Abigail entered the book shop with a nod to the man behind the counter. He glanced up at her and nodded his hello back. She was quickly becoming a regular with her weekly visits. She never bought more than a book or two but she would spend hours just looking.
Today Abigail was just looking. Her last temp job hadn't paid her enough to cover her rent and a book this week. She was a bit dissapointed, but she could understand why her pay had been cut back a bit. She hadn't been the most careful person on shift. In fact, she could hardly remember what it was the last temp job had been. She shook her head as she gently ran her fingers along the spines of some of the newer books.
"Read it. Read it. Didn't like. Hmm..." She mumbled to herself as she absentmindedly glanced at the titles. Maybe she should ask the clerk if he had any recommendations for her. Abigail scowled and shook her head. She couldn't do that. She couldn't buy another book. That would have to wait until next week if she could get work.
Abigail sighed and reluctantly left the shop, pulling her dark grey hoodie over her face firmly. She didn't really know why she went into the shop.... The reflection told her to. She didn't want to do what her reflection told her, but it always ended up sounding like a good idea.
She headed to the local coffee shop, careful to not look at anything that might give off her reflection. She didn't want to listen to any ideas her reflection might have. She was too broke to do so. She carefully entered the shop, waiting for the elderly man to pass in the doorway. He gave her a puzzled stare as he left. Abigail sighed and pulled her hoodie closer. She was used to the stares, But she still didn't like them. Couldn't they just get used to the fact that she was as white as paper? She grumbled to herself as she approached the counter and ordered a small latte with extra cream.
"Thank you" She mumbled as the barista handed her the drink and she made her way to a small table in the back. She sat down and quietly sipped her drink, watching the people as they went in and out of the shop.

Naomi had just gotten done helping with the family business and was now checking out the world outside the circus. After walking around for a few hours, doing some light window shopping, she finally stopped at a small coffee shop that looked like it would sell some awesome sugary sweets, she wasn't allowed to eat the “merchandise” and there was only so long one can survive on sugar cubes.
Upon entering the shop she made a beeline to the counter ignoring the stares she was receiving from the other people in the shop, it was like they have never seen gothic lolita clothes before.
After ordering a slice of chocolate mousse cheesecake, a white chocolate cupcake, and a medium coffee that had more sugar and cream in it then coffee, she looked around the room trying to find a place to sit down before spotting someone sitting alone in the back.
After making her way to the table she tapped the girl on the shoulder, “Mind if I sit here?” Not waiting for a response she sat down anyway and started on her cheesecake not giving the girl across from her another glance, ahhhh this was heaven.

Abigail had grown bored of people watching and had pulled out one of her favorite books. It was yellowed with age and the pages made a crisp sound with ever turn. She had read it so many times she could recite it by heart... Or she used to be able to. He mind wasn't quite the same as it was during her visit to the mental ward. She smiled to herself as she lost herself in the book. Every so often she would set her book down and take a sip of her quickly cooling latte. She took these brief pauses as a moment to go back to her people watching.
Abigail had just picked up her book again when she noticed a girl who would have been unremarkable except for her clothes. She peered over the top of her book as she watched the girl almost run toward the counter. "Coffee is coffee.." She mumbled to herself as she took another sip and proceeded to loose herself in her book again, mumbling to herself in a combination of broken Russian and English.
She had just gotten to her favorite part of the story, when she felt a hand touch her. Abigail nearly came up out of her seat in a blind panic. She hadn't expected anyone to bother her. She had picked this corner because it was the farthest away from the windows and any light filtering in. She took a few deep steadying breaths and slowly set her book down and she looked up to see who had bothered her. Abigail was a little startled to see it was the girl who had rushed to the counter just a few minutes before. Abigail watched as the girl proceeded to make herself comfortable. She couldn't help but notice the amount of sweets she had brought to the table as well.
"May I help you?" She asked quietly as she watched her begin on the slice of cheesecake. She shifted nervously and marked the page in her book with a pale lavender ribbon almost the color of her eyes. She had a feeling this might take a while. After all, it wasn't every day someone sat down next to the crazy albino girl.

Naomi watched the other girls reaction to her approaching and almost burst out laughing, almost. She was professional performer after all she was able to keep her emotions under control. Though she hadn't expected her to practically jump out of her skin. She most not be around a whole lot of people.
Naomi took another bite of cheesecake when her attention turned back to the girl across from her. After just staring at her for a few seconds before shrugging and taking a sip of her coffee. “Not really. I just felt like sitting here. When you spend most of your life getting stared at by a bunch of people sometimes its best just step out of the spot light.”
Naomi took her third bite of her beloved cheesecake, and yes it was beloved, before she spoke again. “What about you? Why did you choose the dark spot in the corner?” Naomi didn't really care but it seemed appropriate to keep the conversation going as the other girl had initiated it.

