Gabe was sitting at the table with his math book spread out before him, and a pencil in his hand. Gabe hated school work, he’d much rather be in his dorm room editing the video he had shot earlier that day. Gabe started twiddling with his pencil while he looked to see what time it was. Gabe almost swore when he saw the time on the clock. It had only been two minuets from the last time he had checked, it had felt like forever.
Gabe was getting really frustrated now, this assignment was due tomorrow and he had hardly made any headway on it. Gabe let out a frustrated sigh before he finally just gave up and looked around the mall, there had to be someone here that would be happy to help him, whether they were aware of it or not, it was just a matter of finding the right person. It wouldn’t help him if the person who “helped” him knew even less then him.
Gabe’s eyes scanned the crowed that was moving around him, trying to spot the person that could help him the most, although that could have been easier if he was psychic or if someone actually came up to talk to him.
After about ten minuets of scanning the crowed around him Gabe let out another frustrated sigh, although this one was quieter then the first, there had to be a better way to do this. Of course he could just go up to a random person and talk to them, though that didn’t appeal to him very much. Very well what else could he do to find someone who could help him?

*Steph walked in to the mall. A sigh of relief came to her. she loved to be in a big group. As she wondered around she poped in and out of stores. She did buy things that she liked, or looked good on her. After shopping for about three hours Stephanie noticed that she was hungry. She had never been to this mall so she wasn't sure if she would be able to find it. There were so many interesting sites and smells to sort through. But finally she found it. The smell of a fresh stake. Yum! She suddenly was craving that stake. So in result she followed her nose. "This feels very familiar...the others would have a hay day if they found out that I was doing this....I'm such a dog." Steph's thought wondered only for a little but but was brought back when she had to order her food. She wanted to get stake but the line was way to big. So she settled for the next best thing. A double stack cheese burger with out the cheese, pickles and onions. Yes there was a difference between just a burger and a cheese burger with no cheese... to her.*
*Once she had her food she noticed that this was quite a busy time. All the tables were taken. But that didn't bother her. She would just ask to sit with a stranger. She spotted the perfect person. A boy about her age with a text book out.*
Pardon me, but is this seat taken *She motioned to the seat across from him.*

Gabe focused and narrowed his eyes to one corner of the food court. He thought he had spotted someone who looked like they could help him with his, err, math problem. He had been so focused on that spot that he hadn’t even noticed it when Steph had come up to his table until she actually had spoken to him. When he was aware of the person who had approached his table he almost jumped, almost. He then turned his attention to the person who had walked up to the table he had been sitting at.
The speaker of the voice had been a girl about his age. Hmm he thought to himself. This could be exactly the person he needed to finish his assignment. He then put on his best smile. “Of course you may sit with me. To be honest I could use the company and a break from this annoying subject the oh so gracious leaders of our world say we need to learn.” Gabe always spoke like this. He had found out a while back that when trying to persuade someone to do what you want it always paid to use either flattery or refined words.

*Steph sat and smiled at the american boy who thought he was funny. She looked down at the text book. It was math. She gave out a little giggle.*
It has been quite a while since I saw math like that.
*Her French accent was more prominent now. French was her first language but she could hide it fairly well, when she wanted to. She knew that people here used a different system than she had learned. And she thought differently than most.*
So you are still in school?
*Steph was quite an open and talkative girl. She didn't feel ashamed about anything in her life and loved to talk to people, even if she didn't know the person that she was talking to. Just as long as that person is willing to talk to her.*
Oh, my name is Stephanie, I'm from France if you cant tell
*She gave a small laugh at her own sarcasm. Accents were one of the ways people figured out where others were from. If they had an Asian accent then they were form somewhere in Asia. Stephanie then opened the package that held her hamburger and she took a fair size bite.*

Gabe watched as Stephanie sat down in the unoccupied seat across from him. As she was sitting he took his chance to analyze her. She was pretty with her long blonde hair and ice blue eyes. When she said she hadn’t seen math like this in a while he cocked his head slightly to the side and stared at her with a curious glance. “Were you in college recently?” After all awhile was an undefined amount of time and awhile for one person was often different then awhile for another.
This girl might not be the type of person that he needed. If she hadn’t taken this kind of math class yet he would need to find another person who could “help” him. “Stephanie, huh? That’s a pretty name.” Gabe then stuck his out his hand across the table. “It’s a pleasure to meet you Stephanie. My names Gabe by the way, and I’m from right here.”
He then pretended to turn his focus to his text book. After about a couple of minuets of pretending to do his homework he looked up at Stephanie. “I really hate math. What about you?” He was hoping that she would like it. That way she could “help” him with his assignment.

*Stephanie shook her head at his first question. But she did have two older step siblings.*
My older sibling took it. I watched and helped when I could.
*She knew little of the math, but she could probably figure it out. If not she could always call her older brother. He would know what to do. He did pass the class with an A plus. She smiled at his comment about her name. She like the name, but she liked her wolf name better.*
You as well, Gabe, you should show me around sometime.
*She thought it would be nice to put that out there. If she wanted to go around in a tour like setting, she could always ask him...if he was around, and wanted to. She took his hand and shook it, she had a fairly strong hand shake, but that was before she was confident.*
Math is alright. The problem solving is fun, but the righting and calculating pointless problems, not so much fun. My older brother had me help him, partially because I had nothing better to do.
*She smiled and took a second bite from her food. Americans did know how to make their greasy food.*
