*A room on the other side of the compound of this level had been dedicated just for Etheren to live in. Apocalypse had wanted to keep Ren close and not allow some of the other mutants around to corrupt her to be foolish. It had been decorated beautifully, lavishly dressed for a queen. There were tapestries, rugs, a giant bed with overhanging cloths. In her closet hung exquisit dresses that Ren would try on and show off every day. She was very happy here and never had the slightest thought of leaving. This was the only home she knew.*
*A few months back, Etheren had not come out of her room in the morning. One of the mutants given the 'opportunity' to aid Ren in any way fearfully entered the room. His body was later found just outside the door, the front of his body burnt to the bones and organs. Apocalypse determined Ren was going through a metamorphosis within her chambers and ordered all to stay away from the room. She would leave her room when she was ready. The months passed without a sound coming from the room.*
*As the sun sank low over the horizon, the sound of a door knob came from her hallway. The door opened and out came a tall, slender woman, her hair up and her beautiful gown adorning her precious body. She walked through the halls, heading toward the room he was in. Somehow Ren knew he was there, but did not know how. It was as if she could feel the pulse of energy he expelled and it hit her senses like a wall. She needed him, but why she did not know. Ren stepped up to the door but did not open it. She realized she was hungry, but not for food. What was it that needed to curb her appetite?*

Apocalypse was busy inside his room, studying up on the information Crystal had given him about Cain and the X-Men. Neither proved fruitful enough to form a defence or assault on either, but it was still enough to get him more knowledgeable about situations that were going on. Rose, the girl who defended his home against the sentinels was dead, Ian was lost from everyone, at least on the inside, and Cain had grown more powerful then even he had imagined.
He cursed himself for allowing that man to even set foot on his island, let alone know where it was. Not to mention the deaths that were caused on the island from David, Ayden and one from Ren had completely deminished his army greatly. He was irritated and in no mood to be interrupted, but suddenlty sensed a presence he hadn't felt in a long time coming in his direction. It was Ren, the girl he had taken from her parents and had raised her as his own. Next to Crystal, she was the most loyal he had in his army. He could sense something different about her as she stood outside his door.
"Come in, Ren, what is it.?"

*Ren opened the door and stood, looking at the contents of the room. A million pieces of technological equipment that she did not understand. Other pieces of equipment she did not recognize. A giant of a man covered in metal and pulsating with massive energy. Ren stared up into his eyes and let herself take in the sight. She had missed seeing his face.*
*Ren stepped into the room and stopped a few feet in front of the man she called her Father. Her eyes never left his, her body becoming hot with anticipation. But, why? What was going on with her? She had never acted this way...*
"Father, I have been asleep for a very long time, I can feel it. There seems to be a story here, one that I have not been a part of. I feel pain within this room, victory, and desertion."
*She stopped short with that last sentence. Ren had never spoken like this. It was as if she had become someone who knew much more than she should. She tore her eyes from his and gazed around the room. Energies pulsated from the surrounding instruments and she felt as if she was seeing a story unfold in front of her. But all of them included the man in front of her. All of a sudden, Ren wanted to hear his voice, hear him say her name again. She took another step forward but could not look up into his eyes. What were these feelings? She had never felt them before.*

"Ren, you've been away for far too long."
He looked to the girl and smiled slightly, remembering the child he had brought from the house and now standing infront of him as a full woman. She truely was a sight to behold to other men, but to him she was still the girl from the house. He looked around the room as she spoke of the feelings she felt from the room.
"Yes...much has happened."
He told her everythiing then. About Cain, how he had destroyed the brotherhood and x-men base, almost killed him and murdered Faith. He spoke of how Cain had gained power and everything else. He even told her of how he was forced to make a truce with Xavier in hopes of finding a way to stop Cain once and for all.
"Things have become dangerous, Ren, I fear I don't know what will become of us."
For the first time, he was worried, not knowing what was to become of the world with Cain running around doing what he could to gain power and destroy everything. He sighed and turned towards the computer, bringing the map up as he looked over it, wondering where Cain would strike next.

*Ren watched him as he explained all the terrible things that had happened and how they all revolved around the man named Cain. A feeling stirred up inside her, one screaming at her to use her power to end this man's life. Then she noticed something she had not seen from Apocalypse ever: worry. Ren thought he needed her even more now, someone to comfort him in his time of sadness. When he turned to the computer and brought up the map, Ren approached him quietly. Her velvet-soft fingers gently rested on his armored shoulder, cold to the touch. Her hand drifted down his arm and finally rested on his hand that held to the table below. A warm energy pulsated from her body, crossing over to his, warming the cold armor that encased his body. She smiled and closed her eyes.*
"I apologize for not being here when all these terrible things happened, but I am here now. I will not let anyone or anything destroy you or what you have created here. I would give my life to spare yours. This Cain will die for what he has done, and I shall end his life personally."

He looked to Ren as she touched his armor, causing him to feel warm inside. He gave her a strange look as if silently asking her what she was doing. He could tell she wasn angry from how her powers fluctuated. He could tell that she wanted to stop Cain as much as he did, but he shook his head when she spoke of stopping Cain herself.
"That would be most unwise, Ren, Cain can manipulate energy and any element. If you were to take him then you would most likely be destroyed yourself. Either by your own power or by Cain's hand."
He punched up the map of paris and brought up the view screen. He used the mutant tracking system on the computer to locate Freya. The overlay of paris caused his heart to sink a little. The city was almost in as much of a ruin as Tokyo was. A few more punches on the keyboard and he located Freya's signature in an abandoned apartment building. Someone was with her, and her lifesigns were fading fast. He stooed up from the computer and looked to Ren.
"I need you to find a woman named Tari Elensar. Tell her that her sister is dieing and is in need of her."

*Ren brought her hand away from him as Apocalypse looked at her. His shanking head made her confused, but understood when he explained the issue of Cain's abilities. She was about to protest when he returned to the computer, bringing up different maps. Ren let out an inaudible sigh. She looked around the room, trying to think of some way to convince him that she would do whatever was necessary to destroy Cain.*
*When she looked at the screen Apocalypse was looking at, she was utterly confused. And when he gave his orders to her, she did something she had not ever done before. Ren spoke back.*
"You want me to find someone so they can help another be saved? I thought you wanted the destruction of those not on our side? I have never heard of this Freya, or Tari. What is going on?"
*Ren would not leave without an explanation. She had changed much sense the past few months and did not think Apocalypse would act towards her the way he did towards other lesser mutants. He would not scold her for talking back or hurt her to do what he wanted. Ren realized within that split second that maybe, just maybe, she had that little bit of power over him.*

"Do not test my patience girl, least I show you what happens to those who question my orders."
He turned and stood towering over Ren. He did indeed bring her to this place, but he had no problems making sure this was the last place she ever saw. He slowly began to make his way towards her, his feelings about her questioning him obviously appearant on his face and in his eyes.
"The Elensar's are a vital peice in our battle against Cain and whatever he is planning. I do not need to be questioned on my methods by an underling."
His eyes narrowed coldly at her for a few moments before turning and heading out towards the entrance. He had to make plans to repair the base to the point where it can be moved. Xavier's school was going to be moving to a secluded area, and they must do the same. As he passed a few members of the brotherhood, he gave out orders for each one on what he wanted them to do. Each one nodded and went about their way, while others stood in wonder at what their master was planning.
"We must plan to move soon."
