Book store

Sam walked into the book store the little bell going off when he opened the door he went strait to the fiction section he looked over the books for awile as much as Sam read there still was so much that he had even looked at he looked at a few covers of each book pulling them form the self to his hand or back on to the shelf

Once he had a good pile of books form it seemed each secontion in the store Sam walked over to the little cafe inside of the book store and orderd a coffee and a lemon bar he started looking threw the books fliping the pages of them he buy some of them latter take the rest home with the five finger discount it didn't matter he just needed something to do the base was hell right now with phonix and he didn't want to hang around there with that Xmen hank around there so out side the base was the best for reading and everything at the momnet.

Dakota had told her sister that she needed to go out and get away from the school right now she loved her sister but things felt so different it was like she was hiding something for her and Dakota didn't like that they were twins and Kota was there to protect her sister. Kota would die for Revie without thinking twice. Hugging her sister she smiled before walking out. She walked through the school it was quiet most of the students went home for the summer but with the problems she was having with her parents she didn't want to go so she stayed in the safety of the school.

Walking into the garage she looked at all the cars and smiled they were allowed to borrow any when they wanted Kota did it all the time. Grabbing the keys to the mustang she got in the drivers side started and backed out of the garage carefully moving around the other cars to get out. Once she was out she drove down the driveway. Driving always relaxed her it was nice of one of the x-men to teach her. Forgetting all about her problems she drove to North Salem there was a book store she really loved and she needed a new book to read.

Parking the car she locked it before walking into the store and going straight back to fiction row scanning all the book she stopped at one that looked interesting picking it up she smiled. Not ready to go back to what she felt was a prison she walked over to the cafe ordered a tea. Turning she looked around for a table founding one next to a boy with a lot of books. Quietly she walked passed him and took a seat. Finally feeling relaxed she started to flip through her book.

Sam fliped threw one of the fiction books he had grabbed looking threw them he sighed after getting the first chapter done he looked up and ran his fingers threw his hair the book was a disapointment but the girl in front of him wasn't. Sam watched her for a moment or two she had some nice legs at lest form what Sam could tell maybe in some tighter pants they be better but he chould see her in them.

Well snece the book was such a disappointment and Sam got up for a second and ordered a chocolates cup cake then walked back over and set the cupcake on her table but just walked pass with out saying a word he needed something to do a young girl like that may bealbe to keep his mind off of things see how easy she was maybe sam chould have a bit more fun it not like he hadn't done it before and Sam was sometimes a nice guy he just didn't do something with out reason for him to do it even if the simple reason was he was just board and wanted to talk but not come across as to strong heck the girl looked nice maybe they had something in common besides books.

Dakota took a breath as she turned page after page she was a fast reader and was already on chapter four. This was helping her take her mind off the thoughts in her head about hating school but not wanted to be at home so she really had no choice besides she didn't want to leave her sister. Taking a sip of her tea she went back to her book she was the silent type one that really didn't do well around other people but she was trying to work on that so she could open up more. Tilting her head as she looked at the chocolate cup cake for a minute before putting her book down.

This had never happened before and she was confused on what this meant maybe he was just being nice? Deciding to play ago to see what he wanted she smiled at him wondering if he was going to come back or make her get up and follow him. She didn't want to seem easy so she decided to just smile for now; but when he did stop walking she sighed. Was it all a trick was he just playing with her. Looking at the cup cake then to the boy again she made up her mind and got up.

“Excuse me did you want to join me?” she asked as she quickly followed him.

Sam smirked when he hurd the girl talk asking if she wanted to join her she turned around with a sweet smile “O sure just let me grab my stuff” he walked over to his table grabbed the pile of books and the lemon bar and moved over and sat next to her. His eyes scaned her over once more taking in every detel of her in case he needed to use it latter how she was belt he made some quick esiments in his head about her bra size pants, shoes they where lose esitments for now they get better the more time he got to spend with her.

Sam looked at the book she was reading scanning it for a second before he spoke Sam wasn't a person to talk all the time or more he didn't talk in crowds this one on one stuff he was o.k with “so what are you reading there” he said “i thought I saw that on the shelf is it any good” he looked her in the eye giving her a nice smile one that chould melt some girls heart but this girl might not be as easy as that and sam wasn't beating on that if she was even worth any time she whouldn't fall for simple little tricks.

Dakota smiled as she sat back down and watched him walking to his table to get this things she looked him all over and secretly liked what she saw. Making sure she turned away before to turned to sit down she picked up her cup cake and took a small bite she loved chocolate. Picking up her tea she took a sip as she thought about things reminding her mind to not get ahead of herself because she didn't know what this guy was up too. Putting her mug down and to the side so it wasn't in the way she smiled at him as she thought about something to say she was not going to lie to herself and say she wasn't nervous about this.

Lucky for her she didn't have to think about something to say because he had taking a breath she listened to him and looked at the book she was reading before looking at him. “It's called the Fallen its about Fallen Angel's and a forbidden love.” she said explaining the book a little. “It's okay I like it but its not the best that I've read.” she was finding it really easy to talk to him and didn't understand why. His smile was nice but was it a real one or one that was just trying to use her for a good time?

