It didn't seem long before Beast was back in the labs of the institute and working away. He had forgotten how long he had been gone from the mannor and had buried himself into his work immediately. Part of it involved an infant after all. So it was delicate work and delicate experiments were always ones that had to be treated properly.
He was re-analyzing the serum he created to speed up Phoenix's birth. Curiousity made him wonder if it would work again. Certianly they couldn't afford such a powerful child to come into the world of the Brotherhood. And the two of them would be looking for a baby...not a child. The only problem would be Victor's senses. But manipulation of genes like that would take more time. Hiding her amongst the population of the school could give him that time. At least that was the best plan he had for now.
Beast had placed the baby on an examination bed, but then sealed it into what seemed to be an isolation dome. It was there to plot all of the data for him and take into account any damage that may occur in the process of his little experiment. He took a moment to take in all of the base data before he injected the serum into the device to disperse to his subject.

Jean had been pacing in her room for awhile now. It had been too long since she had heard anything from Hank. Ever since he had left with Victor Creed and The Phoenix she had not heard one word from him. It was too much for her to handle thinking he was dead. He couldn't be dead they needed him to help with the baby and its health along with the health of the mother. Jean was still rattled about The Phoenix being alive and even worse outside of her body in a different one. She was also relieved that she was in a different body. That meant that Jean was free. She would never have to worry about that ever again.
The red haired woman stopped pacing and made her way out of her room. She needed to do something. She couldn't just sit in her room pacing the floor. She would wear a hole in the floor from how much she did that. Jean was a worrier and she did not trust Victor and Phoenix at all. She walked down the stairs and to the kitchen where she grabbed a bottle of water and leaned against the counter thinking. She hoped Hank was alright but she had to make sure. Standing straight she started towards the basement and the labs where she had left the detector for Hanks distress signal. Maybe she could find something on there. She had work to do in the lab anyways. As she walked into the lab she stopped as she saw Hank standing there working on something.
"Hank! Wh-when did you get back?! I've been so worried."

Beast barely even seemed to notice that Jean had joined him in the room. He was too busy analyzing the data in the tablet in his hands. Remarkable. This was going to suit his ideas perfectly. But finally he turned up his gaze to the red headed woman. "Oh yes, Jean. I thought you would like to meet a new student. I ran into her by chance and she needed some medical attention. But she will be fine now."
A lie? Well yes...yes it was. But Beast had been around telepaths enough to know better than to leave his thoughts out in the surface to be read easily. After he tapped at a few buttons to release the 'lid' of the bed what had once been a baby was now what seemed to be an eight year old girl dressed in a medical gown. She would seem rather normal, just a girl that obviously had to be a mutant of some kind given the fact that he 'picked her up'.
Meanwhile he wondered what repercussions this jump in age would cause the child's development. Curiosity already had him investing in brain scans and moving equipment about while seemingly to have forgotten that Jean was even there.

A new student? That was all he had to say? What about how he was and what had happened with Victor and The Phoenix? Something was off about Hank and she couldn't put her finger on just what it was but she eyed him warily for a second. Her eyes soon fell onto the bed where a small girl around the age of eight laid in a medical gown. She wondered what was wrong with her. Her hair was long and a soft brown. She was a beautiful child. Her eyes were a light yellowish brown, her skin was smooth and ivory colored. She was obviously a mutant she could see that by the claws that adorned her hands. Jean stepped forward and looked at the girl then examined her claws. Her breath caught in her throat as she saw the familiarity of them. The looked like Victor Creed's claws.
"Hello, dear. I'm Jean. What's your name?"
The girl just looked at her with those wide eyes. She seemed to not know what was going on right now and that concerned Jean greatly. The child was scared she could feel that emotion radiating off of her as well as confusion. Where had Hank found this girl and why did her claws look like Victor Creed's? She turned to Hank once more.
"Hank where did you find her? Her claws...I've only seen them before on Victor Creed..."

Why should he think about how he was? He was here wasn't he? And in one piece. As was the child. He continued to take in data as the girl seemed to grow more aware of her surroundings. But with the transition between an infant to the age she was now, he wondered if she could even speak.
Even he didn't know what the girl's name was supposed to be, so when she didn't answer Jean he wasn't all too surprised. But that also made him wonder what the learning curve would be. Being older and more developed physically...perhaps her development would surge with it. Only time would tell.
"I'm sure they wont be too much trouble once she learns to retract them." He dismissed her comment about Creed. Why did she ask so many questions. They were questions that didn't matter. What mattered was what the girl would do. He had a camera going as well as every monitoring device he had available watching and cataloging data for every moment that passed.
Perhaps if he 'threw' her out into the general populace of the mansion she would be able to adapt. Being part of her father's genetics she had to have some kind of natural instinct....he assumed.

