This was a good idea, Remy told himself over and over in his mind. Getting away from the crazy and stepping into something even more crazy would be good. He just knew it. Nothing bad ever happened at these places, and here he could almost be himself and not get in trouble for it. Blow something up? It was just an act!
Remy smiled at the idea of being able to use his powers and get away with it by simply stating he was an act, but knew chancing it wasn't worth it. So instead, with his hands in his pockets he wondered around getting a feel for being normal. It was a bit enteraining which is something he found surprising.
As he wondered around taking in the sights he couldn't help but feel even the slightest bit bored. Even surrounded by people he felt a tad lonely. He looked around a while longer, stopping at a small gift shop. He eyed a few things, all of which looked pretty cheap in quality to him. But then again, this was a guy who in the short time he'd been here swiped a jewled bracelet off a lady by simply shaking her hand. He sighed to himself and turned to wonder a bit more.

It was pretty easy to tell the difference between performers and guest. Not just because of the acts, but just their appearance in general. They stood out like sore thumbs. Basically, you knew on sight who was part of the troupe and who wasn’t. Except for Aggie. She looked just like anyone else as she wandered the crowds. She found it easier to ignore the performances when she couldn’t see them. So, every time there was a show? She hung out with the guests, blending in, and avoiding her fellow troupe members at all costs. Of course everyone thought it strange, after all, how could a Fury have a circus phobia? But no one tried to change the behavior. So, for now, she could lose herself in the crowd, forget about what her family was doing.
Somehow, she found herself at the gift shop. Definitely a safe place. She wouldn’t have to worry about performers here. Sadly, she’d seen the little souvenirs hundreds of times already, and was almost instantly bored. Great. Letting out a sigh, she let her bright gaze wander. She was surrounded mostly by families, parents buying little trinkets for over excited children. One young man caught her interest though. She didn’t know how old he was, but god was he good looking. Freakishly good looking. And, sadly, without realizing it, she was staring at him…

Sighing loudly Remy was ready to call it quits, wonder around a bit more perhaps see what was so great that so many people had showed up then go home. He glanced up from what he was looking at and caught eye with a girl. Remy kept the stare but finally looked away figuring she probably thought he was a theif. Then again he was.
He stepped away from the items and went to leave but when he looked towards her again he made more notice. She was definatly pretty, better looking than most the people here. Then again, most the people here were married. Again not something that mattered to Remy as sad as it was.
She looked a bit different though. A certain mystery loomed around her and this was a selling point for Remy. Keeping his usual cocky smile locked away he made his way in her direction, acting as if an item had caught his eye, however once in ear shot he spoke to her. "Ya look as interesed as ah feel.."

Aggie really didn’t know she was staring. Poor girl. So, when he’d looked at her the first time, and met her stare with his own, for some reason it didn’t click in her head. It wasn’t until the second glance from him though that the light bulb finally went off in her head. Oh. Quickly she blinked several times. A little exaggerated, but obviously an attempt to stop herself from repeating the act. Instead, she just smiled ever so slightly. Best to be friendly, right?
She didn’t expect him to come over though. In her mind, he would leave and she’d never see him again. And she’d probably spend the rest of the week day dreaming about the good looking guest. The closer he got though, the stronger that fantasy seem to become. Close up, he really was good looking. Better looking then she’d thought. And he had the most interesting accent to match. Without meaning to, she blushed softly, the color not that obvious against her flaming red hair, thankfully. But now she was caught in a bit of a pickle.
Should she say something back? Even when she wasn’t giving a command, her voice had… An effect on people. It wasn’t intentional, it just happened. Normally, she’d stay silent. Smile, and act like she was mute. But that usually chased people off. This guy was so handsome, she honestly didn’t want him thinking anything bad about her. For probably the first time, ever, she opened her mouth to speak to a guest. ”I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to stare.”
The first thing almost everyone noticed about this girl when she spoke, was how unearthly her voice was. It was…. Well, most people said she had the voice of an Angel. That when she spoke, it was the most beautiful sound they’d ever heard. And, what most people wouldn’t notice, is the effect this angelic voice had on them. It made people want to do as she asked, no matter how crazy it was. And, even when she wasn’t asking something of you, it still carried a strange weight to it. Like, for example, every time she apologized, most people would feel the intense desire to share the blame. As if what she’d said had been their thought. Well, time to see if this good looking guest was weak minded enough to fall to this power, or if he had the mental strength to shrug it off…

Remy smiled brightly turning his full attention on her as she spoke. His smile only deepened at the sound of her voice, she was quite lovely and her voice only made that more obvious. In a way she reminded him of someone he used to know, but quickly he forced the idea away, sure it would bring about memories he didn't want anymore.
Usually womanizing was a huge deal for Remy. A hobby of sorts, on a good day he could juggle two or more at a time and if they found out still keep them around by charm alone. But those days became a bit dull and he had decided to try out the 'good guy' style for a while. Needless to say it hadn't been working out and with that fact hanging over his head Remy had avoided women all togther. But today was a day for new things, so why not talk to a pretty girl. No harm could come from it.
"Well darlin' ah didn't mean to either but.. If we're gonna be honest ah do now." His flirty smile took over against his wishes and he sighed a little trying to force it away. "Remy, nice to meet ya'.." he thought about offering a handshake but by the looks of it she felt as soft as she seemed and lord knows he wouldn't be able to stop the flirting then. "Um. So ya 'ere with someone? Ah mean, ya don't look to interested in the place.."