Abigail toyed with her ribbon bookmark absent mindedly as she looked the girl over. The first things she noticed were obvious to most people. Hair and eye color. Height, weight, and approximate age. Abigails interest was in how quickly the girl across from her was devouring the cake. "...Pirog..." she corrected herself under her breath. Cheesecake was a tart, not a cake. She had done a bit of reading on that subject, but then again, there were few subjects she hadn't read something about.
"I prefer to be far away from the light. It makes my head hurt." She said simply as she tucked her book back into her bag and pulled her hoodie closer around her small body. "And I did not expect anyone to notice me in the darkness."
Abigail took a few moments to admire the other girls clothes, she would have to make a note of the style. It was much different from her normal ensemble of black leggings, black skirt, and over sized sweater. She shrugged and shook her head, her eye catching her reflection of the napkin dispenser. Abigail quickly turned it to reflect something other than her face before the reflection noticed her. She didn't particularly want to talk to it today, especially after it had tried to convince her to spend her coffee money on books, not that that would have been a bad thing.
"May I inquire as to the sweets you purchased?" She asked as she nodded slightly at the cupcake. The girl seemed to be eating them as if they would be taken from her at any moment. Abigail wasn't much for sweets and found more than a few bites to upset her stomach, though there were days that she couldn't help but eat until she was sick. Mostly at the great enjoyment of the Reflection.

Naomi was only half paying attention to what the girl in front of her was doing. She did notice, but it was out of the corner of her eye. When the girl said she didn't like light Naomi just shrugged. “As I mentioned before I spend a lot of the time in the spot light so its nice to be in the shadows every once and a while. As for not noticing you in the darkness thats kind of why I chose this spot. Whats better then having the two weird girls sitting in the dark corner of the cafe?”
When Abigail shifted her gaze away from the napkin dispenser Naomi's eyes locked onto what she was staring at but only slightly raised an eyebrow before dismissing it. Finishing her cheesecake Naomi moved onto the cupcake. “I just really love sugar and all the treats we have at my place are for other people and sugar cubes can only go so far before you need something else sugary.”

Abigail sipped her latte only to cringe slightly when she discovered that it was now cold. She was glad she had only ordered a small this time. The past few times she had ordered a large and had to throw it away. She always managed to get lost in thought or a book at the coffee shop.
"Two weird girls?" Abigail inquired as she watched a group of teenagers enter the shop. She wasn't quite sure what the other girl meant. She looked normal enough, other than the pace of her eating, but that wasn't very out of place either. Abigail shifted nervously, She felt like the girl didn't have any interest in company and had only picked this spot because it was secluded. She wasn't sure if she should excuse herself and head back to her apartment or if she should continue to sit her and make small talk until the girl left.
Abigail listened politely as the girl started on the cupcake, carefully watching her so as to make sure she heard everything correctly. She made a silent note to herself as the girl spoke. She didn't quite understand the concept of eating sugar cubes, Why would anyone want to ingest vast quantity's of pure sugar? 'This girl must have a strong stomach... Stronger than mine at least..' She thought to herself. 'Perhaps she's hypoglycemic and needs the sugar? Though I shouldn't ask such personal things...' Abigail nodded silently to show she had been listening and watched as the group of teenagers left the shop.

Naomi took a sip of her own coffee and smiled when she tasted more sugar and cream then actual coffee, and sometimes she wondered why she ordered coffee in the first place but she was getting off topic, putting the cup down she nodded. “Yep weird. Not normal, and before you say anything I am not normal. I mean just look at the way i'm dressed. I can tell you right now that no “normal” American teenager would be wearing gothic lolita out in public.”
Naomi gave her a quick smile before going back to her cupcake, only pausing to take a sip of her sugary drink.

Abigail turned her attention from the people going in and out and back to the girl. When she mentioned her clothes Abigail made a mental note as to what it was called. She would have to visit the library on her way home and find some reference books on the style. She was curious as to what 'gothic lolita' was in a whole.
"Perhaps you are right." She said quietly as she once again admired the other girls clothes. They definitely were out of place, but the girl herself didn't seem to different from the people she had seen in the city. She had seen quite a few types of people in the time that she had sat quietly to people watch.
Abigail watched as the girl proceeded to eat her cupcake. Watching the girl eat was making her a bit hungry. She remembered she had left the apartment before eating in a rush to do as The Reflection had told her. She was quickly regretting that decision. She toyed with her cup as she debated getting up and ordering something small to eat.
