Devika just nodded when she said that her work was the most disgusting place she could work, people shouldn’t do things they hate it wasn’t right if the world was perfect people whould get the jobs they wanted and things would always work out for people in the end but the world wasn’t everyone hear was shrewd in someway “West Bengal it near the border but I grew up in near Delhi when I was a kid I just moved up to the western part of the country 3 years ago my parents where trying to get me married off and so I said I needed to get an more of an education but I don’t spend much time in India anymore I like to travel to much…the world has so much knowledge around it, things that can’t be taught in a class room and so I go where I want to I rarely go to my little apartment in West Bengal only for a week at a time and then I take off for a week or two” If one thought about how expeive that would be if you combined flight and hotel cost one would wonder how she ever paid for food but Devika never had to worry about flight cost she actually never been on an airplane in her life and devika never stayed at really nice hotels all she cared was weather or not it had a bed and even then camping was always nice if the weather was in her favor so if she got rid of her apartment in India she probably be living cheeping just traveling

“It sounds like an adventure. I’ve always wanted to travel.”
Unsure of what else to say, Lola dropped her bag and began to collect the mess of papers scattered on the coffee table, stacking them into a neat pile before collecting her computer in the cradle of her arm.
“You wouldn’t mind if I put on some music while we get ready for bed would you? You don’t have to go to sleep, but I’ve been working since seven and I’m on the verge of falling asleep on my feet so the sooner I hit the hay the better. I’d offer you my bed, but currently it’s not very clean. Puss decided to pee on that too. I can sleep literally anywhere as long as I’m warm. Do you need pajamas?”
She placed her pile of sketches on a shelf in her closet and pulled out her own pajamas and a pair of slippers that looked more like boots without hard soles.

“if you have the time you should” Was all she said when Lola said she’d wanted to travel “no I have some in my bag, size you’ve done enough already …thank you” She set her bag on the ground “you know puss seems like a handful I bet he has lots of personality bet hes a good mouser too” She said opening her bag and saw Hara hide further in the bag afraid that cat whould find him, she just smiled he was chicken, she pulled out and old t-shirt and some gym shorts zipped the bag back up holding up the top and shorts “see im good, no I’m not going to be saying up are you kidding me I’d hate to keep you up and it pretty late anyway”

“I’m sure I’ll be pretty busy for a while, but once I’m able I’m sure I’ll be traveling all the time.”
Lola merely smiled. One of the things that people seemed to lack in New York was manners.
“You’re welcome. And it really isn’t any trouble. I like the company.”
At the mention of mice in Alphabet City, Lola laughed, almost hysterically.
“Devika, around here mice don’t exist. They’ve probably all been eaten by the swarm of rats.”
From below, a drunken mans voice screamed for Lola to shut up, followed by the sound of a broom handle being struck against the ceiling.
“I’m not being loud!”
She screamed back, stomping her feet against the ground.
“Sorry, he does that every night.”

(there are so mice in NYC almost step on one and there where 2 in my hotel room just sayin it was gross and did you know that they like trial mix more then any other food that me and my room mates had….o.k that was me being random for the day ) “If im any trouble at all please let me know I don’t want to be a burden on you at all” Devika gave her a look when she started laughing at her but when she explained that all the mice had been eaten by rats she just nodded “O I didn’t know” she blushed feeling a little stupid When she hurd yelling and banging she looked towards the floor, how rude it wasn’t like they where stomping there feet and screaming around up hear “does he do that all night or just once a night”

Lola smirked and shook her head.
“Trust me, sweetie, you don’t know what a burden is, let alone how to be one.”
She didn’t really have high standards as to what made a person a burden. She had been doing all of the financial work in her family since she was a kid, plus dealing with her mother’s emotional break downs at least once a week, avoiding her father at any cost due to how angry her father became when he was drunk and using, which was every day of every week.
“I’m sure there are some mice in the city somewhere, but not in this area. None that I’ve seen anyway.”
She glanced down at the floor at Devika’s question.
“Once a night, always a few minutes after I get home. You can use the bathroom to change if you’re modest. I work with most of my clothes off so I’m not very shy, but if it makes you feel like you’re in a locker room I can vanish for a while to change.”

Devika raised a brow when she said she didn’t know how to be a burden did Lola think she was some innocent person who the worst thing that could happen was she’d break a nail or something
“where both girls aren’t we why would it matter if I changed in the bath room hell it’s not like I don’t have anything you don’t as long as your straight I’m fine changing wherever”
Devika smiled when Lola said she wasn’t really shy about changing “Well in your line of work it be kinda hard to be shy about your body” Devika said taking off the Bendi on her forehead and placing the gem on the coffee table

Lola couldn’t help but to smile as she pulled her shirt over her head.
“I get paid not only to dance for perves, but to occasionally act like I’m into girls. Trust me, the last thing I’m into is other girls.”
Something caught Lola’s attention and her ears caused her to perk up as she pulled a white tank top over her head. She followed her ears with her eyes until she found Devika’s bag. She saw something move through the fabric and yelped in surprise, literally flying across the room. “There’s something in your bag and I’ve seen enough rats to know that it’s not a rat!” The fact that she had leapt an extremely long distance for a human didn’t seem to phase her.

