Rory nodded at David, glad that he followed his orders immediately. Though his brow furrowed slightly as Jubilee spoke. It annoyed him that she was being so stubborn. He wanted to explain to them that if the people he thought were in the house were here that they were all dead, but didn't. He didn't because he hoped and prayed that he was just being paranoid, paranoid that something was going to happen. Besides, before he could speak Freya beat him to it, telling Jubilee off for him.
"Be careful... Stay together... And watch the roof, and remember, no shadows!." Rory called after them as they walked down the hall and he stayed in place. As soon as they were out of sight he lifted up his pant leg slightly and pulled out a sawed off shotgun, cocking it, then heading down the hall in the opposite direction.
He had already walked most of the mansion but he still hadn't been in the living room yet, it was the last place he needed to look. So into the darkness he stepped, checking in all directions and above him, shotgun already raised and ready to fire. On edge was an understatement for Rory right now, his mind was in battle mode and there was no doubt about it.

As the Ghost reach down, only inches from piercing the girls neck with the needle. Then suddenly something wrapped tightly around his body and his head shot toward his feet, seeing them wrapped in what looked like... Darkness? Alice Holmes, how could he have forgotten? It was often that a Ghost slipped up. They weren't exactly in the type of profession that allowed failure or mistakes, mistakes meant death when dealing with mutants. Especially mutants as powerful as this girl.
Looking down he saw the girl staring up at him. Without hesitation he slashed downward at her with his clawed hand. They were only ordered to bring in the target mutants alive. They never specified on the condition in which they must be brought in. When they did that, or perhaps didn't do that, it meant that they could maim, hurt, or bring the targets to near death so long as they didn't actually die. Though silence was always better, when Ghosts were caught they went on the offensive... Which is far worse than if they had just stayed on the defensive.
Without even talking, several clicks came from the Ghost's communicator and the rest of the squad immediately heard. "Understood... Alpha, Bravo, proceed with caution, avoid the girl... I'm calling in the cavalry." The voice was barely above a whisper, but several clicks came in reply.
"Problem mutant encountered, target number five... Resistance is likely, detection... Unavoidable now." The captain radioed in, again, less than a whisper and he was so well hidden and far away from everyone that it was almost as if he didn't exist. "Understood... Sending in the Carriers." With that, there was radio silence once again and unknown to the people in the mansion... Hell was about to descend on them.

Alice just ducked when she saw his hand move. Looks like he wasn't going to make this at all easy. She was just out of reach now, the shadows stretching even farther up this body to wrap around his arms as well, leaving his head free. By this point, she'd moved onto the floor, laying on her back and just staring at him. Her expression so bare of all emotions it was extremely creepy. Suddenly though, that smirk was back, only far more amused this time.
"Why were you on the ceiling? Or.... are...." She paused, staring at him still with a childlike look that would have been cute if it weren't for her completely black eyes. "And why are there others guys like you wandering around?" Her gaze wandered all around the room, as if able to pinpoint where the others were in the building. "You look like a spy... or messed up ninja..." There was absolutely no fear in her voice, her gaze returning to the 'ninja', who she had wrapped up in a cocoon on the ceiling. "What's your name? I'm Alice." She was suddenly smiling again.

Jubilee rolled her eyes at Freya.
“I take orders. Just not from you. You want me to go, then fine, I’ll go, but I’m not going with you. I’ll take the scenic route and if you need my help when the shit hits the fan then deal with it.”
One of the bad things about Jubilee…she was stubborn. It was clear her help wasn’t wanted so then she wouldn’t give it. The only reason she had even offered was because she knew something was wrong. She wasn’t fond of playing the role of the hero.
She pulled her powers into her body and reclaimed her skittles, popping some into her mouth before advancing the opposite direction. It wasn’t the quickest way to get to her room, but it was one of the ways. She hid her resentment at having her help rejected…again, even though deep down she wanted to blast a hole into something. This wasn’t the first time she had been told to stay out of an actual fight. She didn’t wish to fight for the act of fighting. She wanted to fight because she knew she could help but everyone kept assuring her that her best place was away from the line of fire. She’d never admit it aloud, but it made her feel useless. She passed the living room along the way and heard Alice speaking to someone. Knowing that Alice didn’t like light, she stopped in front of the door frame and tossed a bright yellow light into the living room, making it linger in the center and light up the dark spaces.
“You need to go to your room before someone decides to bite your head off too.”
It was then she noticed the figure hanging in the center of the room. He was no student. The yellow light she had used to illuminate the darkness flew into the figure with a blinding flash, which she was sure Alice wouldn’t like, but it seemed like the best thing to do under the circumstances.

