*This time Train was the one doing the dragging. He had packed some things for a lunch and s'mores. He also packed something special, a surprise for after the time had past. This was where Train had first drug him when they first snuck out.*
*Train had taken Mariad to a predetermined spot, where a blanket was. He had previously come to this spot an hour in advance to make sure that the spot would be perfect. Train took her to the blanket and set down the basket. He was still hiding what was going on. But he had her sit and he sat as well. As far as she would know is that he just wanted to go out for a picknick. He puled out some food that he made himself.*
What do you want?

Train had been acting strange ever since he’d told her that the man who’d killed his parents was in town. Sure, she wasn’t acting normal either. She was being far more easily annoyed, knowing that… that monster was so close by, yet she had no idea what he looked like. It was frustrating!
But, when she found out about this date Train was planning, her frustration vanished, to be replaced with giddy joy. It wasn’t often Train did things like this, after all! For some reason, she just knew today was going to be perfect.
He’d lead her off to a spot that they’d come to so many times before, the lake. Her favorite spot. The day was bright and sunny, perfect for an outing such as this.
As she sat on the blanket, she watched Train start to unpack some of his basket, a soft smile seeming to be glued to her lips. Then he was speaking, and she had no answer! “Surprise me?” She chuckled softly. There were very few foods Mairead didn’t like, but Train knew all her favorites, seeing as they shared so many common ones. He’d know exactly what she’d enjoy.

*At the begining of the day Train was nervous about today. But seeing that smile on he face just made the fear melt away. He handed her a p.b.j. and put some fruit in the middle, so they could pick and choose what they wanted. There was little he could make with out leaving the mansion to go shopping so this would have to do. He wanted to ask her now, but he knew that he had to wait, wait for the perfect moment. When their mouths weren't filled with sticky peanut butter. He would wait until they became closer, and becoming romantic with each other, witch they always did. He knew that if he waited long enough the right moment would just appear.*

Trains nerves were obvious, but Mairead just couldn’t figure out why he was so nervous! As time passed though, it seemed to vanished, thank goodness! Still… It made her curious! What on earth was making him act this way? Not to mention she was the one that usually planned all their ‘dates’ since he only left the school when she made him come with her somewhere.
The silence as they ate was a comfortable one, neither having to speak. But just because the silence was comfortable didn’t mean Mairead would stay silent for long. She ate quickly, before rolling onto her stomach to gaze at Train with a smile. “So? Any reason you’re being more quiet then usual?”

*Train didn't realize that he was being quieter. He was trying so hard to act normal. Well guess that was impossible. He finished eating and shook his head, swallowing the food in his mouth.*
Nothing, I just thought it was time for me to plan something.
*He prayed that she would buy it. This wasn't the right time. Not yet right now. Train then started to worry, would the moment ever come?*

It wasn’t like Train was vocal to begin with. Mairead was probably the only person he was remotely social with… And even then he was a quiet one! It didn’t bug Mairead to much, seeing as she was overly vocal, so what he lacked in social skills she made up for.
“Hm….” Mairead stared at him for a moment, her head in her hands as she propped herself up on her elbows. “You really are acting strange…” She smiled a little, before rolling onto her back, staring up at the blue sky as Train finished eating.

*When Mairead looked away from him train looked towards the lake. would this really work? Maybe I shouldn't do this, maybe it's to soon. Train was now more nervous than ever. He finished eating and looked back at the most beautiful girl in his life.*
Mairead, what are your feelings... towards me?

Her feelings towards Train?
His question took her by surprise. Mairead tilted her head enough so she could see him again, gazing at him for only a few moments before returning her gaze to the sky. What sort of question was that? And how was she supposed to respond to it?
And how was she supposed to put her feeling towards him into words? Was it even possible? But why was he asking in the first place? Was he… What did it mean?! Was he trying to lead up to something? Was he going to break up with her..?
“… I don’t know how to say it…” She paused, an expression of deep thought on her face. “I can’t imagine you not being here… If that helps…” God, why couldn’t she find the right words to say?!

*Was that a good thing? Train hoped it was. He wanted to get to the question, but it was too soon. He wanted to wait until it got more romantic, and when she was seemed more in the mood.*
What do you think ....Ace and Kolm .....think of me?
*He knew that it didn't matter, but he had to think of something to say, quickly, at least this question would give him more time, time to think of how to lead up to the BIG question.*

Okay, What were these questions about? What was Train up to? Mairead fixed him with a very suspicious look, from the lips scrunched together to her eyes narrowed in that 'What are you up to?' sort of manner. She'd even gone and sat up so she could fix him with the look! After a moment though, she let the look vanish and crossed her legs, rocking back and forth a little, finally taking his question seriously and thinking.
What were Ace's and Kolm's feelings about Train? That was a tough call. "Well..." It wasn't like they hated Train, but they didn't know him all that well. Sure, they trusted Train enough, seeing as they were letting him date their youngest cousin, but the two were still keeping an eye on him, just in case. "They like you. Though they don't know you as well as they'd like, I think they have come to accept that you won't be that open with them." Again, of course her cousins didn't hate Train! Just wished Train would be able to at least talk to them for more then a few words.
Mairead's gaze turned back to Train again, that suspicious look back. "You're still being really strange..."

*Train looked down, feeling that he had failed. He wasn't good at this, and probably never be able to get the actually question out. He didn't even know that she would say "yes." Maybe he should just though the idea and just say that he felt like doing this. But then would he ever get up the courage to do it again? She was perfect for him, but he wasn't anywhere near good enough for her. He looked down at the basket, the ring was in his pocket, he hadn't let it out of his sight, since he got it.*

Train's silence irritated Mairead a little. If only because he only seemed silent because he couldn't trust her with something. Like he wanted to say something, but couldn't. It was irritating! They'd been together for so long he should be able to trust her by now!
She didn't want to get mad though.... Maybe he was just scared? There were things even Mairead might hesitate to share with even Train just because she was scared, hell, he'd never even known about her 'family' situation until he caught her fuming over a letter.
With a sigh, Mairead shifted, crawling on her hands and knees to where Train sat, her head tilted slightly as she gazed at him. "Please tell me what's wrong?"

*Train looked up when Mairead spoke. He HAD to do it NOW. He knew that it was taking a leap of faith but it just seemed like as good as time as ever. Train moved his hand to his pocket and pulled out the small black velvet box, still hiding in his hand. He grabbed Mairead's right hand and placed it in it. All the time never stopping looking at her. He didn't know what would happen now, and he was scared of being rejected. He wanted her to answer but he almost didn't at the same time.*

His silence really was unnerving. He usually wasn't this silent with her! Or, silent with out a reason. Sometimes he was silent because his head was hurting, or something else, but his expression wasn't pained, so it couldn't be that. When he suddenly grabbed her hand and placed something in it. What the hell? Mairead quickly glanced down at whatever it was with a surprised and startled expression.
Seeing the box though, shock was the only thing she could feel. Was that... What she thought it was?! She shifted a little, so she could carefully open the box... It was!
Mairead's gaze quickly returned to Train, her expression hard to read as she tried to keep it blank. "Say it... Please?"

*Train's worry was exchanged for a smile when Mairead opened the box. He paused when she asked him to say it. Would he be able to get the words out of his mouth? What would be the response after the words were out? But he had to take another leap.*
Will you........Meiread........marry ............me?
*It was easier than he had thought but still rather hard to say. He wanted to be with her and couldn't Imagen him getting closer to anyone else.*
