Thankfully he had heard that Ayden and Xavier were finally having some quality time together. That made him happy for two reasons: One, Ayden and her grandfather needed to get to know each other and two, that meant the two telepaths in the school were no longer in the school.
Getting past everyone else was almost too easy after that, especially knowing that Storm and Logan were doing their own thing, Hazel and Hank were working on doctor duties, so the faculty was pretty much out of the way. He made it to the computer lab, looking around to see that nobody was in. He then looked down the hall and waved for someone to follow, entering the computer lab and waiting for them to get there.

Anya followed after he waved to her, and handed him the flash drive. She shut the door behind her and switched on the light. They were back in the computer lab. It's amazing how fast it seemed to go by. It felt like five minutes ago David had brought up the suggestion to go the MRF, and now, they were already back.
"Now let's see what Cain's weakness is," she was eager to find out. But she hoped they wouldn't be disappointed. They could be disappointed two ways. One, they might not be able to find anything on Cain, and two, his weakness might be something stupid and ridicules. Bad guys like Cain need to have one of those rare and interesting weakness, so else it ruins the point.

If there is a weakness he thought to himself. He took the flash drive and placed it in the small compartment of the computer. He began loading the information into the computer, which thankfully began placing it in different files. The X-Men and even Xavier would flip when they saw all that two students had gotten from one building and a madman.
"You know, it's funny. Two students did in one day what the X-Men have been trying to do for months."
He looked at her with a smile, giving him a small wink, then looked back to the console. He typed up Cain's information, and once again his file opened, only this time there was more to it. It told of how his power was to become anything he touched, but nothing seemed to be coming to light on how to stop him.
"So far I'm getting nothing. Only of his power, which we already know, and the fact he was sent to spy on the Nightshades."

She smiled, "Yeah, but they won't think about it that way when they're yelling at us."
She sighed. She had been afraid of this. And from the last thoughts she'd plucked out of David's mind, he had been too. "There must be something else to it! They has to be," she pouted slightly, leaning over him to see it, too. Her face was right next to his again like earlier that day, this time her hand resting on his shoulder as she read through Cain's file.
She pulled back then, almost whipping him in the face with her hair unintentionally. Then she paced around the room, running her hands through her wild blonde hair. "Maybe there's something else there we're not seeing. Maybe we just have to read between the lines..."

"Yeah, that's what I'm worried about."
He sighed when she commented, knowing that's what he was thinking to. He felt her hand on his shoulder, and glanced over to see her head next to his. She still smelled the same as the last time she did, but this time there was a hint of dirt and sweat, mostly due to what they had been through. He blinked a bit and scratched his cheek as his hair grazed him. He turned and sat down in the chair, having deja vu as she paced infront of him.
"Read between the lines..."
He thought about those words for a minute, then something clicked inside his head. He immediately sat up, causing the chair to roll towards the wall. He turned and started punching up the information again, looking through the files. Something she had said made him think to look at Cain's power again. He brought it up on the screen, stepping back and taking a look at it.
"Anya, it said that Cain's power was to change into the material of anything he touched right?" he then looked back to her, "What's missing from that?"

She watched him as he began typing again. She smiled then. He was on to something, she knew he was. "Um... something that'll make his power really unbeatable and awesome?" she suggested. Then she added, "If there's something like that out there, Cain knows about it." She bit her lip at that. It was hard enough just to deflect his electrity, she couldn't imagine what he could do if he had some sort of power boost.
She hoped whatever David had in mind wasn't what she'd said. If she was right, and Cain beat them to it, they'd be done for.

"Well yeah, I didn't think about that part."
He looked back at the screen, his thoughts putting together how a power boost would help Cain out. It was bad enough to try and fight Cain the way he was in the woods and the building, but to fight him when his powers were upgraded, that would be a mess in itself. He pushed those thoughts aside, trying to get Anya to understand where he was going with this.
"Think about this, Anya, it says that he changes into whatever he touches. But does it say anything about him being two elements at once?"

She was relieved he had a different idea. Anya hated hers, and easily pushed them aside, just hoping that a boost for Cain didn't exist. It probably didn't, that would just be plain unfair... not that life was fair. She knew life was unfair through personal experience.
"No," she looked at him, one eyebrow raised, waiting to see what point that made.

He smiled when she said no, knowing she had given him the opening he needed. If his idea was right, then he had just found Cain's weakness. Maybe it was helpful, and maybe it wasn't, but if it was something they could use it was worth a try. He turned fully to her, using his words to emphasize the idea he was forming inside his head.
"What if that's it? What if he can only handle one element at a time?"

She thought about that. That was possible, but she didn't know how helpful that would be. Even if that was his weakness, what were they supposed to do? Throw another element at him? She was pretty sure that wouldn't do anything.
"Maybe, but he can touch more than one element at a time without turning into them both, right? I mean, he seemed pretty under control to me. So what good would that do us?"

"But what if he's caught off guard or somethin?"
He didn't want to lose hope on the fact that he may have found a weakness. If Cain was only able to control one element at a time, then that may be the opening to his armor that they had been looking for. The only thing he couldn't think of towards that was how they had planned to exploit it.

"Maybe," she shrugged.
But she had no idea how they would ever accomplish that. So far, they hadn't been very good at planning things out before they actually did them. They hadn't brought towels to the beach so they were soaked. They went to the MRF without thinking about it, and almost got crushed by it as it tumbled down on top of them, not to mention that Cain showed up.
"How could we do that, though?" she finally added, although she had a feeling that he didn't have a clue, either.

"I...I dunno."
He sighed as he sat back down into the chair. He knew he had found a weakness to Cain, but how he was going to use it didn't seem to add up. They couldn't just distract him with one element while he was focused on another. He sat back in the chair and stared up at the light, wondering how they were going to figure this one out.

"Me either..."
She sighed, too, and leaned against the wall, staring at the ceiling for a moment and then looked back down at David. She thought a moment. Maybe he has a weakness that everybody has... she thought for a moment. There's always one thing that distracts people when they're fighting.
"What if we make him angry? I mean, really really angry. That distracts everybody," she suggested. "And no one fights well when they're angry enough. But we'd have to find something that means something to him. Something that'll really push his buttons..." she shrugged, "Maybe that's pointless, but it might be worth a shot."

"Yeah that could work. If we got him angry enough, it would give us some advantage."
He sat back in the chair, trying to think of something. He wasn't sure what all would make Cain angry except whatever Ian, him and Anya did. When Anya mentioned using something that was close to him, he nodded his head in agreement.
"But as cold and heartless as he is, what would he possibly hold close to him? The building's destroyed, the sentinels are gone, and the factory he worked in is gone to."