It wouldn’t have surprised near anyone that Alice was talking to herself, everyone thought she was crazy, and she was… But that wasn’t the point. She often spoke to herself, or so everyone thought. She spoke to the shadows, to be exact. Nobody understood that though…
The moment light met her eyes, bright light, she flinched so violently you would think she’d hurt herself in the sharp movement. “No light!” Her words were suddenly sharp, just as dark as the shadows had been moments before. She was sitting up so fast to glare at Jubilee with her entirely pitch black eyes that she had almost been a blur.
As strange as it was, everything did start to get darker, even with Jubilee’s firework, the source for everything getting darker again obvious. Alice was fuming, her whole body almost shaking in anger. Jubilee knew this, and yet she was chasing away all the shadows! And after all, Alice’s power was almost purely manipulating light levels…
Then, Jubilee had spotted Alice’s new ‘friend’, and was completely blinding the room. That was the last straw. Making a room annoyingly bright was one thing, but completely blinding her?! “No. LIGHT!” It was a very bad idea to push Alice, especially when she wasn’t exactly…. Sane. Especially when she tried to kill people that pushed her to far. As bright as things got, the shadows just kept coming back, darker, bigger, this time though, they were surrounding Alice like smoke. “Go away!” She sounded like she was going to throw a fit.

"Got it, I'll be extra careful. You watch yourself to, Ror."
He smirked, but it faded when he saw Freya and Jubilee going at it. He sighed and shook his head, watching Lee storm off down the hall. He looked to Freya, shrugging and heading up the stairs. He was going to start checking the rooms, but it was going to be hard with the mansion in the dark. Thankfully he was able to locate the supply closet and grab a flashlight.
His stone form still active, he walked up the stairs and down the hall, heading down the s dorm first. Mainly to partly to check on the students, and partly to make sure both Ayden and Alex were safe. He heard a small whimper behind him and turned, shining the light on a very worried young wolf. He sighed, forgetting that Faolan was staying with him tonight, just so Ayden could get some rest.
"Come on boy," he spoke in a whisper, "guard duty time."
Faolan gave a small bark, wagging his tail happily, but suddenly slumped his head when David gave him a stern look and putting a finger to his lips. He shined the flashlight on every corner, keeping the light shining on every corner and part of the hall. He was walking by Storm's office when Faolan stopped and sniffed under the door and started growling.
"What is it boy?"
David whispered, Faolan growling a little more as an answer. Someone was in there, and it wasn't friendly. He placed a hand on Faolan's neck, signaling the young pup to stay close. He opened the door slowly, watching his strength in his form. The two stepped into the office, David flashing the light around, aiming it at the ceiling and walls, even the corners. He used his foot to kick the door closed and looked around.
"Alright pal, come on out and show yourself. Otherwise we'll find out and deal with you that way."

Jubilee ignored Alice’s complaint at first, but when she began scream and throw a fit. No, that was anything but what she needed. Jubilee was on the verge of exploding before, but now, she was livid. Jubilee’s hands tightened into fists and without her beckoning, light began to seep out of her skin and illuminate the darkness that had enveloped the room once her yellow sphere exploded on the ghost. Jubilee was tempted to show Alice just how blinding she could make it. If Jubilee truly wanted to, she could ensure that a person saw nothing for over a month. However, blinding Alice wasn’t the sort of thing Jubilee was in the mood for.
“That. Is. It!”
She released a sound that was a hybrid of a yell and a screech, the light shining off her skin brightening gradually.
“I quit! If people are just going to yell at me for being helpful then I’m just going to stop being helpful! That way everything I screw up won’t be my fault anymore.”
She turned on her heel and stormed out of the living room, glowing brighter and brighter with each step she took.
“Stay in your room, Jubilee. Don’t interfere, Jubilee. Keep out of the way, Jubilee. You’re in training for no reason and whenever you try to help all you do is screw things over so you need to stop being around. Well, fine. That can be arranged. It’ll make everyone’s life so much better because nobody gives a flying f-”
Her words were drowned out as she swiped her hand across the air, motioning to slap something, but instead, she released a massive amount of plasma, blasting a hole through two walls and leaving a smoking crater in the stone of the outside wall, shaking the foundation. Her eyes widened, but her glow remained. She had never caused that much damage to the mansion before. She was going to be in a lot of trouble.
“Oops.” was the only thing she could say.

