After a while of attention, Faolan rolled back up and got on his feet, shaking the sand off of him. David stood up after dusting the sand Faolan tossed around off of him, then looked to Anya. He had to agree that finding something to touch that was Cain's wasn't an easy thing to do.
"Yeah, I don't want to be near him either, but I guess we can't avoid that since he's been moving about more. We'll run into him again, and I don't think he'll be happy about it."

Anya shook her head in agreement. "Definitely not after what we did at the MRF. He doesn't really know who I am but he does know that he doesn't like me..." she admitted.
And it was true. She saw the look on his face when she'd deflected his attack from David. She thought it might've been just surprise that she'd actually stopped the attack, but it might've been something that offended him more. She didn't know, but it was really starting to bug her. If she wasn't afraid of getting in trouble or having her friends worry like crazy about her, she might actually try to find him again just to talk to him. Not that she could talk to him without some kind of fight involved. But she wouldn't mind fighting him if it gots answers out of him, too. Staying alive was her main concern when it came to fighting Cain, and preferrably conscious.
During their whole fight scene at the MRF, Cain had only held somewhat of a conversation with David. She hadn't said a word, and maybe that was what bothered her. Everyone else had some kind of thing between them and Cain, but she'd never said a word to him before, and he'd never said anything to her either, unless what he said was mainly directed at David.

"Yeah," he said with a chuckle, "neither of us made a good impression on the man."
He smiled a bit, glad to be able to even during all that was happening. He thought about the battle in the MRF building, how she deflected Cain's attacks and he tricked the man into sending himself into the computer systerm. It was then he suddenly got an idea, though it was a long shot.
"Wait, your swords." he smiled, "Cain made contact with them, so he touched them right?"

((ahh, so your tim now xD))
Anya smiled at his suggestion. It was kinda delayed, considering that was the first thing she'd tried once they got back to the mansion after the infiltration. "Yes, yes he touched it... as electricity," she replied, folding her arms together out of habit.
"I can't really get much information out of electricity. It was a long shot, anyway, but I thought it was worth a shot. Now if I'd hit him with it before he got all shocky, then it probably would've told us something."

((lol oops))
"So it has to be something he touched?"
He thought for a second, trying to think of something that Cain would've touched. He couldn't really think of anything at the building or the mansion, but as a thought crept into his mind, his eyes began to widen. It was a long shot, a very long one, but if it worked then it may give them something.
"He did touch something...he touched me." he lifted up his shirt, showing the scars on his shoulders, "Right there."

Anya couldn't help her surpirse as he lifted his shirt. She'd seen his scars before, but she still hated it... it just looked so painful.
She sighed then and shook her head slightly. "Not like that. Even if he did touch you, all I'm gonna see is your memories... not Cain's," she admitted.
But then she thought about it for a moment. It might work... a very slight chance of getting somemthing about Cain out of it. But it might still work. But honestly, she didn't want to touch his scars. She didn't only see the visions, but it they hurt the person she touched enough, she felt it too. She really didn't want to touch scars that would hurt her, too. But she didn't tell David that.

"Well it was worth a try."
He sighed, lowering his shirt as he did. They had to think of something that Cain would've touched, but the only thing he could think of was at the MRF building, and he didn't even want to think about going there. He was out, the swords were out, and he couldn't think of anything else Cain might have touched.
"There must be something we're missing."

Anya sighed and thought in silence with David. She sighed and slumped to the sandy floor and sat, spreading her legs out in front of her as she thought. Why couldn't she be a better detective? Why couldn't she be like Batman? Remembering the one clue that everyone else just ignored, and then using it to solve the case and beat the bad guy. But she didn't know if there was a place like Arkham Asylum that could keep Cain locked up for long...
She laid back against the sand and looked up at the sky, then back at David who stood before her. "Any ideas?" she asked in an almost monotone voice. The dog came over and sniffed her hair, which she'd flung out across the sand. I guess he likes the smell of my shampoo. She watched Faolan as he his nose moved to sniff her face but she just ignored it.

"About as much as you have unfortunately."
He sighed, sitting down in the sand once more, smiling a bit as Faolan went to sniff at the 's hair. What is it with that dog and hair? he thought to himself, watching as the pup moved to sniff around Anya's face, then started to lick her cheek. He snickered and laughed a bit, enjoying the site of Faolan "attacking" someone other then him.
"I think he likes you."

Anya giggled slightly as Faolan licked her cheeck and she shoved his cold, wet nose away from her face as gently as she could. "Well, good. I like him, too. I don't really like his tongue, though."
She smiled then and stood back up, brushing the sand off of her. "So... has anyone said anything to you about the flashdrive? Or the MRF building? Or hacking into the school's computer?"
Naming everything they'd done sounded terrrible. And it was kind of hard to imagine that they did all that within a few hours. It made they appear like they had to be the most horrible students at the school... but at least it was for a good cause. Except for Cain showing up, their plan was pretty full proof.

"Nope, nothing that really draws attention."
He watched her stand up and smiled, and was about to follow after until Faolan tackled him. He rolled in the sand and sat up, looking at the pup as if to say "You really want to try this?". Faolan yipped happily and David just laughed a little, and then the two were at it. Wrestling in the sand like two children rough housing at home.

"Good," Anya nodded with a smile. But then, David was tumbling around in the sand with the wolf.
"David," Anya shook her head with a small smirk. Why would he feel the need to wrestle with a wolf in the sticky sand? Anya knew that she never would want to. But, she was still trying to figure out how a guy's mind works. As far as she was concerned, all boys were like this - trying to be tough but actually be pointless - at least a few times in their life. She just laughed for a moment. "You can be so immature sometimes, you know that?"

"Really?" he looked up at Anya, the struggling Faolan caught in a headlock, "I don't think I'm that immature."
Faolan pulled out of the lock and bounced off of David, causing him to fall forward into the sand. He got up and looked to the young wolf. That's it, now you're in trouble he thought as a smile grew on his face and he ran to tackle Faolan, but the wolf took off, David following behind until he managed to tackle his companion, causing them to wrestle around even more.

Anya just shook her head. "You usually aren't," she admitted. It was rare to find a guy who wasn't a complete slob all the time. That's what she liked about David. "But this is one of your 'typical guy moments'."
She just smiled and laughed a little as he chased after the dog. He was fast. He had to be to catch up with that wolf. Anya was fast, too, when she wanted to be. She followed after them at a slow, relazed pace and came to a stop as she caught up with them, still tumbling in the sand like little kids.

"Well of course, I am a typical guy."
He smiled as his wrestling match with Faolan continued. Neither one of them were willing to give up, and soon both he and the young wolf were breathing heavily, Faolan's tongue hanging out of his mouth. He stood up, dusting himself off as his companion shook the sand from himself. David walked over and scratched Faolan's head before walking up to Anya.
"It usually ends in a tie anyway."
