and metaphorical statement. Now he was trying to take her mind off the fact that she could have hurt him, not like he really would have cared. Pain was there for him, but he had endured so much physical pain through his life it took a lot more than she could probably do to really bother him.

Freya sighed when Rory returned her to the bed, a little depressed she'd ruined the mood so quickly. She hadn't done it intentionally, after all. Apparently though, Rory found it pretty funny, seeing as he was laughing before speaking. She smiled a little at his words though . "I'll just have to be more careful then." If Rory did think it'd been fun, maybe she'd let it happen again... Just be careful enough to make sure she didn't get to a burn temperature. He might not care if he got hurt, but she did.
She smirked softly when he mentioned the kisses, somewhat satisfied he'd found them enjoyable. It looked like her losing control wasn't a bad thing. "maybe I'll let it happen a little then, if you liked it so much."

The mood may have been ruined, but it was probably for the best anyways. They needed to get going, it was already late in the morning and now would be the best time to climb the mountain and if the coordinates were right, it was going to be a very long climb. Actually, the base they were going to wasn't too far up the mountain, but the mountain got incredibly steep very fast. So traveling even a hundred yards would take some time.
Rory smirked a little as well when she spoke, it would be interesting if she let herself get that hot again. It made things different, and a bit exciting. Rory couldn't help but lean forward and kiss her softly for a few moments before pulling away again, "Everythin' ye do drives me crazy, love.... But I wouldn't mind if ye did let it happen again." He said with a wink, before standing up and adjust the towel he was wearing as it had started to get loose.
He grabbed his bag and walked toward the bathroom, making sure Freya was watching. He wanted to tempt her just a bit more before they left if he could. As soon as he walked in the bathroom and out of her view, the towel was tossed out the still open bathroom door. If she really thought he was sexy, he hoped that would tease her just a bit more. Within a couple minutes though he already had on his white camo pants, and hiking boots, though was still lacking a shirt.

If they weren't in such a rush to get up the mountain, things probably wouldn't have ended there. How far they would have gone though.... The thought sent shivers down her spine. "That makes two of us then..." She smirked slyly a little, seeing if she could tempt him into kissing her again. Sadly though, he'd retreated into the bathroom.... And left the room open.
Why did he leave the bathroom door op-
All her thoughts came to a halt when he purposely threw the towel out the open doorway. Freya let out an annoyed groan, rolled back onto her stomach and grabbed the pillow to cover her head again. He was doing it all on purpose! "You can be so cruel sometimes, you know that right?" It was obvious she'd covered her head with the pillow again, the muffling sound probably familiar to Rory from her doing the same thing only a short time before.

As Rory laced up his boots he couldn't help but wonder how Freya was reacting to the towel he had tossed out. His answer quickly came when he heard her yelling muffled by what he guessed was the pillow. His curiousity was piqued when he wondered what would have happened if Freya didn't have that pillow, would she have just come in? What he really wondered though was how far they would have gone if her skin hadn't burned him.
"It's all because I love ye." He said with a laugh, slipping on his white sweater and rolling up the sleeves on it, revealing part of the tattoo on his arm again. Then he walked out and sat on the bed opposite of Freya and began to finish lacing up his boots, "Don't look... I'm not wearing anythin'." The last part was half whispered, he was seeing if he could tempt her one more time. Of course, he was fully clothed, so he was also seeing if he could make her mad when she did look.

If Freya hadn't been able to use something to distract herself like the pillow, she just might have gone in, unable to stop herself. Thank God there had been something to grab onto so she could clear her thoughts and start thinking about other things.
"I love you to, but I think this could be called torture!" At least, Freya thought this counted as torture. She could hear him moving around again, probably coming out of the bathroom because she heard the bed creak a little when he sat on it. His words made her blush even though she knew he was lying. "Yeah, you take your stuff in the bathroom and decide to come out here? Very convincing..." She let go of the pillow with one hand, sat up, and chucked the pillow at him.