Devika smiled pulling off her own top when she herd Lola yep she looked at her wow that girl could jump Devika looked at her bag and just glared at it slipping on her pajama shirt “Hara” she mumbled under her breath Devika sighed opening her bag and grabbing hara making its wings fold into its back and pinching it mouth close so he looked just like a normal looking black snack How you’d get in there little guy….It’s a snake” she said lifting it up Hara was only about a 10 inchs long so there was no real reason to be holding him with to hand expect to keep his wings form to his back “if you want to open a window I can drop him outside we wouldn’t want this little guy in your apartment” Devika wasn’t worried about dropping him out a window he’d just fly away and find somewhere to sleep for the night and then come back in the morning. Hara could ruin everything right hear if she didn’t play this right Lola could find out she was a mutant and kick her out and then where would Devika be sleeping behind some dumpster

Lola arched a brow at Devika as she pulled the snake out of her bag. Devika didn’t seem at all surprised or scared about a snake being in her bag. If it was her pet, Lola wouldn’t have been so astounded at seeing a snake in her house.
“Sorry, I’m just a little bit flabbergasted at the moment.”
Puss seemed to think that he had found a new friend. His bright green eyes were fixed on the snake and he got onto the coffee table and walked forward before leaping towards Hara, his paws extended in a playful fashion as he tackled the snake into Devika.
“Puss!”
In an instant, Lola bounded across the room in a single pounce. She grabbed the black puffball and pulled it off the snake, a horrified expression on her face once she realized what her reflexes made her do. She laughed nervously, unsure of what to say.

When Lola had bounded across the room Devkia let go of Hara surprised at the spend and well it only took one jump for her to get across the room Hara flew up and Hissed at anyone who got near him Devika looked at him how was she suppose to explain this to Lola when she looked at her and realized that she was acting strange not an I’m scared strange but the I just got caught strange, Devika smiled remembering how fast she had gotten across the room Devika let out a little laugh and relaxed her shoulders having Hara fly back down on to her shoulder “we need new pets”

When she noticed that the snake had wings, she dropped Puss, but that didn’t stop him from climbing up her leg, then her back until he was secure on shoulder. Puss thought of Lola as his mother, and his kitten at the same time. When Hara hissed at her, Puss hissed back, arching his back and preparing to pounce, only backing down when Lola blew into his ear. Puss hated that.
“I know you might be able to ask the same question about me, but what the hell is that thing?”
She wasn’t quick to lean in and examine the creature. After all, because of the little show Puss had put on, it didn’t seem very fond of her.
“Puss isn’t a pet. He thinking I’m his mommy because he’s stupid.”
Being somewhat feline herself, she shared an empathetic link with most cats, and it grew stronger when she was around a certain cat for a long time. Puss mewed weakly and Lola glared at him.
“You pounced on a snake. That makes you stupid.”
She ripped him off her shoulder and put him down.
“Go to the corner and don’t come back until it’s time for bed.”
Shockingly, the kitten obeyed, dragging his tail and his ears back. He plopped down, his nose next to the wall, sweeping his tail back and forth.

She looked at Hara when she asked what he was “this is Hara has a Jaculus kinda like a mini dragon he kinda fallows me wherever I go even if I don’t want him too” she glared at him at that last part witch caused him to fly of her shoulder and go check out this place Devika smiled when she said that puss taught she was his mom and giggled when he actually went to the corner “you know its not like puss hurt anyone he didn’t know”

Lola’s already arched brow elevated higher.
“A dragon? I was pretty sure the only dragons out in the world were the komodo ones.”
She was about to lean forward when she noticed something.
“I’m pretty sure you’ve already figured out that I’m a mutant and you’re not freaking out. It’s kinda freaking me out…and you have a dragon.”
Lola’s eyes rolled.
“He knows to not jump on other animals, including humans. He’s not as thoughtless as some might think.”

When she asked why she wasn’t freaking out Devika gave a small smile towards Lola
“O sorry well im not freaking out because I’m a mutant too how else would I have Hara its not like you can by Jaculus’s at the pet store….I can summon fictional animals into are world so they are real so you are correct in saying the only type of dragons are Komodo Hara really shouldn’t be hear anyway besides jumping can you do anything else”