She wasn't the known as the Ice princess for no reason after all so she was not falling for the smile to much she liked how it looked on his face but she didn't melt or anything she didn't know if that was what he was trying to do but if he was he was going to have to work a little harder to melt her heart of Ice.

“What are you reading?” she asked as she looked at his pile of books.

Sam looked at the book so it was a fiction about love girls chould be so perdicabule sometimes when it came to books seemed all they cared about was the perfect boy in the books “so romeo and Juliet but with angles I guess thats cool do they move as fast as in Romeo and Juliet I always felt they moved a bit to fast for my self I mean they kiss before knowing who each other names”

He looked at his pile off books there was a lot of them but what one was he even reading before he picked up the book and sighed “It called the Giver form what I have gotten so far it about a perfect world everyone gets a job but im not loving it, I don't get it there can't be a perfect world there aways going to be some idiot out who wants to pick a fight with someone and someone always going to get there self’s in to trouble” Sam flipped the pages in the book quickly and sighed before he looked at her again seeing that he may of ruined any charm he may have had with her in the first place “look sorry I’m a bit of a downer guess it hard to believe in a perfect world”

Kota listened to him and smiled “No in this one the couple have past lives and every time they find each other and remember the love these fallen angels kill the girl and he boy as to wait for another chance, but this time they are trying to not get killed” she said explaining some of what she had read. “No I don't think they moved to fast like Romeo and Juilet.” Looking at the book he said he was reading she hadn't read that yet and if his opinion of it wasn't that good maybe it was not worth the buy.

Names? She didn't know his name, she wondered if she should tell him her name or if she should wait she was not great at social skills. He was hot so she was having a hard time with that to her emotions were high and she feared that she was going to freeze her tea or something which would not be good being around all the humans. Listening to him talking about the book and the world not being perfect. He was right there the world was messed up, her parents were more concerned about her sister then Kota but that was her fault for acting so strong.

“Nothing to be sorry about it is hard to believe in a perfect world. Nothing will ever be perfect again” she whispered the last part. She was secretly angry at the world for everything it took from her she wanted to get even but knew she couldn't she had to stay strong for her twin Revie. It's all Dakota knew its all she was raised to do and that was protect her sister. Looking at the boy she smiled he wasn't being a downer she understood what he meant. Reaching out she took her tea cup in her hand and in an instant the tea was froze solid. Blinking she looked around before pushing the cup to the side pretending nothing happened.

Sam watched her as she spoke seeing the way she moved if there was anything she did like if she clicked her tongue or any habbits that people don't know that they have most the time. Sam couldn’t help but to smirk when she said that the world couldn’t be perfect again under her breath. He chould use that just a simple statement like that and Sam could have her eatting out of the palm of his hand.

That was until Sam noticed that when she had smiled at him and put her tea back down her tea was a sloud now Sam made a mental note of that she could freeze something that was near boiling in a second witch ment she could freeze blood as well just as fast if she ever think of using her power in that way. Now it was time to make his move to start making her feel like they where friends or maybe more.

“You want me to get you another tea, little slip ups like that can be a pain sometimes” He looked at her with a smile “the name is Samuel by the way” as soon as he knew that she was looking at her he made his yes turn bight blue for a second for her then back then he placed his finger over his mouth “i promise not to tell if you don't”

Dakota hated showing that she was mad at the world and her parents for treating her like they do. She knew Revie was strong but her parents were to hard on Kota to watch out for her. Shaking her head as she tried to calm down she knew at this point her powers were growing. Looking up at him when he spoke about getting her a new tea. Her eyes grew big he had noticed what was she going to do what if he was going to be mean? Shaking a little bit she felt caged and at his mercy because he knew what she was and he had all the power he could totally yell mutant and have humans attack her or he could totally try to use her for something. All these fears raced through her head, maybe he was going to be nice and like what she could do and be friends.

He was smiling making Kota's fears go away she realized that she just met him but she felt she could trust him especially when he turned his eyes blue. So he was just like her had powers. “A new tea would be great but I would only freeze it again my emotions are high and I am still learning to control.” she said with a whisper so only he could hear. She listened to his name and smiled “I'm Dakota” she said returning her name so he knew hers too.

She watched as he placed his finger over his mouth promising not to tell if she didn't “I promise” she said softly as she looked at the frozen solid tea. “At least it wasn't a pool again” she said with a laugh. Looking up Sam she smiled and blushed she was starting to have a crush on him but won't say it because she didn't want to ruin it.

Sam watched the fear in her eyes as she figured out that he knew she was a mutant and she was figuring out what to do if she should run o Sam chould of right then told her that he'd tell the world if she didn't do everything he wanted make her go to the mutant camp that the roomers where about watch her bow down to his feet but no he had another idea.

Sam smiled he knew she wouldn’t tell no mutant ever did and even if she did what stoped Sam from saying prove it with his powers it was hard to really prove anything even if they did some test Sam would just make it appear he was human to the world no problem.