Jean stared at Hank as he brushed her questions off like they were nothing at all. That wasn't like him. Usually he would ramble on about stuff and answer her questions and many more that weren't even spoken yet but now he only said a few nonchalant words to her with no explanation at all about where he had found the girl or who she was. Jean started to get concerned about him and feeling the fear and confusion from the young girl made her concerns even more profound.
Looking around she saw the monitors going as well as a camera recording everything. What was he doing? He usually didn't record things unless they were important to some research or an experiment he was performing but he shouldn't be recording a young mutant girl that he had 'run into' as he put it. Things were getting weird and Jean had a bad feeling about all of this.
"Hank are you alright? You don't seem yourself."
The red haired woman watched him closely again. He really wasn't himself right now. She looked back at the girl with her wide eyes watching everything around her and taking everything in. Jean walked closer to her and reached out her hand to try and comfort the young girl. Once her skin made contact though the girl pulled away and a sharp pain sounded in Jean's head. Her hand flew up to her temple as she stepped away from the girl. She could see fire in her mind as it spread through her body but as soon as she was away from the girl it slowly disappeared leaving Jean even more confused than before. What was going on here?

His attention to his experiment turned to the red head once more. He frowned to her question because he knew what she was getting at. "I'm fine." He answered simply while he continued to look at the data that was rolling in as the girl started to take in her surroundings. Her brain activity was going through the roof now and he really couldn't have expected better results.
A smirk crossed the blue man's face as he saw Jean real back a little from touching the girl. "What about you Jean dear? You look a bit pale, maybe you should lay down." But before Jean could even say anything in return the alarms started going off. Not the alarms that he had in place for the child's well being...well his experiments well being. Those alarms were intruder alerts.
Beast moved over to a console and pulled up a few security cameras. "Seems the Brotherhood has come for a visit." That egotistical smirk turned into a bit of a frown as he moved over to grasp the girl in his arms and spoke to Jean as he headed in the other direction. "I'll take the students into the lower panic room. Make sure the ones that have to get down here." And once more he gave her little to argue with as he was already out of the room.

Jean looked up at the blue mutant in front of her. His answer was short and to the point and a little sharp towards her. His attitude and pretty much whole self had changed it seemed. This wasn't the doctor who had taught her so much. This wasn't the man she had called friend. Something was affecting him. Something wrong. She wondered what it was again but her mind could come up with nothing. Although maybe it could be the fact that he had spent so much time with the Brotherhood.
Alarms sounded through the place and made her jump almost out of her skin. She was still feeling a bit dizzy from her little spell as she looked at Hank smirking? He was really smirking. Now that was something you didn't see at all on the man in front of her. He said something about the Brotherhood being there as he scooped up the young girl and told Jean to get the other students to the panic room. She could do nothing but nod as she watched him disappear. Gathering herself she ran upstairs and told the students she passed to get to the panic room. Once she was upstairs she ran around getting the other students to where they needed to be as she kept an eye out for who was intruding into the mansion.

A jump over the fence wasn't an unusual entry for him. And before the outter defenses could even target him Victor was at the front door with his large boot slammed into the carved wood. Splinters of wood went flying as well as those two doors were knocked off of their hinges.
There were a few bold students that already tried to think they could take Victor on. And maybe in other circumstances they would have gained more concentration from him but they were simply casted aside. One down the hall and another through a wall as the large man stalked down another corridor. He knew the way to the underground and even if they changed it he'd rip the house apart to find it.
"Where is she?!"
Well unfortunately his question was a little vague on who he was actually looking for. Not that it mattered to him at the moment as he continued to either bust down doors or rip them to shreds with those metallic claws.
The door that led to the underground below was hidden and even locked fairly well with a large metallic almost safe like door. Unfortunately for the door it was still no match for Victor's strength and claws as he pushed them through the outer paneling and gripped the door to rip it straight out of the wall and throw it at the group of upperclassmen that thought they could stop him.

Jean ran around the mansion getting the students to the panic rooms and to the tunnels that led out of the school. She was clear headed now but was still worrying about Hank and the young girl. Something was wrong with what was going on. There was something up with that little girl. She ushered some of the younger students to one of the tunnels telling and older student to look out for them. If the Brotherhood was here then they had to protect the students. They had to make sure that they were alright and safe. Jean ushered more into the tunnel then closed it as she headed back down the hallways making sure that all of the students were out of the way and safe.
As Jean walked down the hall she heard the crack of wood and a crash as screams and yells sounded in the entry way. The red head woman started to run telling students she passed to get to the panic rooms and the tunnels. She had to be ready to fight this threat she didn't even know what or who it was but it didn't matter. As she got the the entry way she saw the doors off the hinges. She looked where the destruction was the worst and she ran that way. She saw Victor Creed ad heard him yell asking where someone was. Jean sent her powers at a large piece of wood that laid on the ground. Picking it up she sent it flying at Victor Creed.