The Ghost tried to wriggle free of the darkness as it enveloped him, but it was no use. Soon, everything but his head was completely enclosed, so he quit moving completely and stared back down at the girl. Emotions were foreign concepts to Ghosts, fear, anger, humor. They were trained to ignore all of them, yet, he couldn't help but find this girl incredibly odd.
As he stared down at her she simply stared back and talked to him as if he were some sort of... Play thing. A bit of confusion set in, though he didn't speak, just stared at the child. All mutants were usually freaks, the was undeniable, but usually it was because of their powers. Not their personalities...
Then suddenly the room exploded with light, causing the Ghost to flinch just as much as the girl. Ghosts masks were filled with high tech equipment that allowed them to see in total darkness, suddenly switching on a light blinded them for a moment. However, before he could even regain his sense the light seemed to smash into him just as the darkness let him go. He flew across the room and slammed into the wall.
As he stood up, most of the armor on his chest had burned away to reveal skin; revealing that they were human. Suddenly, the armor seemed to start rebuilding itself and in seconds the skin disappeared, covered by black armor once again. Just as he was about to attack the two though, he paused because they were... fighting? Generally when the Agency attacked a location people unified against them, even bitter enemies would ally to bring them down. Not that it ever worked, but it was better than fighting each other. Perhaps the people in this mansion didn't realize the threat that was here... Well... They would learn.
The Ghost waited for the girl who controlled the light to leave, then without warning he pulled out several small black spheres that looked like marbles and rolled them on the ground toward the girl. Suddenly they exploded and large plumes of black gas rose around the girl. If she breathed it in she would find that in only a few seconds she would start experiancing hallucinations and control over her powers would be distorted. Since Ghosts couldn't carry equipment that turned off a mutant's x-gene, these were the next best thing.
-----------------------------------------------------
Whether the girl who controlled the light knew it or not, above her were two dark figures stalking her every move as she went off alone. Both were securely in place as the entire building seemed to shudder with the explosion in the wall, but immediately moved into position to attack. Suddenly, one dropped down directly in front of Jubilee, where she could see him clearly, "Boo!" He said, raising a gun and pointing it at Jubilee's head.
As quiet as a whisper, the second slowly let himself down a short ways behind her. He pulled out a small device and point it at her feet and pulled the trigger. There was a slight popping sound and a net shot out of the end of the gun and flew toward her lower body.
-----------------------------------------------------
In Ororo's room one of the Ghost's was hastily going through her desk, snapping pictures with a camera installed in his visor. After all, information was just as valuable as mutants were to the Agency. Suddenly he heard a slight noise, coming toward the room and jumped up, latching his fingers into the roof and pulling himself up. Quickly he moved across the roof and positioned himself on the wall just above the door, waiting for it to open.
A giant golem like creature entered the room, the Ghost immediately recognized him as one of the target mutants. Apparently he knew he was there too, not that it mattered though. The Ghost pulled out several black marbles as the mutant closed the door of the room, such a big mistake. Running away was always the best option when fighting Ghosts. Not that it ever worked but people usually lasted longer.
Reaching out, he tossed the marbles on the ground, each exploding in a burst of black smoke and filling the entire room almost immediately. Not only would the smoke hopefully cause the mutant's control over his powers to fluctuate, the thickness of the fog also made the flashlight much less effective. The Ghost simply stayed on the roof, moving as the mutant moved to stay above and behind him, always out of his vision.
-----------------------------------------
In the storm clouds the moved over the mansion, it would have been idiotic for anyone to try to pilot them. However, if one had been watching, and they could have been able to see anything in the dark of the night, they would have seen what looked like the bottom of the clouds start to break away and float toward the ground.
Slowly, the "clouds" started to shimmer and the camoflage faded, revealing ten helicopter like objects floating silent from the clouds and toward the mansion. With a loud pop, the bottom of each of the massive helicopters broke off and fell toward the ground like giant black bricks. These "bricks" each split up into four vehicle shaped pieces and giant parachutes popped out slowing their descent.
Forty of these vehicles landed in the forest surrounded the mansion, and waited, engines off, for a signal. The helicopters continued to descend silently toward the mansion. Ghosts were just foreplay to the true Agency armada, the armada that no one had ever survived unless the Agency wanted them to survive. Hell was coming to the mansion, and would raze it to the ground long before there was ever a chance of "defeat".