Sam gave a slight fround when she said that she didn't have control of her emosions right now and that she just freeze another “I understand” he lied “thinks like that can be tricky” really he was more then happy to know that she didn't have control and her emosions where on high right now ment he chould play a bit more “well if your just going to distroy the tea dear why don't you let me take you out tonight I know this nice club how does that sound me and you can dance the night away and don't worry this one they let teens go in part of it but if you want to go to the adult section i'll do my best to get us in”

Sam had his small smile on her wondering what she think yes Sam didn't really like clubs people got out of hand some times the only reason why they where any good was to sit back and watch as girl danced in short skirts and tight tops.

Dakota watched him closely trying to figure him out, trying to figure out if he was safe and being honest. Part of her wished her sister was here she would know his thoughts. Re-focusing her emotions she dropped the fear in her eyes and became hard to read. Taking a breath she wondered what he was thinking she never saw him at school and that worried her a little but she was told she should try to make friends and get over this fear of people she has had for as long as she could remember.

Listening to him talk about understanding she smiled she always thought people would not understand that she was sixteen and couldn't get a hang of her powers when she was scared, upset or angry. Thinking hard about his next statement. A club? Meaning lots of people? There had to be another place they could go.. Her breathing was getting heavy as she thought about it “I...” she had to trust the person she was with to go to a place like that.

“I don't...well I have this thing about being around a lot of people. I actually hate it” she admitted as she got herself and her breathing back under control just as fast as she had lost it. “Is there a place we could go to dance that would not be so crowded?” she would have to go out she never did and it would be something new she could do and learn from. She had a new outfit she wanted to wear a sexy thing a short skirt and a baby blue low cut tank top.

“I mean if you think it will be safe I'll go but really I don't do well in a large group of people.” she wondered what he was going to say or do would he still want to hang out with her after she said she hated lots of people.

Sam smiled when she didn't like large crowds that was perfect he didn't eaither he reached for her hand and gentaily held it “Dakota I won't make you do anything you don't want to I just said the club because I figured it be a good date you no having fun dancing around all night, but if you don't want to we can just go watch a movie at the apartment I stay at when i'm in town if it sounds better” he gave a small sweet smile to her “it not far from hear and I have a good selection of movies a bit of everything really maybe a nice movie will calm your nerves”

Sam held her hand lightly so if she wanted she chould pull away he was wanting her to fall into his trap and so far it was working yea maybe the club was a bit strong for someone like her who it seemed didn't like to party to hard but it didn't matter just needed to take her somewhere else and he was always fine with less people much better for him her on the other hand things wouldn't be perfect if Sam got them to work they way he wanted to.

Dakota watched him closely as she waited to see what he was going to say she figured he would get up and walk away seeing she said no to going to the club. She wondered what his intentions are did he really want to be her friend or was he playing her? She didn't know but she wanted to find out before she got to attached. She would have to be be careful just in case. Blinking as he started to reach for her she let him take her hand. Listening to him talk about how he wasn't going to make her do something she didn't like.

His apartment? He wanted her to go to his apartment? Was that moving to fast? Her mind was on over load now trying to figure out what she would do she wanted to hang out with her new friend but didn't want to seem like an easy girl that would give up anything for him. She took a slow breath in before letting it out. “I like dancing just not at loud and insanely packed clubs” she said softly in a sweet tone. Still thinking about what he suggested she had no answer for him yet

She looked at her hand and his not sure if she should pull it away or not she wasn't acting crazy just well safe. “I guess watching one movie won't hurt” she said with a smile. She could go back to school before she got in trouble for being late. If anything went wrong she could probably defend herself and get out of there.

Sam smiled at her and fished his food not letting go of her hand she was being careful witch she should be he wasn't a trusting person but he would play her like a harp she was just that simple now because she was a mutant and not some human that did add her points on the useful scale and maybe he wouldn’t break her as bad in the end.

After he was done and he was sure she was done he stood up and picked up her books along with his and stacked them in his arms making sure to keep them separate he then helped her up and then walked out the door the Alarm did go off when Sam went threw but no one would of herd it at all in fact it didn' t start going off until Sam and Dakota where almost a block away right when some poor old guy was walking threw with only a few books.

“We will watch a movie today then we will find a place to go dancing that not a club” he smiled “and you just wanted one movie tonight right fine by me i'll let you pick the movie then when we get to my place”

Sam walked down the street until they reached an apartment building Sam walked in and went straight up stairs when he got to the door he tried his best to pull his key out of his pocket there was only about 9 or so books together he wasn't sure how many books he had gotten this time he even got that one that he didn't like.

He unlooked the room opened the door for her best he chould “Welcome to my home away form home” he said the room was a simple room there was one bed in the center off the room across form the bed was an o.k size tv with two book self on eaither side of the tv one for movies and the other was full of books there was a reading chair in the far corner with night stand with a small pile of books on it as well the room looked normal besides the fact that being a boys room it was clean and the fact that in one of the free corners there apeared to be a staff an long Japaneses sword and some other knifes and what not. Sam smiled at her “It not much I only really come hear when I want out of where im living for a bit and right now there are some people who are driving me up the wall” she said pulling down the books and making sure that her book was not with his he wanted to make sure he didn't grab her book in the end and she have to come back for it.