"Nah, torturing people always ends with me making them scream..." He paused in lacing up his boots, realizing what he said, "I mean, torture in general... It involves screaming right?" He said with a awkward laugh, starting to lace his boots up again.
How could he have been so stupid as to let that slip? It was Freya, whenever he was around her he had no problem saying anything, which was a bad thing when you had a past like Rory's. The right thing to do would probably be to tell her, but he was afraid if he explained what he used to do, she would leave him.
Suddenly, a pillow slammed into Rory's head, when it fell and revealed his face again he was laughing, mostly at Freya. "If it's not convincing... Then why are ye blushing, darlin'?" He asked with a smirk. Standing up, he began to put on his many white coats.

The look Freya gave him on the subject of torture was a strange mixture of confusion and laughter. Finally, she started laughing, if only because of the awkwardness of the matter. "That sounded so wrong." She finally said, shaking her head and grinning like a fool.
Freya's face flushed a brighter red when he mentioned her blushing. Stupid blushing! She tried to hide it, but nothing seemed to be working. "....." She finally got herself to glare at him, but it wasn't a very convincing one at that. "You're lucky I love you, or I just might have set that hot head of yours on fire." She smiled a little, but was mostly occupied getting her blush to go away.
She tried to distract herself, getting up and crossing to where all her stuff was. She slipped her boots on, being the smart one and having zippers instead of laces for them. She down most of her layers, holding her heavy coat in her arms with her backpack until they left the building. "Are we ready then?"

When Freya started laughing, his nerves relaxed a little. He really needed to watch what he said from now on, and if not, the next time he let something slip he should just explain to her the whole situation. For now though, he went along with Freya's laughter, laughing himself as well, "Aye, it did sound wrong... In so many ways." It truly did as well, drawing a genuine laugh from Rory.
What made him laugh more was her half-hearted glare though. Really, when she was mad at Rory it did nothing but make him like her more, even more so when she was trying to be mad but wasn't. "I'm the one with the hot head? Yer the one who burned me lips, lass. I'd say that you've got the hot head... and body." He said with a slight wink, slipping on his gloves as he did so.
Rory grabbed his heaviest coat and pack, waiting until they got outside as well. "Aye, I think we're ready..." He said glancing around the room, which was clean once again, then back at Freya and immediately grinned. "Except you've still got a bit of red right here..." He said, rubbing his cheeks with a smirk, she looked cute when she was blushing. "Should we wait for it to go away?" Now he was just rubbing in what he had done to her a little bit.

Freya scowled a little, still trying to get herself to be mad at him. She was failing, horribly. His turning her hot headed comment on her made she scowl falter, almost smiling a little. "I don't remember hearing you complain about your burned lips before now. Maybe I shouldn't kiss you until their better?" That would really be torture for both of them. But, she'd see how long they'd be able to hold out. And if he cracked before her... Well that was one more victory for her. She was smirking again.
her scowl returned when he mentioned her still blushing. She reached up with both her hands, rubbing the remaining blush away. "Okay, ready to go!" Before he came up with another excuse to hang around, she slipped past him and into the hall, smirking mischievously again as she looked back at him. "I wonder how long you'll be able to last." This was all revenge for his completely melting her earlier. She was going to drive him mad today, tempting him the whole duration, then skipping out of his reach before he would grab her to give into his desires.
And just to prove it, she bolted off down the hall, climbing the stairs up the the main floor of the Inn quickly. He wouldn't do anything to desperate up here, so she could do as much as she wanted while he spoke with the Inn Keeper...

Rory laughed at Freya, as if she would stop kissing him, "I don't think ye could last that long, darlin'." He said with a grin, which began to fade as he realized that Freya wasn't joking, she was going to try and avoid kissing him the rest of the day, or longer perhaps. That meant it was going to be a competition for her, and more importantly she would be using it against him for what he had done to her.
Before he could say another word she had dashed past him and into the hall, Rory walked out as well, slamming the door behind him. "I was kidding! I don't want to play yer game!" He yelled down the hall after her, sure competition was fun, but he didn't want to go that long with kissing her. Angrily he hoisted the pack up on his shoulders and began marching down the hall, just as he passed one of the room doors it opened up.
"Hey buddy! We're trying to sleep here!" The man said angrily. Rory slowly turned around, eyes narrowed and face lacking any emotion, "Then sleep..." He said coldly, to which the man was apparently frightened and slowly closed the door without another word. Well, that made Rory feel a bit better.
Once he was back up stairs he glanced at Freya and shook his head. He didn't want to play her game, but he was going to just to prove a point to her. "Oi! Are there any buildings up the mountain here?" Rory asked the Inn Keeper as soon as he saw him. "On this mountain? No, you can't climb this mountain, it's too dangerous. Avalanches are pretty common, if you want to climb you need to head to the next mountain over, that's where they have the services." Rory thought for a moment, the coordinates specifically place the building on the side of the mountain they were on... Great. He turned back to the guide to ask one more question before they left...