Aggie was a silly one, almost puppish if you thought about it. A little praise, and she turned into your best friend, willing to do near anything to please the person. And, like a puppy, scolding wouldn’t chase her off, she’d come back, tail between her legs eventually. Loyal little bugger she was. Sadly, she was a bit… well quick when it came to these loyalties. So it wasn’t unheard of for her to attach herself to someone after just meeting them.
As expected, the moment his smile brightened, it was like her whole demeanor changed. From a curious teenager, to a puppy that had just been praised. If only she had a tail, it’d be wagging like crazy at this moment. She couldn’t help her own smile brightening in response. Unable to help it, she found herself thinking about just how nice his smile was. He was one of those guys that was extremely handsome normally, but became drop dead gorgeous when he smiled. Great, she’d probably be daydreaming about that smile for weeks after this!
Only barely did she manage to break from her train of thoughts to hear what he said. Instantly she blushed slightly. It wasn’t often that she was flirted with, especially by such a good looking guest! She opened her mouth, in an attempt to come up with some sort of response, but quickly closed it, nothing coming to mind, which only made her blush even more. Even for being so embarrassed, the girl felt unusually confident, at least when it came to talking. She was bound to talk from time to time, but rarely did she actually feel… Well talkative! Right now, though, seemed to be one of those times. Only time would tell if that was a good thing or bad.
Hearing his name, that bright smile of hers was back in a heartbeat. ”Nice to meet you, Remy. I’m Aggie.” There was a slight hint of an order in there. As if to say that was the only ‘name’ she’d like to be called. Which, aside from nick names or pet names, really was the only name she responded to. Her full name, Agatha, was often called a grandma’s name, so she rarely went by it. And her middle name…. Well, let’s just say there was a reason she didn’t tell anyone it.
His question surprised her a little, her smile shrinking just a little. He’d hit the nail on the head when he guessed she wasn’t that interested in the circus. If only he realized just how right he’d been. After a moment though, she’d recovered. ”Technically, no.” She paused for only a moment as she realized how confusing the answer was. ”My family, they’re performers.”

He noticed she seemed almost happy to have someone talking to her, this was a bit odd.. But he passed it off as over friendly. He'd met a lot of people like that, again usually he was stealing from them or something but this time nothing of the sort was going on. Which in a small point aggrivated him, when he wasn't trying the easy prey just fell in his lap. He held back a sigh that would have expressed this annoyance as to not offend her. She seemed nice enough he didn't want to do that.
He smiled in reply to her name but if faded a bit when she mentioned her family being performers, this seemed a bit of an odd way to express it. If his family worked at a place like this he'd think he would be pretty happy about it.. But, his family was a bunch of murdering theives... While he did brag about them sometimes, it wasn't like bragging about performers at a circus.
"What about you then?" He asked honestly curious now by the way she reponded. "Don' you do anythin'?" He smiled a bit before dropping eye contact. "Or is it ya job to make guests feel as welcomed as possible?"

Agatha was overly friendly. And trusting. Easy prey as he’d put it. Which was probably why she was always managing to fall in with the wrong group of friends. Sure, they usually asked her to do things for them, specifically using her power to help them out… But isn’t that what friends are for? To help each other? Sadly, most people didn’t see it this way. Everyone always saying that she was being taken advantage of. For some reason, the girl couldn’t see why people thought that.
Before her parent’s accident, Aggie had loved the circus. She used to brag about it, she was so proud. After, of course, that had changed. She couldn’t bring herself to love the thing that had taken her parents from her. And, the older she got, that hatred and grown into an actual phobia. A phobia strong enough that she’d refused to get within ten feet of the Big Tent.
So, obviously, with his next questions, her smile shrunk a little again. Not intentionally, of course. After a few seconds though, she forced it back, this time faking that perky expression. ”My job? Stay out of everyone’s way.” She paused for only a moment. ”The family business doesn’t…. interest me that much.” There was a slight hesitation in her response that time, as if wanting to say something a bit stronger worded.

He didn't need an ability to feel out other people's emotions to know she wasn't as happy as she had seemed moments before. Obviously being here wasn't her idea of a good time. Again this was weird, he could be upset at a circus, known as one of the happiest places around? Ok even he was a bit annoyed here but for different reasons he was sure.
"So, why hang aroun then? Ah mean.. can't ya leave?" He asked with a shrug sure it sounded easy enough but almost everyone had things binding them to the things they hated. He was sure hers was her family and he could relate, he stayed around his for years before he finally broke free. "Ah doubt ah could stay 'ere long.. Too cheery for meh.." He said again looking back towards her once more, feeling almost bad for her situation even though he didn't even fully know it.

Aggie didn’t like people knowing when she wasn’t happy. For some reason, she was under the delusion that she should be happy all the time. ALL THE TIME. That if she wasn’t, people would think something was wrong with her. Which was why, even when she was upset, even slightly, she always put on a brave face and faked happiness until she forgot why she wasn’t happy to begin with.
So, still faking it, she tried to act as normal as possible, forcing herself to shrug slightly at the question. ”I could. But I’d hate to leave my family.” He’d guessed right on her reason. But she’d more than considered leaving. She went through a phase several times a month when she was absolutely convinced she would leave this place and go live with another relative, or find her own way to make it in this world. Obviously she’d never gone through with it.
It was a good thing that the conversation was turning from her reason for staying to a more generic being in the circus in general. This brightened her mood a little, that fake smile replaced with a real one at last as she stuffed her hands in her pockets. ”You should see this place before or after a show. No fun and games then.” Without meaning to, and without realizing it, she’d said something that her power could work with. If it was possible to manipulate Remy’s mind, now would be the moment of truth.
