This guy really didn’t learn. Ever. He just went on, and on, and on. Rambling at a pace even fluent speakers would have difficulty following. Pandora was lost after a few words. And yet he kept going, she couldn’t even pipe in and tell him to slow down. Nope, he was off in his own little words, excited about something. She was pretty sure she’d told him no…. That wasn’t something to be excited about… So what the hell was so great?
Okay, that wasn’t necessarily true. She caught a few words that she was more familiar with, but as a whole, totally lost. Basically, for as much as she understood the language, it only hindered her here, because she was basically trying to guess at what he’d said that included words like ‘help’, ‘paint’, ‘sorry’, and a few others… She couldn’t even use his pauses between sentences to try to understand because…. They’d been nonexistent.
Finally though, silence returned… And Pandora just stared at him with a blank expression. Finally though, she spoke. ”You talk to fast.” Sighing, she shook her head. ”I do not understand you when you talk tzat fast.” Fearing he might try to repeat himself though, she went back to the painting and sculpting her subject, because, she’d at least caught enough of what he said to know he’d mentioned it again. ”I do not want to be painted or sculpted by a stranger. I am sorry. But it makes you sound like…” She paused as she tried to find the English word. ”A…. creeper? I tzink….”

Theo had seen how Astra looked the entire time he had talked, and he feeling like he should just leave her be now. He could see that she must just be putting up with him and he didn't want her to be doing that. He figured he was speaking too fast as excited as he was, and what she had said only proved that he had. He wasn't sure what to do from this point, but he didn't show it on his face at all and just kept smiling. He figured he should just talk for a bit more then just run off and leave her be after a bit.
" Yes, I know I was talking to fast there. I'm sorry about that. I asked if you would be willing to help me if I started to learn Greek on my own?" Theo said to her in a slow enough way that she could have time to understand him. " I also said that I would be glad to paint or sculpt you anything you wanted me to. It can be anything you want it to be. I don't know if you want me to now though."
Theo didn't know how she would respond to that, but he had an idea of how he could make it so he could leave her be naturally. He never did like having to do this, but he had to do it many times in the past. He got a long with people, but no one ever seemed to want to be his friend even though they didn't hate him. He figured it was because of his artistic sense kicking in and causing him to do strange things. He didn't give her enough time to reply before he decided he should just leave instead of wait.
" Sorry, but I think I should just go out into the woods for a few days again now. It was a pleasure meeting you, and if you ever want anything painted or sculpted feel free to ask." Theo said to her in a way that was meant to be cheerful, but it was clear he wasn't feeling that way to anyone who paid attention, and slow enough she could understand him. " I'll be out of your way now then. I'm sorry if I wasted your time."
Theo turned and started to head off. He wasn't getting anywhere fast though since he was walking away at a slow pace due to him think what all he should do now.
