It is the Start of September! And to everyone that reads these, they know what it means. That’s right. School has officially started for all students at Xavier’s!
Okay, just a reminder of how things will work this school year. Every so often (Up to the Cohort mentors and their groups how often) will rp out a ‘class’, where the mentor can teach their students whatever they want to. This could be everyday skills, to combat, whatever the teacher wants to cover that day. So! What I am getting at. Cohort mentors can start holding lessons now, so be on the lookout if you play a student. And mentors? Start thinking about what you want to cover first, and when. Just remember to send a pm to everyone in your group when you make a lesson, so they can bring their student in.
In regards to the Fest... We are going to leave the board up until the 9th, since there are several threads going. So you have a little over a week to wrap things up. After that point, all the threads will be moved to the archives, and the Festival officially over.
To all students, we have plenty of clubs! It isn't required for students to have extra curricular activities, but it is highly recommended. So if you can see your character in a club, sign up! At this moment, there are only three remaining spots in Paragon for open sign up. So if you want in on that club, you better sign up fast! Once there are five members, it will go from sign ups to invitation only! The same goes for Hellions.
Yet another reminder to students. Remember to sign up for dorm rooms ASAP!
Hmmmm I believe that's everything. If I forgot something, an update will probably pop up sometime in the near future.

UPDATE!
So, bad things happen when I have no internet access for several days. And by bad? I mean I start to plot. All of you probably know this, considering ALL my big plot and board changes happen when I can’t get on the board. So, so no one feels totally blindsided by the coming changes, I am listening them all here! Pay attention.
First! Some group changes. There are two groups in particular that have… Well, one is totally deserted and the other is just about. These groups are The Runaways, and the HMF. So! We decided to change things up. Both these groups are ‘home made’, groups that were created specifically for this board. What we are going to do, is change these to ‘canon’ groups. This means neither will exist. Everyone in these groups will be resorted as regular mutants, and you can then decide to have them join other groups, or rejoin one of the ones that is taking it’s place. From this moment on….
The Runaways are to become the Morlocks, a group of (mostly) unsightful(by human standards) mutants that have decided to dwell underground instead of live among humans and human looking mutants. (With this group, not all of them are ‘ugly’, but their mutations have deformed them, whether it be scales, wings, third eyes, anything that isn’t acceptable in human society. Only a rare few appear normal.) With them changing, their hide out in Canada is going to be deleted. Instead, boards will be made in all the big cities, because, unlike other groups, the Morlocks are much more spread out.
The HMF is to become SHIELD. I don’t think I have to explain much about these men and women, but for those of you who don’t know who they are, they are a sort of…. Law-enforcement agency, dealing mostly in superhuman threats. Basically, the same concept as the HMF now, just more honorable.
Third, The Exiles are officially part of the X-men. Sort of. They are skill Exiles. More along the lines of, The Exiles are their own team, but they are ‘a part’ of the X-men. They are the X-men of Europe, because the X-men can’t respond to European calls, at least not fast enough to be useful, the Exiles are the ones to answer. As you have probably already assumed, this means X-men can stay at the castle all they want, Exiles can stay at the mansion all they want. It’s even allowed for Cohort mentors to drag their students off to France for field trips. And, vice versa…. With the Exiles becoming a part of the X-men, this means, they can, and will have students living full time at the castle.
In Regards to Exile Students! They work the exact same way as X-men students. Get enough of them, Cohorts will be made, clubs, etc. They will have the same rank as X-men students (So they will be X-students), but it will specify which school they attend. And, when we get enough Exile students, we will also hold, quite literally, ‘X-games’. Friendly competitions between the school schools, twice a year, one during the summer, one in winter (Like the Olympics, just more often.).
Since we are bringing Exile students into the mix late in the game, we are allowing ‘transfers’ if you would rather have your student go to the X-castle instead of the mansion. It will work the other way as well, Exile students can transfer if they desire. Travel is also fairly easy between the two schools, there are scheduled flights between the mansion and the castle, one every Monday, the other every Thursday. Students at the mansion are allowed to catch these flights if they have a teacher’s permission.
Alright! With all the group and student business done with, on to our next order of business! Just a small one though. I will be pming a bunch of characters, asking them to clarify or fix something power related that will ‘even the odds’ a bit, which leads up to our next order of business….
The Rolling System. Some of you know what it is, some of you don’t. I will be posting something up in the Important Info about how it works, but here’s just a quick over view. All fights from now on (Where neither party can agree on who wins the fight) will be required to roll a dice to decide the victor. There are two ways it can work, which you can read about in the thread cause I won’t repeat myself. Either way, this is to even the odds in a fight. And yes, even the strongest of characters will have to roll in the right situations.