He heard a sound clattering all over the floor and looked around. Faolan went to sniff at one as soon as it exploded, causing the poor dog to drop. He watched his friend fall unconcious as the smoke filled the room. He smirked, though a little irritated that his flashlight was no longer useful. He wished that his form came with night vision, but he had to laugh.
"Seriously? I don't have to breath in this form pal, so whatever you've got, you better have more of."
He took a few more steps into the center of the room, ready to take on who ever was inside. If gas balls were the best this guy could offer, then this fight was going to be over before it begun. He looked around, noticing the guy wasn't going to come out peacefully.
"Have it your way then."
He raised up his stone foot and slammed it down onto the ground hard. Storm would've killed him for doing this inside the mansion, let alone her room. When all the weight of his form slammed down onto the floor, the entire room shook violently, causing things to fall from shelves, pictures to fall from walls, and whoever was hiding to have a real bad fall.

Jubilee jumped, but only a little. After all, she wasn’t stupid enough to think that she was alone. She had seen what had happened to the ghost in the living room. Light wasn’t exactly their friend. The glow coming from her body brightened as she grasped the X necklace she always wore and tore it off of her neck, dropping it onto the ground. Anyone who knew her would have known that her necklace was sort of like her expression of school spirit. She refused to wear the shirts because they were ugly. The only way her necklace could have left her was if she took it off herself and she would only do that if she had no plans in staying any longer.
“If you take my skittles I’ll kill you myself.”
Jubilee did nothing to avoid the net that now enveloped her and dispite the fact that she controled plasma, not light, she did nothing to escape their grasp. She wasn't in the mood. Besides, if she was captured someone would feel guilty and probably end up saving her, not that she wanted them to.

What was wrong with these students?! You tell them something is happening, they run off to find danger! You tell them that there are other students who need their help, other students like kids, and they yell at you for ordering them around. That was completely messed up.
Jubilee had run off, and soon after she heard Alice yelling. What was Jubilee doing to the girl? Like that would help! Then David was off, not waiting for her and wandering back into the darkness. Really? He couldn't just wait so she could have her flames banish the shadows? This was infuriating. "David, get back 'ere!"
Right then, she realized that she was left completely alone in the hall. Great... Well, Rory was checking for more students so that was understandable. The students were just trying to be heroes. Quickly, she hurried after David, but stopped when her flames were passing the infirmary, instantly lighting up the entire room. Where Hazel was sitting in a chair, as if waiting for the power to come back on. "Why are you zere? Shouldn't you be upstairs?"

When the lights had gone out, Hazel had been working in the infirmary, changing some of the sheets on the beds. Now, seeing as the infirmary had absolutely no windows, the lights going out was a bad thing. The only thing she could do, was just sit and wait. She didn't have to wait to long though, because before she knew it the hall outside the infirmary was bright, flames lining the walls. At first, she wondered what was going on, until she saw Freya. She should have known. No other Pyromancer at the school was that.... flashy. But no other pyromancer at the school happened to be a level five mutant.
"Waiting for the lights, obviously."
Her mind was wandering though. Had Rory and Freya figured it out yet? If they had... Wouldn't they have come to her? It made her smile, like she usually did when one of them was around. No. They didn't know. If they had, both of them would be freaking out. "You're welcome to wait in here with me. I'm sure several of the students will probably come here."