Phillipa was a bit of a stalker, literally following Victor Creed from that grimy old bar. She had nothing better to do, which was exactly why she did it. Not to mention, Victor seemed to be onto something. You could literally see a light switch on in his head, and she was curious just what that light meant. What had her response triggered?
She knew the place he was going. Xavier's Mansion. They'd tried to recruit her once a number of years ago. She wasn't interested in teaching brats who thought they knew everything. But that didn't mean she was a stranger to the place. There'd been a month, when she was very bored and decided to pose as a student at the school. As much fun as that was, she'd prefer not to repeat the adventure. The point was though, she was very familiar with the school, probably not as well as Victor though, because as he charged through the school, it was almost like he was being driven by instinct.
Now, where was Phillipa in all of this? And how did she know these things? She was in... What peopled called 'phantom form'. It was almost like mist, and if she didn't concentrate her body to one area you didn't even know she was there. You know, unless you were a telepath (which there was at least one nearby, hopefully she'd stay occupied by Victor's intrusion.). She was following Victor quite closely, never quite visible. Unlike the students who came in his path, he could literally walk right through the woman and not realize she was there.... and she'd feel nothing. It was a pretty neat trick.
So, obviously she saw the attack coming, she'd actually been in the way, to be honest. But, as stated, the piece of wood just flew right through her on it's way to Victor. She ignored it. She was more curious about who this 'she' Victor was looking for.
Traveling a bit aways, so he wouldn't see her, she materialized, stepping around the bend and leaning against the wall. "You know, I could help you find whoever you're looking for. If you say please."

Victor was hit with the piece of wood square in his back. The wood shattered around him from the force but it didn't seem to phase him. All except to get his attention. Rage filled amber eyes turned with an eerie glow towards the direction of that wood. The direction of Jean. "Why if it isn't miss prissy herself. I guess I can finish what I started." He grinned at her and turned finally to take a step towards her. His mind was filled with rage and murderous intent...so whoever was in the way of his goal to find his daughter...well they weren't going to end up sitting pretty later.
But Jean should have been thankful for Pipa as she interupted his intend to shred Jean to pieces. He growled at her and moved into that door he had ripped off to wander into the depths of the mansion. Wander really wasn't the best of terms, after all he knew exactly where he was going...for the most part. The further he got the more he sniffed at the air. He was hunting someone and very intently. Lucky for him it seemed that Runt wasn't here today.

Jean stared at the man in front of her. He was covered in blood and she just hoped it wasn't from some of her students. She glanced around slightly making sure and sure enough there was no blood to be found except for on the giant man in front of her. She stared at him determined to get him out of the mansion. Where the hell were the others? She doubted she could take on Victor by herself but she had to try. The scars on her hip itched as she took a step closer to him as he taunted her saying that he was going to take care of what he started. She got herself prepared for anything that happened in the next few minutes.
He was distracted though by a voice that sounded not too far from him. She let her mind wander and picked up another mind but couldn't see her the woman who spoke to him. Jean then watched him run through the door he had ripped off. She followed him trying to stop him. He lifted his nose in the air and started sniffing. he was searching for something. Or someone rather. But who could that be? Her mind swam and she saw fire again. It was pushing at the barriers of the back of her mind but she pushed it back. Jean looked back up and threw her powers at Victor.

Well, it looked like Victor Creed wasn't in the mood to talk. Whatever, or more specifically whoever, brought him here was far more important then chitchat. But, it seemed his mission was almost forgotten by the appearance of Miss Jean Grey. Whatever his grudge was against her, it was enough to almost blind him. Only her own voice got him back on track. Phillipa smirked. She didn't change into her vapor form this time, mostly because Jean was there, and her mind was much weaker to telepaths when she was all 'ghostly'. So, she merely followed, her footsteps light and completely silent, just like a real ghost.
Watching Victor from a safe distance as he tried to pick up a trail, she also stayed clear of Jean. Well, at least until things looked like they were starting to get out of hand. Jean was trying to take Victor out. If she pulled it off, Pippa would never know who 'she' was. Pippa was easily overlooked, if only because she had the appearance of a teenager. No one ever suspected her. Especially here at a school. Most people would assume she was a student.
Phillipa kept her mind blank, refusing to think of anything as she approached from behind Jean. It wouldn't be until she was right behind her that she spoke. "You shouldn't do that. You'll only make him angrier, Jean Grey." She paused, smirking. "Besides, don't you want to know who he's looking for?"

Times like this...Victor needed a weapon with some distance and not his claws. Which usually meant that he threw some random object at the thing he needed to attack. Except down here without ripping out a wall there wasn't much to throw. So Jean only served to distract him further.
With the rage that he was in it was hard to concentrate on one thing, even with the intent that he had. The interuptions were still distracting enough that he had to take care of them first. Jean being one of them. Pipa he knew was there but it didn't seem to phase him in the slightest. Jean on the other hand, should have kept her powers to herself.
Victor turned from his trajectory and in just as swift of a movement his hands were on the ground, propelling him forward to tackle Jean to the ground. The polished floor was slick enough to send them both sliding down the hall until crashing into the wall at the end. Looming above her that beast of a man growled down at her with that wicked fanged grin. "You know Darlin'. I don't think I ever made you scream...in pain that is." He gave a dark chuckle before his hand moved to grip her shoulder and rip his claws into her flesh without so much as a second thought. He wanted to hear her scream while his other hand had her other shoulder pinned to the ground.
