*Kitty had been sent away a few months ago to check out a possible mutant living in Serbia. And since she was fluent in Russian, she was a main choice to go. Turns out the person was a trap for her created by some random mutant group that consisted of ten mutants that did not know how to control their already weak powers. She tried to convince them to join her at the mansion and learn to understand their powers better, but they wouldn't listen.*
*The whole ordeal took many months of battling back and forth, trying to convince them, and finally trying to find her way back home. She was very confused when she could not contact the mansion or even Xavier and hoped nothing was going on that she was missing. But, she finally made it back and found things... different? They didn't look too different, but it very much felt different.*
*Kitty came through the gate, a backpack of her belongings the only thing she had brought with her. She looked around, not seeing anyone. It was strange because people were usually out, but she guessed... meetings? Classes? She had no idea. So, feeling too tired to go inside, she just sat down and got out an apple she had bought from in town.*