Alice was a freak. By personality and power. Mostly power. Alice’s power drove her to the brink of insanity on many occasions. After fifteen years, it’d had a tremendous affect on her overall personality. And in her mind? She had been registering her captive as a play thing. Something to entertain her. Something new.
And Jubilee had ruined all of it.
Jubilee made her drop her new friend. Jubilee tried to blind her. And now Jubilee was gone before she could lash out at her. Wait…. Where had the man in black gone?
Alice suddenly blinked, looking around, slightly bewildered as the shadows around her vanished, color returning to her eyes. Oh. There he was! The way she looked at him right when she spotted him…. It was creepy. As if suddenly perking up. “Why are you over there? What’s that?” He was holding… marbles? And now he was rolling them towards her….
The black smoke took her completely by surprise, the fifteen year old letting out a surprised yelp. She narrowed her eyes a little. What was the smoke? She found out pretty quickly. When she took a breath to be exact.
Slowly she blinked. Shapes were forming… Familiar shapes… Figures. Shadow figures. Her eyes were suddenly wide. Why was she seeing these?! She wasn’t making them! They only came when she made them come! When they came on their own….
“Bad. Bad bad bad bad bad bad bad.” Alice was shaking her head, as if telling whatever she was seeing no. They weren’t listening though. She could hear their whispers now. Oh this was really bad. They shouldn’t be here… They made her lose control. They brought the madness.
Her eyes weren’t the only thing going black this time. Shadows seemed to be crawling all over her body, like the Ghost’s armor, only her’s was moving as if alive. The room was void of all light, cave dark, where light was only a fantasy. The man’s equipment would probably let him see still, but what he did see would be bad. He might not have known it before now, but he’d realize it now. Alice not being able to control her power was very bad.
The darkness was moving, into monstrous shapes, crawling or slithering off the walls, floor, and ceiling and into the three dimensional world. Alice’s expression was that of pure madness, emotions that a fifteen year old girl shouldn't be having.

Rory simply shook his head at Jubilee as she walked away. He wasn't going to argue with her. He had warned her several times now, many times actually, and she still wanted to be arrogant and stubborn and leave. Fine, he would let her, and soon enough she would find out why he said to stay with everyone else. A bit cruel perhaps, but Rory had other things to do than argue with a stubborn teenager.
Just in case though, he followed a ways behind her. Far enough that she wouldn't know he was there, but close enough he could still hear her movements. He stopped though to watch Freya disappear deeper into the mansion. He couldn't help but feel a bit worried for her, and fear as much as he hated to admit it. The Agency was the only thing that had ever evoked that emotion from him, and they did it so easily.
Suddenly he heard what sounded like an explosion in the living room, and immediately dropped all thoughts about it and ran for the room. On the way there, there was another explosion, and then the entire mansion shook a little. This wasn't the Ghosts though, they didn't make sounds like that, and if it was the rest of the Agency the entire roof would be gone by now and the place would be overrun.
That meant that the students were fighting back, which was both good and bad in a way. Good that they were actualy able to stand up to the Ghosts to some extent, but bad in that it meant the Ghosts had found them. Regardless, he ran for the living room just in time to see the entire room covered in darkness. Now Rory could see in total darkness, though it was in black and white, he could see. Yet, around the girl he recognized as Alice, and across the floors and walls was darkness that he couldn't see through... As if it were alive.
Then he saw it, the Ghost just standing there, obviously aware that he was about to be defeated. A Ghost... Knowing he was going to be killed... Which meant losing... To a little girl... The entire scene made him drop his jaw slightly, though he quickly shook it off and moved toward the Ghost with his shotgun raised. Only one step into the room though, and the smell of Ghost poison hit him.
He quickly back peddled out of the room and covered his face. Apparently the Ghost had thrown those stupid marbles into the room, which meant Alice was probably hallucinating... Which was bad... Very, very bad. "Alice... Try to come toward me, you're being drugged, you have to get out of the room!" Rory shouted, causing the Ghost to jerk his head toward him, but not move yet.
Ghost's poison was extremely effective, but only worked so long as the person constantly inhaled it. If he could get Alice to leave the room, she would be back to normal in only a few minutes. Well... As normal as the girl ever seemed to be.

Ayden’s eyes shot open. Something was wrong. Very wrong. A swarm of new minds danced around her head, but they were…colorless. There was no emotion, no humor, no…anything. It was the closest thing to robotic she had ever heard. She disliked it. For once, she was grateful that her barriers were broken. She got out of her bed, not bothering to change out of her pajamas as she ran out of her room and down the corridor.
Simply because the minds were robotic, that did not mean she could not alter them. One of them who was hanging over her head soon was swept into an illusion that he was being devoured by fire ants. Normally she had more time to be creative, but now all she cared about was getting to Ororo’s office.
Another ghost attempted to attack her again and she shook him off her with another mental illusion, this one of invisible flames licking his skin clean off. She left him behind and jumped down most of the stairs, losing her footing only to scramble back onto her feet and dashed towards the office again.
She shook the door violently before beating it rapidly.
“David!”
That was the only thing she yelled at him before more robotic minds filled her thoughts. She readied herself to use her powers again, but this time, she drifted into their minds in hopes to discover some sort of a weakness she could mentally share with the others.
