Trust me dear, I'll take care of dinner and the kids, you go ahead and sit down.
::he smiled when she addressed him like a wife would a husband. He couldn't help but return the comment as he did. Before she could react, he turned and headed into the jet. He looked made sure to grab the cornbread out of the oven, his nose picking up the smell. He smiled, anticipating how good dinner was going to be. He came down from the jet holding the bread on a small tray as he started walking towards the fire::

*She shook her head at him and sat down, just like he told her to. She looked around and some of the others stillweren't back. She knew of one way to get them to listen and head back to camp and if they didn't show themselves fairly quickly she would have to resort to that.*
*Storm yawned and leaned in on her legs, closing her eyes slightly and drifted off to sleep by the time her 'hubby' returned with the cornbread.*

::he also noticed that not many of the crew had come back yet. In fact Clarissa was still the only one at the fireplace with Sarah and Storm. He sighed inwardly as he came to sit next to Storm, and looked to her as he saw she had fallen asleep. Smiling, he set the tray down and took of his hacket once more and gently placed it around her shoulders to not wake her up. He then turned and looked to the fire, waiting for the others to come back::

*Storm stirred slightly when Logan's jacket went upon her shoulders again and she lifted her head as if it were the heaviest thing on the planet and tiredly gazed around. Even though there were people right beside her she didn't see them for some reason. Both Logan and Clarissa had vanished and her head fell onto her knees again and she was asleep before she could even start thinking again.*

::he watched her as she stirred, looking up and looking around. He sighed and stood up, gently picking storm up as he did and carrying her to her tent. He was thankful she was in such a rush into the forest that she didn't bother closing her tent up. He carried her into the tent and laid her down onto her bag. He then walked out of the tent and headed back towards the fire. He took the pot of chilli and placed it on the metal table that came with it next to the fire pit::

*When he picked her up Storm suddenly became wide awake again. Her head shot up and in doing such slammed into Logan's chin. She winced and pushed herself out of his arms and onto the ground, still not really sure of what was going on.*
"Logan, what are you doing?" *She asked, trying to be patient, but it was clear that she was very confused.

::well at least that was his plan when he picked her up. But when she became wide awake and pushed from him, which he almost dropped her when her head went into his chin. He sat down next to her and rubbed his chin, glad that he didn't end up biting his tongue when she hit him. Granted it would've healed, but it also still would've hurt like hell::
I was going to take you to your tent so you can get some rest.

*She rolled her eyes and started to push away from him to get back on her feet.* "I'm hungry." *She stated bluntly.* "I told you I was going to eat and then I would go to bed. Sleeping on an empty stomach means hell in the morning." *While she struggled against him she couldn't help but feeling...right. She wasn't sure why, but the fighting didn't help it.She wasn't sure what it was though.*

::he shrugged and let her go so she could be on her own. He decided trying to get Storm to sleep would definetly be something he would never be able to do. He stared at the fire for a while before grabbing a small stick and poking at it to keep the embers warm. He couldn't help the feeling that holding her felt more than just helpful, it felt pretty nice. He just shrugged it off as being a friend though, since they had known each other since he had arrived::

"I will."
*she retorted before turning back to the fire and serving up the chili and cornbread, giving a bowl to Clarissa and one to Logan. She had another one prepared for someone else, but there wasn't anyone else there. She snarled and rolled her eyes. Shortly after a deafening crash of thunder burst through the air above them. If that didn't get the others' attention then nothing would.*
*Storm sat down again and started to eat the chili and cornbread, after smothering the bread with honeybutter. Even she had to admit that she was good.*

::he thanked storm when she handed him the chilli. Taking some cornbread, he dipped it into the chili and took a bite of it. He had to admit that Storm was a good cook. He wondered what other surprises she had that were a mystery towards him. When he looked up as the lightening flashed, he looked to her and then went back to eating. He knew that, mutant or know, when a woman gets that angry she's definetly tired::

*She raised a brow at Logan's cautious expression with the burst of thunder, then sighed and shook her head.* "It was to tell everyone to re-group." *Ororo explained before Logan would even have a chance to comment on it.* "I'm not mad because they aren't here, I just want them to know that they've been out long enough and need to get their hides back here before I do get mad."

::he looked to her with his usual half smile. He didn't want to carry on the conversation so he decided to change it to another subject::
This is pretty good chili, and the cornbread is good to.

*She smirked slightly and swallowed her mouthful before speaking.*
"Thanks. One of my best friends growing up had an uncle who was a pretty hard core mountain man. He taught me the secret to the chili and cornbread. Chili, I'll never tell, and cornbread is to cook it in a skillet and with sour cream."
*She smiled and turned back to her food. For some reason talking to Logan now was a bit...awkward. What was the deal with that? Whatever was happening was really...weird.*
((That really is the way to get kickass cornbread!))

::after taking another bite of the chili off of his cornbread, he couldn't help but look at it. He wondered why there was a taste of sour cream in it. He looked to her with a smile and continued to eat::
It's really good.