Freya instantly felt sorry for Rory. It would probably put him in a pretty bad mood, her being like this, but it was all for revenge. Besides, she was in a competitive mood at the moment. Seeing as he was stronger, faster, and more experienced then her in these situations she could try to race him up the mountain. This was the only sort of 'competition' she could get at the moment.
She heard him yelling after her, and only paused for a moment to smile, as if to say 'You might not, but I do'. Then she was up the stairs. She didn't even hear Rory's little dispute with one of the other guests. Up on the main floor, Freya just wandered mindlessly while waiting for Rory to get up here. His first order of business was the Inn keeper, like she expected. She waited a few moments before the games began.
As she wandered she would steal looks to Rory here and there. Each time she gave him a different look, that sly smirk that drove him while, a flirtatious side glance through her eyelashes, twirling her hair in a bored but cute way. Little things that would catch his attention and be considered flirtatious and tempting... It wasn't like she could do anything to dramatic while at the Inn after all..

As Rory talked to the Inn Keeper, and the man explained why the mountain was so dangerous, Rory glanced at Freya to see what she was doing. He had to do a slight double take when he saw her giving him that smile... Oh that smile. Rory shook his head and turned back to the man, he needed to be focusing on what he was saying, yet he couldn't stop from look at Freya again. This time she was twirling her hair slightly and giving him a sultry glance.
Rory immediately turned back to the Inn Keeper, he had to focus. Not to mention he wanted to go over and kiss her right there, but wouldn't do it even if there was no one in the room. He was going to resist her, even if she was amazingly tempting. "So is there any way a building could be up there?" Rory finally managed to ask. "No way, there would be no way that anyone would be crazy enough to build one up there." That answer alone proved to Rory that there was someone up there then.

It was hard not to start laughing every time Rory looked at her, before quickly looking away to try and concentrate. Freya had to admit, this was pretty fun! She could tell he was fighting the urge to come to her right then, but no, that wouldn't have been fun. She wanted to see just how far she could push him until he finally lost it. His own determination though might just have this game lasting the whole day, especially since it didn't seem like either of them would be all that interested in tempting the other when they were climbing the mountain...
It seemed that the Inn Keeper and Rory were nearing the end of their discussion, and Freya had finally stopped in her side glances to taunt and tempt him. With a sigh, she set down her bag long enough to pull her heavy coat and gloves on. She slipped her backpack back on, before slipping out the door ahead of Rory, he'd be out in a minute, and she'd grown tired of his conversation with the Inn Keeper.
The storm seemed to have blown through, lightly snowing now. Stepping out into the cold she stared up at the treacherous mountain looming over her. Already she could feel her stomach sinking. There was a lot of snow up there.... One wrong move and she could cause an avalanche. She'd have to be really careful with how she used her power up there...

As soon as Rory was done talking to the Inn keeper he glanced around the room, Freya had apparently already left. He quickly slipped on his coat, then his mask and gloves and finally slid his pack on before heading out. Just as he had guessed, Freya was already outside and staring at the mountain. He stood beside her a looked up at it too. About a quarter of the way up clouds obscured everything, blocking the top of it from view. At least they did have a bit of luck, the snow storm had moved off and it was only lightly snowing.
"Well... I suppose we better start." He said before pulling out a GPS. "If the coordinates are right... The building is straight up from here." With that he stuffed the GPS back in his coat and began walking calmly down the road, setting a steady pace. They would have a very long day in front of them, it was better to move slow and stay rested.
After a few minutes the houses started thinning out out and the road disappeared. Before long they were truly at the base of the mountain itself, and climbing up. The Inn keeper was right, the snow on the mountain was very powdery, perfect avalanche material. "Watch yer step, lass. And keep close to me, I don't want anythin' to happen." He said, finally speaking in a serious tone for the first time in a few days.
